⭐☆☆☆☆ – A Nightmare Stay That Could Have Ended in Tragedy This was the worst and most terrifying Airbnb experience my family has ever had. My daughter fell from the second floor while trying to climb into the bunk bed. The mattress is so high that she couldn't get a proper grip on the ladder and lost her balance. The ladder is only inches away from an unprotected window. Not only that window, but every window in the house has no real safety protection—only a mosquito screen, which offers absolutely no protection against a fall. She fell from the second floor all the way to the ground, more than two meters (over six feet). It is only by the grace of God that my daughter survived. I cannot understand how this property is allowed to be rented without basic safety measures. The upstairs railings are also dangerously unprotected, creating another serious fall hazard, especially for children. When I contacted the hosts after the accident, I did not feel supported at all. Despite knowing

A very nice place to stay, cozy and comfortable, even for a family, with a common area and a place to retreat. The location is very nice, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Thanks to the directions, we were able to find the accommodation even in the dark. There are many animal sounds at night, and birds can be seen during the day. The reservation was possible within a few minutes. Fortunately, we were able to check in immediately and felt comfortable. The kitchen is well suited for small meals. The pool was a bit cloudy and dark in rainy weather. We would recommend this place to our friends.

My experience was extremely unpleasant and I do not recommend this accommodation due to serious health, hygiene and service problems. The place lacks drinking water; the available water had a nauseating smell and caused skin irritations in my family. The pool, far from what the photos showed, was dark, poorly lit, and stained skin and dark-colored clothing. Hygiene was unacceptable: kitchen utensils were exposed to animals and insects, and dead bats were found in the rooms.Customer service was hostile and disrespectful from the moment we arrived, even refusing to store our belongings. In addition, the presence of loose dogs that destroyed food and garbage, coupled with the lack of ventilation and the remote location, made the stay unbearable. Finally, on the day of departure we suffered a power and water outage for five hours. The published images are misleading and do not reflect the precarious reality of the site.

Great place! We had no water from 8 pm to 7:30 am. There was a problem with the pump. Jayr fixed it for us first thing in the morning. The house is surrounded by nature, lots of trees, and it's very quiet. Lots of birds come. The pool had a little dirt. A perfect place to disconnect. The internet is very good. I recommend going, hopefully in a 4x4, but you can get there with a low-riding cart, very slowly. I recommend it and I will definitely come back

The accommodation is exactly as shown in the photos; the place was wonderful, in the middle of the jungle, very quiet, and at night you can hear all kinds of animals. The location is a bit far from the beach and Puerto Viejo itself, but it's worth it. We had a problem with the gas stove, which Jayr and his team managed to fix almost immediately. The only negative thing we experienced was with the pool; the paint stuck to our skin and was very difficult to remove, so we hardly used it.
