We loved the house! It is super well furnished and clean, and the views are beautiful. The service from Miguel, who manages it, was super good! I highly recommend the house

Host Response

Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to have you!

Stayed at the property for 7 nights, used the shuttle from the airport, stopped for groceries at the Mega, then up to Sayulita. Host met us there, showed us the property and recommended to rent a golf-cart, which we did. (Be sure to rent a golf cart that has some power as the driveway up to the house is fairly steep, we had 4 adults in the cart, two of us would jumped off so that we could reach the top!). Anna-Lena was very quick to respond when we had any questions. House was cleaned twice during our stay, which was wonderful. Location was quiet, relaxing, away from the busy Sayulita, yet a very close ride in our golf cart to the restaurants, centre of town, beach and shops.

Exactly what we needed for our stay in Sayulita! The house is amazing, accurately described and the house manager, is super responsive and helpful. Our stay at Casa Magia was incredible! Our two boys (12 & 9) loved the property so much they chose to stay and play in the pool frequently! Some helpful tips below: ⚫️ A golf cart to access the home is crucial, it is on a very steep hill. Highly recommend Sayulita Golf Cart Rentals. Great communication, flawless pickup/drop-off and you get to park in their lot free of charge when in town and that is worth its weight in ⚫️ Each room is separated by an outdoor hallway with a steep stairwell. This doesn’t create a safety issue, whatsoever, the property is protected well. ⚫️ Perfect for families. Location is a >5 minute golf cart ride to everything including the beaches ⚫️ Chef Daniel from Mexotik cooked multiple times and was incredible. Highly recommend! His business card is in the binder on the coffee table ⚫️ Host/house manager are help

Casa Magia is incredible! Beautifully equipped and the view cannot be beat. We loved how close we were to everything (we walked) but how private and secluded the house was. The hill is no joke and tricky in the rain but we found it to be walkable and loved cooling off in the pool after a hot ascent from town. Overall the ensuite bathrooms in every room were super convenient, the pool was impeccable, it is clear that a lot of thought has been put into everything. We would certainly recommend it to friends.

We just left a week long stay at Casa Magia. This trip was everything we expected and more. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Close to town but far enough away to not be in the hustle and sounds of it. We could hear a roster crowing at different times but luckily it was far enough away to not annoy us. The wide open feel of the upper floor left us feeling like the world is just one big open place for a week. Miguel was very helpful on check in and with whatever inquiries we had. The drive up to the casa is a steep hill and golf carts are a must. A little expensive but definitely worth it. I could not imagine walking up the hill twice a day. I made ice everyday but buying one bag before you go would be a great effort saver. The beds felt very comfortable and everything was very clean. There were my husband and myself and our three kids in their twenties and everyone loved the spaciousness and luxury the home presented to us. I'd go back again.

This place was the highlight of our Sayulita stay. Absolutely beautiful home, perfect communal area with epic ocean views and sunsets, perfect for staying in and cooking supper. Master bedroom is beautiful and spacious, and the floor to ceiling windows in the shower are fun once you accept it lol. Each bedroom is really relaxing and cozy at the same time. The 40’ salt water pool was always perfect temperature making morning and evening swims a really nice way to spend the time. The home is a real gem, perfect for 6 people. Quiet location, secluded and relaxing - which is a very nice welcome in Sayulita. The home is on top of a steep hill, 100% walkable even in noon heat (even for our 60yo parents), but you have to be okey to break a little sweat. We rented a cart (gas powered) for some of our stay, would recommend it. Overall, a dream place to stay - worth every penny. Made us feel like gringos in paradise.

Casa Magia is beautiful. The view is incredible, breathtaking. The space is very modern clean and accommodated three separate individual person parties very well. We each had our own private space and a wonderful common space. All rooms had nice views and our kitchen and living room area had the best view. Lots of levels to hang out in in a beautiful view from all of them. Great for a small group looking to enjoy Sayulita and not being in each other’s space. Couple tips: you’re high up in the hills so the last little stretch of road is a little steep, but the host recommended a golf cart rental place and the type of golf cart that gave us no trouble getting in and out. The house was very secure and we had a wonderful stay and would recommend anyone looking for a great place with the view to stay with a few friends.

