The property is fantastic. It looks good in the photos, but in person, it's much better. Very memorable, actually! I'd be back without a problem!

This place was absolutely perfect. The staff were great friendly, attentive, and made the whole stay smooth. The scenery was beautiful and the property itself was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay. I wish they can keep this a hidden gem and just rent it out to returning guests.

Beautiful home with stunning ocean views. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. We didn’t walk the hill, as it was too hot, but it wasn’t an issue for us to call taxi or Uber. We took a day trip to Sayulita which was so fun and the restaurant at the botanical gardens is not to be missed. Do not hesitate booking this amazing home.

I could not recommend this home more. Whether you are with friends or family this serene escape is a villa compared to no others! The infinity pool was where we spent most of our time, but the additional downstairs unit with a pool table was a huge hit! We cannot wait to come back one day :)

An incredible house both architecturally and visually with views that are absolutely stunning. Impossible for the pictures to do it justice. We stayed for 4 nights and are a family of 5. Our three kids each had their room in the downstairs area and the main room upstairs meant the configuration really fitted us well. The hot tub and pool must have some of the best views in the world and what we really appreciated was not just the ocean views, but the fact that you are in the tree canopy as well. Multiple species of birds easily visible from all levels of the house. The house is very conveniently located to the beach as we had our own vehicle which made things easy. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave.

This place was everything as described and more! There are really few words to describe waking up to the view at a place like this! Communication from the host was very quick, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the place was clean and equipped with everything we needed. About a 30 min drive to PV - this was the perfect escape from the city (but still very accessible to get to for dinners and such)! Never had a problem with getting Ubers/Taxis to the place. Our group will certainly be back again!!

Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. We were at the end of Whale season and we were able to see Whales from our patio everyday. The house is 4 stories, so there are a lot of steep concrete stairs. The chef service was delicious (especially the Salsas), but it is plated, not served family style. You are in the Jungle so there are lots of birds/animals you can view right outside. You are also on top of the hill/mountain, so the walk down to the Beach is very steep. Took about 15 minutes (100% downhill) to walk to the beach. Overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend.

Cannot recommend this place enough and the amazing team that makes it all happen!Situated at the top of the hill offered extreme privacy and unreal views. We got to see the whales breaching everyday from the infinity pool. Short walk to the beach and taxis easily available. Roscia and her family went above and beyond to ensure the house was stocked with everything we needed and fresh, authentic cooking every meal! Don’t hesitate & book this paradise!

We (5 women) just returned from 7 days at Casa Matuta! We had such an incredible stay. The house was absolutely beautiful along with the views. We opted to use the chef services for breakfast and most dinners. Rocia's cooking was incredible, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. We also had the luxury of having massages by Rocia which were incredible. The walk down to the beach was harder then we thought, steep cobblestone. There is a taxi stand right at the bottom of the hill and they were always available to take us back up when we wanted. The beach wasn't a typical beach you would see in the Caribbean. Lots fishing boats in the water so not great for swimming. Didn't bother us as we spent most of our days at the pool. We chose to go out for dinner a few nights into Neuvo Vallarta which was a 15-20min taxi. Wasn't much in walking distance for a nice restaurant/meal. Britt was very accessible and helped us with anything we needed. Highly recommend.

Bobby and Britt were great hosts! Super flexbile and accommodating for our group and allowed us to check-in early with our luggage. Place had immaculate views, clean and exactly as described. Very private location from all the hustle and bustle that it allowed us to escape from reality yet still have a very homey feeling. Would highly recommend their place to anyone wanting to experience Puerto Vallarta and Mismaloya!

Amazing house, great staff, great location! We cant say enough about the experience! Add in Rocio's cooking, massages and margs, her dad's fishing/snorkeling tour, the local horse back tour and street taco's at the bottom of the street. This is one you wont forget!

Palabras nos faltamos - Chef Rosio, her food and massages were the best. Rosa was the best. The view was the best. The pool was the best. We had a marvelous time! Exactly the vacation we were looking for.

