Marifer

Marifer's apartment is lovely, a good sized, well-maintained space, with a terrace on the side and a deck with a small private pool above. There are two nice communal pools also at the complex that were rarely crowded. A number of good restaurants are in close proximity, including Luma and Vagabunda 38. The beach is a very short walk from the front door. Marifer was always quick to respond to my wife's questions. All in all, highly recommended.

Calle 38 Norte by this location is a tree lined street with lots of great restaurants. It right by the beach. The penthouse condo had access to a private roof pool and the best views of the Caribbean. The front desk is staffed 24 hrs a day and was very helpful. Overall, a great stay!

We loved our stay at Marifer’s condo. It was exactly as described & the views from the private area & main rooftop pool were incredible. We’ve stayed a few times in the area but this condo was the best one yet! We are already planning our next trip & will be booking with Marifer again. 38th Street is the best street in Playa. So many restaurants & a few blocks to the supermarket & 5th Avenue. Everything you need is within walking distance. We had a great vacation.

This was our second time staying at Marifer's condo and it was great. She is very communicative and responsive. We were traveling with a baby and rented some baby equipment that needed to be delivered/picked up at off times. Marifer communicated with the company and arranged for these things outside of our stay and I truly appreciate it.

Great apartment in a fantastic location. Steps away from the beach and the restaurants on Calle 38. Amazingly quiet for such a central location. Having the private pool was great with ready access to the infinity pool, too. Really relaxing. Apartment was cleaned every 3 days. Marifer was very responsive. Highly recommend.

We loved staying there! First of all, the place looks better than in the photos. The private rooftop and pool is amazing. For those of you who know playa and the typical plunge pools, this one is so much bigger! You can easily swim 5 strokes in it (I'm 5'6). It's not just a dipping one. The main pool is also right outside the door. And you're not at all bothered by all the other rooftop patios around. The beach is less than a block away. (I recommend if you want chairs, etc, to go to Encanto, a block away, they have the best prices and they're super sweet).The restaurant La Vagabunda is right around the corner and always great. I've been to playa many times. This was one of my favorite places to stay! You're close to everything yet far away from the craziness of 5th, so it's quiet from the apartment. Highly recommend you stay there! Host is also super communicative and helpful. *ONLY* issue is the fridge isn't very cold, so you gotta use the freezer for cold drinks! But eh. That's it!

Marifer’s place is even better than the photos!! Right beside the beach with tons of space, the rooftop private pool was definitely a highlight. The place is on the cutest street in playa del Carmen surrounded with tons of cafes, restaurants, and coworking spots. It’s quiet but close to everything. Marifer was an amazing host super responsive, kind, and accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone :)

This is our second time staying at this property. This unit was perfect. End unit , with rooftop view of the ocean. Quiet, close to all and Marifer was quick to reply back with any questions I had.

We had a wonderful stay at Marifer's condo. The private pool and deck are lovely and the condo is spacious. We love this location and can't wait to stay again!

Wow!!! This place is amazing. I would highly recommend to any of my friends or family. Place is super private with our own private roof top plunge pool as well as the adults only infinity pool on the roof which we had to ourselves most of the time as well. In addition to being private it’s in the heart of everything. So many restaurants and shops very close. One small issue with the plumbing but it’s expected in Mexico and Marifer addressed it immediately. 100% plan to come back next year.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We have visited Playa several times and this is the most serene, peaceful and quaint location to be in. We felt very safe and comfortable with our surroundings. Tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance of this location. If you like the nightlife there is that as well. Steps from the the beach. You will not be disappointed with your stay here Marifer was a great host.

Mariner was very responsive when I emailed with questions. Rented again because of the great facility, pool, comfort. Easy access to restaurants, 5th Avenue shopping and eating and the beach view and quick access to it. Will strongly consider again. Just wish as a suggestion for info on transportation to and from. $120. To get there plus tip and taxi back $70. Be nice if suggestions ahead of trip regarding best way and price to and from airport.

We stayed here 4 nights. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was a very short walk to the beach and 5th avenue where there are lots of stores and restaurants. We had a rental car that we were able to park in a secured area for only $4/day. There is a private rooftop pool and nice terrace where you can see the beach and other beautiful views. We did not use the private pool because there’s an infinity pool just off your private rooftop terrace. There’s an Oxxo store just downstairs as well as a money exchange. It’s a short walk to a grocery store as well (Chedraui). We felt very safe here, even at night. With all of the action nearby, the condo itself is pretty quiet. We will definitely return!

