My family and I loved staying at Suzanne and Summer's house in Sayulita. It was so central, close to fabulous restaurants and shopping, could walk everywhere, had access to a nearby pool... such a find. My husband and I enjoyed the room upstairs overlooking the beach. Kids slept in rooms downstairs and they all loved it. The house was clean and very comfortable for us all. Sandra was delightful. Highly recommend for a family of teenagers or older kids or 4 couples. Loads of room to enjoy and spread out. We can't wait to go back and enjoy again sometime soon.

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It has everything you need and the host was incredibly helpful and responsive. I dream of coming back here !!!

We enjoyed our accommodations. The pool has a beautiful view overlooking the town. The Zen garden is a peaceful place to relax.

Suzanne's place is fantastic with a prime location. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our group of four. The only thing to note is the noise level. It gets pretty lively downstairs by the beach, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to noise. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Family trip with 3 kids (11, 13 & 13) and we stayed 6 nights. We had a brilliant time for the following reasons: - character of the accommodation - it was unique, fun, spacious - comfort - the beds and couches were comfortable. - location - steps to the beach, shops and restaurants. - hosts and cleaner were all very friendly and helpful The only negative was there were a couple of nights where the music from the restaurant below or clubs nearby was exceptionally loud and disruptive. I tried the ear plugs but they didn't really help. I would stay at this location again though and just bring different earplugs. I also recommend an eye mask as the blue lights from the AC unit and wifi are bright in the rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house and grounds are stunning and the view from the pool is worth every penny. It's definitley a bit of a steep hill to get there walking but we actually enjoyed the exercise after eating and drinking all day. Suzanne and her daughter Summer went above and beyond for us after an issue that was out of their control caused us to have to move to their other Villa on the beach (which was equally fabulous) partway through our stay. They were so helpful and accomodating and it truly saved our vacation. They also own the Buddah spa in town that we all enjoyed and had the best massages and treatments at. We would 1000% stay here again in the future at either property. Thank you Suzanne and Summer!

We had such a wonderful time at Buddha House! Sandra was there to greet us and provide recommendations. The house is unique and beautiful! It was perfect for the 8 of us. The bedrooms are air conditioned and honestly that's all you need after exploring such a fun and beautiful town.. We took advantage of Sandra's Breakfast and a Dinner for my husbands birthday. It was delicious! We can't wait to go back next year! Thank you for such a wonderful time.

My guests and I had a wonderful stay at the villa and surrounding area. The villa was unique and comfortable. We all enjoyed breakfast daily presented by Sandra a very pleasant and friendly young woman with a constant smile. Her cuisine was delicious and included sliced fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice and great coffee. We mainly congregated upstairs by the dining area and the rooftop when at the villa. A minor point we couldn’t get the tv to work in the lounge area so we strolled to the sports bar to watch our favorite team and enjoy each other’s company. Nightly live music was right outside on the street and late night local snacks a block away. Of course the beach was great with waiters easily available. The beach walking vendors were a little too constant but just trying to make a living. It was a fun getaway enjoyed by all!

Unbeatable Location, Great Vibes, and a Thoughtful Host We loved our stay at Buddha Villa. Years ago, it was a favorite bar and nightclub, and now it’s a stunning 4-bedroom villa—right on the beach, in the heart of Sayulita. The views are unbeatable, and the Asian-inspired design was preserved beautifully while adding modern comfort. Sandra, who served as both housekeeper and chef, was a highlight of our stay. She prepared three breakfasts and one dinner for our group of eight, and every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Her warmth and professionalism were awesome. A few hiccups: a nearby beach bar played loud music all night, a suite door broke (we used a patio door instead), and the fridge couldn’t be replaced during our stay due to a narrow stairwell. That said, Suzanne, our host, was incredibly responsive and generous—covering one of our meals and offering two free nights on a future stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would happily return.

We had a great stay at the Buddha Villa. The house is massive and had plenty of comfortable beds for our group (two families with 5 kids total). We really appreciated the provided beach towels, umbrella, beach chairs and yoga mats. The villa is literally steps from the beach making it an incredible location in the midst of great beach front restaurants and bars. The one down side is that the bars play loud music until 6am, but we had read the other reviews and description, so we were prepared. The kids slept right through it! Sandra was amazing and made us delicious breakfasts and dinner. We loved dining outside with the ocean view. Suzanne was very responsive to everything we needed. We would definitely stay at the Buddha Beach Villa again!

