Excellent, 1 year ago

Super recommended, the place is amazing!

Amazing ! 10/10 would recommend & would definitely come back ! Upon arrival we were able to settle in. Main street is within walking distance which was a huge plus. Beach front & Pool front. All the amenities are greatly appreciated and very helpful. Rooms: Clean & ready to go. AC is available in each bedroom Bathrooms: Clean Kitchen: Great ! Clean & dishes/silverware available Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in Casar Palmar. Such a great experience for my family & I.

The house is very comfortable. You would never imagine that the kitchen is completely open. Although at first, I thought this would be inconvenient, in the end, I ended up liking it, as it is pleasant to cook with the beautiful view it has, but you always lose some privacy. From the photos, I had imagined that I would be sharing spaces with 2 or 3 other houses; in reality, there are more, but the atmosphere was very pleasant. The views are very beautiful, and in the end, having a house on the shore of a beautiful beach like Sayulita is well worth it. We had everything we needed in terms of kitchen supplies, and indeed, it has been recently remodeled, with lots of new appliances. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners are always attentive; although they give you the phone numbers of the people who help them locally, the owners themselves are more attentive. Worth the price.

The property is steps to the pool and beach which is very convenient especially with smaller children. The villas in this area are open, as they don’t have doors and windows, so it lacks privacy, so you must keep that in mind. Our group spent the majority of the time on the second level where the larger kitchen and seating was available. The concrete benches for seating aren’t very comfortable so this isn’t a place where our family could lounge. The place is safe and the pool area is the focal point for this property. Our toddlers met friends at the pool to play with and the beach area is much less busy than other areas in the bay. I would recommend this place for a group going to Sayulita that is looking for a quality rental.

We stayed for eight nights. Great location on the beach and by far the best location in this complex. We rented all four rooms. Penthouse is great and by far the nicest, most private area. Great view. Small kitchenette but I would give this a solid three stars. Its nice, clean but definitely is worn and needs a bit of work. The second floor has two bedrooms. King and another with two singles. Shared, very small, bathroom in-between. The back bedroom is dark and not great. Two stars for the second floor. The ground floor bedroom is a king room. Nice but lacks almost all privacy as it looks out on the grass and pool area that are communal. Also needs to be spruced up. Two stars. The kitchen/dining area are great. All the appliances worked and was pretty well equipped. Lots of mis-matched glasses etc. Not high end but very usable. We chose this specifically because of its location on the north side beach. The location is awesome.

Host Response

Mike, thanks for your feedback, we value it greatly. I am sorry it wasn't 100% up to your standards, we will be doing an immediate revision of the property to get it in better order for all future guests. Thanks your your honesty, and we try our best to be responsive when needed. That is unfortunate you had unwanted noise, that is not common but unfortunately does occasionally happen. We are planning a minor remodel this upcoming low season, and hope you will revisit soon.

What a beautiful home! We rented this house for a bachelorette and it comfortably fit 9 girls. It is in a great location- far away enough from city centre that you aren't affected by the noise and traffic, but close enough where you can easily walk into town for food and activities. It's also perfectly situated to where you can step out to the community pool, and then walk a few more steps to the beach! It was a breathtaking view. Lucas and Caleb were super helpful in planning our trip, coordinating shuttles for us and lots of local recommendations if you need. While we were there, any time we had questions, Caleb was very responsive and sorted everything out very efficiently. Would highly recommend this to all!

We rented the full house and enjoyed big time. We arrived a bit early and the hosts worked hard to allow us to check in a bit earlier (we had little kids with us so this saved our day). The view from the top is georgeous however, we missed the hammocks and maybe some furniture to make the most out of the space. The house was extremely clean. We enjoyed the daily support from the staff who cleaned the house almost every day. Great place to stay for sure.

Lovely location. Breezy and comfortable, even in June. Really cool open kitchen and open shower in penthouse. Great rental for a large group. We did not rent a car or golf cart. It was very easy to walk to everything we needed. The condo is very close to the surf break. The beach in front of the condo was much less crowded than the main beach and mostly free of vendors (much less anyway) The location was very safe and we did not ever feel the need to lock up when leaving. In general, Sayulita felt safe.

Okay, I have to say this place was PERFECT. I mean absolutely stunning. It surpassed any expectations any of us had. Perfect location, perfect decor, perfect space, perfect view. We rented unit 22 and it was the corner lot. It was located right next to the pool and you can see the beach and everyone on it from the house. You just have to walk down stairs to stand in the sand. We had family stay there for our wedding and each story had a private entrance with its own bathroom and “hang out” area with couches and chairs. The kitchen was open, which we loved. The top of the entire place (we called it the honeymoon suite) had its own kitchenette and outdoor shower. We could sit out on the terrace to relax and drink our coffee without interrupting our other guests. We fell asleep to crashing waves every night! We also took our wedding photos at this place, that’s how stunning it is. Lucas, Miguel and Azucena were very helpful and accommodating. Very rapid responses! The house was clean and open, letting in the beautiful beach breeze and it also has A/C in the rooms for the hotter days. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back!

