Great place

What to say about this perfect stay! First time in Nicaragua and I hope not the last time. The place was spotless and despite some electricity issues in the area, Andrew was always very responsive when we told him of an issue! The perfect region for adventure with this little haven of peace that will allow you to rest after each good surfing session. Our provided us with lots of recommendations in the area all better than the other. A quick tip… it's best to have a high car like a 4x4 because the entrance to the house and the surrounding roads are difficult to access! Amazing stay and looking forward to coming back. Thank you for everything

Our stay at Andrews was sadly not what we expected. Firstly, there was heavy road construction right outside of the house making it extremely difficult to come and go. Consequently, the water line was cut for the first 12 hours of our stay and for the remaining 36 hrs (we left early after just 1 day) the power was sporadically going out, sometimes for a couple hours, and the construction was very loud. The previous guests had broke the laundry unit so that was removed from the bathroom, leaving an open pipe that released this awful sulfur smell throughout the house. The caretakers were very nice. We needed their assistance a lot though, for finding the lock box, covering the open pipe, and dropping off the paper towels for the kitchen. The surrounding yard was also barren, mostly just dirt, not covered in foliage as seen in the pictures. Although much of this was out of Andrews hands we wished he had let us know of these issues ahead of time instead of on our arrival day.

Host Response

Lily, unfortunately a significant road construction project was taking place in the area during your stay. I hope you will have an opportunity to return to Nicaragua during the rainy season as you will find our property and the area to me more lush. We have multiple backup systems in place such as a water tower to ensure guests are never without water. You indicated in your review that you left after one day, but provided details of a 48hrs period. Providing accurate, honnest feedback is important in order for the Nicanuck team to provide the best possible service.

Very nice place, quiet area, large yard with no adjacent houses giving one that back-country feel, yet only half mile from the beach. We spent a majority of the trip on various adventures mostly outdoors during day time coming late at night. Certainly a great place to get that night's rest before the next adventure (and quiet, as mentioned). The gentlemen tending the front area were very nice and attentive to any needs. Great communication with them and Andrew, as needed.
