Great house and host. Very quick on communications and the welcome Mezcal bottle was the perfect start to the vacation. The lady who was there cleaning the house was very helpful with recommendations and keeping the house very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at casa Rufina. The house was so beautiful & clean. The rooftop was magnificent. Every room was so comfy & we just felt right at home. Sofia & Beatriz were so easy to communicate with & had so many amazing recommendations for dinner & fun things to do. I highly recommend staying here. You truly can’t find a better place to stay in Oaxaca. Thank you both for everything!!

This place was spectacular! We had 3 couples and 3 singles and all thought the pictures did not do the place justice and loved that each room had its own bathroom. Also, the housekeepers were great. In short, we loved the place, and the location was quiet but well situated in centro so everything was close. We couldn’t be happier with our stay here!

The home itself is a gem—beautifully decorated, with every detail carefully considered. We loved discovering all the cozy corners, each perfect for a quiet coffee or joyful conversation. It truly felt like a space made for connection and memory-making. And the location couldn’t have been better—just steps away from two incredible restaurants, EDO OMAKASE and Adamá, and within walking distance to great coffee spots, local shopping, downtown, and even more amazing food. Stay here! The pictures do not do justice to the space. We were a group of nine, and the layout was perfect for gatherings, but also had plenty of space for each of us to have some alone time. We loved the upper terrace, with the pool. Used the terrace every night! And perfectly located…we could walk to everything. Host was incredibly responsive to all of our questions. We did not want to leave, but will definitely stay here again.

Perfect floor plan for our large party of nine. The rooftop pool and bar space with views of the mountains in the distance was enjoyed by all. The home was kept immaculate during our stay by daily visits and all needs were promptly addressed. As others have said, it’s an excellent location, walkable to all of the central without being in the middle of it all. This is an ideal retreat in the heart of the town.

Unbelievable house, incredible location and exceptional customer service from the hosts! The house is equivalent to a boutique hotel, only better. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms and every corner of the property were immaculate. The location was in the middle of the city center, all major sites are easily walked to, but you can’t hear anything from the outside! Their recommendations for tour guides, sites to see, drivers and even medical services (we had some people get sick 😢) we’re exceptional. Sofia made our visit a trip of a lifetime and when we return to Oaxaca we will absolutely stay here again! Thank you for your incredible hospitality ♥️

We were very comfortable, I really liked the terrace they have where it's cool at night and you can have a good time.

The house is even more stunning in person than the pictures show. Everything is so tastefully decorated, and all the rooms are spacious and have private bathrooms. The rooftop pool was a perfect spot for relaxing in the afternoon heat, and the location is unbeatable. I would absolutely book this place again.

The house is so artfully designed and decorated. The location is amazing. Despite being close to everything it was quiet. We lived our stay. We even got lucky with parking on the street close to the entrance.

My friends and I (group of 7) came to Oaxaca as part of my 40th birthday celebration and enjoyed an incredible stay at Casa Rufina. The photos don't really do the house justice, which feels like a private hotel. The interiors are exceptionally well-designed and chic. The kitchen is well-appointed (although we didn't need it much because Oaxaca Centro, with all its delicious restaurants, is only a few minutes walk away). Each bedroom has an en-suite, which my friends loved, and the rooftop pool and bar were a perfect gathering place for sunset drinks before heading out for the night. The house staff were present and visible in the house during the day (usually starting around 9am) cleaning. We all agreed after several nights stay at Casa Rufina that we can't wait to come back. Highly recommend for a group.

Sofia’s home was incredible for our big group of friends celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. Everything was very high quality, and the rooms/bathrooms were well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Daily cleaning services by Gema and her friendly team were much appreciated. Walkable to all main points of interest and restaurants in the city. Rooftop pool was relaxing and has a great view of mountains to the west and north. Sofia had exquisite chocolates waiting for us, and even had more delivered upon request! Plenty of filtered water jugs for drinking, and on-site filtration system meant sink/shower water was compatible with our foreign stomachs as well. Absolutely perfect accommodations, and we would love to stay here again on a return trip!

