Casa Nicanuck is a modern home on an idyllic property that is well suited to families and small groups. Playa Guasacate is within walking/biking distance (900m) along with several surf breaks (5 min drive). The home boasts a private 24'x12' swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen and washer for your convenience. Come experience and enjoy what this beautiful area has to offer while you rest and relax in your “home away from home”. The space This home is equipped with 2 wall mounted air conditioning units in the master bedroom/ second floor bedroom and 2 large ceiling fans in the living space. Please note that electrical outages and or internet outages are common in the area. if you require to be connected continuously a cell phone data plan is a good contingency consideration The internet router is connected to a battery backup system that provides power to the router or for cell phone charging during a power outage. Guest access For your comfort and privacy, the house has a perimeter fence and full time caretaker. Other things to note We recommend stocking up on groceries from one of the big supermarkets (La Colonia, La Union, Maxi Palí) in Managua, Granada, or Rivas. If you require something in a hurry, there is a little store with basics in guasacate or Limon. Fresh produce and baked goods are available in nearby La Salinas. There is a ATM nearby, however the area currently does not have a gas station. For remote workers in need of ultra fast internet, we have Claro fiber optic internet.

Andrew was very helpful and replied promptly to any communications. He's very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and provided great recommendations. Amazing host! The area experienced some power issue for which Andrew offered solutions to. The kitchen has great knifes, cookware, a water filter, amongst the usual amenities. It was a great feeling knowing that we had access to a private pool to cool down!

The master bedroom was huge king size bed although it was Avery firm mattress has AC in room. Did not have a microwave or a coffee machine. There was many ants crawling all over the kitchen counter and outside balcony.

Great place with an outstanding pool.. Andrew is a good host and helped us with the unexpected roadworks issue we experienced by compensating us. Recommend staying here lovely and Private Thanks Andrew

Que dire de ce parfait séjour ! Première fois au Nicaragua et j’espère pas la dernière. Le logement était impeccable et malgré quelques soucis d’électricité dans la région, Andrew a toujours été très réactif quand nous lui faisions part d’un problème ! La régions parfaite pour partir à l’aventure avec ce petit havre de paix qui vous permettra de vous reposer après chaque bonne session de surf. Notre nous a fourni pleins de recommandations dans la régions toutes mieux les unes que les autres. Petit conseil… il est préférable d’avoir une voiture haute comme un 4x4 car l’entrée de la maison et les routes environnantes sont difficiles d’accès ! Séjour incroyable et hâte d’y revenir. Merci pour tout

Our stay at Andrews was sadly not what we expected. Firstly, there was heavy road construction right outside of the house making it extremely difficult to come and go. Consequently, the water line was cut for the first 12 hours of our stay and for the remaining 36 hrs (we left early after just 1 day) the power was sporadically going out, sometimes for a couple hours, and the construction was very loud. The previous guests had broke the laundry unit so that was removed from the bathroom, leaving an open pipe that released this awful sulfur smell throughout the house. The caretakers were very nice. We needed their assistance a lot though, for finding the lock box, covering the open pipe, and dropping off the paper towels for the kitchen. The surrounding yard was also barren, mostly just dirt, not covered in foliage as seen in the pictures. Although much of this was out of Andrews hands we wished he had let us know of these issues ahead of time instead of on our arrival day.

Andrew was a great host. Super helpful when it came to finding things such as surf spots and restaurants. Gave great recommendations and was always responsive.
