We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and located in a small condominium with only a few private homes, making it peaceful and relaxing. The pool is small but perfect for a family or a group of friends. Just keep in mind that it is a bit deep, so it’s good to be careful, especially with children. The location is excellent—only a 3–5 minute walk to downtown Tamarindo, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Everything is within walking distance. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the housekeeper was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

Negative: Sink broke down two days into our 5 day trip, owner was notified the same day but didn’t bother answering. I had to track down the maintenance guy myself and he couldn’t even take care of the leak, had to repair it myself. Bathroom windows were disgusting, spider webs, moisture and insects coming in while in the shower. We also took the trash out one night and put it in the trash bin, woke up the next day with trash all over the floor and in the pool, animals found there way through the gate and went trough the bags. The kitchen only had the bare minimum, not even salt or pepper. Positive: the location is really great, 5-10 minutes walk to the city center/beach and just far enough so that the noise of the nightlife doesn’t reach you. It has a nice chilling spot on the roof. The main area of the house is big, we spent most of our time there. There is a safe in the master bedroom.

We had an incredible time! This place was perfect. Loved the pool and rooftop patio. Super walkable to everything (around 10 min). Highly recommend!!

Très beau séjour dans l'ensemble. C'est un bel endroit, relativement proche de tout, quoi qu'un peu plus loin de la plage. Pas idéal pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants mais pour des adultes avec des grands adolescents, c'est très bien. Les points forts sont: La belle disposition et la bâtisse en générale, l'espace intérieurs et la petite piscine sont vraiment bien, le stationnement sur la rue gratuit est pratique et les clôtures entourant l'immeuble en font un endroit intime et sécuritaire, la belle fenestration au rez-de-chaussée. Les points faibles pour nous sont: Nous avons tous trouvé les lits et oreillers moins confortables et aucune literie additionnelle n'étaient disponible sur place, la cuisine est très peu équipé quoi que fonctionnelle. Certaine chose de base comme du sel manquaient, les murs étaient sales par endroit et les lieux semblent avoir plus de 10 ans d'usure même si l'immeuble est récent.

gerardo's place was well above our expectations. we checked out of our previous hotel early to check out tamarindo and our experience at gerardo's place was a major upgrade. a brilliant layout that makes the space feel much larger than it is. every amenity you need for your stay. the private patio, dipping pool, and massive rooftop patio are major highlights. a 5-minute walk down to the heart of tamarindo and the beaech, but far enough to feel completely removed from the chaos and noise. we were lucky enough to be able to extend by a day, wish we could have extended by a month!