Our family of 4 had a great stay. We enjoyed ourselves in Playa del Carmen a lot and would definitely come back. The water jug was empty when we first arrived, but after quick communication , it was replaced the next day. the kitchen was missing some of the listed utensils and such that the paper said were there. We didn't need them so it didn't matter, but there isn't an accurate inventory anymore. Access to the pools was awesome, they were a bit on the warm side so we mostly enjoyed night swims which was fine. The location was 10/10 couldn't have been happier. I almost booked an ocean front suite next door at Mahekal and am so glad I found this place instead! One of my best finds for our two weeks in Mexico.

We stayed 12 days in this apartment and loved every minute. Location is just perfect , 1 minute walk to the beach, 4 minutes to 5th avenue, Oxxo shop is right outside the door. I can't say enough good things about this place. Unit 301 is definitely the best one of all units, in the corner with the best views from the upstairs private terrace/pool area. Pictures here don't do the place justice, it's much better than you would expect from pictures. And you get housekeeping every 3rd day. And Marifer.... she is a brilliant host. We arrived around 10 am, ready to hang around till check in time ( 3pm). Marifer told us we can leave our luggage at the front desk ( we did, with no problems ) and she texted us around 11am that apartment is ready. 4 hours before official check in time !! After long flight from Europe....that's what we needed , but didn't expect it at all. She answered our questions straight away and very professionally. Even gave us her private phone number. I honestly can't thank her enough. Anyway....I would definitely book this place again.

This was our second stay at Marifer's condo. The location and the private rooftop patio and pool absolutely can't be beat. Marifer is very kind and very responsive--we had a couple of small hiccups but Marifer did her best to address them quickly. I want to note that the bathroom and kitchen fixtures are a bit tired, but I knew that going in, and considered them a small compromise for the otherwise excellent experience and location.

This was a great find. 38th street is a great scene in Playa. The condo is is less than a block from the beach and has easy access 38th street and 5th ave. The pool is lovely getting sun all day long and views of the ocean. The inside was a great fit for our family. Large master suite was great for us and two separate beds in 2nd bedroom for our kids. The house was clean, quiet, and cozy. It really was a great fit for a family with kids under 6.

We had an amazing time. Condo is as shown on pics with exception to no table and chairs on the main floor balcony. But upstairs tou have tables and chairs to relax. Marifer is awesome and quickly replies to any queries. Note there is no washer dryer in the condo.(maybe a shared one not sure) private pool and area are great as well as the infinity pool. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Great location!!! We will be back!

We had a great 11 night stay at this location. It is probably the best located unit at this complex. The outside area was outstanding. Cleaning service was provided every third day which was perfect. Marifer was quick to respond when we reported the safe was not working. It was replaced the next day. The only downside for us was the lack of in-unit laundry. The listing led us to believe we’d have one. There is a washer and dryer available but it’s in the parking garage. It was difficult to get into (only one in the complex) and the washer took forever to complete a cycle. It took 3 hours to get 2 loads done. Not how I wanted to spend my time. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit.

The property is fabulous. The condo has the best view of all the units. Great property, well located and the views are fantastic. The unit is better than you would expect. The location is really good with many restaurants around and just far enough away from 5th Ave to get away, but close enough for a nice walk if you want to. Marifer is very easy to communicate with. She is prompt in her replies and if there are any issues she is very quick to get things done. An excellent host.

The place was absolutely perfect! Location, amenities, pool and entire rooftop. We made good use of the blender also. We had a slight toilet problem which was handled immediately. Everything was as promised - we couldn’t have been happier.

What a wonderful place. Best located condo in the whole Pueblito Escondido. The scenery in the pics do not do the place justice. Comfortable beds, relaxing area, beautiful rooftop, big windows, perfect neighborhood. We could not have asked for anything more!!!

This location is perfect for a family. It’s right next to the beach, and on the quiet side of town. We have stayed here many times and we always have a great time here. Unit 301 is the best one at PE. The only real downside is that there is very limited parking and the building has aged over the years. The hospitality and professionalism of the staff is second to none. Marifer is also very quick to respond to any questions you may have. I would def recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Marifer's condo last week. The space is comfortable and clean and two bathrooms makes it easy to share the space with friends. The location is IDEAL. The rooftop deck and private pool means you never have to deal with crowds or fight for space. And if you want to go to the beach, the secured gate at the end of the building is literally 5 steps from the public beach. The condo is located at the quiet end of 5th Avenue. It's on the prettiest street in the area with lots of old growth trees and plants. It's walking distance to all the restaurants you could want, both on the tourist strip, but also a bit further afield to the more local spots. I would happily stay here again.

This is a great place, dont want to build it up to much so it’s not available to us! So many great restaurants right there, fifth ave easy walk, convenient store next door for basics and ice, 7-11 down a ways for a lot of other stuff. Bring plastic or yeti cups for upstairs by pool. The passes for upstairs food/ drinks glad we didn’t buy that. Owner was very responsive to issues, main one was TV, wish there was more USA channels speaking shows. CNN was our main channel. Not my choice.... but would rent again, loved that area and condos amenities!

