Great beachfront location. The house is complete and you have everything you need to have a good time. Ted is a very good host and is always attentive to what you need. Speaking of surfing, it's perfect. It's right in front of the Matapalo break.

Ted was an attentive and caring host, listening to our needs and very helpful in ensuring we had a great stay, which we 100% did! The place is heavenly; you couldn't ask for anything better.

Pieza Paraíso is a gem in the middle of the jungle. It's an open space with plenty of breeze and only a 1-minute walk to the beach. You're surrounded by trees, with the occasional monkey and lots of birds stopping by to say hello. There’s hot water and great internet, even on rainy days. Although it says so in the description, I had my doubts at first, but believe it, it works all the time! Ted was very communicative and made everything easy and simple for us. 100% recommended.

Ted’s place was perfect for us. Like all places in Matapalo, it’s off the grid and solar powered. The experience of the outdoor kitchen and macaws flying overhead is unmatched. incredibly close to matapalo break. Ted’s recommendations and help were spot on!

perfect location for surf….

Unique place in the green heart of Matapalo. It's Pura Vida in its purest form. Good beds, nice shower, good outdoor space. There is soap, shampoo, coffee etc. Laundry can be done, towels are changed. You can sit on the private beach for hours. Immerse yourself where you come to, don't expect paved paths (you really need an SUV) but once there you land in paradise. Do your shopping in Puntarenas because that 17 km to the location is a special ride! The monkeys hang in the tree in front of you, the fridge has extra locks especially for them, the drinking water comes from a spring, all the organic waste you can throw outside. Can't say enough good things about Ted and our stay with him at the Osa! Ted was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the very beginning, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at home for our large group and 2 dogs. His communication was excellent throughout the entire process and he was quick responses, clear instructions, and super helpful recommendations for activities in the area. The overall vibe of the place was amazing — warm, inviting, and exactly what we were hoping for our group. We rented both the beach house and his recently finished treehouse. The wildlife and nearby beaches were beautiful and we were able to borrow some surfboards to get out on the water ourselves. We also hired Heidi to cook our meals and this was a highlight for everyone in our group to experience excellent Costa Rican cooking - she was such a delight also! If you up for the adventure and do not mind travelling a rather rough road to get there, I would recommend staying here with Ted!
