This place is beautiful! My friends and I had a great time at Chayo's house. The photos don't do it justice. It's much prettier in person! Don Polo was super friendly and explained everything to us calmly. He gave us recommendations and was available for anything we needed. The rooms were impeccable, with AC, very spacious, and with large, comfortable beds. The bathrooms were also clean, with hot water and everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped, and they even gave us complimentary drinks. We had so much fun in the pool and jacuzzi. The area is quiet, but it's close to everything. We would definitely go back!

This place is awesome. It was tremendous to stay for our time in Puerto Vallarta. Say this: This is a tremendous deal for the location. We had six Division I football players on our trip, and it slept us comfortably. Two guys had to bunk together. For six days, the total was about $100 a night per person, which is great. Now I will also say this: there are no tourists around this area. I don't think I saw another American until we Ubered a little south to the nicer beaches. Now the pros are that you are very close to some great restaurants and will get an authentic Mexican experience. It's a safe area, and the villa is very nice, but it is very tall. Five stories straight up and not a ton of wiggle room, but the little rooftop pool and view make up for it. We had a private chef, a friend of the owners named Angel, come and cook for us in the house for breakfast and one dinner. I would recommend this, especially for breakfast, as it is convenient and relatively cheap. Good spot!

My group and I had the best experience at Javier’s. There was more than enough space for all of us and we very space was comfortable. Ideal for a large group. The rooftop was incredible, the kitchen on that level was so wonderful and Polo had it stocked with welcome margaritas, beers, sodas and waters. The water pressure in the showers was just great and Javier got us in touch with Chef Angel who made us daily breakfast and it was the best start to our day. The pool was cool and refreshing and plenty of space to lounge. We’d love to stay there again, Polo the house manager was so helpful and responsive. You’re in a great location.

Javier’s place was fantastic. The rooftop was amazing to watch the sunsets. They also let us drop our bags off earlier than check in so we could explore. Such a great place! 10/10 recommend!

Girls trip with 6 girls. So much space to relax and enjoy. The roof alone makes the house worth it, and the rest of the house is gorgeous as well. Polo was always responsive and helpful, water and ice were provided at the house. Restaurant across the street to order food and margaritas from. Neighborhood felt so safe and homey, and you're not a far walk from the beach and the Malecon. All of PV that we experienced felt so safe and was so fun. I would love to go back, and definitely recommend staying here!

The house is absolutely beautiful, every room is comfortable and private, with fans and AC and the ability to open windows and doors. The central part of the house is open and airy, it feels like it used to be a bed and breakfast since all the rooms are completely separate with their own bathrooms. Our family had a wonderful experience, the house was well-located between some of the best neighborhoods in the city. We went to Zona Romántica for tourist activities, and Versalles for dinner each night. We had a car which was helpful since PV has a lot of hills! But this felt like a real home. Polo made us feel 100% welcome and provided everything we needed. We had a party of 5 adults and 4 kids which is stressful when traveling, but this house was a perfect refuge after a long day of exploring. Highly recommend.

This house exceeded all of our expectations. It is hard to tell from the pictures just how amazing this property is. We stayed the majority of the time on the terrace upstairs in the pool and making margs in the kitchen upstairs. Beyond the property itself, Javier and his team went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They gave us recommendations, a house tour, and also brought more bottles of water and ice when needed. Truly a wonderful experience!

We rented Javier's place for a bachelorette weekend, and it did not disappoint! There was ample space for 9 women, and the rooftop pool/tub was a dream. Javier's house manager, Paulo, was very communicative and gave us some great recommendations. There was even a restaurant across the street that delivered us a wonderful meal and multiple rounds of margaritas. I highly recommend!

I stayed with my family in this great place! Parking, all bedrooms with full bathrooms, jacuzzi and pool. The house is super close to the sea and restaurants. Very attentive, and they also included amenities in the accommodation. Great stay, we would definitely come back, plus the price is worth the entire stay. Thank you for everything.

Our family had a great Christmas at Javier’s home, all bedrooms had comfortable king beds and bathrooms, and were separated nicely so the children’s noise did not disturb other family members. Nice indoor/outdoor house, lots of areas to sit around. The pool area is terrific, good views, lots of chairs and loungers, and kitchen area. Our 2 year old grandchildren had lots of fun and space. Short walk to beach, but steep cobble road hill to get home, although uber price low if you do not want to walk. Recommend staying here for large family.

