Overall we had a wonderful vacation. My husband and I traveled with our four children ages 11-15.
First the amazing:
- Valentina was a great host. She was very timely and responsive. We had an issue with one of the air conditioners and she had it taken care of and followed up with us to make sure it was resolved. She wasn't available to be there when we checked in, but sent someone in her place to make sure it went smoothly.
- Valentina's cleaning lady was fabulous. We had her come twice, and although we weren't expecting her to clean linens, she made sure we had clean towels and even washed some of my daughters' clothes!
- The location. The beach was perfect powdery sand and the water was clear and calm and incredible. I was able to let my kids play in the ocean without worry.
- The resort was small with plenty of chairs and shade regardless of what time you went to the beach.
- The patio/view....spacious and amazing
The OK:
- Resort restaurants were OK, whenever we could we chose to walk off of the resort. There were plenty of restaurants in walking distance that were much better.
- While we loved how the resort was not crowded the kids got a little bored. In the future we need a place with some activities or rentals to keep them busier.
The Not So Good:
- We were only given 6 smallish bath towels and 6 hand towels. One of the showers had a step out mat, the other had a hand towel. We have 3 girls with long hair and the air conditioners were dripping when we got there so the towel situation was definitely and issue. After the cleaning lady came she left another bath mat so that was good.
- The place needs a little updating, especially the bathrooms. I just expected more from a 5 star penthouse.
- When we arrived there was sand and hair in one of the beds.
- The back bedroom is hot, and our kids were fighting over who had to sleep there.
Overall a great vacation and fabulous time! We are happy that we went, but next time would probably stay somewhere that met our family's needs a little better.
