A unique experience on the hacienda! If you want to get to know an authentic Mexico, be surrounded by nature and get to know an alternative tourist circuit, don't miss out on going there. Having your own cenote is a total luxury!

A super experience, we went as a family, 10 people, adults, children. The hacienda is very nice, the outdoor spaces are very nice, the cenote is a unique experience that in itself is well worth it. The house is very clean, very nice, tidy. Bathrooms are prepared as if it were a hotel. Espita is very nice village and the area has a lot to offer.

Staying at Hacienda Kancaba was a dream. We planned an intimate wedding ceremony during our stay for 10 close friends and family, sight-unseen. The property is otherworldly, impossible to describe aside from saying there is certainly no other place like this on earth. Our guests flew in from many places and were annoyed by the drive from Cancun to Espita until we arrived at the property. After that, zero complaints. This is way off the beaten path, a portal to another era, frozen in time in idyllic surroundings. I kept thinking to myself: I cannot believe we get to occupy this gorgeous home; anything relatively similar in the US would be viewed from behind velvet ropes for an entrance fee. It is like if you could rent Monticello… And for whatever it’s worth after all the rest of that sincere gushing, pictures do this place zero justice. It’s ten times as pristine and beautiful in real life. A gem. I expect that I will never see anything else like it in my life.

It is a beautiful house, with the luxury of swimming in a private cenote. You are in the middle of nature, which creates adventures that we enjoy very much. We loved the experience.

My group of 9 people stayed at this amazing haciendo with a private cenote and it exceeded everyone's expectations! The accommodations were luxurious and the plantation grounds were amazing! We all had time to relax in hammocks and swim in our own cenote after many day trips that were all a short drive from this location! The owners and Raul made suggestions for sites we should experience and it made our trip! If you are looking for a centrally located place to stay to experience Mexico we recommend you stay in luxury! Everything is breathtaking inside the haciendo and out! You will love this hacienda!!!!

This place is truly magical. When we go to the Yucatan Peninsula, we try to combine a few days on the beach with a few days exploring the local culture and lesser-known archaeological sights. It makes for a richer experience and, frankly, I don't know why so many Americans pass up that wonderful opportunity. This was the perfect complement to our time at the beach. Surrounded by vast undeveloped jungle, yet close to the charming town of Espita, you feel removed from civilization, yet close enough to strike out on various day trips to Ek-Balam, Rio Lagartos, Valladolid, Chichen-Itza, etc. We felt very safe driving from the Cancun airport as well as walking around the small towns, where there were zero other tourists, but lots of friendly locals. The house itself takes you back to another era and is just a 3-minute walk to a lovely centote. After spending the day climbing ruins, we always looked forward to going back to our own plantation, relaxing on the veranda, playing ball in the plaza and taking a refreshing dip in the cenote. The owner, an archaeologist, was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the history of the region. The breakfasts included great local pastries, and the two cooks gave everyone hugs as we entered to check in. One thing to note is that there is only air conditioning in the basement room, and not the upstairs rooms. That could be an issue when the weather gets particularly sultry, but we had 86-degree highs in mid-March and it wasn't an issue due to the high ceilings, ventilation and ceiling fans. Everyone was surprisingly comfortable inside. In all, this is a great place for travelers who are looking for adventure and solitude, coupled with a bit of luxury. Hurry, before this place gets "discovered"!

This is a repeat visit to Hacienda Kancaba, as we went exactly one year ago. This is a dream vacation for us---in the middle of the Yucatan, staying in a grand Hacienda that happens to have the most secluded, clean and gorgeous cenote on the property. The owner arranged cooks to come in and prepare regional cuisine for us, and he even found a masseuse to come in one morning. The perfect getaway for our girl trip--we felt taken care of in every way.

Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a few days as part of a longer stay in Mexico. I am so glad we did. The building and surrounding area is amazing, even better than the pictures. It’s very comfortable with many areas to chill out in together, such as the two verandas and of course the incredible cenote which is so unique. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, Espita, Tizimín Chichen Itza and Valladolid - we felt like we were seeing a truly authentic part of Mexico in some of these towns which was great. Kam and Raul were so helpful with any questions we had regarding the house and local information. I’d definitely recommend staying here, it helped make the trip one to remember.

One of the most beautiful places you'll visit in the Yucatan. We first came to Hacienda Kancaba over the holidays last year and were so taken by how special this place is that we had to come back. The hacienda has been meticulously restored after having been abandoned for 80 years, and both the main house and the exterior gardens, farm, and jungle paths are nothing short of magical. The property has a gorgeous private cenote surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel like you're swimming in a fairytale grotto. Besides stunning, Raul and Kam are gracious hosts, with an enviable amount of knowledge of Mayan culture, permaculture farming, and are well connected to the community and the surrounding areas — you're bound to get recommendations you wouldn't get anywhere else. For those who need to remain connected, the wifi works perfectly within the hacienda. If you're looking for an authentic Yucatan experience, look no further.

This hacienda and the surrounding property are beautiful. This is the perfect place to jump off the grid, slow down and take in nature and all its beauty. It was clean, we felt completely safe, the cenote is beyond words gorgeous. I was truly sad to leave.

Enchanting place Kam and his architect did an amazing restoration work at this property and it is a delight to live a few days in such an Estate! Loved swimming in the cenote and running on the paths early morning, reading on the patio, watching our kids running and exploring around Our most special stop in Yucatán worth the detour from touristic roads!!!

I really don't know if words can describe how incredibly wonderful and special this home is. It is so beautiful and unique. The home is spacious and comfortable. The grounds are lush and full of fruit trees and flowers. The house is amazingly comfortable. And the cenote is beyond words. I cannot believe this place exists in the real world. My family of 7 stayed there for New Years this year and we were literally in heaven. The perfect place to get away and forget about the rest of the world

The hacienda is very nice, quiet and clean. It has been tastefully renovated! Its location is central and allows you to visit many sites (Valladolid, Chitchen Itza, Rio Lagartos, Las Coloradas...). We thoroughly enjoyed our hammock breaks on the terrace (which can be seen in the main photo) with its jungle view not to mention the private cenote which was a real moment of relaxation and freshness! If we get a chance to come back to Mexico we will stay at the hacienda again! We really recommend this unique place combining authenticity and quality services!!! This stay is to be done with or without children (we stayed with 2 children aged 5 and 18 months) . Enjoy
