This place is perfect for big groups! So convenient that each bedroom has a bathroom. Host was responsive all the time before and during the stay. Kitchen had everything you need to cook, everything was very clean and overall would stay here again!

This was a wonderful and truly unique place to stay. Many accommodations are simply a place to sleep, but this felt like staying in a beautiful historic Mexican home full of character and charm. It added something special to the trip, and I would gladly stay here again.

The place was as described. Jose Angel was extremely helpful and informative. He checked on our group mid-stay. The house is in a business area and you hear trucks pass by in the early morning hours but it wasn’t an issue for group. There was also a local Torta shop just a few doors down. This is a place I would come back for the hospitality alone.

What a spectacular accommodation to experience GDL. Rob and his team were so accommodating of all our questions and made wonderful recommendations of places to visit and dine around the city. Thank you Rob for also being so responsive before and after the trip.

Rob was a great house. The house is epic, he is very responsive, and the staff was great. he recommended a private chef for two nights who was incredible.

Rob’s beautiful home was the perfect setting for our family reunion for seven or so days. We felt completely safe inside, with everything securely locked. Don Jose greeted us, provided the keys, and was very responsive to any questions we had about the showers and other details. Everything in the home worked perfectly. The space is stunning and ideal for families with small children--rooms are spacious, and I loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The pool was fantastic, though a bit chilly during Día de Muertos time. The location is convenient, with easy access to several places and a short commute to El Centro, whether by walking or taxi. Walmart is walking distance and the mercado, too. Rob is a wonderful host, and we can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Great place to stay! Lovely place and very cozy

We had a wonderful stay at Rob's place. We had a couple of us who arrived in town before check-in time, and he was gracious enough to let them leave their luggage while the place was being prepared for our arrival. Jose Angel and his wife (they were the ones to greet us and hand us the keys) were courteous and helpful. The house is amazing and just like the pictures! The whole fam had a wonderful stay, we enjoyed the pool and the closeness to so many cool GDL spots. We would love to return and stay at Rob's in the future.

Beautiful place! Rob was responsive to all my questions. Hoste schedule Jose to meet us when we arrived. Jose did a thorough walkthrough. The house was beautiful, beds were comfortable, and villa has plenty of space for large numbers of people. I definitely recommend Rob and his place!

While the surrounding area is bustling, Rob's place was a peaceful sanctuary from the busy city. My family and I had plenty of space to be together or alone as needed. The pool was a great amenity to the hot weather. There are lots of great places to eat that are within walking distance. Don't miss Taco Fish La Paz and make sure you grab an amazing coffee right around the corner at Cafe Galeano. I had an event to go to and had a $15 blow out (including a wash!) at Fabiola Lozano Hair Salon which was right up the street. We also loved the carne asada tacos at the plaza in front of the church. Ubers were inexpensive and readily available in our neighborhood if we ventured further out. Rob was a pleasure to deal with and was very responsive. Jose Angel, his property attendant was also great to work with. I would definitely stay there again and can't recommend them enough!

To say this place was beautiful would be an understatement. It’s perfect for a large group of friends or family. Each room has their own restroom, perfect for the girlys that like to spend time getting ready. There is not an area of the house that isn’t aesthetically pleasing either. The staff that welcomed us were friendly and amazing. When we checked out we got to meet the staff that cleans and they were the sweetest to us they asked about our stay and asked if there was anything that could have gone better. The place was perfect everything was perfect. If you have a larger group this place will have everyone comfortable!

Excellent service

The house was located in a great neighborhood, not too far from Walmart and other areas. Ubers were super cheap. could get around for $2 to $5 everywhere. the house itself is a very interesting place to stay in the pool area is cozy and private, the bedrooms all had washrooms which is great, the host has someone there who takes care of the house if needed for cleaning etc a additional paid service which was good. we were very happy with our stay it was a total of five of us. the host had answered all my questions before I booked and I appreciate the quality of communication before booking the place. Amazing for larger families !!

We had an amazing stay at Rob’s place. Our group of 10 were visiting GDL for a wedding and the villa was the perfect base for us. Everyone in our group was in absolute awe upon entering, and said it was one of the most incredible places they had ever stayed in. Around the corner is a market selling great food in the day, and at night there are litttle food stalls in the square. It is a short walk to the historical sites of GDL such as the cathedral. The villa has everything you could need in terms of ammenities. We are very appreciative for all the communication from Rob, and all the help from Jose.

Host was accommodating and very responsive. We travelled for our daughter wedding and the place was perfect for us as all of us. Lots of space and pool area was perfect for us to recover from our busy wedding activities.

