A gem – with beautiful views over the hills and the sea. Melissa is very easy to reach and a generous, straightforward hostess. We were very comfortable and at home.

This was the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed! It’s even better than the photos somehow. The space was perfect for two people. It was super clean and comfortable. Melissa made sure we had everything we needed and was very hospitable and accommodating. Her dogs are also adorable! The road to the house is indeed steep and bumpy but the view and tranquillity are 100% worth it. Just note that when you’re leaving to go into town or the beach, you shouldn’t follow your GPS if it tells you to turn right out of the driveway unless you want to go on essentially an ATV path. We enjoyed our time here so much, we’re already trying to plan when we can come back!

The place was a dream to be in. The view overlooking the ocean and the sounds of the animals were indescribable. The pool was also very nice. Melissa was by far the best host we have met so far. She was super helpful, always available, and consistently very friendly. We were even allowed to check out later, so we could spend the rest of the day by the sea. We felt very comfortable.

only issue was lack of hand rails for the many steps. for older people like me. Bed was really comfortable. Kitchen had all necessary tools and air conditioning worked perfectly

Melissa’s place was comfortable and offered more privacy than we anticipated. She is a gracious host. Carrillo allowed us to enjoy Samara’s nearby amenities while exploring the stunning beaches that are further south.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Laurel. Melissa communicated well, directions to her place were perfect (she even sent some pictures to help with navigation) and she welcomed us with open arms. The villa is beautiful, private and comfortable. The pool was ours to use while we stayed there, which, was refreshing. The view from the property is incredible!! The drive up to it was a dirt road but it was fine and totally worth it, plus we had a 4wd vehicle. It was very helpful for us to have a washer and dryer & hot water. Melissa even provided beach chairs, umbrella, a cooler and extra towels for our use when we went to the beach! ! Be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner like many places here. The villa is not far from Playa Carrillo, which is such a beautiful, uncrowded beach. I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you Melissa!

This is by far the nicest place I have ever stayed at! The pictures don’t do justice how beautiful Melissa’s Airbnb is… it felt like we were at a luxury resort. The views are incredible and the property is so beautiful we never wanted to leave. It had everything you could need from a fully equipped kitchen, laundry in the villa, an outdoor pool and deck with a covered area for grilling and preparing food. We even were able to use the exercise equipment outside to work out! We also had complete private use of the pool as Melissa and her family don’t use it while guests are staying. Our stay was so perfect and Melissa was so kind and proactive in making sure we had the best possible time. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone and would definitely come back!

My husband and I had a wonderful 8 night stay at Villa Laurel. Melissa and Oscar were very responsive and welcoming. The location/view was amazing. The villa was extremely clean, very comfortable, private and fully stocked. Washer and dryer in unit was convenient. Beach chairs, umbrella and cooler were provided for the beautiful beaches, just a short ride down the hill. We enjoyed the pool area as well as relaxing in our private outdoor area. We look forward to returning in the future. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

The apartment is perfect. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is clean and well equipped. There is a washer and dryer, which is a plus. The pool and bbq area is convenient, we enjoyed it. Namely, the pool water is cold. The house is perched on top of a mountain, and access is very steep. You need a 4x4. It's hard to get out without the car. To get down to the apartment there are stairs, so take that into consideration when you have several suitcases. The views are impressive and you can hear the howler monkeys answering each other from one mountain to another. Not to mention the diversity of birds on site. The doors and windows are sliding glass without sliding rails at the bottom, so insects enter (ants, spiders, millipedes and others…). Melissa is very friendly and kind. It was a great experience

The view was stunning. Monkey’s and birds all around. Very nice couple they helped me get medical when I needed it. Very private setting and had the pool to ourselves.

An absolutely amazing place. Peace and quiet are the key words of this accommodation. The host is very responsive and attentive. Everything is designed for total disconnection and absolute calm. A truly soothing experience, ideal for recharging and enjoying the nearby beach!

Great stay! A tremendous view and we felt very safe. The owners were so sweet and don't use the ammenities or pool during your stay so it felt like we had our own little slice of heaven! They also have beach chairs, an umbrella, and cooler for you to use + a washer/dryer. Would stay here again!

The casita was nice and clean with an incredible view of Carrillo and Camaronal. Awesome pool and deck area with shade. We saw monkeys every day and had access to beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. A sweet family lives in the main house while the casita feels very private. Many thanks to our host Oscar and Melissa!

This spot was incredible, we had a great time. The views from the guesthouse and the pool were so gorgeous that it was hard to want to leave! Melissa was such a kind host and really made us feel right at home from the start. Definitely need a 4WD to get to this Airbnb and make sure to follow Melissa’s instructions closely because the place can be a little tricky to find. I would highly recommend this Airbnb and would love to go back myself.

Melissa’s place was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. Very peaceful, great pool and loved the Howler Monkeys - saw and heard them everyday. If you are looking for something away from the usual crowded tourist towns, this is your place