This is an absolutely beautiful condo for a relaxing vacation! Marifer is an outstanding host who speaks great English and responded promptly to any questions we had. The rooftop was incredible and location couldn’t be better! We will be back!!

Love this amazing place that's why this was my second time here, also loved it because Marifer is an excellent host and is always on the lookout for anything you might need, she also was nice to let me check out a lot later than usual, it's very hard to see that with other hosts. The place was clean, location amazing, private pool and infinity pool also amazing with great ocean views, cant say enough. Thank you Marifer again until next time!!

This unit was everything I could have asked for and only steps to the sand. It is the front unit in the complex and has beautiful unobstructed views of the sea. The rooftop pools looked just like the pictures and made our vacation great.

This was an incredible place to stay! Not only was it literally only 30 seconds from the beach, but the rooftop pools were incredible. Great location made for a great vacation! Thank you!

The apartment is just amazing. Better than the pictures. The furniture is new and in perfect condition. The beds, great as well as the linens. It is not just an apartment, as the condominium has a structure similar to that of a hotel, which provides all the necessary security and support. The location is perfect, on a very charming street and 3 minutes walking from 5th avenue. One note is the presence of many pigeons in the private and public pool area, but they are everywhere, not only around the apartment. Strongly recommend this place!!!

Beautiful and great location

This place was absolutely beautiful! We stayed at the house most of the time. The rooftop views are absolutely breathtaking! Even the infinity pool which was right next to out patio and was public was empty 99% of the time! We will definitely be back here! Also it was just 1.6 miles from the collectivo stop where we took a cheap taxi to the air bnb. Sooo amazing and a great value!

The apartment is just as pictured. It was clean and the location was great! We would love to return in the future.

This condo was perfect for our girls weekend trip with (4) friends. The location was great right next to the beach, and walking distance to several nice restaurants markets and bars. Convenient store located right downstairs. Very short ride to the main streets. Most of the 3rd floor units like this one had a private lounge and pool on the rooftop, which was a very nice amenity. Unit included plenty of kitchen items and towels, and was clean. Host also has more units in the complex. I would love to stay at Pueblito Escondido with a larger group again!

Great location, wonderful rooftop lounge area & pool. Master is very spacious but do note that the second bedroom is half the size of the master and has 2 twin beds, so it could feel a bit tight. Marifer was always very prompt in responding to questions, but I really wished there had been more proactive communications... both before our arrival to provide check-in instructions (when I reached out to ask, she was always fast to respond, but I feel basic hosting should provide you with this info) and also instructions for your stay (e.g. how to take out the trash). I wish the bathrooms were cleaner, and the fixtures definitely need to be replaced as they’re covered in blue water buildup... Otherwise, the condo is in a great location, especially if you’re a diver. Check out Blue Life 2 blocks away !!

Amazing property! Very accommodating on every level. A few glitches with WiFi but all else was top of the line!

Excellent location.

Host was able to answer all of my questions in a matter of a few minutes which was a big plus for me. This place was so beautiful it felt like home away from home. The balcony was great, the rooftop with the private pool was amazing with an ok view of the ocean. The infinity pool was bigger than the family pool with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Too bad my husband and I didn’t really get to enjoy it as much due to the bad weather it was pouring rain our whole stay. We would of still gone into the pool even though it was raining but they turned off the heat in the pool so it was too cold to. The WiFi wasn’t so great either there was better service in the rooftop than in the condo. We still made the best out of it even though the weather was terrible.

We loved our stay at Marifers condo. We were travelling with a 10 month old baby so having the private pool with direct access from the room was great. We thought the location was excellent, it’s quiet which was perfect for us and there are fantastic restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again

Marifer was great. She was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better hostess. Now about the penthouse condo: Wow! What an incredible view. This is by far the best unit in the building. There are ocean views from every window and the rooftop terrace had a panoramic view of the ocean. The condo is located on the quieter side of 5th street, so we could relax without all the loud, blaring music from the bars and clubs. We used all three pools every day. Other guests were rarely at the pool, so it was nice to have the pools to ourselves. We are coming back next month and plan on staying here. We absolutely love this place and we highly recommend it! Do yourselves a favor and book this place right away!

Marifer's place is awesome! The apartment is very roomy and the private pool is amazing! This was my first time in PDC, and after touring the town my friends and I agreed that the apartment is in the perfect location; the shops, bars, and restaurants are all in walking distance. Additionally, Marifer is a great host. She replied to my messages right away and provided all the information I needed. Our experience was amazing. The one small downside was that if we used both showers at the same time the water got cold pretty quickly, so we were taking turns showering which, sort of defeated the purpose of the two showers. However, this was very minor and didn't ruin my stay. We still enjoyed ourselves are considering coming back next year! Also, you must make it to Las Hijas De Las Tostada, which is a block away from the apartment. The food is great and the margaritas were the best we had in our entire trip!