We were in awe when we walked into the house. It was like stepping back into an ancient period of time, and yet it felt comfortably modern. We enjoyed ourselves immensely in this beautiful city during the day and always had a welcoming haven to return to on the evening. We enjoyed all the amenities Rob provided, especialy the pool. Thanks Rob, we hope we can return again some day.

The house and location were perfect. We had amazing coffee and Mercado at walking distance. The beds were comfortable and I enjoyed it very much. The water for pool was really cold, wish we would have been able to jump in. Beautiful stay. Recommend

We had a wonderful extended stay at this villa with our little dog. The villa is located in a commercial area. At the end of the block, there’s a park that’s perfect for walking your dog. There’s also a Walmart within walking distance, a spot for homemade ice cream just a few doors down, a small store for drinks and snacks, and a mercado across from the park offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and local foods like tamales, tortillas, and tacos. The villa itself was clean, spacious, and ideal for large families or groups of friends, with each room being comfortable and with its own bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed for cooking, and the backyard featured a clean and lovely pool. Rob and his team were outstanding. They were prompt in addressing any issues, consistently friendly and professional, coming weekly to clean, maintain the pool, and even bring us drinking water and ice. Overall, this is a fantastic Airbnb and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historical villa. My husband and I are big time architecture and design aficionados and this villa is a great example of what Guadalajara has to offer. Our boys loved the pool. We truly enjoyed our stay and loved all the amenities. Perfect location. Great communication. The hosts were wonderful and gave us great recommendations!!

Wow what a perfect home for our family! Check in was great as we were greeted to show us how to lock all the doors to our palace for the week:-). Home was a pleasure to stay in and we all loved the space and kitchen/dining area. The pool area was beautiful watching the birds dip into pool, but it wasn’t hot enough to jump in. Rooms were comfortable and private. Parking limited so plan ahead for loading/unloading. Thank you Rob! We had such a nice time in your home. Love the old style rustic architecture, reminded me of staying at a vintage hacienda.

A magical experience. I felt like a queen in a castle. This is real deal Guadalajara not an Americanized version. It's a working class neighborhood with lots of repair shops around. A block away from the neighborhood square where taco vendors set up for dinner and a mercado across the square. We went to the ice cream shop every evening and shopped for groceries at the mercado. The house is palacial. It has the wear and patina of an old home but that's part of the charm. I feel very fortunate to have experienced Guadalajara with this historic home as our home case.

We were greeted by Jose Angel and he gave us a great tour of the place and listed out recommendations around or near the area. It was a great first impression. The place itself is very beautiful — it looks as though you’re in your very own telenovela. It’s much bigger and even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everything you need is there and if it’s not, Jose Angel is more than happy to provide or assist. The host, Rob, is also very quick to respond and we had great communication throughout our stay. As for location, if the weather is in your favor, then this place is not a bad walk from zona centro and from a few museums. In Zona centro you will find a lot of shops, local vendors, restaurants, museums, etc. Right around the block there are some food stands that set up at around 7pm (great option if you’re looking for “homemade” style Mexican food), an ice cream shop and a cute cafe. People are very friendly. We had a great stay overall.

The house is just as shown in the pictures, just like the description. The location, great for our purposes in a quiet and accessible area. Angel and Andre super kind and helpful, they gave us great recommendations for entertaining and dinner ! We really liked it in general. It is an excellent accommodation, it is very equipped and clean, it is very quiet, the pool was clean and was enjoyed by children and adults to the maximum. Angel and Andrea were always attentive to everything and very kind. We had a very pleasant stay as a family. Definitely looking forward to coming back 100% would recommend it

Rob was very helpful and accommodating and let us check in at 9 am while we arrived there very early. Place is beautiful with lots of space for all 10 of us . Very close to Centro and beautiful Market at corner. Beds was comfortable. Unable to use pool . Only thing is we went in May and 95 degree outside and upstairs room felt very hot . Overall Rob and Angel are amazing and very helpful with anything you need . Historic place and loved it .

Robs place was as described, Angel was there to let us in and give us the run down. Angel graciously allowed us to check in early and have a late check out which we totally appreciate. There’s plenty of restaurants within walking distance and it feels very safe. The pool is a big plus we used it almost every day after long days of walking. I really recommend this place and I’ll be staying here again for sure, thanks Rob and Angel, we appreciate your hospitality!!

This is one of the most special places I have ever stayed! The house is spectacular inside. We have two families with eight people and had plenty of room to spread out. The area is a quaint working class neighborhood with local trade shops, market food and ice cream shop on the corner for the kids. I would definitely come back again!!