10 of us loved our stay at Javier's house. Polo was there to meet us when we arrived and made us comfortable right away. We had sent a shopping list to Javier and found the kitchen stocked with food and drinks. The house is beautiful and well-located, although the last 2 blocks are up a steep hill. But that's why there's a great view of the ocean from the upper deck pool. We loved the pool and 2nd kitchen on that deck. In fact, we had Chef Angel (a recommendation from Javier) cook us a 4-course dinner that we enjoyed on the pool deck. The bedrooms are very comfortable and all are air conditioned, though a few of us found the mattresses a bit firm (I didn't). Polo was a great resource for anything we needed--he always responded quickly. He and Alejandro came every other day to water plants and tend to the pool as needed. Both are very friendly. We celebrated 2 birthdays while there and couldn't imagine a better place to have them than at Javier's and in PV!

La Casa de Chayo was the perfect stay for our time in Puerto Vallarta! Javier was beyond accommodating to ours needs and ensured we would be well taken care of. Polo, the house manager, was a friendly face at check-in and throughout our stay. The private suites made it comfortable for our large party and we enjoyed the sunshine and sunsets on the beautiful patio. Definitely a gem!

Came here with 6 other friends to celebrate a milestone birthday over a long weekend and could not have picked a better place. The whole building is gorgeous, close and walkable to everything you would want to see in PV, but still in a quiet neighborhood and private. The entire experience was very luxe, for example, we opted to arrange for a private chef for our welcome dinner recommended by Javier and it was great! Lots of stairs to get between the levels in the house, but honestly, it helped to work off all the delicious tacos! Would definitely come back again!

Javier and Polo were very communicative and extremely helpful. Anytime we needed anything they had it handled within an hour. They also recommended an amazing chef service with Angel — his food was phenomenal. And polo went above and beyond when we left an item in the room, and he drove 15 minutes to meet us and give it to us before we got to our next destination. Thank you for an amazing stay, would definitely come back!

Javier's house was so beautiful! The home was so big and fit all my friends comfortably, the AC was wonderful and the wifi worked great. My friends were able to get out of the house and easily walk for a bite or shopping since this house is very central. 10/10 recommend! -A

Hosted my best friends bachelorette weekend at this beautiful villa. We had the best time, the house was HUGE, the location was perfect and super close to everything. Polo and Fer were also so helpful! One of my girls got strep throat the first night and the guys were so accommodating with helping us find a pharmacy. Extremely thankful they stopped by in the mornings to help or ask if we needed anything.

Polo gave us great recommendations upon arrival and even let us stay a little after check out due to late flights. The area is extremely walkable, close to the beach and tons of restaurants. The location is great! There are fantastic restaurants walking distance. The property is great and very much exceeded the expectations. Something to keep in mind is that all the common areas are outside and it’s in the middle of the city. So at night you have to be conscious of the noise…

Seven friends met at this gorgeous house for a wonderful weekend. The host had his team there waiting for us when we arrived. They helped unpack the car and gave us an informative tour of the home. The house is amazing: big enough for each of us to have some privacy, but with several spaces for us to congregate. The rooftop pool, bar/lounge was an excellent place to catch-up and relax....what a view!! The house is within walking distance to countless restaurants and bars. We had a blast!! I hope we can come back next year. A++

AMAZING AIRBNB! * UBER cheapest and best way to get around. (From airport walk out of the Airport and cross the street to call Uber) *You can find a Costco near Airbnb (We stopped off before we arrived at Javier's place) *Polo, was waiting for us when we arrive to let us in, give us a tour of the place, and give us 2 sets of keys. (I recommend that you asked for more sets of keys, so that everyone has there own set) *Javier and Polo were both so nice and hospitable our entire stay ! Polo came by daily to check to see if we needed anything. (I was very impressed how quickly Javier responded to me the entire 6 months prior to my reservation, up to the day I arrived!) *This Cinco de Mayo neighborhood is close to a variety of shops, restaurants/cafes, pharmacies, haircuts (I found haircuts for 70 & 95 pesos. Javier’s place was the perfect spot for a bachelorette of 6. We felt very safe in the neighborhood it was a 5-10 min uber ride to el malecón and zona romántica. It was very clean, and felt perfect to relax and unwind. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone to stay here.

Beautiful home. We had a bachelorette with 10 people and all enjoyed our stay. The upstairs pool area is wonderful and the house manager, Polo, was extremely helpful and responsive. There are working air conditioners in all the rooms which was necessary for how hot and humid it was. We would stay here again!

