4BR Villa in El Sauzal de Rodríguez

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

Loved this place. Amazing views and the house is beautiful.

Absolutely breathtaking- I think this might be the best Airbnb in Ensenada, the views are absolutely amazing, and there being two balconies is just perfect, water was really hot which was appreciated, looks exactly like the pictures heavily recommend :) We loved doing smores and using the grill , really close to playa cocodrilo, prettiest beach in Ensenada ! Hosts were really helpful and kind, would definitely revisit

Everything was excellent, a very beautiful view, incredible places to visit even with small children. The house had everything you need for a very good stay, and the man who takes care of the place was also super friendly and available for whatever you need.

We had an amazing stay this weekend! The home was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. One of our favorite parts was the incredible ocean view—it made our mornings and evenings so peaceful and added something truly special to our stay. The host was kind, responsive, and made the entire experience easy from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely come back. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Cool just water for tub was always cold

Host Response

Hi Emely, so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! For future guests, if you have any maintenance requests, please let us know right away and our team can arrive (often in less than five minutes) to fix the issue immediately. If we don't find out there is an issue until after you depart, we will miss out on making your stay better while you are still there enjoying the home. Thanks again!

This was a great place for family vacation. View is breathtaking. 5 of us had ample room to sleep in. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were great and we all had good sleep nights. Had issues with hot water but on site manager took care of it whenever the pilot light went off. She was very responsive. We enjoyed the quietness and remoteness of this place. Host was great in communication. Onsite team was responsive via text and their actions. It is definitely off grid with no TV, powered by solar panel, and like many other places in Mexico, you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet. It was glamping!! We loved it. We would definitely utilize here again.

Absolutely loved this place. The views are unreal, right on the cliffs with the sound of the waves day and night. It’s peaceful, private, and the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect. We got engaged here, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place for such a special moment. The fire pit on the hill overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot. We spent mornings drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. Everything about this stay felt calm, special, and unforgettable. Jose Luis and Kristina were so kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

This spot has the best view facing the Bufadora! This was an awesome experience and getting there was half the fun as you have to go through a dirt trail up the hill (so be careful not to get there late) the place is equipped with everything you need minus a TV which is a plus bc it forces you to enjoy the scenery. Would definitely come back! I will note that the decoration has more of a bohemian style, which I personally liked, but my older parents thought it was a little creepy, which was funny to me. We all had a great time

We really liked the place, the view, everything. The truth is that we were very comfortable, Jose Luis was very kind, from guiding us to the house so that we did not get lost, which yes, I recommend arriving by day on the road that can be a little dark and bring provisions so as not to have to leave, the stores are not on the corner, although at the entrance of the place they sell firewood and other things. We were very comfortable, and wanted to stay longer.

My family and I had an incredible time. We brought enough food and supplies for our stay. Although the stores were a bit far away, it wasn’t a major inconvenience if you prepared your meals yourself. The concept of a “grid” is quite accurate here. The house has solar panels, and the water pressure can get low, but we never ran out of electricity or water. One of the best things about this place is the breathtaking views. I didn’t even realize we were directly facing the bufadora. The location offers stunning panoramic views. The property is completely private, and it felt incredibly safe. If you hike down to the ocean on the left side of the house when you’re facing the home, you’ll get another breathtaking view. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the water. We finished our day each evening watching the sunset while we had the fire on the fire pit warming us up. Totally recommend it. My family and I had an incredible time at this place.

Our stay at Baja Off the Grid was unforgettable! The stunning ocean views truly capture the essence of “sunset by the sea.” The house’s unique charm—enhanced by statues, beautiful paintings, and the delightful “Avocadom” building—creates a magical atmosphere. The amenities were good, with two bathrooms, including a beautifully tiled one on the first floor. However, the first-floor shower needs minor repairs. The solar power worked for most needs but struggled with heavy usage at night due to limited battery capacity. Note that the property lacks a heater, so it can get chilly—bring warm clothes! Kristina, the host, was fantastic and always available to assist. Firewood for the outdoor firepit (available for a small fee) added to the cozy experience under the stars. Since the property is remote, I recommend bringing groceries. Despite minor issues, this is a one-of-a-kind getaway for breathtaking views, tranquility, and a bit of adventure. Highly recommended!

Excellent, 1 year ago

Me and a group of friends stayed here for a weekend. Had a nice experience. I was in communication with José Luis one of the helpers. He was very responsive and helpful. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Getting exactly there was a little confusing at first but didn’t have much difficulty finding the house. The roads to get there are mostly dirt and curvy, so be careful especially when driving in the night when it’s really dark and the fog is creeping in. Getting to the bufadora from the house is a pretty short drive. I gotta mention though, one thing about the house that could be improved are the new age images. They were off putting for me and my friends and kind of creepy. The Virgin of Guadalupe statuette was very nice though and gave us a sense of peace <3 Overall we had a good experience. Thank you to Christopher’s team!

Host Response

Hi Brenda, thanks so much for the five-star review! While beauty is in the eye of the beholder (the following guest described the artwork as "beautiful paintings"), all guests can agree that this home's views and surroundings are truly spectacular! =D Thanks again for your stay and hope that you all come back soon!
