Getting Here
From Belize City, you have two transportation options:
- Take a short flight from Belize City to San Pedro. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes and offers spectacular views of the surrounding islands and sea. Tropic Air operates small aircraft with a maximum capacity of 15 passengers. After landing, you can reach the apartment on foot, by golf cart, or by taxi.
- Travel by water taxi. Services operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with several departures throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and offers an opportunity to meet local residents, experience the culture, and hear stories about San Pedro.
Once you arrive, the island atmosphere is immediately apparent. The locals are friendly, helpful, and English-speaking, and they are happy to help make your holiday more enjoyable.
Local Information
San Pedro uses the Belizean dollar, although United States dollars are also accepted. The exchange rate is 1 USD to 2 Belizean dollars. Most establishments accept credit cards as well.
Activities
Once you become familiar with the area, there are many ways to explore the island and its surroundings:
- Fishing and sampling freshly caught fish

- Visiting Mayan ruins and temples in the jungle

The villa was well stocked, centrally located and looks exactly like the pictures!! One pick-up is included upon arrival and they will coordinate your golf cart drop off. It is very close to the nightlife and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Honestly, the golf cart is optional because you can walk to most places. We experience some connectivity issues with the wifi and they fixed it almost immediately so very responsive hosts! Our stay for 5 was very delightful and we definitely recommend booking here!

The villa is just as it is in the listing. We had an amazing time. It's a very quiet area. You can walk along the beach or just lie on one of the lounge chairs. I would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this Airbnb! The accommodations were exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well maintained. The property itself is beautiful, with gorgeous grounds that made it feel like a true getaway. We also loved how conveniently located it was, with great restaurants and grocery stores just a short walk or drive away. Everything about our stay was easy and enjoyable, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

We loved it here!! Close to everything and it had its own dock outside which made it perfect for our fishing trip. They were able to pick us up from there. The space was really roomy and the AC worked great! We loved being able to walk to Lobster Fest, restaurants and bars..... and the grocery store is just steps away. Pista was really friendly and helpful anytime we needed something. We will definitely be back!

This was our first trip to Belize, we fell in love with Belize. Pista & all her staff were always friendly, kind & welcoming. Always professional & any request were always on point, very prompt with their response. Our Villa was clean, spacious, equipped with everything we needed. I would recommend Babylon Resort & we definitely would return to stay again. Belize is definitely Unbelizeable!

We had a great time staying here! We were able to walk to everything we needed within 20-30 minutes and it’s a 10 minute walk from the ferry. Host was so helpful and responsive to everything we needed! There is a pool although it is a smaller above ground pool so keep that in mind, but was clean and we mostly were using beaches. Overall great time and enjoyed our stay!