Everything was clean when we arrived. The rooftop pool was so fun to hang out in. I couldn’t recommend Chef Angel and his team more! He cooked breakfasts, dinners and lunches for us and we were all more than satisfied with his delicious food and friendly service. It is worth every penny to stay here and to hire Chef Angel and his team for meals. I will always recommend to anyone who visit PV to stay at this Airbnb and I hope when I visit again I can stay here once more. We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning Airbnb and we were not disappointed. From the breathtaking views to the incredibly comfortable beds, everything was perfect. The property was impeccably clean, and its proximity to hidden gem restaurants made dining out a delightful experience. Polo and Alex were exceptional hosts, addressing any issues we had promptly, regardless of the time. Javier's recommendations of a private chef was a highlight of our trip - the culinary experience was phenomenal. While we regret not being able to visit the Chef's Restaurant, Casa 449, it is on our list for when we return and we will be back. The private rooftop pool was unbeatable and provided the serene escape we all needed.

The rooftop was great and the whole place felt like a mini private hotel. Someone came everyday to take out the trash and they also provided some drinks in the rooftop fridge which was a nice surprise. We came to this Airbnb for a bachelorette party and felt very well taken care of. The location was great — super easy to walk to cafes, food, a gym nearby and calling Ubers to other areas was also super convenient. The thing that stood out the most for our stay was how caring and attentive the hosts were the entire time. We had some issues when the city had a temporary water shortage and Polo and his team were extremely responsive and communicative, even coming over late in the evening and early in the mornings to help get things figured out for us. For our large family gathering, the accommodations were perfect! The rooms were private and the common areas perfect for gathering to celebrate the 80th birthday for Dad/Papa. Alexa had arranged for us to be met at the airport and the staff did an outstanding job, greeting us with cold refreshments and making our arrival very smooth. Polo greeted us at the door and gave us a tour of the expansive home, all the way up to the gorgeous rooftop pool area, with stunning views of the city. We walked or Uber'd everywhere without any issues. The casa was a perfect location for several adventures during the week. We cannot wait to return. Cheers to Javier and the entire crew!

This was THE MOST PERFECT place to go for my bachelorette with 8 other friends. I wanted an amazing home base where we could enjoy just being there and then walk/uber to nearby restaurants/bars. We booked Javier’s house to celebrate a big birthday. There were 8 adults and one child. The house looked just as the pictures showed. It was amazing! We didn’t want to leave. We hired a few chefs that provided dinners on the rooftop while the sun was setting. Javier helped us with all transportation and made other local recommendations. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This house is incredible. My family of 7 stayed here to celebrate my sister's birthday and we had an amazing time. The area the house is located in is extremely walkable but it takes a lot of will power to leave the house since the house is so beautiful and relaxing. the rooftop views are stunning and being able to lounge in the pool under the stars is a small piece of heaven. Javier was very responsive leading up to the trip and during. Water was shut off for the house when we got back and after I texted Javier someone came over to resolve the issue and it was fixed in under an hour. Can't recommend this house strongly enough.

This place is incredible! Walking distance to some great places including a great spot across the street! Now, this place is on top of a hill so if walking if your place, be ready. Not only is the space awesome- the staff is awesome! We had a major home-related issue arise our first morning. As all home owners know, things happen. No big deal. But, the local manager was so quick to response, and the maintenance staff was so quick to fix the problem that by the time we came back from breakfast, it was solved. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to vacation in PV! Would definitely return 😀

This was a WONDERFUL home!! A beautiful 5 story Mexican villa. It is very well built, furnished, and has beautiful plants trickled throughout the home. Each room is on its own floor or evenly spaced so it feels very private. The open air concept is amazing and makes it feel very fresh and open. However, if you wanna coup up in the room with the AC pumping, that’s an option too!! We LOVED the rooftop, it’s where we spent most of our time. The little store/restaurant next door is vital for a quick bite or drink. THANK YOU TO JAVIER FOR A WONDERFUL STAY!

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect-easy to walk to downtown and Zona Romantica. There’s a store and a restaurant literally across the street with fresh tasty food -we ended up going there a lot. The rooms were all super comfortable and well set up, and the way they’re split between levels worked great for our group. We spent so much time on the rooftop terrace and in the pool; both were beautiful, and everything was cleaned every morning, which was awesome. The host and caretakers were accessible and made everything easy. The whole place is gorgeous with plants everywhere, and there’s even a basement and wine cellar if you want to do a unique dinner setup. We were a group of couples and singles in our 30s and 40s, and this spot was perfect for us. The sunsets were unreal—we didn’t want to leave and would definitely stay here again!

this place is absolutely beautiful with such a gorgeous view of the beach . Everything is relatively close, only about 20mins from the airport and about 10mins to the boardwalk , Ubers had no trouble finding the house and we’re great as well. Javier was so friendly and helpful, and responded within reasonable amount of time ! all his staff were wonderful. I would definitely love staying here again and 100% recommend 😊

