This was such a unique place to stay. It was beautiful and a great experience. We saw two different troops of monkeys moving through the forest and many birds. We even saw a weasel in the trees at night. The host was amazing, and the hike to the tree house was very informative. I would highly recommend this location if you're looking to try something a little different and more adventurous.

Seriously the best place and adventure in Costa Rica! Worth the splurge! Love everything about it and our guide Theresa was the best!

Once in a lifetime - give it a try!

It was a once in a lifetime experience and surely a very special one. Peter has done an amazing job in creating the treehouse the way he did, with no harm for the tree itself.

It’s our first time in Costa Rica. As so we wanted the full Costa Rica experience, we booked a stay at the Nature Observatorio and we didn’t regret it! We booked in advance as its high season in CR right now. Peter is very fast in his response and any quiestion is answered quickly. As we arrived Theresa was already waiting for us and took us through the jungle to the treehouse. She knows a lot about the envorinment and showed us around. She is so friendly and willing to answer all the questions. We were lucky to see the spider monkeys twice. We were a little nervous about ‘climbing up’ the treehouse but it is very safe. The treehouse is clean and comes with everything you need. We loved it! We would recommend it if you are a little adventurous! Peter, Theresa and Luis thank you very much for this once in a lifetime experience!! I don’t think a lot of people can say they slept in the jungle 25 m high! Thanks for making it happen!!

The most spectacular sleepover I have ever experienced. The magic of the forest is overwhelmingly beautiful. Brian and Luis were wonderful. The treehouse is extraordinary.

As the other reviews say, this was not only an amazing place but a life experience that will change the way you see the world. While I thought the price was steep before I booked it, I can now say the worth is indescribable. Safe, clean, hospitable, and educational. Peter is an amazing and inspiring man! If you are even considering this, BOOK IT NOW! You will not regret it

Peters Treehouse The highlight of our trip started as soon as we got into the jungle with Peter and Teresa. In every notch ant corner Peter pointed out all the small inhabitants of the jungle starting with centipedes, over varieties of different frogs and the impressive flora - from the tiniest mushrooms to the giant trees. With all the entertainment during the walk the 40 minutes to the treehouse rushed by in no time. Looking up the massive stem, all the way to the treehouse in about 25 meters height was breathtaking and with it came the realization, we are now going up this tree. Theresa went first and made it look way too easy :D After that, the first of the two German couch potatoes got strapped to the harnest and got a thorough explanation of the technique, how to push the node and that it is “just” like doing 60 squats to get up all the way. Long story short - we both made it up the tree in one piece, exhausted but overwhelming happy to be in this amazing stay for the rest of the day and the whole night. In the evening Theresa brought us an delicious Tico dinner with chicken rice and beans. The next day we got up very early with the sound of the howler monkeys saw all the beautiful wildlife which was coming to visit us in our (or better their ;-)) tree. We saw lots of green macaws flying by, some parakeets, woodpeckers, toucans, monkeys and squirrels. It was just amazing, being a part of it all. Thank you, Peter and Teresa for this truely „amazing“ adventure and stay as you are - as it is for sure not only the treehouse what made this trip unforgettable for us ;-)

This package begins with a stroll through the laundry to the treehouse. It's an incredible experience where you can walk on the right hand side of the museum. The meter will show you to anyone who is living in the woods, which you can see along the way. Meter is very knowledgeable and intriguing. Peter will try to answer all your questions. He'll show you that people don't have to worry about that and how important it is to learn from nature. We spent the night in the tree. We also paid for the possibility of a warm evening when the sun sets. The owner is trying to accommodate people or people with allergies. It was great to listen to the sounds of the forest at night and watch the sounds of the woods at night. There's something I can't forget about in life. It's absolutely safe. It was a whole thing. I haven't met such a helpful, kind,clever, and modest person in a long time. Definitely recommend all ten! 🙂

This was absolutely a one-of-a-kind experience! We loved climbing up into the treehouse and enjoying Costa Rica in an incredibly new way! We had eye-level views of spider monkeys, toucans, parrots, and oropendolas. We spent the evening and the morning viewing the wildlife through our spotting scope and excitedly talking about each beautiful creature. Tereza brought us dinner and breakfast, both were incredible. We have both traveled all over the world, and this experience is at the top of the books for both of us. We highly recommend booking this treehouse!

This place is incredible! Having a view of the ocean was a nice surprise as we thought it was only jungle view. The sounds of nature surrounding you are amazing to hear. You definitely can’t be afraid of creepy crawlers though😂 my wife and I loved our stay and it was one of the most relaxing stops on our trip

We agree with the other reviews. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Waking with the sunrise to the sounds of howler monkeys and the sights of toucans and green parrots hopping asking the branches at eye-level is something that you will never forget. Jan was a wonderful guide with an obvious passion for the rain forest. Louis was a great help as well. I was worried about getting up to the tree house, but they got me (and my wife, who did much better) in with issue. Just book this. You will not be disappointed.
