Thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry your stay wasn't what you expected. Our treehouse offers a true jungle experience, and we have an on-site caretaker who checks all solar and gas systems—including the water heater—the morning of every arrival. While we do our best to stay ahead of maintenance, parts like batteries can occasionally fail. Our caretaker is always nearby to help, but since we weren't notified of any issues during your stay, we unfortunately didn't have the chance to fix them for you.<br/>​Regarding connectivity, while we are off-grid, standard cell signal is available at the home, and Wi-Fi at base camp and personal laminated maps are in the home as well. We also apologize for the debris on the side trail; our team is working to clear that following a the recent landslide that is on a side trail, not on any of our main trails.<br/>We appreciate your insights and will use them to keep improving the experience for future adventurers!

Hi Kirsten,  Thanks so much for your kind words and appreciation of what we feel is an incredible part of the world.  I got involved very early in the project, being about the second treehouse constructed. It was a mammoth undertaking, but it turned out well, and I have been happy to share it with people from all over the world. I am confident the project will get resurrected in the near future, and once again become the thriving community that I have seen and know it can be again.  But, for now, it is still possible to go there and enjoy the jungle and rivers in absolute solitude, and that's a special opportunity.
