Our stay, generally speaking, was very good. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. There were three families with eight children and six adults, and the space worked perfectly. The surroundings of Hacienda Pinilla are extraordinary, and the staff who looked after us during our stay were always very friendly and helpful, both with breakfast and with preparing meals. Unfortunately, on the second day we realized that cash had disappeared from inside the house. We cannot say what happened or who was responsible, but this event completely changed our experience, since for the rest of the stay we lived with worry and insecurity, having to constantly guard our belongings. We decided to report this situation to the manager at check-out to avoid conflicts during the stay. Initially, he showed a willingness to look into what happened, but then he stopped responding to our messages and

Amazing place to stay for a girls trip! Each room has a king bed and private bathroom which is a must with so many ladies! Eylin was amazing! She delicious cooked breakfast every morning and kept our bedrooms and spaces clean and tidy. We did our own laundry but Eylin made sure our bathroom and pool towels were always clean and ready to go. The theater room was a super fun bonus and the living room was a great space to hang out. The kitchen AC was out and made the morning hours a bit warm but the room ACs were deliciously cold and comfortable. Ricardo was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The included shuttle service to and from the airport was a nice touch and we ended up hiring them for individual tours which were personal and we felt safe. We will be back for sure. Pura Vida!

Eylin was an excellent cook and housekeeper and she went above and beyond for us. Take my advice and buy your own groceries for her to cook. It will save you a lot of money. Even the excursions you can probably save money to book yourself, but it is very convenient to allow Ricardo book it for you and make all the arrangements. We did not rent a car. One could have definitely been useful. We Ubered to Tamarindo twice, and that’s not easy because of the security gate. We walked twice to the beach (which is a long walk with kids) because of the exorbitant cost of the golf cart. One thing we had a difficult time with is getting clear instructions on how to get to the beach or the beach club. Overall, we recommend this house. It’s lovely and can sleep a big family.

The villa is beautiful and located in a great area of Hacienda Pinilla. Ricardo was excellent before our arrival, coordinating transportation, excursions, groceries, golf carts, restaurant recommendations, and a private cook. The cook was phenomenal & prepared some of the best meals of our trip. Guests should note the villa is two separate buildings, with four bedrooms detached from the main house. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay: overpurchased groceries, malfunctioning locks, a primary suite keypad that repeatedly stopped working, a bedroom with ongoing bug issues despite being sprayed, a golf cart key also disappeared from the kitchen island while we were away, & we were charged for its replacement. Additionally, a guest had $500 cash go missing, but Ricardo replaced upon our departure. Many dishes, cups, mugs were chipped, cloudy, worn. The back of the property is also very dark at night. For the price of this luxury rental, we expected better upkeep & security.

I really enjoyed my 4-night stay with 7 people for my bachelor party. Ricardo was always responsive and if we had any issues, he had workers fix them immediately. The ladies who prepared breakfast and cleaned were very helpful and kind. I would recommend booking with Ricardo.

A good space for our large group of 11. Pool is perfect with shallow areas to sit and relax. Huge outdoor couches with umbrellas for lounging. The included Costa Rican breakfast was tasty. Our chef/housekeepers were kind and helpful! A/C is great! Overall, not worth the price. Cramped indoor dining area. Felt too crowded to all eat at the kitchen island and too many mosquitos to eat outside. Ricardo was not straightforward about groceries/cost for our chef cooked meals. We did not receive an itemized receipt and there is a 35% fee added to total. Backyard looks at golf course with no fence/plant barrier (although easy to spot birds and monkeys in open area). A/C did not work in one room and was not fixed while we were there. Inconvenient location for activities, great if you only want to be at airbnb. Recommend renting a car and not ordering extra chef meals.

We booked this home expecting a true luxury experience based on the description. It was a significant disappointment, especially for the price. While the layout and location are good, the condition, maintenance, and overall finish are far below what’s advertised. That said, Ricardo, the property manager, was attentive and great to work with. He helped coordinate excursions and arranged a private chef dinner, which was fantastic (though notably, the chef had no proper serving dishes to use). Key issues: Exposed wiring around the outdoor fire pit Wires hanging loose behind TVs Safe not secured to the wall (visible holes and screws where it had been attached to the wall) so it could just be picked up Pool maintenance issues, including loose filter covers and a protruding screw sticking up from the bottom on the pool Several toilets that didn’t flush properly or kept running Kitchen not properly equipped (no serving dishes, mismatched/chipped dinnerware, scratched plastic cups) Poor bui