Casa Rufina is an absolute gem. Perfect location, amenities, comfortable, spotless. I could go on and on. Highly recommend.

The house was amazing!! Great house for group of friends, everyone had their own room and bathroom. The house was walking distance from everything but still tucked away to escape the nightlife noise.

Amazing property in a fantastic location. Sofia was super responsive and even gave us recommendations of things to do in and around Oaxaca. The place is spacious, clean, and large enough that we could all hang out in communal spaces together or do our own thing and still be in the same house. The neighborhood is lovely and walkable too. Literally everything is walking distance. It's really perfect for a group trip! We just felt very welcome and look forward to going back to Oaxaca as we felt we have a home away from home.

We had an amazing stay. The house was great and Sofia was extremely helpful in assisting with with anything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here and would absolutely stay here again.

I can't say enough about how great Sofia and this home is. Perfectly located, not too close and not too far from the city center. So its peaceful when you want to rest but yet close to the action if that's what your feeling. Fun fact: Nacho Libre was filmed around this location. We even watched the movie when we found that out which made the experience even better. It has family area with a large TV where we all watched the movie and had an awesome time. Coffee shops are all around as well as restaurants. The home is beautiful all three stories of it and all the rooms were perfect. The plunge pool was a bit small but we made it work and helped refresh us after a hot summer night in Oaxaca.

beautiful stay! the house is very nice and comfortable, and rooftop plunge pool is perfect on a hot day. the AC in the bedrooms was really necessary and appreciated. the house has an interesting open and airy design with lots of sunroofs to let light in throughout

Sofia is very communicative. The casa was perfect for our group as each one of us had our own private room and bathroom. House was beautifully decorated with a great flow over the 3 floors. Highly recommend!!

Really fantastic stay- right in the heart of everything.

Casa Rufina is a dream! It was a beautiful oasis for my family and me. Each room could adjust the AC to their liking and the rooftop pool was such a good vibe. It has a great location - a little away from the center. But the walk in is pleasant and the street Casa Rufina is on is much quieter. Also, there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and stores very close. Would recommend to any larger group!

Casa Rufina is as described. Since we arrived, Gema welcomed us with the house spotless and so kept it throughout the stay. The house is divine and in a great location. The terrace and pool area is pure serenity. We are delighted and we'll be back soon!

Sofia’s place was great for our group of friends! We’ve been to oaxaca several times and stayed in different areas. The location of casa rufina is perfectly central while just off the main drag on a quiet, secluded street. The architecture of the house and design within it are incredible. It’s spacious and well maintained with the daily cleaning staff. We struggled a bit figuring out the code on the door at check-in but outside of that everything was perfect! Sofia and Ruben were super helpful when we had questions and attentive to our needs. We’ll be back!

We were visiting Oaxaca for a team gathering and Sofia's place was such a great find! It was centrally located, very well decorated and super clean. We needed some extra help at a very short notice and Sofia organized it for us and was very gracious about everything. She even let our team have a late checkout on the last day, as we had no other place to check into and it was very very kind of her. Thank you so much for everything!

Immaculate decorations, comfortable and perfect for large groups. Roof top patio and outdoor space with hot tub was fantastic. The only watch out is laundry - we are used to large Airbnbs having available washer and dryers for use. Laundry service is available for a fee (this is in the airbnb listing description but we missed it and it was quite pricey) We would absolutely stay again and recommend!

Everything was fantastic. Except Couple things that I don’t like was the increased the price. We rented the house with 6 rooms included. Obviously I invited 5 couples. The hosts told me that after 10 people is an extra charge of 1,600.00 US dollars. My friends and I bean using airbnb and we never experienced that kind of thing. The second thing was the cameras inside of the house. I have to cover 3of them. I believe is illegal. Privacy is the gold rule.