If I could give this host and air b&b a million stars I would . The stay was amazing ! The hosts went above and beyond for us . It was my best friends bachelorette and they setup all of our decorations for us it took them over 4 hours . So responsive , to all of our needs . Their house manager Sandra is so lovely and kind , she went above and beyond for us . This is definitely worth it !

We enjoyed our stay in this remote and extremely beautiful spot on a hill above Sayulita. Watching the bay from the balconies was very relaxing and a retreat from the bustling pueblo

We had a great stay here. It was a good space for my wife and I and 3 of our sons and daughter in laws(and one grandson). Town and the ocean were only a ten minute walk or a short golf cart ride. Suzanne and Ama were responsive to our needs when asked. Very pleasant stay.

Everything about the place was fantastic. The only issue we had was a late night beach bar that decided to play music until 5 AM in the morning and the music wasn’t that great. Bring some earplugs but other than the beach club late night music it was a lovely holiday.

We had such a beautiful, relaxing week at the Buddha Villa…it’s a peaceful oasis above a fun, bustling area …steps from the beach. The villa is spacious and has such an amazing feeling the minute you walk in. The sound of the ocean was our background sound day and night. Sandra was there upon our arrival and made us delicious breakfasts and amazing guac. We had a delicious dinner with her cooking as well. Our family loved sitting around the dining table in the open, fresh air. The villa had so many thoughtful features- towels for showers and also for beach as well as shampoo, soap, etc in the bathroom which we appreciated. Yoga mats, beach chairs, coolers, etc. It’s all there! Suzanne responded to every text and offered awesome suggestions for restaurants and anything else we asked about. It’s a special, unique, breath taking place. We fell in love with Sayulita and the Buddha Beach Villa this week- thank you Suzanne and Sandra!

We had an excellent time. The house’s location is about a 3 min golf cart ride to downtown Sayulita (the Plaza) & an 8 minute walk. The house does have quite a bit of stairs so keep that in mind when booking. The inside of the house is great, each room has its on AC - we would turn it off when we left the room and it would still stay cool when we came back. We had a private chef come cook every morning & night for a party of 8 & there was enough seating but we did have to get paper plates to accommodate us all for the meals. Not really a big deal if you plan to eat in town, which I recommend. There were some minor things that were noticeable but not deal breakers, like the pool’s heater was broken and wasn’t able to get fixed during our stay but we had been communicated that the parts had been ordered to fix it, unfortunately they didn’t just didn’t arrive on time. There are also a few dogs on the property and they do bark; however, we have dogs so not an issue for us at all

We had an absolute blast as Buddha Beach! Suzanne’s place is right in the heart of it all and is so beautiful! We enjoyed our breakfasts and a birthday dinner upstairs on the terrace with a view! The food was delicious that was prepared by Sandra. Sandra was wonderful in taking care of us the entire trip! I will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Sayulita!

Suzanne’s place was absolutely stunning. We were so close to an amazing beach and walkable to every restaurant. Sandra was the best amenity of all. She cooked for us, made us drinks and was beyond friendly. She was simply wonderful. I would recommend Suzanne’s Buddha Palace to anyone traveling to Sayulita. I will definitely be back. It felt like home.

Suzanne and her family were absolutely amazing to deal with. The hospitality was through the roof. They also had a wonderful gal by the name of Sandra that was there to facilitate the whole process. Would highly recommend this location. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a fabulous time at Suzanne’s the place was amazing with beautiful views. The house keepers were amazing and so friendly. The cooks were so nice and made us some great meals. We definitely needed a cart to get around. We had 2 toddlers with us so it was very much needed. All in all we recommend this air bnb.