How to describe all of the wonderful which was our stay at Casa Palmar this last week. We stayed 6 nights. The first 3 nights were gorgeous and rain-free which is unusual in July. The 4th night was awesome with lightning strikes way out on the water and dark, billowy clouds were lit up. The 5th day was the day of our daughter's wedding which was a stone's throw from our condo on the beach. We had a torrential downpour that evening which ended up being the highlight of the trip. The location is amazing with an Italian place directly across the street (Venezia)-we ate pizza one night and the best pasta another night. I had him specially make olive oil, basil, garlic and parmesan which was exquisite. We were within walking distance to lovely shops, little tiendas (markets), a wine and tequila shop and so much more. This is a very safe area. We did not have any mosquitoes for the first few days and the condo unit was practically bug-free. I did hear a gecko but never found it. The pool was pristine as were the grounds and beach in front of the unit. All the rooms were great and the AC worked great. We had one toilet issue which was reconciled almost immediately. The kitchen was well-stocked with every pot and pan needed as well as a wonderful blender and coffee pot. We bought limes and threw ice cubes and sugar to make these great lime icees in the blender. We brought extra ice cube trays because we wanted that and left them in the freezer for future guests. The sunsets and early mornings were magical and we floated in the pool day and night. The people staying there were all friendly and nice and we never felt crowded by others; we often had the pool to ourselves. Plenty of room to sunbathe or relax outside or in the unit itself. Lucas was amazingly attentive and responsive. Casa Palmar was a glorious place to unwind and enjoy all that tropical Mexico offers. We ate at Don Juan's, Mary's, Don Pedros, and Rustica, all of which were great. Mary's had great fish and fish tacos.

Lucas' house is a delightful place to spend a week in Sayulita! It is located right on the beach and has great views from the 2nd floor. Each bedroom has great air conditioning and the 1st and 2nd floor kitchens offer plenty of amenities of a modern kitchen. The house has plenty of water so those of us from the US had no worries staying hydrated. The middle floor has a great common area where we spent the majority of our time when we were in the house (we spent a LOT of time in town, on the beach and in the very nice pool). During the heat of the day it is a bit of a steamy place to gather as a group but during the evenings we played many rounds of cards while drinking at the spacious kitchen table. Lucas' staff were incredibly responsive and helpful in providing suggestions of where to go in town (everywhere was great) how to get there (Roy's golf carts, its too hot to walk all the way). I would recommend Lucas' place for anyone interested in having a relaxing getaway with a family group.

Wonderful unit with plenty of room for lots of guests. Very clean with everything needed to cook and very safe as well. Umbrellas and chairs (and beach towels) provided so no need to spend $15 renting them on the beach. Great location in Sayulita. A ten minute walk from downtown right on the water but far enough away from the river that you don't get any of its unpleasant odors while sitting at the pool or on the beach in front of the property. Area around the property is very convenient, with several nearby beach bars and grocery stores and restaurants nearby on the street. We've stayed in the Villas del Palmar subdivision several times and have no intention to stay anywhere else when we return. Lucas was very helpful and timely in answering the numerous questions we had and was an all around great host.

Our recent stay at House Tacayo was AMAZING! The amenities were all we could have needed. There was filtered water all around the until for us and each bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There was also a hair dryer which was nice. The beds were all comfortable and the fans and AC were nice to have. The open style kitchens and sitting areas were so nice and we enjoyed many mornings and afternoons sitting and . We were able to cook lunch twice while we stayed there! Brenda the house keeper was very sweet and did a great job and was super friendly. We really enjoyed having the boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella at our disposal as the beach is just steps from the unit! We also took advantage of the pool area which was just perfect! There was a security guard walking the grounds at all hours which was very reassuring, although I never felt unsafe the whole time we were there! I highly recommend this unit and I hope to stay here again! It is the perfect place for a large family or a group of friends as we did! We ate at a few restaurants in town which were all great! We loved coffee from Coffee on the Corner as well as Choco Banana! And our breakfast at Tropical House (right outside the gates) was AMAZING!! The veggie wrap (burrito) with added chorizo was just so tasty and I wish I wouldn't have waited till the last day to eat there! You really can't go wrong staying at this unit!!

Casa Tocayo is a wonderful home away from home. It’s open air concept allows for truly living the Sayulita lifestyle. Brenda was so sweet and cleaned the place beautifully on a daily basis. She gave us tips that made our stay even better. The Italian place across the street is super yummy when you are craving some comfort food. The view is amazing and access to the pool AND beach made everyone in our family happy. We struck up soccer matches on the beach with locals. Everyone was friendly. We plan to stay there again next time.

The recent renovation is beautiful. Everything was immaculate and accommodated our group of multiple couples with the neighboring unit (Casa Palmar). Noise easily carried through the courtyard from other neighbors and joyful kids, but as can be expected in a shared space. Just bring some ear plugs or join in. I felt safe and it was very clean here. Our host and housekeepers were friendly and professional. Perfect walkable location just north of downtown with the added touch of off-street privacy and a very nice pool area. Found a beautiful secluded beach within a 30 minute hike farther north. I would highly recommend this place to first-timers to Sayulita.

It is a nice house in appearance and comfort details, there were water dispensers in the bathrooms and the kitchen is very well equipped, even board games we find. Sayulita is a place to get to know each other on foot, the location of the house is very good but if you go in rain time you wear shoes that can get wet and dry because some streets maintain water flow even after the downpour. The service people were very friendly, helpful and attentive to support us, both the security person and the cleaning person. Across the street there's a delicious pizzeria. We really enjoyed Casa Tocayo
