A truly wonderful property, modern, impeccably clean, and with all the amenities you could possibly need. The highlight for us was the garden and pool. We sat watching the stunning variety of birds for hours on end! The location is very private but also only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Teresita was extremely responsive and any small issues were resolved immediately. They also very helpfully booked lots of activities on our behalf including a wonderful night hike with Natura Eco Park, Ecoglide Zipline, and the Arenal Volcano 1968 hike. Thanks for a magical 4 nights in La Fortuna!

La Fortuna House is truly a magical oasis. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and feels like you’ve escaped to a private retreat high in the hills, while still being so close to everything. From the moment you arrive, you feel completely relaxed and surrounded by nature. The property feels incredibly safe and private, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It honestly feels like you’re an hour away in the hills, yet you’re just minutes from everything you could possibly need. Every detail of the house and property is so beautiful and thoughtfully done. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down, breathe, and appreciate where you are. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Truly a special and magical place!

Beautiful home in a perfect location. The property was exactly what we were looking for and provided a great setting for our family vacation. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The host was extremely responsive, accommodating, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We really appreciated how quickly she responded whenever we had a question or needed anything. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this home to others.

This home was amazing! The pictures do it no justice. It is beautiful and clean. The home and landscaping is worth it alone. I would always stay here. Private and the town is right outside the gate. My family of 7 adults and a teenager had plenty of room.

Perfect for our family!

Absolutely perfect!! Our family of 5 had so much room to spread out and the house is gorgeous! Great location but also private. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Teresita met us at the house and showed us around and we felt right at home. Thank you for an amazing time!!!

We have been coming to La Fortuna for over 20 years and this was the absolute best place we have stayed with our family of 5. From the moment we booked the house, Teresita was extremely responsive and met us at the house for checkin. The house has a rich history that Teresita shares as she introduces you to the house, making the experience even more meaningful for us. If you have kids or a larger group and need more space than the hotels offer, this is the absolute best option in La Fortuna. Private bridge over the river, walkable to town, yet private and safe. And a pool! The attention to detail and cleanliness was a huge plus for us. We are so grateful to have had an opportunity to stay at this beautiful family home and will continue to stay here for years to come!

We had an amazing time! The house was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The house was exactly as described and was very clean. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely love this place. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. Felt right at home, private, safe, secure and beautiful. The host was friendly, helpful and responsive. I recommend to place illuminated lighting near the entrance of the property or a small sign. There is no street number or indicator that there is a private gated road (even though directions were placed in the Uber notes to each driver). Several Ubers could not locate us and cancelled several times, which was a huge inconvenience for our group. We enjoyed the personal chefs. I gave the host a list of groceries to have on site for us when we arrived that was awesome. I plan to visit again and stay at Teresita’s place very soon.

Beautiful home!! Great location, close to everything in La Fortuna and so peaceful with the beautiful gardens and pool. Plenty of space for large families or groups. Kitchen is super well stocked and host is so responsive and helpful! Would definitely stay here again!

The house and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! The location is incredible, with a shortcut that leads directly into La Fortuna. Bakery, grocery store, bars; everything you need is right there! The house is exceptionally spacious and perfect for a multi-generational family vacation. A major highlight was seeing hummingbirds and a pair of scarlet macaws right on the property. Plus it was an easy drive to all local attractions. Highly recommended!

The house and the surrounding gardens and pool are beautiful! All the bedrooms and bathrooms are great and offer good privacy as well as comfortable bedding and linens, with separate AC and fans in each as well. The house has all the amenities you need for a great family vacation, and can also be easily shared with two families since there are so many bedrooms and private baths. The home is private and just off the main road, but walkable to the shops and restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed the Argentinian empanada shop just down the street. Teresita is a lovely host too, super responsive and helpful and met us at the home for check-in, plus followed up quickly with any questions we had.

We traveled as a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids 10-15) and this house was perfect for us. It is right in the location of downtown La Fortuna, but the home itself is very private, gated and felt very safe. We woke up every morning listening to the birds and lost count of how many hummingbirds we saw! The hosts were very informative - even helping us map the best route from SJO to their home to make sure we arrived safely. I've shared the link and recommend anyone traveling to book this house. I've been in the STR space for 6 years, and the host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the house was well stocked to have all the amenities we needed. The house looks even better in person! Photos don't do it justice !

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The house and grounds were immaculate, private, and beautiful. We enjoyed drinking coffee each morning on the expansive back porch surrounded by lush landscape and sounds of nature. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and well appointed. Teresita our host was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. Highly recommend this property if you want something in town and walkable yet peaceful and private.

This home is just perfect, peaceful and secluded but centric. Not only is the house beautiful, well stocked, comfortable and clean but it feels like a home. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the grounds are, we saw many birds and beautiful flowers. We were able to walk everywhere and had a very private walkway to access town. I would not change a thing. In addition to the home and location being perfect, the host is just stellar. Not only helpful, responsive, attentive and welcoming but also great human beings. I cannot thank Veronica enough for helping us with a medical emergency, she went above and beyond and thanks to her our son was able to enjoy the trip. She took care of groceries, a private chef dinner, special foods for our celiac son, and everything we needed and more. Highly recommend this home!