Anna’s Sayulita residence was a gorgeous property. We found ourselves in the pool 90% of the time to cool down from the humidity and the heat. The pool was amazing! Luckily the bedrooms all had functioning A/C units which saved my friends lol. Anna and her property manager were always responsive during our stay which was of great importance as we needed a lot of help coordinating events and contacting drivers! I would definitely recommend staying here!

It's a house with everything you need and more to enjoy as a family, the views are beautiful and the privacy is worth it. Some challenges are access, which naturally due to the location is complicated, and being immersed in nature there is quite a bit of fauna and therefore some sounds of the animals themselves. I'd like to highlight the pool, which is incredible, and the furniture in general is adequate and necessary. I suggest improving the insulation of the rooms to avoid insect access as much as possible, which is natural in the area where the accommodation is located. In short, it is a very good accommodation and in this case Miguel, the administrator, always responded to our concerns.

Casa Magia was the perfect getaway for our family. Plenty of space to be together and to be apart. Driveway is a challenge, but after a few goes, we had it down. Miguel and team were wonderful. I would suggest placing permanent oscillating fans in the Palapa Room just to always have air moving when the windows must be closed - perhaps a few mounted on the walls? The a/c's in the bedrooms were a great escape when needed. The place is magical. Thanks, Anna-Lena!

Casa Magia was gorgeous and very comfortable. Miquel was there when we arrived to let us in and get us settled. There was an issue with the driver that was arranged, the price of the car service from the Puerto Vallarta airport was more than we were told. I checked with Anna-Lena and she confirmed that the price had increased. This was frustrating but we ended up paying the higher price. The drive into the house is very steep. We walked it the first night because the golf carts weren't delivered until the next morning. We made it but it was a great help to have the golf carts. The home was very clean and as represented. We were 5 adults and there were lots of places to hang out and enjoy the outdoors. The pool was great. Learned after the first day not to go to the beach. We all got sick with what we think was Noro Virus from the beach. Some of us were sick for 48 hours and some for up to 4 days. It was nasty. Would have appreciated being warned about the beach.

This is a beautiful place to stay! The pool and views are killer! You likely will need a golf cart. We occasionally opted to walk, but it is steep. Be ready for a little cardio if you are walking. Anna-Lena and Miguel are both extremely responsive. My party and I felt safe and secure in the home with the gate and fence. We hope to stay there again!!

Host Response

Thank you Erica. We loved having you and your friends stay at Casa Magia. Come back soon.

The good: incredible views. Cool space. Comfy beds and great towels. The house manager and cleaners were great. Nice outdoor space and pool. The bad: The villa is tired and in dire need of a refresh. Stained furniture, duct-taped main fridge-it feels like the photos are 5 years old and it’s been rented every day since they were taken. This is not a luxury property as the photos lead you to believe. The bad: we rented a golf cart (you have to get the high powered one) but the hill to get to the property is outrageously bad-expect a steep off-roading adventure every time you leave the villa. Overall: Our stay was fine but I wouldn’t book here again because of the overall condition of the property and the access. We stayed for a week while hosting a group of 20 at another villa that was also hill-top and the hill here is as bad it gets.

If you are looking for a villa that has it all this is the place for you! Miguel was there to greet us and made check in super easy. The house is magnificent and the views are some of the best in the world. The jungle in the back and the nightly sunsets made this a once in a life time experience. Twice a week housecleaning was included, adding a nice touch on a vacation. It was a quick 5 minute walk to town and the beach and we were able to surf almost every day. I will say we love to hike and so the hill was no problem for us but if you do not like steep hills I would recommend a golf cart. For us it was part of getting away from it all and we loved the work out! There are great restaurant choices nearby, plenty of places for a drink and super sunsets and as many activities nearby as you can do. We chose snorkeling, horse back riding and hiking monkey mountain, all went flawlessly and it is very easy to get around. Every day ended at this incredible villa with a dip in the 40 foot pool and a family game in the gorgeous palapa. We can not wait to come again!