We stayed at this property in 2016 and loved it, this time it was better than I remembered. The house was beautiful super clean and very comfortable with lots of room for our group. There area is very accessible and has many places to eat close by. I would definitely recommend and hopefully will stay again in the future

This house is amazing! If you ever find yourself in Guadalajara, this sanctuary in the middle of the city will let you relax by the very private pool area while being a 10-minute walk to downtown restaurants and historical sites. The 5 bedrooms and bathrooms are very well appointed, and the house overall is very stunning. The hosts were very communicative, and there was a local house person who oversaw any of our needs. When we arrived, he even took us on a walking tour of the area pointing out local markets, parking options, and restaurants. Never had this experience before - more hosts should do it!

Thank you Rob for hosting us once again, for nine years we have stayed at your villa and will gladly return in our next trip to Guadalajara. They give it very good maintenance and this is an excellent condition of clean and comfortable.

This is our 4th time staying here, words cannot express how beautiful this house is. Staying here is not only a unique experience in of itself, it escalates the beauty of Guadalajara! If you choose this house you will be immersed in historical architecture, beautiful paintings and the culture that Guadalajara is known for! The owner (Rob) and caretakers of the home (Angel and Andrea) are extremely kind, thoughtful and responsive to every need. There wasn’t much that we needed but we wanted for nothing in this home, which is what this feels like, a second home. This house is located near downtown, public parking is available just a couple blocks away, a Walmart is within walking distance. At night you have several dining options all within walking distance. I strongly suggest the tortas in the park, in front of the church. I cannot suggest this house enough for your family & friends. Everything is always clean, well maintained, loved and cared for. We hope to make many happy returns.

Beautiful home! About 10 minutes to everything we wanted to see. There's a very convenient local market super close to the home, a great place for some groceries or a quick local breakfast. there's some quirks with a historical home like this one, but if you can get past them, I would highly recommend.

Our group of 9 loved our stay at Rob's Villa in Centro Guadalajara and we will plan to return. The villa was absolutely beautiful and is great for a big group because everyone has their own big room and private bathroom, as well as spacious common areas. We spent our mornings lounging by the pool before heading out into the city to explore numerous cultural attractions. The area is quiet, the villa felt secure, and we took short Ubers to get around during our stay. The managing host was extremely responsive and was very helpful if we had any questions or needed something fixed. I would highly recommend staying here, it's a wonderful space and matches the incredible city of Guadalajara!

Amazing villa. It was very spacious and lots of food and ice cream around. The cathedral of Guadalajara and San Juan de Dios is only about 20 minute walk.

We had a great stay, comfy beds, lovely pool, centrally located to/from all the activities we had scheduled. Wish we had more time to enjoy it! Over all recommended for a large group, you’ll feel like you’re at your own hotel.

We spent six days in Guadalajara in this beautiful home. The house has a lot of character and history as it is over 100 years old. It is excellent for a large group we traveled with a group of 12 and this house was perfect. Each of the five bedrooms has a private bathroom. We enjoyed each other's company in the common areas and the pool. There is a Mercado a block away and we had breakfast there every day. There is also a cute coffee spot around the corner and the ice cream shop at the end of the block is also excellent. We did not have any issues during our stay but when we had to reach out to the caretaker he responded within a few minutes. If we ever find ourselves in Guadalajara with a large group we will definitely return to Rob's house.

Absolutely gorgeous house with plenty of room for my entire family. Pool was awesome and a great place to relax and cool off after a day of activities. There were a a Walmart a short distance from the house and 24 hour parking just a few blocks away (5 minute walk). The architecture and old world vibe of the house makes it extra special. Everything was clean and the beds are very comfortable. I would stay here again.

This place was so perfect for our week in GDL. There isn’t parking so be mindful of that but it’s close to so many things. There was 12 of us and each room had its own bathroom which was great. Everyone loved this place and said they’d stay again if they every return to GDL.

We had a large group of people for our trip to Guadalajara, this place met the expectations of space. There was bathrooms in each of the bedrooms which was very convenient to everyone. The pool was located towards the back but we did not use it due to the weather being cold. Although most of the reviews stated that the water was warm in the pool we never got to experience that as well as the warm water in the bathrooms since the water was freezing cold. The only bathroom that seemed to have hot water was the one located in the first floor next to the pool. Overall the stay was nice and quiet, we should’ve reached out to Angel to figure out the hot water situation but we figured the cold water could wake us up for hangovers. Just a tip, if you sleep in the bedroom upstairs facing the street make sure to close the windows as it is next to businesses who operate at early times of the day and make a lot of noise.

