Beautiful house, clean and secure with all the necessary amenities. The pool is a plus with children. The location is 15-20 minutes from great beaches. We had a slight problem on arrival which was resolved very quickly by Raul who is a co-host and who responds very quickly! You have to go through Raul at all times with WhatsApp to have a quick follow-up, thank you Raul. We recommend!

It is a very well-kept and very well-located place. However, it is not possible to enter the property by car, so the vehicle had to stay outside the house all week. On the other hand, the pool area does not have lighting, so it is not safe at night for children and pets (my dog fell into the pool and we had a serious emergency). I found that the co-host was not very interested in resolving the requests made about the delivery of cleaning supplies or the issue of the vehicle entering the property. He indicated that we were the second guests to report the issue and that the next day it would be resolved, but it was not resolved throughout the week.

Our second stay at Casa Colores was just as good as our first! Beautiful, private and well appointed 2 br house with single bedroom casita was perfect for our needs. AC and fans in both spaces worked well. Full kitchen in main house and large outdoor dining space was used regularly throughout our stay - as was the pool! Ideal choice if looking for a peaceful location a short drive to grocery stores, beaches and restaurants. Good communication with hosts who are responsive and helpful. We will be back if available on our next trip to Guanacaste

This is place is great. The pool area is beautiful but unfortunately the pool lights did not work so there was no ambiance in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked great and there are lots of ceiling fans. The fridge has a water and ice dispenser and there are plastic glasses for the pool area - these are great amenities. It’s close to many fantastic beaches, restaurants and grocery stores. One big issue is the approach to the driveway. Our vehicle did not have enough clearance to get in the driveway so we upgraded our car and it just got in. We did have a few other issues that were taken care of by the co-host. We will definitely stay here again!

⭐ Rating: 3.9/5 We had already come two years ago and loved it, but this time the experience was less satisfying. When we arrived, we had to wait about 45 minutes because of a key problem. Upon entering, several items were missing: two shower heads, the advertised condiments, as well as dish towels and cloths. Only one garbage bag was also provided. Note: the apples, condiments and cloths were brought to us the next day, which we appreciated. Nevertheless, the beds were very comfortable, the internet worked well and the air conditioning was effective. The accommodation has potential, but requires some adjustments to regain the quality of our first visit.

Very quiet place, everything is as shown in the photos, I only see 2 negative points, the showers are somewhat damaged and the bed in the small house is somewhat different from the photo and the ants, for everything else and place highly recommended

The facilities were good and beautiful, only a few details that we did not like. First, the host's response time was not very good, a lot of cobwebs in the house and humidity in one of the rooms and that it is necessary to place insecticide for the ants that entered the house like a plague. Finally, they changed the door code before 7:00 am and not just the gate code as they told us.

In photos it looks nice and in person the house is much more 😊 well-kept, very good arrangement of linens, separate external and internal ones, throughout the house there is air conditioning, 😛 everything is clean and with everything you need to be comfortable and quiet, automated entrance, this makes it easy not to have to contact someone for check-in and check-out. As things to improve, it would be to address an issue of ants. The sofa was full of them, under the furniture and around the pool. They bit us many times even though we wore sandals. The pool looks quite cloudy and although I was told that it was turned on for 3 hours a day, I don't think it's enough. In addition, the internal lights of the pool have to be coordinated in time for them to turn them on (the house is quite automated to not use a timer for that) In short, the place meets all expectations and more, its location lends itself to walking to many beaches!

My family and I are very grateful for the accommodation, very nice facilities, well maintained, excellent layout. The pool is clean, however, there are accessibility problems for people with disabilities. The Ice Maker didn't work, but our stay was lovely, thank you so much.

It was my second time at Elizabeth & Jason's house. Our stay was wonderful, the house is very tidy and clean and is very well equipped with everything you need. There is no one else on the property, the accommodation is for the entire property, which makes it very private and that is something we value very much. I will definitely be coming back again.

The place was beautiful, but the roads to get to it were really horrible. I also had an emergency, were my grandma passed away and I had to leave the property one day earlier. I asked if I could please get a refund for that night and they completely said NO. That was very disappointing, especially with what I was dealing with. Other than that the place was quiet and beautiful.

Though the roads are unpaved for a few meters from the main road, they are generally no problem for all other guests, besides being only slightly bumpy. We've never had a problem. One will encounter much worse roads in Costa Rica. We're very sorry for your loss and can only imagine that was a painful shock for you. We are simply not able to accommodate short notice requests for refunds once the time has been reserved exclusively for you, as we keep our rates so low only to cover costs. The stay at Casa Colores was amazing, the house is located in a fairly private development without much noise from the main street, the pool is the ideal size and the water was always perfect, we loved that the entire perimeter was completely closed so our little dog could walk freely without a leash around the property! 🐶 All the appliances are quite modern, which makes cooking easier. In short, a stay that we recommend and would definitely choose again!

The house was lovely a lot of things had been updated that weren’t in the pictures which was a pleasant surprise, Elizabeth was responsive and provided solutions to a couple of hick ups. The kitchen was stocked with toddler/ kid friendly plates and utensils which was really helpful.

The location of the home is the perfect spot to experience the realness of Costa Rica culture. Gave us the perfect balance between day to day life while still being close to more touristy spots such as Tamarindo. This home was beautiful and would recommend. Ants are a thing here, so that was a bit of an adjustment.

I recently stayed at La Garita Nueva in Costa Rica and had a good/okay experience. The location is nice, with a peaceful, rural setting that's perfect for a quiet getaway. The amenities were decent could have some improvements but besides that, the property is well-maintained and the grounds to the place could be a bit better. The accommodation itself was good. While it was clean, The Wi-Fi connection was spotty at times. I wish it was a bit closer to the city Tamarindo. Overall, I had a good experience staying at this location would recommend. La Garita Nueva offers a serene escape with some room for improvement in terms of amenities. It might be a good option if you're looking for a tranquil retreat without too many frills.