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations! I had my bachelorette here and the hosts went above and beyond helping us plan the whole thing including activities! They even hopped on a couple of calls with my friends who were putting together the whole weekend for me. The private chefs were so friendly and the food was incredible. The views are even better than what the pictures show. I can’t wait to come back.

The house is awesome, amazing views from every room. Bobby was able to arrange for groceries to be delivered prior to our arrival as well!

So true what others have written about this gorgeous gem of a house. Photos do not do it justice. The Views, the Mountains, the Birds, the Flora, the Food, the tasteful decorations and Art, the Infinity Pool and the perfect Hot Tub. Really, for our family of 10 including 4 grand kids, it was a magical and memorable week. The massages were perfection. The food from our Chef delicious. We toured on a boat along the coast and to a large waterfall with Enrique. We fished on another day [ Yum >>> on the grill that night, although we also used some for Ceviche. ] Do note that it is a steep cobblestone walk down from this beautifully perched house in a gated hillside community to the local Mismaloya Beach. That said, it is less than $5 to take a taxi back up to the house if desired. If you seek a true getaway, where the house is its own destination, this is certainly your kind of place. I can't overstate how fun and relaxing this was.

Beautiful home perched high above the little town of Mismaloya. You definitely won’t want to leave! All the staff were wonderful to work with and very responsive to our needs. We had massages and meals - all of which were wonderful. Don’t hesitate to have them shop for you, they do a great job and are very fair and transparent with costs. Once there, we wished we had pool floats, but they found one for us to share. If you plan to hang out at home, bring some for your group - the view from the water is amazing!!

Beyond all expectation. A simply stunning property, rare to find… With a few refinements could easily become an Airbnb Luxe property.

Magical! While the photos are representative, they do not do this place justice. The view of the bay is panoramic. The chef, masseuse, and house staff exceeded all expectations! I cannot say enough about the experience we had. You do not need to leave this place if you do not want! Highly recommend everything!!!

Booked Casa Matuta for a 30th birthday trip with a group of friends in Puerto Vallarta - would highly recommend! This house is a true hidden gem, especially if you are a design enthusiast in search of your own private oasis with breathtaking ocean views. The house is spacious, has a speaker system to play music inside & by the pool, and is a convenient walk to Mismaloya Beach. The property manager Britt is extremely responsive and made the trip logistics a seamless experience. If you are looking for a boat ride to explore the nearby sights of Los Arcos, Las Ánimas, etc - Rocio and Britt put us in touch with Enrique who took us out on the water for a very reasonable price. If you're looking to get a house with friends for a trip to Puerto Vallarta - this is an excellent option. Having the assistance of Britt & Rocio took out the stress of having to research and plan excursions - it was like having a travel guide at our fingertips. Gracias Britt & team for a fabulous trip!

Recently enjoyed 9 days at this beautiful property enjoying the birds, whales, spectacular views and the company of Chef Rocio and Enrique. Chef Rocio cooked us many great meals and we went fishing with Enrique twice. Caught more fish than we could eat after they made us fresh ceviche and dinners with our catch. Everyone was very helpful and responsive through out our stay. Chef Rocio even picked us up pizza for us and helped us when our airport transfer driver got lost. Britt the property manager quickly helped us with any questions and even a couple of extra hair dryers. Rosa cleaned while we were there. Note for future, don't forget to close the door to the first floor at night or the Coati will visit. Sorry Rosa! Hope to see them again as Casa Matuta!

This place was absolutely perfect! The views were breathtaking. The beds were super comfy, and the house was very clean. The host went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. Lastly, the staff is amazing. I highly recommend the massages and meals by Rocio. We loved this place and definitely recommend it. A heartfelt thank you to the host for making our stay so wonderful!