This villa is amazing! Very nice decor and the rooms were really spacious Plenty of room for our group to hang out, relax, and get ready. Water was always hot for the showers and the toilets worked as expected. Outdoor area was nice too with the pool Would definitely stay here again for a lavish vacation. Thank you Rob!

The villa was perfect for our party of 9. Every bedroom had their own bathroom, which was very convenient for a large party like ours. Rob made sure we all had enough towels, blankets, and other essential amenities to last us during our stay. We enjoyed sweet treats and coffee from local shops within steps of the villa. The area was buzzing with people throughout the day, but very calm and quiet at night. One member of our party rented a car and was able to park it on the street without any issues. It was nice having the city center so close, as well. We all felt right at home and would book again!

Amazing house! The pictures do no justice. We really loved how there’s a market across the street and we could get breakfast everyday. The house is very big for large groups and the pool was amazing.

Such a special place! Very spacious, beautiful architectural design as well as fun art and colors. Jose Angel was welcoming and checked on us several times - as well as helping with a forgotten item after I we checked out! The center courtyard stays really cool and is a great place for an afternoon siesta or a little dance party while waiting for your friends to get ready to head out. The pool was refreshing and solar heated. Beds cozy. If you’re sound sensitive, then bring ear plugs and everything will be perfect. (We are city folks so occasional street noise at the front of the house or hearing early risers in my party chat at breakfast in the spacious courtyard was no problem.)

Beautiful historical home with 5 spacious rooms, a very large living room, kitchen and dining area. The rules to the house are minimal, clear and concise, the property manager will politely go over them once you arrive. The property manager is available when you need him which was great. Outside amenities include a beautiful with a spacious seating area and an outside shower, you may also request roof access if you’d like. The location of the home is in the heart of Guadalajara, everything is walking distance, I highly recommend this to families or just a large group of friends, will definitely re visit.

We had an amazing time at Rob's magnificent home. We were in awe with the beauty of this home. The neighborhood offered everything we needed at walking distance. My elderly parents were able to walk to the mercado get themselves breakfast and conversate with the locals. Jose Angel and Señora Andrea were extremely welcoming and sweet. Let me repeat this home is stunning. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip to Guadalajara

There was so much space available (house was bigger than expected) and fit our entire group comfortably. It was conveniently located and we liked that we could get food + groceries within a walking distance. The hosts were extremely helpful and were always there to help. Would definitely stay again!

Beautifully restored colonial - an oasis in the city! Fit our family perfectly during our Guadalajara wedding week! The pool was an especially lovely feature for the 90 degree weather!

House is massive. Internet was great. Rob was very easy to get ahold of during the planning process. We didn’t encounter any issues. House is a short cab ride away from many restaurants and plazas.

This home is a true gem, right in the heart of GDL. The house is a beautiful antique with all the amenities of a modern luxury home. Angel the house manager is very kind and incredibly accommodating. For an additional charge him and his wife Andrea were more than happy to put on their chef coats and serve us a delicious breakfast every morning. Right around the corner from the home are some wonderful ice cream options and delicious food carts every night. We rented a couple cars and found a very secure and cheap parking garage just a few blocks away across the street from Walmart. All of this within walking distance. This was our second time renting this house and look forward to renting this house again.

Rob’s place was great for a big family. The pool and open kitchen were a nice touch. A bit far from restaurants and the center-required a cab but nice for sleeping-away from the noise. Well stocked with plenty of towels and soaps/shampoos and waters.

Absolutely stunning space! Very relaxing. Walmart close by made it easy to get anything we needed. WiFi will get slow with multiple users but sufficient for 1-2 on video calls. LTE data with t-mobile worked fine.

Although I rarely write reviews, I would be remiss not to share how wonderful our experience was communicating with the owner Rob and our interactions with his two house managers, Andrea and Jose Angel. We had a family of 8 people staying at the property and the layout was absolutely perfect — we had several communal areas to congregate and spend time together while additionally having great personal space (nice sized bedroom/bathroom) for each couple. We coordinated breakfast to be served on the property each morning before our daily tours and it significantly helped make the Airbnb location more accommodating for a large group. Andrea and Jose Angel served an awesome breakfast to our family each morning and happily catered to our menu preferences throughout the week. It was great to see Andrea and Jose Angel each day as they made us feel extremely well cared for during our stay. The property was certainly unique and beautiful, but the kind and attentive house managers coupled with the ease and quick responses by the owner truly made our Airbnb experience exceptional.

Very special and safe place to stay at. Location is very close to the best places in Guadalajara. You can park your vehicle in a secure place a couple of blocks away.
