The Space
El Capuchin is a two-bedroom rental apartment within the Castillo de Amber villa, which consists of four apartments. Each room offers ocean views, and the property includes a spacious pool area with a barbecue lounge.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed and an adjoining living area with a sofa bed. The separate guest bedroom contains two single beds. A large covered outdoor balcony provides an excellent spot for observing local wildlife.
Please note that the master bedroom, kitchen, and guest bedroom are not connected internally; all rooms are accessed via the open-air, covered balcony.

The villa is centrally situated within walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, a bank, and public transportation to the beach. A short stroll leads to the heart of Manuel Antonio, where you can find top dining options, shopping, a canopy tour, and a butterfly garden.

The jungle views from this Airbnb were amazing! We saw three kinds of monkeys, iguanas, bats, and tropical birds right from the balcony, plus sloths on our walks to nearby popular restaurants and the bus stop. The hosts were also incredibly helpful, arranging taxis and connecting us with a family photographer. Important notes for future guests: * "Paid washer/dryer" means you pay the cleaner $10 per load to do it, rather than using on-site coin machines. * Gaps between the railing bars could be hazardous for crawling babies or toddlers. It wasn't an issue for our older kids, but worth noting for young families. *The sliding door to the room with two single beds automatically locks when shut (guests can still exit). There is no need to use the key; I didn't realize this at first and accidentally locked my kids in overnight with the key (once locked with the key, guests can't exit). Overall, we had a great stay and loved being completely immersed in nature!

We really enjoyed our stay at Castillo de Amber! We weren’t sure how our kids would feel about only being able to access our room from the balcony but it ended up being perfectly fine. The bedrooms are air conditioned with good airflow but the kitchen is not and becomes quite hot. The setting and view are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the monkeys in the trees on a daily basis, iguanas sunbathing by the pool and scarlet macaws flying by. Although hilly, it’s easily walkable to nearby restaurants and shops.

Amazing spot in Manuel Antonio! The space was beautifully played out. The furniture super comfortable. The view are spectacular. The pool area was. A big plus! Highly recommended!

The apartment is very conveniently located, a few kilometers from the entrance to the park and close to the Espadilla public beach, which is very nice. Also, it's close to restaurants. It has a spectacular view of the forest and sea, and we even saw monkeys while having breakfast. He did not advise going with small children as the rooms do not communicate with each other. Although once you get used to it, it's okay. We spent 3 amazing nights there. The pool and barbecue are great for relaxing moments.

A gem, right in the middle of Manuel Antonio. Completely private, with only wildlife to wake you up in the morning. A nice swimming pool, large and good beds, fantastic views, large terrace, full kitchen, large showers, private parking space and easy (with 4x4) access to beaches. You could even come to the beach by car! We wish we could have stayed longer in this Castillo 😍

The accommodation is good but I would recommend it more for couples or older adults, as they do not allow you to talk in the pool after 9. The pool has no night light and if you like to live with nature it is a good place. Howler monkeys are heard very often at night and I saw very beautiful frogs and lizards. Take into account that if you travel to Manuel Antonio, you will surely go on day and night tours. You cannot use the common area because this could be annoying for other guests. He doesn't mention it, but he has a housekeeper who can come in to clean your room. Personally, I don't like someone coming in while I'm gone. But he's an honest person, nothing was missing, everything was complete

The view was amazing. We saw all sorts of animals just outside the balcony. Monkeys, Toucan, Iguanas..... very peaceful.

If you want a prime location in Manuel Antonio that has a great ocean view and natural surroundings, this is an excellent spot. We appreciated the ability to walk to many restaurants and shops, plus the pool and housekeeping and laundry services. The proximity to regional points of interest is good. It’s a long walk to the beach, but driving was fine with us — and we enjoyed the pool every day. The apartment was very clean, charming and well-appointed. The grand porch was our living space. We came to be outdoors and so we were! The two bedrooms and kitchen are accessed from the porch. The bedrooms are air conditioned. Parking was on the premises and the neighborhood is lovely and safe. Kent was a very responsive host. Thank you for a memorable stay!