The two women that managed our stay, Suzanne the host and Sandra the daily house attendant (and excellent cook) ensured that any issues were promptly resolved and that our safety and comfort were their top priority. With four king bedrooms that each provided privacy and dedicated bathrooms, to the commercial style kitchen with spacious indoor and outdoor common areas, large groups can easily be accommodated. The top deck area is good for sunrises, yoga and star gazing. The home is truly fully furnished with fully supplied kitchen, yoga mats, beach towels, entertainment electronics, good WiFi, bath supplies, etc. etc. Location is as described steps to the beach, restaurants, shopping. No need to rent a golf cart or auto. Suzanne can arrange a good driver for airport transportation. The house is located very central to all activity so beware that bar music can be heard into the wee hours on weekends. Overall great stay!

Casa Kukana was AMAZiNG! We went with 2 other couples for my 50th bday and it could not have been more perfect! And I am not east to please! Cannot wait to go back! Suzanne was the best!!

My family and I an amazing stay in Sayulita. The house was perfect for us as everyone had their own room with bathroom & shower which made it easy for us to get ready and have our own space. The house is in a great location that is tucked away but also super close to town. Suzanne was very helpful with recommendations and any questions were had. Her son Taylor was also readily available should we need anything. I would definitely stay here again!!

Gorgeous place! Perfect location! Very clean! Sandra was an amazing chef! I’d definitely stay here again. I hate to say anything negative because our stay was fabulous, but just to be honest, two of the rooms did have leaks and the water in the showers never got hot. Other than that, perfection!

This place was BEAUTIFUL! The views were unreal. It was perfect for a group of 7 and Suzanne accommodated our length of stay. It was very clean and spacious - AC worked. There was a storm one night and the AC in one room didn’t work but someone came to fix it as soon as we messaged about it. It is a somewhat walkable location but it is somewhat steep (in terms of the little hill/walking trail) - it was an ok walk in the day time but definitely not walkable at night. We didn’t get the golf carts since we were able to find a reliable taxi but I’d highly recommend doing either or. We wished someone would’ve shown us more of the “hidden beaches” but there was a print out of other local recommendations. Lastly, the TV in our room didn’t work which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was such a beautiful home and we felt very comfortable - we definitely plan on staying here or another one of Suzanne’s location in the future :)

Beautiful space and a wonderful location close to beach, restaurants, shops etc

This place was an amazing Airbnb for 8 folks. Everyone had their own master bedroom with attached bathrooms. The place looks even better in person than in pictures. Ideally located on the beach and restaurants in Sayulita. Suzanne was also very responsive to all inquiries and was a very nice host. Will recommend this place to everyone. It’s a steal!

We loved Buddha. It is just beautiful inside I definitely hope I get the chance to visit again. Sandra cooks the best breakfast too. There were so many cute cafes in walking distance. We taxi’d to a beach club In a town up the coast to change it up a bit. The locals were so helpful recommending places and were so nice. This is a beautiful and safe area.

Beautiful place, accurately described. Sandra cooked us breakfast for two days and it was an excellent experience. If we had stayed longer we would have had her cook dinner. Sandra was always available and willing to help us with anything we needed. We would stay here again as It is centrally located and can accommodate a large family. We will return.

This is easily the most incredible stay we have ever had. The space is absolutely gorgeous with a view of the ocean, and even surrounded by nightlife it’s quiet and peaceful instead! It is right in the heart of everything Sayulita has to offer, no golf cart needed. Suzanne is very responsive, helpful, and kind. Sandra keeps every room clean and fresh every day, and I highly recommend signing up for breakfast and at least one dinner at this home. It’s also equipped with all of your beach needs! Further, it’s right above the spa which provided the BEST massages any of us have ever had. Look no further, book this home!

We had a group of 8 ( 4 couples) so could not have been a better set up. 4 king beds and 4 great private rooms w/ gorgeous baths. Sandra the house manager was heaven and her food is delish!!! This place is everything you want for a large group and so close to everything- but surprisingly quiet too. It was just amazing. Her shop downstairs is the best in town and the Spa is also amazing. This place is a fiesta paradise especially ideal for groups of young adults! It is uniquely beautiful overlooking the ocean in the cutest little beach town. The location is perfect if you’re looking for a place centrally located within walking distance to everything Sayulita has to offer; shopping, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, the town plaza and of course the beach. Sandra, the house manager, is so sweet and super attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. The property abuts a loud nightclub so as long as you’re not expecting to go to bed early, you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself.

