We booked this place for our family (2 adults and a 2-year-old) for three nights but left after one. We expected a luxurious, comfortable retreat in nature, but it fell short. The house’s odd design—mostly open floors with no windows or doors except in the bedrooms—offers no escape from insects. There’s little to do besides swim in the Cenote, and the rough road makes driving to Tulum for entertainment unappealing. The main bedroom’s weak fan couldn’t handle the heat, making sleep tough. We also experienced a power outage so we lose internet for about an hour. It summary, the place is geared toward retreats and spiritual activities, not families. I would not recommend this place to anyone without interest in these types of activities. On the positive side, Oscar, the chef, was the highlight of our stay! He cooks delicious meals and is great at making cocktails too.