Excellent option to get to Oaxaca, we were a group of 5 adult couples, we had an excellent time in the house, it is very nice, spacious, spacious and very clean, the location is very good you can walk to anywhere in the center of Oaxaca, I highly recommend it, we would always arrive at that house again... in addition, Sofia the Host is very friendly and helpful, the doubts I had was very kind and helpful, the doubts I had was attended to very quickly ... thank you very much for everything

Great house! Beautiful and very well located, clean and with very, very nice finishes! Overall, the house looks and is the same or better than the photos. Welcome kit, daily cleaning, super clean sheets and bathrooms, fresh and clean towels! Beatriz and Sofía are very good. I would add Trío as well. Sofía sometimes takes time to respond, but she's always friendly! The only thing I didn't like is that there are 3 cameras in the entrance, another camera in the kitchen, and another camera in the dining room outside. Of the bedrooms and another room in the family room... It made us feel watched and a little uncomfortable, although I was advised that there were cameras. Yes, I would definitely come back with some post-its for the cameras :P Thank you for such a beautiful stay and service! I highly recommend!

My friends and I loved staying at Casa Rufina! It's beautiful, clean, and central to many restaurants, shops, and nightlife in the Oaxaca city center. The daily cleaning service was really helpful in keeping the space spotless. The jacuzzi was perfect for when it got a little cooler at night. Sofia kindly scheduled taxis for all of us when we needed to depart. We would definitely book our stay here if we visited Oaxaca again!

Sofia's place was great! They were really good about helping me with transportation to the airport, food delivery instructions on my 1st night, very responsive at all hours of the day & night. Place was beautifully decorated. They truly deserve the title of Superhost!

The house is absolutely beautiful and has a very fresh feeling. The space allows you the opportunity to be outside while maintaining privacy. Located a short walk from the city, the area is more quiet than the central area but offers nice restaurants and shops within blocks. My only criticism is the laundry. It is not open to the guests and the cost to have the maid do even a few t-shirts was astronomically high. Since the cost of the maid is presumably part of the cost of the house, there should be some laundry included in the fee - we felt a little nickle an dimed by this. Otherwise, the house is truly a luxury stay.

Wow. Just wow. We had a big group in for a long weekend and Sofia’s place was literal perfection. The space is beautiful and functional and great for big groups. Great combination of common spaces and privacy of bedrooms with own baths. Sofia was a great host and we are already looking forward to our next trip Oaxaca.

It's a very nicely appointed property, a step up above to your average Airbnb. Fantastic location, few blocks walk from downtown and close by to great restaurants. We'd rent it again in our next trip to Oaxaca.

The house is perfect for business and pleasure. 6 bedrooms with their own bathroom. Spacious, clean and perfectly located near the center of the city. I will be back many times.

5 stars. The place is beautiful, clean, and has plenty of room. The location is excellent. Sofia responded to any questions we had, and offered options for picking us up from the airport and local excursions. We would stay here again, no doubt.

Very wonderful house in Oaxaca

This is one of the best AirBnb's I have ever stayed in!! I went with my work team, and we all could not have been more blown away with the house, Sofia, and the resources she happily provided us with. We all are already talking about when we are going back! Such a treat to be able to stay in this incredibly safe and clean home <3 perfecto!

Stunning is an understatement! This villa is simply magical! Simplicity and luxury wrapped around 3 1/2 levels of indoor/outdoor living space, breathtaking architecture with a polished presence. We had 12 adults, in Oaxaca for a wedding, and we lived very comfortable for 5 beautiful days. The en suite in every room is definitely a top selling point. The neighborhood was within walking distance to every event we attended and the heart of downtown Oaxaca. The 9 - 5 staff attended to our every need. They were always there, but never in the way. If you are hesitant, book this property. You won't be disappointed! We promise to be back soon! Thank you Sofia!

The place is emasculate, and the design is beautiful. This is probably the nicest place I have stayed in. Gemma, the wonderful woman who made up the rooms every day, was so kind and helpful. The only discrepancy between the posting and what was actually offered was that there is no free clothes washing on site. You would have to pay (a pretty hefty price) to have Gemma clean your clothes for you. Other than that, this place is amazing, top to bottom.

The house was impeccable and very accurate to the listing. Couldn't be in a better location if you're looking for great food, shopping, and culture as well. Can't wait to come back and stay at Casa Rufino!