We loved staying at this house. For us, the location was perfect and gave everyone (3 young adults ages 19, 29, 22) lots of freedom to do their own thing. Convenient to the beach is understatement. Convenient to everything in town is also understatement. Location is A+ is looking for in town and in the thick of things. Master bedroom was amazing and we had doors to outside overlooking the ocean every night and could hear waves crashing on shore.

Suzanne's place is in the perfect location (right on the beach and right along the main drag - everything is walkable) and is great for a large group. It is very spacious and clean with a really beautiful, eclectic feel to it. We really loved our stay and would love to stay again. Huge thanks to both Suzanne and Sandra for being so helpful and accommodating.

Buddha House is exactly as advertised. Great outdoor but covered spaces for yoga and meals and just hanging out. It's right in the center of everything so you can walk out or stumble home.

Suzanne was responsive and helpful throughout the stay. She helped me arrange rides to and from the airport as well as breakfast and dinner, cooked by the house manager. The location of the rental is right on the beach with beautiful views!

We stayed at the villa for my bachelorette and it was the perfect location right by the beach and all that Sayulita has to offer. Even though we were centrally located we still felt like we were in our own little oasis. The views from the rooftop deck our stunning! Suzanne helped organize transportation for us from the airport and Sandra welcomed us with fresh guacamole! We had Sandra cook us a departing meal which was delicious. All in all the location, esthetic, hospitality and cleanliness were on point and I would highly recommend the Buddha Villa.

This was our first time in Sayulita. This place is amazing. Right on the beach. Next to everything to do in town. If you want to be in the mix. And stay at a beautiful elegant private property. This is the place. Her reviews are all correct. We felt safe and will return as soon as we can

We had a fantastic stay at the Buddha Beach Villa. I truly appreciated Suzanne’s ever responsive communication. The aesthetics of the house, being very Indonesian, made for a tranquil vibe. We had multiple friends accompanying our family and all the rooms with en suite bathrooms were ideal. We also loved and appreciated the house manager, Sandra, and her son, Luis, who we spent time with at “Tuba Beach,” and who surfed with us. Thanks to Suzanne and family for arranging the surfboard rental. Our kids and Louie surfed so much at the beach fronting the villa. We also really loved having Sandra cook breakfast and the dinner party she coordinated. Thanks to Suzanne for the yoga teacher recommendation. We enjoyed yoga with Tanis. The sky top terrace was ideal for yoga in the mornings. For large parties of people traveling together, this house is perfect. Thank you to everyone who helped make our time in Sayulita special. Look no more! This is the best spot in Sayulita! The house is amazing & pictures can’t do it justice. Plenty of space for our family- the temps were perfect in the bedrooms & the beds are so comfy- we couldn’t believe how late we slept in every morning! Everything you need is here & more.. beach towels, umbrellas & chairs -which saved money from needing to rent everyday. Beach is just steps away, and so is town. We had so many options of amazing places to eat, but really enjoyed our home cooked meal by Sandra the most! Definitely a must do! Sandra is so kind, we have never stayed in a place with a house manager- she is never in the way- and seems to disappear unless you need her & she’s there. Suzanne has everything dialed in! Her communication is so fast and extremely helpful-From our pick up at the airport to the sad moment we had to leave everything was perfect!! We can’t wait to come back- We enjoyed everything! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

My family and I loved staying at the Buddha Beach Villa. Suzanne is a wonderful host. She made everything easy for us. She arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and worked with us even though we arrived late. She made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. On top of being beautiful, the villa is fun to stay at. We took our five children and I felt safe enough to leave my thirteen year old at the villa for part of the day because she felt sick. There are restaurants and a pharmacy right by the villa and the beach is only steps away. Sandra dropped by in the morning to clean. She also did some cooking for us, which was delicious. She set up a taxi for us to visit another beach. This is the place to stay at in Sayulita!

Our group had so much fun at Buddha Villa! So close to the beach and all the sights in Sayulita! We used the upper terrace for yoga each morning with the ocean breezes and amazing views. Sandra prepared wonderful meals and assisted us with everything we needed. The Buddha Boutique and Spa downstairs was an added bonus. The spa services were excellent. It’s the perfect location in the heart of Sayulita I can highly recommend.

