We had a lovely stay at this beautiful property on Playa Negra. The location was perfect for getting to the various must-see places in the area (Punta Uva, Cahuita Park, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca). Very nice house.

We chose the accommodation as a family with 4 children. It was absolutely worth it! Pool and the sea right outside the door! We were all very comfortable.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Blanca! The location was unbeatable and the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

The property was gorgeous, lots of wildlife, black sand beaches, tons of room in the home, short drive to the main part of town, and optional AC was a huge comfort. Was greeted with chocolate and wine, and felt very safe and welcome. First, don't know who Phil is. It seemed a property management company or larger resort down the road was taking care of all details. Second, the neighbors constantly smoked weed, so that was a bummer, but not necessarily the fault of the property. Third, why is the microwave in the basement and not with the main kitchen? It was several days that we assumed there was no microwave. Fourth, The master room ceiling fan is super corroded and rusty. Why is this not maintained? Fifth, the floors everywhere are SUPER slick. I fell, hard, on the downstairs patio, and can't imagine I was the first. Finally, the bathrooms need exhaust fans for how humid the showers get them, especially since there are only screens in the windows, open to the outside humidity.

Super convenient location that is right in the beach. Open the gate in the backyard and you are right on the beach. We also saw a bunch of animals on the property which was super cool. It’s right near the main road into Puerto Viejo, so while it can be a little loud with passing traffic, the sound of the ocean drowns it out. It’s about a three minute car ride into town. Would recommend staying.

Excellent option for staying in Puerto Viejo, close enough to supermarkets and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy a quiet vacation. Suitable place for family trips

An absolutely stunning house, located on the beach where you can spend the morning watching Tapirs, frogs, eagles from the pool, hammocks or veranda and the evenings listening to the waves crashing whilst you spend the evening with your family/friends. We had a blissful few days exploring the area with family and look forward to one day coming back. Highly recommend for both families and a group of friends. The beach is volcanic sands where you can walk for miles and if you have a car, bike or moped there is so much to explore. Bliss. Gracias!!

The house and location was excellent. Rarely have I been able to relax so much and enjoy a beautiful garden and the sound of the sea!! The helpfulness and fast communication with the host was outstanding. An absolute dream! I will come back

Casa Blanca was such an amazing place to stay. I absolutely love the Puerto Viejo area and everytime we come here we stay on Playa Negra. This house is in the perfect location with direction access to the beach. You hear the waves at night while going to sleep and you can wake up and brew a pot of coffee and walk on the beach. I will definitely be back. My only suggestion would be to bring your on pillow if you have a tough time sleeping on thin pillows.

I really enjoy the place, it had everything I wanted and more. It’s great because it’s very private but at the same time you will be near a lot of restaurants and great places in less than five minutes by car. You also have places to have breakfast, lunch or dinner nearby, walking distance. I’ll be going back really soon.
