The Space
Dos Monitos #3 is situated in Playa Grande, just a short walk from the beach and approximately 20 minutes from the renowned Tamarindo. This property is fully furnished with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. It offers secure parking within a small gated community and includes security services.
The estate features a main house with six elegantly designed bedrooms offering panoramic ocean views, along with three separate villas. Each villa has its own private pool, providing the perfect blend of privacy and comfort.
The villa is part of a large property that includes two additional smaller villas and a main luxury ocean-view house. The villas are thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy, each fully equipped and with access to a private pool.
The house has a modular layout consisting of two separate blocks. One block contains the master bedroom, which is detached from the main living area. The other block includes the second and third bedrooms, along with a kitchen and living room combined into an open space. This layout is important to consider for families with young children.

Pets are welcome with an additional fee of $300 per stay, payable through Airbnb after booking confirmation. Guests must notify the host in advance if they plan to bring a pet.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom house of Casa Dos Monitos. Overall the house was amazing and makes for a great stay in Playa Grande Highlights: Secure and private Great restaurants within walking distance. Grocery stores within walking distance and short drive Unit has 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, although one of the bedroom/bathrooms is located in separate area from main house, so not ideal for families with young children as you are isolated Cons: ***Most of the items below are a result of bad luck, and maintenance team did fix. Entire area had a water shortage and thus we had no water multiple times during our stay. They did communicate this, and trucked in water to fill tank The shower heads were cracked and not usable, but they sent maintenance team and installed new shower heads. Dishwasher wouldn't drain and needed maintenance team to work on it Air Conditioner in one bedroom needed maintenance and thus that room was very hot for one night. Batteries dead in front door lock,

Great option near Playa Grande! The concierge crew is very helpful and responsive. And the house looks like something that came out of a movie, also very clean and even better than in the pictures. I would for sure recommend it!

We had an amazing stay at this air bnb, the house was even bigger than the pictures made it seem. It was very clean inside and outside and the concierge service was extremely helpful and responsive anytime we reached out. The location is also perfect as it’s so close to the beach as well as local restaurants and supermarkets. We would stay here again for sure!

Modern, private, luxurious place with a great open kitchen + pool setup. Loved the bedroom layout for privacy. 15–20 min walk to the beach and tons of restaurants nearby. Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Costa Rica home. We were there over Christmas with our family a few friends. It was quiet and peaceful. The pool area is relaxing the the kitchen adequate. We had some water issues while there but our concierge was very responsive and sent workers in, even on Christmas Eve, to address it. They communicate via Whats App and it very efficient. There are restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend Bowls and Pots, just down the street). We also really enjoyed how quiet Playa Grande is compared to the other beach towns in the area. It's just right for a get-away without the crowds of tourists and endless shops with cheap trinkets (like you'd find in Tamarindo). It is possible to walk to the beach but if you're looking to be right on the beach and spend most of your time surfing or doing other beach activities, this may not be the place for you. Ultimately, loved our stay and would return!

The house is beautiful and the location was great. The location is near many good restaurants and an easy drive down to Playa Grande for a surf (the beach is not walkable from the house). The house is on a very peaceful street and the howler monkeys visited next door every morning. The host was very attentive and quickly provided us extra trash bags when we requested. The only reason for the four star review was that the layout of the house was not clear and the shower in the master bathroom was just a trickle, making it unusable for our trip. The layout of the house has the master bedroom in a separate building from the living space and other two bedrooms. It is not ideal for a family visiting a foreign country to have their kids sleeping in a different building and I believe that should have been very clear in the listing. However the property is very safe and secure with a large gate and area security making consistent patrols.

The power outages were a pain to deal with along with inconsistent internet when we happened to be at the property. The power outages were caused by construction on the guard station and at times there was no one to assist causing the temperature in the house to be quite high.

We loved our family journey. This was our first trip to Costa Rica but far from the last! The villa was really perfect and met our expectations! Our host responded quickly when we had any questions or requests. We are already planning our next vacation in Costa and we will definitely return to this villa :) Thank you again