Location, location, location! Great spot for a big group. There were eight of us and we didn't feel like we were tumbling over each other, plenty of space. Steps to the beach, Don Pedro's, restaurants, bars and shopping. Suzanne was an excellent host and was available any time we needed her, communication was great. Sandra the housekeeper was very helpful as well and cooked us a fantastic breakfast. Fun times to be had at Buddha Beach, highly recommended!

Expect to have a great time in a great location. Suzanne was an excellent host that communicated with me about everything I asked with in an hour. She provided so much information it really is hard to not have a good time. Her chef Sandra was exceptional and top notch. If you have any interest in having any meals in the home you will not be disappointed. She will cook what you ask for or make suggestions with all the meals being spectacular. All my guests are already looking forward to the next visit.

This home is a jewel. The proximity to the beach and town can't be topped. Our kids all slept great in cold, dark bedrooms with sounds of the ocean. The common area and rooftop hammock is paradise. Sandra, the house manager, was absolutely lovely as well. She cooked an excellent breakfast. We hope to return to this home.

Hey everyone! I think I probably had the best Airbnb experience of my life at Suzanne‘s place. I’ve been to many countries and many Airbnbs, but this place is above and beyond. From the styling to the location, the manager Sandra, to Suzanne’s immense hospitality and local knowledge, everything was fantastic at this villa. We had a wonderful experience for Christmas. Honestly it was mind blowing. Super happy with this place, and I highly recommend Suzanne at any of her Airbnb properties, she truly is a Superhost to the core. Her style and standard of quality are unmatched. I highly recommend Buddha Beach Villa or any of Suzanne’s places!

A fantastic find. Away from the main town, up on the hill. We had a beautiful view, wonderful bedrooms and baths. Plenty of space to gather for our family of nine. Santiago, the caretaker, was especially helpful. He came and fixed whatever we needed. And he and his family fixed a wonderful meal for us. It was so delicious.

I must say this is on top of my List for the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. We were greeted by the hosts summer and suzanne at the villa when we arrived. Suzanne even arranged for our taxi pick up from the airport. The house manager Sandra was there to meet us as well and had prepared fresh guacamole and chips and had freezing cold beer in the fridge for us, as a welcome gesture. The villa is huge, probably around 5000 square feet. Beautifully decorated with two separate living rooms , One upstairs and another one downstairs. Four Large bedrooms with super comfy king size beds with en-suite bathrooms. There are so many beautiful details everywhere you look in the villa. We had Sandra prepare us breakfast each morning and the food was delicious. Sandra was very attentive to our every need. I highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants to experience being right on the beach and in the center of town. A few minutes walk to everything. Sayulita is an awesome town. So much fun.

What a perfect place in the perfect little town! My friends and I booked the Buddha Beach Villa to reunite after almost a year and half away from each other and it couldn't have been a better trip. The villa is steps away from the beach and the town square. Everything we needed was right there - bars, shops, beach clubs, restaurants, convenience stores, everything! The villa itself was stunningly beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed hanging out and dancing on the rooftop overlooking the ocean and relaxing in the many plush lounge areas. We opted for an in-house breakfast one morning and an evening dinner + drinks later in the week and everything was amazing! The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. I highly recommend the Buddha Beach Villa for friend groups looking to enjoy everything Sayulita has to offer. Thank you Suzanne, Sandra and Santiago for making our trip so memorable and special. We all hope to return one day!

This house is epic. So close to the beach with amazing views and four huge bathrooms and bedrooms. The house manager is so helpful and it’s a great place for groups.