We travel to Puerto Vallarta a couple times a year and enjoy a beautiful pool with a view along with feeling private in a jungle like setting. This got high marks in those categories and was stylishly decorated too with all the amenities your needed. My wife and I will definitely be back and likely bring other couples too as the place has 4 very large bedrooms and a game room on the lower level. Our communication with the owner/manager was superb too. Overall a very positive experience in a fabulous Villa.

We just got back from a wonderful week at Robert's place. The pictures do not do this house justice. The views were absolutely incredible and we saw whales every day laying by the pool. What truly made the house stand out was the staff - they were the nicest, most accommodating people I have ever met on vacation. Rocio and Lupe grocery shopped and cooked for us - all the meals were absolutely delicious. They also came to the house twice to do massages, which were incredible! Rosa, the housekeeper was so sweet and thorough every time she came to the house. The greatest part was that they truly cared about us and that we were having a good time. We opted to rent the boat as well for 4 hours. The boat was great, and our captain Jose, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The only part I would recommend changing is having an exact meet up location as the marina is massive and it took us an hour to figure it out. In all, would go back 100%!

Roccio, Lupe, Carla, Enrique and Brittan were amazing to work with. Their cooking skills were off of the charts and their professionalism was top notch. They shopped for our group before we arrived and so our vacation began as soon as we walked in the door. We had breakfast each morning and had 5 nights of dinners. All of it was divine! The housekeeper, Rosa, was wonderful, too. She came 4 times during our stay and made everyone feel like They were at home. Britt is the property manager and she answered every question that we had, immediately. She wanted to make sure that our experience was positive. This house is gorgeous but, the staff makes the stay, what it is… Casa Matute is blessed with their crew.

Great experience! The property and the staff were amazing. We had five amazing massages on the balconies. I will definitely visit here again. Amazing place to relax and destress. If you want to get away from the hustle of daily life, I would definitely recommend this place to stay

This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The patio overlooking the ocean is incredible. Service was great. I would definitely stay again.

Prior to arriving @ Casa Mutate we took the opportunity to fill out grocery list, meal & activity preferences online. Groceries are stocked when you arrive & you pay for them & alcohol +$50. Make sure you have CASH, either Dollars or Pesos are fine but get cash before you get to the house. Rocio & her mother Lupe are the amazing women that cook the meals you select & they are the massage therapists as well. Their English is limited, use Translate app. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos, breakfast chilaquiles, ceviche & vegetarian chilie rellenos! There’s wine at the house but it costs $25 per bottle so you would do better to add it to your grocery list. The walk to the beach is not too far but it’s a very steep climb back up. We recommend Froy w/VIP Transportation for your taxi needs, he speaks excellent English too. Paddle Zone on the beach is excellent for kayak tours (try the sunrise tour). Casa Mutate is an incredible place for a trip of a lifetime!

This house is a hidden gem. Lots of space for one or two families, a really nice pool, and incredible views. The pictures don’t do justice to the views or the general quality of the house. Rocio took fantastic care of us. Her ceviche is too good. We can’t wait to come back.

This home exceeded expectations. The view is amazing and everything was on point! The pool and spa were the perfect temperature. Everything worked flawlessly in the home. The beds were as comfortable as our own home and far better than most any hotel or Airbnb. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a visit. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks to the team!

This place is just incredible! The House itself is beautiful, in a private and safe community just a 10 minute walk to the beach. The View is insane! Front row ocean views from almost every room! The Infinity pool and hot tub were beyond relaxing. We just loved our experience. The House is spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. The hosts were communicative, kind and incredibly accommodating. And the housekeeper was amazing, just beyond kind. Thank you Robert for such an amazing stay!!

We were a large group of ladies escaping for a weekend getaway. We found this house to be over the top beautiful and suited every need that we required. We went with the chef who prepared us amazing meals and best of all no cooking or cleaning for any of us!! The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome at home. The excursion out on the boat was unbelievable from the whale watching, dolphins, snorkelling , and another great meal. We would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to book again!!