We completed our 19 day stay at La Casa de Chayo. Javier, Polo and the whole team we're awesome. We connected through the app when we needed extra anything, they had it there or came by quickly. The house is as good or better than the pictures and the views are breathtaking. Having a restaurant and tienda across the street was so helpful for any last minute thing we needed or a meal. Each of the 5 rooms had a different personality and I was curious to see how it was laid out from the pictures. What I found cool was how you had privacy in your room or could hang out in the communal areas like the kitchen, 3rd floor or the roof top. We spent many evenings watching the sunset from the pool before or after dinner. Lots of great food options close by. The 5CD neighborhood is authentic and exactly what were were looking for. Thanks to the team and we'll be back!

Stayed here with a group of 5 friends ! Each of us had our own room and practically our own floor. Extremely spacious comfy home. The style of the home makes you feel right at home. We enjoyed the kitchen space on the second floor! Great for poker night and a fam dinner. The rooftop was awesome ! Great pool and station to make drinks. We enjoyed every room, the ac was blasting cold ! We are definitely looking forward to coming back. The staff and host were all amazing. They were very professional and kind. This villa is so unique and beautiful, I highly recommend for family vacations or work retreats. The location is so close to the beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. I definitely would book again for future trips.

This house is amazing! My group of 9 was so comfortable the entire trip here - it was almost hard to leave to do activities. The roof deck was a peaceful retreat, and we spent a lot of time hanging out there. Each room was super comfy and well appointed, with private bathrooms that had great water pressure. Air conditioning was strong and cooled bedrooms quickly. Note that the home has several levels and many stairs - it also sits atop a hill that was a bit of a hike up, but easily accessible by car or bike (we rented scooters). The views are worth the hill. The host was very communicative and we greatly appreciated the flexibility on check-in and check-out. Will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend for groups.

Javier’s place was more than I could ever expect! It was clean, beautiful, and incredibly well equipped. We had more than enough space and privacy for our group of 10. The rooftop pool allowed for us to enjoy the majestic sunset each night. The check-in was smooth with someone at the house ready to greet us and show us the ins and outs of the house which was greatly appreciated.

Truly fantastic airbnb. It is better than even the photos depict. The rooftop is stunning- we spent every morning and evening there. Javier and his team were extremely responsive and accommodating. He suggested chef Angel who did a wonderful job. Walkable to the beach and restaurants.

When I saw this place I knew this was it. Absolutely one of THE BEST airbnbs I have ever stayed at! We had such a fantastic time here for my Bachelorette weekend. The Villa was stunning, great views, location, amenities, and lots of flair! It used to be a boutique hotel and we loved having it all to ourselves. Host was amazing, very responsive and even helped us with groceries! 10/10 recommend

We celebrated a milestone birthday with a small group of friends. I could not recommend Javier's place at Casa de Chayo any more for your next stay in PV. The villa is incredible and somehow even better than the photos. There is plenty of space to relax with peace and quiet or enjoy yourself on the rooftop terrace. There are multiple spaces in the villa and on the terrace to host a dinner. Javier was an incredible host with recommendations for things to do and vendors to work with for our birthday dinner at the villa. The villa is well situated in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood and close to everything you want to see. Don't go any further and just book this Airbnb!

Great house! A lot of open space! Pool is really nice! Check in and check out are very smooth.

This place looks EXACTLY like the photos if not better. It’s uphill and you’ll get a workout but as long as you’re in decent shape, everything is walkable. Even the Malecón. Javier and his crew had plenty of water, drinks and snacks ready for us upon arrival. The building is secure with triple locked front doors. Simple check-in and check-out. Highly recommended.

Really extraordinary 5-level house about 7 blocks from the beach, with wonderful open air feel and incredible rooftop deck with pool, multiple dining tables, kitchen, hammock, and amazing view of the water and the city. Amazing indoor/outdoor flow throughout and interesting and functional layout. Used to be a boutique hotel, now one big rental. This was our first time in PV so we learned a few things - namely the beach isn’t really swimmable until a couple of miles further south, and there it’s quite crowded, so it did not end up being a draw for us. Also PV is not a quiet city, and even in the relatively quiet neighborhood where this is located there is considerable noise. But we didn’t find it unpleasant and we and our kids ages 3, 7, and 11 all slept well. (AC in every bedroom helped.). Kitchen is a little cramped if you’re really cooking for yourself, which we were (two families), but had all the things we needed. Javier is an incredibly responsive and gracious host.