It is a beautiful house, quiet and with everything you need to spend a few very comfortable days. It's pretty private which makes it better. The only thing they can improve is when it comes to the pool, when I arrived it didn't look completely clean, the water was a little cloudy and for the day of departure it was worse. On Friday they came to clean it when we were away and it was noticed that only the leaves that had fallen but never put the corresponding chemicals in it. Another point is that they only take it from 8:30 to 3pm approximately. And in our case we used it after 3:00 pm then we were almost unable to enjoy the water source. Outside of this, everything else was great.

Very comfortable stay. Casa Color has everything we need. Comfortable beds, equipped kitchen. Private pool. The cart is under the roof. The location is ideal, away from the noise, if we want to disconnect. Close to beaches like Bahía Piratas, Flamingo, Puerto Viejo, Conchal... We had a great time.

Elizabeth was very responsive, we were allowed to check in early, and the beds were comfortable. However, the place is BYO everything, so we ended up going to the store a lot, sometimes more than once a day, as we realized we needed something. The only things in the kitchen were salt and pepper. We had to buy oil, paper towels, tissues, beach towels, laundry detergent, batteries (we ended up leaving many of these things for the next guest). There are no lounge chairs by the pool. After we left we were charged for replacing the bath towels because they were bleached, which I’m fairly certain we did not do. Overall, the frustrations and unexpected expenses made this place not worth it.

Hi Lauren, Thank you for the feedback. There are indeed now loungechairs by the pool. Regarding the supplies, our rates here are so low that we are not able to provide extras like the ones you note. It's a trade off. Perhaps there are some luxury spaces that offer these amenities. While those items may be more common in the rentals in the states, we have never been provided these items in Costa Rican spaces in our 20+ stays in the country, as unfortunately they do tend to disappear, thus causing even more impact. The stained bath towels were placed in the washer as well as the sheet that was stained during your stay, so perhaps some bleach transferred? Our housekeeper does not use bleach. Wishing you the best.

One of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at - The home was so well equipped and we found ourselves admiring all of the little touches to make it comfortable but also elevated. The pool was pristine and the AC was strong and worked well. I would certainly return and suggest this to anyone considering staying in or near Tamarindo.

The house is located in a very quiet sector, it is a bit secluded, but not unsafe, 15-20 minutes from Tamarindo, Brasilito or Conchal. As for the amenities, super equipped place, good air conditioning, swimming pool that we really enjoyed. Elizabeth as a host responds very quickly, and is available to address any inconveniences that may arise.

We stayed 5 nights in the villa. We were a family of 3 and a couple of friends. The house was perfect for us. The family in the largest house (2 bedrooms with bathrooms) and the couple in the little house next door. The villa is well located for visiting the surrounding beaches. Several grocery stores nearby (by car). The house is easy to find and you will have plenty of privacy. The place was super clean and you will have the basic accessories if you want to cook. The internet was impeccable 100mb and more. Small find, I would recommend!

Fabulous space! Very accommodating and friendly hosts and an incredible pool added to the enjoyment of our stay! A/C and fans in all rooms kept the place cool and the large fridge, stove, washer/dryer, microwave were welcome amenities. Easily found btw Huacas and Tamarindo gives access to any number of beach options, grocery stores and restaurants. As regular visitors to Costa Rica, we hope to stay here on our next trip!

Casa Colores is a very pleasant place, it has a good point to move to other beaches such as Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Conchal, Flamingo, Danta. The rooms are comfortable, with good light. The stay was very good and I recommend it.

Excellent location, many beaches are nearby, the house is exactly as shown in the pictures! Everything was fine, I would only recommend fumigating the zacate as the ants that are stinging hard and if there is a lot of insect.

We have been visiting Costa Rica for 10 years now and this home was one of the best places we have stayed in. The property was well maintained, the garden and pool was stunning. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We had no trouble checking in and out. Elizabeth and Jason were very friendly and helpful . Will definitely recommend this home to family and friends.. Very beautiful house with a perfect location. I loved the fact that it's outside of the places busy with tourists. Close to everything (grocery stores, beaches, restaurants...). The accommodation was missing some amenities such as dish soap, salt, a toaster, but we are all good it was good. Small ant infestation that we notified the owners who told us that they took care of. The pool is relaxing but only works in the morning, so in the evenings after a day instead of filtration is not done which I think is missing. In order to have a perfect rating, it would have taken a BBQ, among other things, since it is a place to live outside and some sun loungers to stretch out by the pool. It was a lovely stay and the location was really perfect for me.

Amazing air bnb to end our trip in Costa Rica this place had everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Hosts are super responsive and the place feels like home. We really enjoyed lounging in the pool everyday and the bed is super comfortable. Lots of nice beaches in the area also food trucks with really good street food. We would love to stay here again comfortable safe and relaxing accommodations. Thank You

The house is spectacular! Everything was perfectly tidy and clean, it has everything one needs, the place is exactly as shown in the pictures. It's extremely private, the area is a little lonely, but I felt very safe in it. The beaches are 20 minutes away and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I really enjoyed this place, I would definitely come back and recommend it.

What a delightful home and casita. I felt safe and secure on property and the beautiful pool was perfect for relaxing (no deep end so the whole pool is casual and comfortable). The interiors were just as described and I was greeted with an exceptionally delightful welcome from Sara. You’ll need to drive/taxi for dinners or the beach. There are a number of charming delicious restaurants near by. Comfortable beds, great air conditioning and water pressure. Looking forward to a return visit!