Highly recommend this Airbnb as it is truly a work of art and every corner is filled with intricate details. Not to mention excellent hospitality from the host and her staff, which made the stay one of the most memorable ones to date. Overall, very worth it on all angles. From the moment we booked the Airbnb, Suzanne was incredibly communicative and helpful. All the information she provided before our trip was incredibly helpful to know and reference later on. It was very easy to arrange a ride from the airport, as well as being able to find the driver (Rodrigo) once we arrived. Rodrigo helped us with our bags immediately and offered water or beer as we entered the air conditioned car. He also drove us to the Mega and waited while we shopped for groceries and withdrew cash from the ATM. And then he drove us up to the Airbnb and helped us unload all of our things. When we arrived at the Airbnb it was way more gorgeous in-person, it truly is much bigger than the pictures! We were all blown away, and it is the most beautiful Airbnb we have ever stayed in. We were immediately greeted by Sandra and another staff member that was helping to get the Airbnb set up. Sandra ran through the basics of what we needed to know, what to expect from her, and let us settle in and enjoy the guac and chips that she made (: All the rooms are nicely insulated where the A/C keeps well in the room, even if there were a lot of open space areas. There is so much space that your group can comfortably relax without getting into each other's space. And everyday (besides Sunday) Sandra comes to freshen up the place, including your rooms, which made it such a nice experience when we returned from a long day of being out. The location is absolutely perfect. You are right by the entrance of the beach, next to many restaurants, surf and paddle board shops, a pharmacy for all basic needs things, and right next to the heart of town/ the plaza/ the main street. I could not think of a better location, you can just wake up in the morning and see the beach and can go out and get whatever you could possibly need! Suzanne continued to be helpful during our stay with any questions, and with advising a time to leave for the airport/ arranging for Rodrigo to pick us up. When we were saying our good-byes to the staff they were sincere and warm, which rounded out a perfect stay and making us wanting to come back soon!

Buddha villa was incredible and the pictures don’t do it justice. The location couldn’t be any better, the house was beautiful, every room was large and comfortable, the views were amazing and they had everything you could need and more already there for you. Sandra the housekeeper lovely and really worked hard to make our trip the best it could be. I would definitely recommend staying here, you won’t regret it.

The Villa is beautiful, spacious but cozy, clean & very functional.. but luxurious at the same time. It is fabulous for a group of 8 adults, or even 2-3 small families dependent required sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is brand new & stunning. It has everything you need if you choose to cook for yourself or opt for inservice meals. The bathrooms are incredible with plenty of room to comfortably unpack all personal care toiletries etc. Full size washer & dryer, plenty of fresh bath & beach towels & home essentials like paper towels, dishsoap etc. The view is outstanding, there is a look out 3rd level that we called the 'crow's nest' with a hammock & lounges that we used daily. We fell asleep every night listening to the surf crash on the sand & woke up every morning to the various tropical birds chatting back & forth . There is nothing but good to share about our experience at the Buddah Beach Villa . Extending a huge thank you to our host Suzanne & her amazing staff - Sandra, Santiago & Suzanna - you made our trip truly unforgettable !

Buddha Beach Villa is wonderful classic Villa located in the best location in Sayulita. My family loved the place and especially the location. A really great experience. Suzanne and her daughter were excellent host’s and attentive to all our needs. We will definitely book again in the future.

She is very responsive and truly cares about your experience. The villa is spacious, clean, and about 10 steps away from the beach. The villa is equally 10 steps away from the town center which is great for shopping and dining. Some of our group had to work remotely and were able to connect easily. Sandra came everything morning to make fresh coffee and tidy things up. She is available to answer questions and make recommendations as well. Overall, we had a lovely time and would recommend the place for those who like to be in the mix!

Spectacular 4-bedroom oceanfront villa! By far the best location in Sayulita. I 100% recommend it.

Look no further than Casa Kukana! The home was magical. Walking distance to town, although we opted for renting a golf cart to make things easier. The grounds are beautiful, and the home sits right over the beach. Don’t think twice about renting this home!! All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I recommend having Santiago and his wife Susana make dinner for you, it was so good! Perfect home in the perfect location!

A perfect house for our family. Very clean and comfortable and the views were amazing. We rented golf carts and I highly recommend doing that. Everything about our stay was perfect!

Amazing location! Literally steps to the beach as well as the center of town.

There is no better location then this house if you like to be in town close to the beach. Check in was easy and there was a quick response to and questions we had. Saundra, the house cleaner that was there everyday, made or stay very special. She took great care of us and the house. She also babysat my 4 year old son so we could have an adult day! The house is amazing with lots of space. The rooms are beautiful with extra comfy beds. I would recommend this house for large party’s or multiple families vacationing together. I thought it was going to be much louder bring in town, but honestly all I heard were the waves crashing all night. Overall amazing house/stay in Sayulita. Would definitely come back!