Great house in a lovely location. The sunset from the terrace is worth the trip itself. The photos from Airbnb are somewhat old, and the condition of the house is characterized by wear and tear, which does not appear from the description and photos. Also some worn kitchen equipment that could have been improved with the price of the residence. The staff who met us have been amazing, and it's been easy to get help if there's anything. Incredible nice people! Recommend renting golf carts as it makes the stay much more rewarding, and time-saving mtp distance to the city center/beach. Definitely a place I recommend visiting.

This house is very special. We felt really fortunate to stay in it. It’s even better in person than in the photos, and the photos are spectacular. We especially enjoyed the very top area with 360 degree views. Anna-Lena’s suggestions all made our stay seamless - golf cart rental, airport pick up, COVID testing location. Miguel the house manager is also very kind and responsive. I will dream of coming back to this house.

A phenomenal location with views that you could look at all day. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the open space and taking the golf cart to town. The walk is not bad either. It is about a 15 min to the far end of town. We also rented a car so that we could take some day trips, but it definitely wasn’t necessary. Excellent communication from the host and property manager with good recommendations. The space is beautiful and very spacious. We loved all of the outdoor spaces, the full kitchen, and the location. A few unfortunate down sides were that the neighbors to the left had outside lights that glared into the master bedroom and that for almost every night of our 7 night stay there was very loud techno music playing from town and another neighbor that seemed to start around 2am. It could have just been the busy week that we were visiting, but it was unfortunately very disturbing for sleeping…. Especially when we were under the impression that this house was more removed from the hustle and bustle of town. This is in no way a reflection of our host or the place, it is just something to be aware of when you visit Sayulita. I imagine it is not as peaceful as it once was. When there wasn’t loud music playing, you could hear the waves breaking down below and the birds… which was nice. :-) Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would book casa magia again. In the future, we would visit after the high season. Thank you Anna!

When you first walk in, you will be blown away by the views and how the home can literally open up on every floor, to the surroundings and amazing views. every morning we opened all the accordian doors completely and left them that way all day. Morning coffee while reading news... midday catching some sun.... evening happy hour and sunsets. This feature really gives the sense of the property being immersed in its environment and we loved it. the doors do have some wear, so could be a challenge to operate, but you'll get the hang of it. We hung out on all levels of this home equally and never felt in anyone else's way. An expansive property and the kids (21 and 18) easily found their own spaces to enjoy freedom. We rented 2 high-power golf carts and they were fantastic! this is a must-do and you'll be able to go anywhere you want in town and back easily. Bumpy roads were actually fun and what a unique way to come-and-go. Miguel the property manager was very accessible and came by often as needed to assist. Hot water can take a few minutes to reach the showers, so just be patient, it'll get there. This is the first family trip post-covid and this home helped make it an experience we all will cherish. Thank you!

Casa Magia is a beautiful, spacious house with a view that will blow your mind. The water is filtered so you can actually drink from the tap, the beds are comfy, and the weather up there is dry so it's always a beautiful day. It's a bit far from town and there's a steep hill to get there, but that just means you have a great excuse to rent a golf cart. It's the most fun way to get around, anyway. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

This Airbnb was perfect for our group of 4! Wonderful ocean and jungle views, an open and airy house layout - we truly enjoyed our stay. The house is on 3 different levels with a separate level for the pool, so you do need to be mobile enough to manage stairs. The kitchen/main living space was awesome and open, which was really convenient for in-home meal preparation. As the host suggests, a golf cart is essential - at the very least. This home is built into the hills, which is great for views, but hard on legs! we had a 4 person golf cart and would consider getting something a bit more powerful on a future visit. Overall, would highly recommend and go back. This trip was a nice combo of isolated serenity and town fun - the town of Sayulita and the beaches are only about 10 minutes away.

