5BR Villa in Guanajuato

Carlos

Excellent, 1 month ago

It was excellent. They supported me in everything I needed, and although they took a little while to respond, the service was very friendly. It's totally worth it.

For more than 400 eur per night (más de 8500mxn), you can find better. After a difficult arrival because the only access slope to the complex was blocked by a vehicle, the accommodation accumulated a number of small defects that give a very poor value for money: - no hot water during the first night and dryer, it was necessary to change the gas - no oven and some of the stove burners not working - no oven dishes for example example - one of the bedrooms never got hot water during the entire stay. The managers did what they could to help but being at a distance and for this price, we expected a house without surprises and not a house where we had to manage these things with the logistics that it implies (wait, explain etc.) when we are only there for a week. there should be a manager on site in guanajuato who can come in person to manage the problems. there is better value for money.

Very upset that we were accused of not leaving the property at check-in time We received a message from a Hugo saying that the cleaning had been delayed because he had left late, which did not happen. His message was very unpleasant. I will never stay in any of his properties

Host Response

When you made the reservation, we sent you the house rules and asked you to read and accept them. It said that check-out was at 11:00, however it was 13:00 and they were still using the facilities. Another rule was to take out the trash and wash the dishes, and you left a mess on the terrace and in the kitchen. If you didn't follow the rules, it's not our problem but yours and your bad attitude. When you asked us for an early check-in, we were super attentive and considerate and allowed you to check in at 10 am. However, you didn't take that into account or appreciate it, but trying to use two days by paying for one night doesn't speak well of you or your group.

The house was absolutely amazing! Great views, we all had our own bathroom which is always great when traveling with a big group. Only trouble we really ran into was accessing the home, I think the lock was malfunctioning but the host got us in. The pool was a great the kids really enjoyed it, it is in the deeper side so make sure to take flooties. The neighborhood was quiet and it being gated makes you feel really safe. You could practically walk downtown but it is a lot of up hill and down hill so we used uber/taxi to get around which ended up paying 60-80 pesos each time. Also a lot of van transports pass by so easily you can hop on those as well. If I ever get the chance to visit GTO I would book here again.

A bit complicated to park the vehicles, a lot of uphill walking, everything else in perfect condition.

Host Response

Valeria, that it is pitiful that they have been made difficult to park, there if it already depends on the dexterity of each person to be able to accommodate the vehicles in the 2 available places, regarding the climb is very normal in this destination due to its natural topography, Guanajuato so it is and is part of its beauty as a unique place, for the departure nothing more is requested than in any other Airbnb space, take out the garbage in the container and leave the used towels hanging not we think it is very complicated and still did not do it in addition that they left the property too dirty .

Erandeni's house is beautiful and fully equipped, plus safe and very quiet subdivision. We could walk downtown in less than 10 minutes and find the top attractions and restaurants for everyone. There was a small damage in the house, nothing serious or that will complicate our stay, and Erandeni was very well behaved and was super aware of the situation. We would definitely stay at home again, we really enjoyed it!

Erandini’s home was better than what we had expected. The pictures do not do the place justice. Each room has its own restroom, tv, and coffee maker. We loved the colorful yet subtle decor which reminded us of various states in México. The home is in a gated complex just 10 minutes away from Jardín Union (Downtown). The walk down is fun with lots of places to stop along the way for photos, but be advised, the walk back can be steep. Do yourself a favor and have a glass or two of wine on the balcony while enjoying the beautiful city of Guanajuato at night. The city is lit up in the shape of a heart. You can also view the Pipila from there. Adios Guanajuato, asta pronto!!