We loved Casa Kukana. We felt cared for by our hosts and rejuvenated by the house and grounds. We were three adult siblings, our parters, our dad, and two kids ages 5 and 7. It was nice to be up and out of the fray, but close to the town. We could go to town when we wanted high-energy vibes and we could stay at home when we wanted to be quiet and calm. The walk to town was pleasant and shady, through the quiet jungle neighborhood. It's also real nice to be near the quieter beach. We rented a golf cart for part of the week and that was fun too, but not absolutely necessary. The kids loved the pool, the adults loved sitting in the shade in the cabana. We could watch the surfers from our lawn chairs. We enjoyed the deluxe tropical landscaping. Santiago and Suzanna cleaned our place every day, which we didn't expect but so appreciated. They cooked dinner for us one night which was excellent; do this if you get the option. As many drinks as you'd like and excellent food, only wished we'd had leftovers! The kitchen had everything we needed to get started; utensils and dishes, oil and salt and pepper. They brought water to the house every day when they cleaned. We did laundry once and Suzanna even folded it?! How lucky and luxurious we felt. Suzanne arranged a big taxi van from the airport and made it really easy for us. The only challenges we had were small, and none were dealbreakers, but worth mentioning. Loud music floats up the hill from a club on the square every night, so bring earplugs or expect to sleep with the windows closed if you're sensitive to sound. The stairs up to the top level of the main house as well as the ones to the English Cottage may be difficult for people with mobility issues; there are no hand railings. The water pressure was nonexistent in the mornings when the gardener was there watering the grounds; so no showers early in the morning and sometimes the toilet wouldn't fill back up after flushing. But otherwise, everything functioned perfectly. AC was effective! The power went out once, for a few hours in the evening, but it was actually nice to have the quiet and dark; you can cook on the gas range in the kitchen and our host came down to give us candles. The house is essentially the ground floor of a much larger villa, which we didn't understand from the photos. We were surprised, but it wasn't a negative experience. Occasionally someone would walk through the grassy platform to exit the property, in the English Cottage you can hear conversations upstairs very clearly, once there were two people in the pool, and once the large dogs from upstairs got out and barked and pooped in our space and freaked the kids out... BUT ultimately, it felt mostly like our own spot, with some very helpful and kind neighbors. Would highly recommend this place for a stay in Sayulita. We felt like we really won the jackpot. Book this house-the location is perfect. Everything about this space is perfect! Sayulita is amazing and my group and I want to make it a tradition to visit annually.

The Buddha Beach House is amazing! Our group of eight stayed a week over Thanksgiving. The location could not be better. It's right downtown, steps to the beach, restaurants, spas, etc. The views are amazing. The house sits above the retail level below, so the front door is a long staircase up to the front door on the third level (not for those who can't do stairs... the house is also 4 levels, so lots of stairs). The main view looks out at the beach over the top of Don Pedro's a restaurant/bar below. Based on some of the previous reviews, we were slightly worried about the noise level, but it was really only noisy one night: Monday for Salsa Night at Don Pedro's. But it quieted down about 10pm. Other than that, we fell asleep each night to the lapping of the waves. Suzanne and Summer are great hosts. They greeted us the first night, then we did not see them again (though they were available by email whenever we needed anything). Very hands-off hosts, which made the house feel truly private. The house is BIG, with lots of levels. Many times, we would have to call to each other to find each other, or ask "Where is everybody?" only to find out they were on a different level. Sandra was the housekeeper each day, and we opted for her to also cook us breakfast each morning. She and her mother put out a HUGE spread each day. We opted for Mexican versus traditional breakfast: Chile Rellenos, Eggs with Chorizo, Chicken Enchiladas, etc. all with rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, fruit, juice and coffee. Each morning it was way more that we could eat, so she would wrap it up and put in the fridge for us to eat later. They are great cooks! They would set the table each morning and serve us plated food just like a restaurant. It was very pampering to wake up to coffee and breakfast in our own place. The beds are so comfy and the sheets are perhaps the softest I have every slept on. All the little details make this an amazing place. I would highly recommend!