We had an amazing trip to Costa Rica! I traveled in a group of 9 and the set up of the house was truly perfect for what we needed. I’ll start with the positives. Ricardo provided an amazing list of recommendations and suggestions which was very much appreciated! We enjoyed our massages that he set up, and our excursion, which he handled booking for us! Each room having its own bathroom was a huge plus! The lounge chairs on the turf were super comfy and a fun place for everyone to hangout. The couch in the living room and the movie theater was also a hit. The AC worked great! The views of the golf course were truly gorgeous. All of the rooms felt very clean upon arrive and each had plenty of space, also with amazing views. The Beach Club was absolutely stunning and you have access for only $5 per person, per day. I highly recommend taking advantage of this! Gorgeous beach, pool, bar and gym. The food that was provided was delicious! Unfortunately, we were quite surprised and disappoint

The home looks exactly like the listing, and everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The property can be a little tricky to find, so I’d recommend using Waze as your primary navigation if you’re renting a car. The staff, Eylin and Dunia, were absolutely wonderful. They cooked, cleaned, and took such thoughtful, kind care of us. We truly enjoyed having them with us. One tip: for any extras you arrange through the host (like in‑home massages), it’s best to tip in cash directly to the individuals at the end. We prepaid for some services and didn’t realize the tip wouldn’t go directly to the masseuse or staff, which made things a bit confusing. Ricardo was also very helpful in arranging tour guides and coordinating anything additional we needed throughout the week. We absolutely LOVED our stay, the people, and Costa Rica as a whole. It’s a beautiful country, and we had so much fun. We will definitely be back.

Ricardo was extremely flexible and helpful in helping us plan a stay to celebrate my daughter's wedding. He went above and beyond to accommodate some additional events and special details. I am very thankful and appreciative with their flexibility and willingness to create a very special trip for us. In terms of the house, it is showing it's age. Their was a blue hand print on the sofa and bed sheets thrown over stained outdoor cushions. The outdoor space is not unusable for eating as the chairs are way too short for the table. The surroundings throw A LOT of plant debris into the pool. Pool service was only provided twice during our stay and by the end the pool was unusable. House staff was friendly and breakfast is delicious! However, for many times throughout the day they would just make themselves at home on the living room sofa to scroll their phones. I didn't find this acceptable. A three star property with a five star price tag.

Ricardo did a great job helping us plan our vacation. He was very responsive and really stayed on top of getting everything arranged for us. We took advantage of some of his recommendations and were glad we did! The property is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Eylan cooked breakfast for us everyday and then prepared 3 dinners we chose to have at home. Daniela (JC) assisted her and then kept the kitchen clean and the rest of the house tidy. Both women were very friendly and helpful. The Beach Club was an added bonus for casual meals, the beach or lounging by the pool. Golf carts are all you need to get around in the community or to the JW Marriott, however, you will need a car (or arrange private transport) to go into Tamarindo, etc.

I literally cannot say enough good things about this trip and their entire team. Ricardo is an absolute gemming, helping us for 6 months to plan the most memorable trip for our party of 13. Every single detail was executed with care. Absolutely have Eylin and family as your onsite staff. They cooked incredibly delicious meal and made us feel like family. The beach club is to die for. The home is immaculate. I just cannot say enough good things. We will absolutely be back. Top 3 travel experiences of our lives!!!

I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a secure and private stay in Costa Rica! We were a group of 12 and were able to all fit very comfortably and enjoy the amenities of the home! Ricardo was great to coordinate transportation and meals with to make our stay extra easy. The property is very secure which makes you feel very safe and the house itself is very clean. I would especially recommend this for any large groups as the house was perfect and it was an easy 20 minute drive to the town with some bars and restaurants. Ricardo was attentive to our every need before and during our trip!

Overall, we had a great stay at the villa! Ricardo was great—attentive and helped us plan all excursions with shuttle, as well as private chefs. No transportation issues, contrary to other reviews. Eylin, the main staff member, was so kind and hardworking—cooking delicious meals, cleaning daily, and always going above and beyond. I cannot express how much we adored her. The property felt very safe, with strict security. We’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the second cleaner didn’t show up for the duration of our stay, leaving Eylin to manage everything alone. We think this made the cleanliness suffer slightly (the floors weren’t mopped, toilet paper wasn’t replaced unless we asked or grabbed it, kitchen chairs could use a wipe, movie room has cobwebs, etc.). Some small maintenance issues (musty smell in outer rooms, lukewarm showers, some wear and tear) and the villa wasn’t fully ready at check-in. But, overall beautiful, clean, and well-managed. Thanks for a wonderful time!