The location is fantastic with a great ocean view and only a few steps from the beach. The unit itself is updated and clean and was very spaciuos for four adults. There are several fantastic restaurants right on 38th. The unit has it's own rooftop pool along with a shared rooftop pool and two nicely shaded seating areas. We will certainly consider this space again on future visits to Playa

We felt super comfortable in Marifer's apartment. Great amenities, quiet location close to the beach. The pool area on the roof is very nice. Everything well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. We would book Marifer's apartment again anytime.

We had an amazing stay here.

We loved staying at Mariner's condo on 38th Street. It is literally steps to the beach, situated on the quiet end of 38th St, which is one of the prettiest streets left in Playa due to the beautiful vegetation and trees which hadn't been torn up to allow for building work. We tried all the restaurants between the condo and 5th Ave and frankly you don't have to wander any further as they all provided excellent food with a delightful ambiance. The condo itself was even nicer than the photographs and worked perfectly for 2 couples: we were there with our daughter and her boyfriend and our other daughter and boyfriend popped by frequently. There was always enough room both inside and on the fabulous private roof terrace. A few steps out of our private roof area brought us to the beautiful infinity pool and there were never more than a dozen other people enjoying it. The views from the roof are gorgeous. There is another family pool on the ground level which was also a lovely big pool and never over-populated. We actually had 10 family members staying in the hotel over the road so their proximity to us was great - a lot of movement both ways over the street! All in all this condo was fabulous and in a great, quiet location. We would rent it again without hesitation. Thanks Marifer too for your prompt attention to the A/C problem we had.

Marifer's place was even better than we expected from the photos and descriptions that are detailed on AIRBNB. We had a great time in Playa del Carmen and staying at Marifer place made the experience even more enjoyable. What a fantastic place.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The host and concierge were very friendly and quick to respond. The view is amazing! The location is perfect. It's right next to the beach and right next to 5th avenue and all the shops/restaurants. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Super nice apartment in one of the best neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.

This was a great place to stay. The location was ideal for us-steps from the beach and a quick walk to Calle 5 where all the shops and restaurants are. There is someone at the front desk and the building felt very safe and secure. Marifer is an excellent hostess and was helpful with anything we needed; she is very prompt to reply. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. It felt like we were staying at a fancy hotel! Great rooftop private pool and deck we enjoyed. Thank you for having us we would love to return again...so many things to do in the area we didn’t get to experience everything on our list!

Excellent location, lightening fast communication and an overall easy and pleasant place to stay.

This was a truly wonderful place to stay. It did exceed our expectations. Marifer was an almost instant responder. We did not realize it was so close to the water's edge. Literally within 100 feet, and that is 100 feet is sand. Walk out, your feet are in the sand. The location, for Playa del Carmen, is the very best. It is on 38th Ave., at the end, by the water. 38th has at least 5 of the very best restaurants, within a few hundred feet. Two VERY good local Mexican food, fine Italian, casual Italian, breakfast food, two coffee shops, 38th is the quieter end of Playa and the best as far as our experience. Far enough away from the crazy teen partiers to really allow quiet and relaxation. The unit is just the best of the entire complex. Top floor, on the water end. Private rooftop pool and lounging area, Beautiful sunrise views every morning. 24 hour staffed lobby. Very responsive. The unit was exceptionally clean. We went prepared with an arsenal of bug spray and did not need it in Playa at all except a few of the local restaurants that have some vegetation around them. There is more to do in the Yucatan then you can imagine from reading about it. So much more, but I will stop here, because if I continue we will never be able to stay at Marifer's home again.

This penhouse was excellent, clean, spacious and good condition, the location is the best just few steps from the beach and a block from 5th avenida with all the bars, stores, restaurants etc. The private roof top pool was great with views of the ocean and also the huge hotel pool was nice hardly ever people up there so it was almost like we had the whole terrace for our selfs. Marifer responded quick for any of my questions, we loved it.

The apartment is incredible, everything in excellent condition, very clean, very well located a few meters from 5th Avenue and a few steps from the beach. Having your own pool in the apartment is incredible. 100% recommended

Marifer's place was even better than advertised and the pictures don't do the place justice! The apartment was beautiful, clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. The rooftop is absolutely amazing and the perfect spot to chill by the small private pool and enjoy some sunset cocktails. Additionally, the apartment is in a prime location, situated right next to the beach and in the heart of plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. The services that come with the condominium complex (such as tips from the concierge, transportation arrangements, etc.) are also a plus! Looking forward to staying here again sometime in the future :)