If you’re looking for privacy and incredible views, this is it! We particularly loved the indoor/outdoor shower in the primary bedroom and the salt water pool. Plus the views from the living room are amazing. We spent half our time just enjoying Sayulita at the house! Two things to note that future guests may want to consider is the location and the setup. Location because the house is on a very steep hill and the road up to it is not paved or lit. If you decide to rent a golf cart you’ll need to be a skilled driver and careful at night going up the dirt rocky hill. Otherwise you can grab taxis, but they will not pick you up or take you home to your door as the last part of the hill (3-5min wall) is too steep for them. Anyway wasn’t a huge deal for us, but I wouldn’t recommend the house to anyone older or not as steady on their feet until they get the road paved, which I believe they’re working on! :) The second thing is the way the house is setup you have to go outside to get from room to room. And one of the bedrooms you must walk outside and upstairs to get to a bathroom. No big deal as the property is gated and feels secure, but something to be aware of. This would actually be a great rental for big groups as noise doesn’t carry from the living room to any of the bedrooms and each couple would have their own private entrance to come into at night. Overall I do recommend this property and am grateful for our time spent in Casa Magia! :)

Beautiful home with stunning views and perfect for three of us over a long weekend. (The place can sleep many more) Anna-Lena was SO responsive and helped us organize all the details that we needed. Highly recommend taking her up on the airport transfer and the golf cart rental (although going up and down that hill on wheels is not for the faint of heart!) Finally, the very best meal you will have in all of Sayulita is with Mexotik Cocina Mexicana Creativa who comes to the house to prepare a truly extraordinary meal for you! We will definitely be back.

Enjoy the unparalleled views in what may be the highest house in all of Sayulita. Huge pool, space for couples to spread out, perfect communication — just make sure to snag a golf cart. Amazing stay.

This home is absolutely stunning with the most incredible views over Sayulita. We watched the sun set every evening from the top terrace. The kitchen/living room palapa was a fantastic space for our group to hang out. There are more terraces and balconies than we could even use during our stay! The master bathroom shower with fold-away doors is wonderful. It's imperative to rent golf carts as the road to town is incredibly steep and treacherous. Also, it's much cooler up there than in town, and the home is somewhat open-air so bring warm clothing if you stay in the winter. The pool looks lovely but was far too cold to use during our stay, though I'm sure in the middle of summer it would be delightful.

This is a beautiful house way up in the hills in Sayulita. We live in Puerto Vallarta and came with a few friends to the house to spend new year’s. It’s a beautiful house, and the common space and outdoor spaces are where we spent nearly all of our time. Given that is winter here (and especially this year since it’s been so cold), we didn’t really use the pool but it’s absolutely beautiful if you are there in the summer months. Having multiple floors on the house also allowed people to have some private space which was nice as well. The house was really great to get together with people for a few days and hang out. From the listing, it’s obviously a bit from downtown, but I didn’t think the walk was too bad (and if you had a golf cart it would be very easy). The only thing I would caution is if you are driving to the house. We took two cars - one is four-wheel drive and the other wasn’t. The 4WD got up to the house ok, but the other car struggled getting up the hill and also struggled getting back down. So if you are driving there, I’d highly recommend having a good car that can navigate the very steep street to the house.

The house has stunning views on each floor. The pool gives it a touch of extra comfort. The internet is a bit slow, but she lets you know. Here you'll want to disconnect with the beautiful views you have at any time of day. Bring repellent because there are a lot of mosquitoes since it's close to the sea, but it's worth it. It's a house with a rustic and pleasant touch and with spacious areas. I definitely recommend it! Be careful with the climb before arriving. I recommend renting a golf cart so you don't have to go up and down in your truck.

Unparalleled view, perfect space. The pool was always at a good temperature to get in all day. It's difficult to get there if you don't have a car. We solved it by renting a golf cart. There was no TV. The service was perfect.

Anna-Lena's place provided a beautiful and comfortable setting for six of us to relax in paradise for the week. Our host helped us arrange a shuttle from the airport which stopped at a supermarket for us to stock up on essentials. We were pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen and ended up cooking dinner there (or on the barbecue) most nights. The property manager, Miguel, was very responsive and great to deal with. We got by fine without a golf cart but would recommend one to anyone that might be unstable with their footing or tired out by the uphill climb on cobblestones. The rooms are lovely, the beds are very comfortable, and there's a great view from every room! Easy to recommend this place.

