I really liked the house; it is very comfortable. The area where it is located is very busy, but it was pleasant to be there.

This place was such a gem. Felt very safe. The pool was beautiful and amazing. No photo tricks making the place look bigger than it was. It’s a slight jaunt from the busy north party size of the island so rent a golf cart. But we absolutely loved the neighborhood. There were a few sweet local-style restaurants near by and also some fancier, delicious restaurants in a very short cart ride or slightly longer walk (I’m talking a ten min walk, if that). The beds were cozy and the AC was kickin! Every part of this place was well thought out. Salt, pepper, cooking oil and many spices were provided. Bring coffee and milk, but there is every part of a full functioning kitchen available. Also…. Coolest thing I’ve seen…. Filtered water from the blue five gallon jugs, pumped into the fridge for ice and cold water. Above and beyond grateful for this stay with our friends. (Group of 8 total, 4 adults and 4 pre-teens. Didn’t feel crowded at all).

Casa Macabi was such a special stay and we are grateful to have found it. When we return to Isla Mujeres again we will be trying to book this place for certain. Thanks Romaine and Delia!

Casa Macabi was the perfect getaway for our family. Centrally located on the island, it was walking distance to a ton of great restaurants (the ones we loved were Limón, taqueria Daniela, Bastos and Daisy & Raul’s). Rooftop is great spot to watch the sunset and we walked down the street to the beach to watch the sunrise. The home itself is very spacious. The bedrooms are large and the open concept - indoor/outdoor living space with the pool was where we spent most of our time. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you need to make a proper meal. The Super Aki grocery store is two blocks right down the street and made it easy to get all of our essentials. Communication was straightforward and made check in and check out a breeze. Highly recommend this home especially for group!

We had a great stay! The place was exactly as described and comfortably accommodated our group of seven with plenty of space for everyone. It was very convenient to have a small neighborhood convenience store within walking distance for quick supplies. We especially appreciated the sound machine—since it was New Year’s, the neighborhood was a bit lively, and that thoughtful touch made a big difference. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Out family loved our time here, especially the sunrises at Punta Sur, the nearby grocery store and access to the south of the island. The master bedroom is incredible too!

We stayed here for a bachelorette and it was perfect! We used the private pool every day and had no issues finding food/groceries near us. Our host provided a list of local recommendations from golf cart rentals to restaurants and local hotspots. Overall would stay here again and again

Exactly as described, spacious, and a spotless and CLEAN vacation home. Would certainly recommend a golf cart rental for transportation. The home is in a noisy neighborhood, but nothing that isn’t manageable, it’s the local atmosphere (only mentioning to counter some of the previous reviews). Would stay here again!

Great spot for our group of 5. Living in a neighborhood away from the tourist hot spots was exactly what we wanted and needed. the pool is an oasis after a long day and the local restaurants get the job done. Get yourself a golf carts and explore from the middle point of the Island!

We stayed at Casa Macabí with our 2 year old twin toddlers and it could not have been more perfect. They loved the space, exploring, and helped accommodate us with beach toys and 2 pack n plays for sleep. Leaving our little casita was so hard for our family! Would visit again in a heartbeat!

I recently stayed at the Casa Macabi to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and had a fantastic experience! Delia was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with all the amenities we could have asked for. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops, and attractions, making it easy for us to explore the area. The check-in process was seamless, and the host provided us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay. The host's hospitality and attention to detail really made our trip special, and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Our group enjoyed Casa Macabi! It was larger and nicer even than it looks in the photos. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We will be back!

Fabulous house, looks even better than the pictures. Pool was fantastic and local food/bar recommendations were excellent. Definitely visit Basto’s Grill, Fuega de Mar, and the Joint.

My family of 5 loved the casa! Very clean, great area, the noise machines were a life saver. Plenty of dishes, cooking ware, super market nearby, safe area, near the beach, the pool is a perfect oasis. We stayed in Cancun, Isla, and Cozumel this trip and my family all agreed Isla was our favorite

Loved staying at Casa Macabi! It has a beautiful pool and master bedroom. We enjoyed the multitude of ACs and loved how walkable it was to the grocery store and a few tasty restaurants. The hosts were responsive and helpful!

A Jewel in the Middle of the Island We are 4 mature couples that booked Casa Macabi for a 3 day excursion to Isla Majures. Upon our check in, we were very impressed with this residence. The living spaces had quality furnishings and appliances; good assortment of cooking utensils; etc. The outdoor patio area was a dream. With a good seating area, nice pool as well as an outdoor kitchen, this became our gathering place for conversation and refreshments. The master suite was the crowning jewel. The king bed sits under a large dome with a skylight and has two balconies overlooking the city. This residence is very well outfitted and decorated with top quality furniture and fixtures. All beds were reported to be very comfortable. The location is a quieter area than staying downtown, however there are options within walking distance for groceries or dining. For us the location was great as we wanted to be outside the party zone. We would highly recommend this unit.

Casa Macabi is a beautiful home in the rougher/more residential section of Isla Mujeres. To be clear, we did not feel unsafe, but nearby/walkable restaurants or cafes were limited. It's about 1,5hr by foot or 20m by golf cart to the northern beach where you have options to go out. For those who prefer an oasis and don't mind a drive-- it is a great space where we felt at home to watch TV, cook shared meals, and hang by the pool. The master bedroom is especially magnificent. In general all the rooms and furnishings were well considered! there were even floation devices :) We had some trouble in the neighborhood locating the spot, the street was missing numbers and taxis could not find it, keep that in mind when planning you will need to get a golfcart quickly or always call for taxis because it is a very quiet area.

This place was so beautiful! In the heart of the town, it’s great to get a feel for Isla mujeres without all the tourism. It housed our 8 person family nicely and we had a relaxing blissful stay because of this casa.

We loved our stay at Casa Macabi. The neighborhood was a little loud & "colorful". But if experiencing local life on the island is important this location won't disappoint! Great taco joint just a block down! We also loved being away from the crowds & crazy of North Beach area. Also, Delia was great!

Excellent stay at Casa Macabi. There's a super close to get you out. There are also very good local restaurants. We love the mattresses. 🥰 It is well rested and enjoyed if you are going to lock up. Recommended. 👌