The house is amazing and has a great view! It's located on a hill, away from the main town but still close enough to walk there. It's very quiet at night, and feels safe. It's very spacious, luminous, well decorated, and comfortable. I'd only recommend renting one of those golf carts to get to the town. The hill where the house is located is very steep, and walking up and down is not comfortable. Renting a cart is a bit expensive, but it might be necessary if you don't or can't walk back and forth. It's about 20 minutes walk to the town. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this place.

Well......... where to begin. This place is definitely in the jungle with the most beautiful views you will ever see. The kitchen is so well stocked you won’t need anything but the food. Anna-Lena was very quick at addressing any issues we had & Miguel the caretaker is on it. Like the other reviews said, you definitely need a turbo-golf cart to get up & down the hill. Anna-Lena hooked us up with a great company for that. They delivered & picked up the carts. I would definitely go with the car service she uses too. It was so easy getting to the house as they already knew the way. There were 5 adults & we all had a fantastic time there & celebrating Dia de los Muertos with the locals was an experience I’ll never forget. I highly recommend this place!! The only thing you need to remember is you’re in the jungle & with that comes mosquitoes & critters. Be sure & bring bug spray or buy it in town as we went through what was supplied very quickly. You will love this place.

This placeeeee. So nice. The views are unmatched and don’t worry too much about the cart ride, it’s undoubtedly worth it. Perched high in the jungle, it was the perfect location for us. 10/10 would come back again.

If you want to be up in the hills in the jungle with nature in a large place with a very well equipped kitchen, and private pool, this is your place. Pros: -privacy -pool -kitchen/accessories -comfy beds -responsive host -nature -palapa style -adventure taking golf car to and from town Cons -older property with some aspects that could use a refit (living room and outdoor furniture) -adventure taking golf car to and from town -lots of nature (insects and geckos) -in air conditioned living room could use a ceiling fan

The house is an excellent place with a breathtaking view of the jungle and the sea! It has everything you need to have a good vacation, the pool is very comfortable and with a lot of privacy!!! I do not recommend it for large people because it is 4 floors and there are many stairs, also some of the problems is the arrival at the house, if it is the rainy season the vehicles do not arrive easily!!! Other than that, an excellent and private place!!!

This spot is worth every penny! The view was incredible and photos did not do it justice! The place is as listed and more. There were all the amenities, coffee, a kitchen stocked with everything you hate having to buy while traveling, and little touches that made it feel warm and like home. OH! and there was a ample supply of alcohol when we arrived, which was greatly appreciated as we hadn’t yet made our way into town! Take Anna-Lena’s advice on the golf cart. Our travel companions took a taxi that couldn’t make it more than half way up and had to hoof it by foot with their luggage. We had a rental car, and while we made it up, it was SUPER sketchy. That being said, the view made it worth it! At the time of writing this there was construction right next door on both side which started fairly early. Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep in.

Six of us recently rented Anna-Lena's home in the hills of Sayulita. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen. Anna-Lena quickly responded to our feedback on needing a new BBQ - a new one arrived the same day! The home is spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the area. It feels safe. We were three couples - one of them was knew and was uncomfortable with lack of privacy in the bathroom - there are no doors! Except on the bathroom on the top floor, which is not ideal. All in all a good stay. Lovely pool with lots of toys. Miguel was always there to help. Thank you!

First let me say the pictures do not lie. The house is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. The hosts have provided everything you may need. The views are magnificent and the space is plentiful. I would suggest golf carts for ease in and out of town. We found them very useful. The best compliment we could pay is that we would return to this house. I also want to thank Anna-Lena for all the communication and making everything so easy and to Miguel who answered every question we had promptly.

Our experience in this beautiful home could not have been better. The arranged ride to the house by the owners and Miguel’s (the local housekeeper) willingness to answer questions made our check-in go seamlessly. I would highly recommend this home to any other potential guests looking for a gorgeous retreat. The golf carts are a must to get up and down from town quickly and regularly. The hill leading up the house is not one you would want to walk repeatedly.
