We really had an amazing stay in this beautiful house in the heart of nature. What a change of scenery! We 100% recommend it! It's magical!

Our stay at Mandy's didn't go as planned, as there was construction work in the area that made getting around rather complicated. However, she was very responsive and we were able to relocate without any problems. We appreciated their responsiveness and communication in general. Once the work is completed, we are sure it will be a wonderful place for nature lovers to stay for a few days!

Mandy's place is one of those Air Bnb that makes the whole platform worthwhile. An absolute peaceful heaven with the best sunrise I've ever seen. We were lucky enough to have a whole capuchin family pass by along with Toucans and much more. Pro tip! Get your groceries before arriving, it's quite a hassle to get in and out, but once you're there you won't want to leave! We were ready for mosquitoes with a couple of Thermacells but we didn't even end up using them! A+++ all the way.

We stayed 10 days at Mandy’s and I could’ve stayed longer! Her home is very secluded, private, and nestled in the jungle. The pool and yard are a beautiful oasis where you can enjoy the sunshine and connect with nature; watching toucans and perhaps spotting a sloth high up in the treetops. There is so much to do in the area - beautiful beaches, surfing, waterfalls, hikes and so much more to explore. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Pura Vida in the Jungle was an excellent experience. Since we arrived, it feels like a special place, surrounded by jungle, with incredible views and a tranquility that is difficult to find. The accommodation is very well integrated with nature. The architecture and spaces really make you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle, enjoying the sounds of the forest and the surroundings from almost anywhere in the house. The pool and terraces were definitely our favorite places. Having breakfast there while listening to toucans and other species of birds was something unique and very special. The host Mandy, with the help of Monica, were excellent: always attentive, quick to respond. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. As a recommendation, it is important to have a 4x4 vehicle, since the road can be challenging, but it is definitely worth it.

What an amazing adventure and peaceful retreat what feels to be in the treetops of The jungle. Extremely private - We saw monkeys, toucans and so many birds every day. Our favourite spot was sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and the evenings settling into the jungle. The pool was a lovely retreat from the heat. Not far from amazing beaches - and great recommendations from Mandy on local beaches and waterfalls. Mandy was so responsive and caring - we are forever grateful for the opportunity to stay here and the memories made.

We spent 4 weeks with the family. It offers a very nice view and the presence of animals delighted us. However, we felt that the house had not been prepared for our stay. A lot of repairs weren't done when we arrived. The bathroom lock was broken leaving the possibility of entering the house. The gate was blocked upon arrival, we left the car outside. Unusable pool furniture because it's broken. The kitchen lacks equipment, not enough dishes, missing an oven no dishwasher. It is missing a table to have a meal inside (house overgrown with insects in the evening and a lot of rain). Very wet house. Attention, we had 3 bedrooms, the 4th room is a reserve, no bed, only storage and household products. Very difficult to access house, 4X4 mandatory for 7 km. We had a different with the owner on a reproduced damage that we were not originally responsible for.

Excellent stay. Monkeys, lazy, toucans, hummingbird, morphos... at the rendezvous right in front of the terrace. Wonderful show when you wake up. Perfect house for 6 and during our period (August). Thanks to Monica and Mandy

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this wonderful property. The house is stunning and the setting spectacular with jaw dropping views and was well worth the steep and bumpy drive! 4x4 recommend... We were not blessed with the best weather whilst there but we still saw some amazing animals in the grounds and were able to use the pool a little. The house is well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen for our family of 4. Just so you are aware there are 2 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs with the bathroom so may not be suitable for everyone. We would not hesitate to recommend this house for a relaxing few days to escape the world.

We had a very nice stay at Mandy's jungle house. We were able to see many animals, including toucans, monkeys and an aguti. The pool was very clean and nice and the place had everything we needed. In particular, the washing machine and drying room were useful. The approach is via gravel paths and is sometimes very steep. We had to start with front drive several times to make the last driveway. Four-wheel drive and enough ground clearance therefore definitely make sense. But the path is worth it and we can highly recommend the place.

We spent 10 days quietly at Mandy's. The jungle environment and views are amazing! Fans in every room, screens on the windows, it was impeccable! Attention, 4x4 essential to get up to the house. Lots of mosquitoes during this time, both day and night, they dissuaded us from enjoying the terrace and pool ahah

The house was everything we had hope for, we had an amazing time staying there. It was truly a magical place, the connection with nature was unbelievable. It was a bit rough getting there but Monica (manager) was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure we arrived. There are so many things to do around the area 100% recommend.

Don’t consider this place for any reason. Mandy had someone enter the home and “clean” without our knowledge or consent during our stay and they stole from us. On top of the safety issue of having strangers enter our rental where all of our belongings were stored and meant to be private… absolutely unacceptable

Guest safety and comfort is the top priority for myself as a host and the property manager. While I am still trying to understand what exactly occurred I can comment that I did not approve anyone’s entry into the property while rented. As soon as I became aware of the issue I engaged the past guests and am trying to resolve the issue. As to the state of cleanliness, I’ve never received poor reviews before and can ensure future guests that the house is well maintained. I cannot speak for how airbnb handled the complaint but can assure future guests by communicating that the file was closed without any findings of wrongdoing so I will let guests determine for themselves if they feel safe booking. I do regret this unfortunate circumstance and the stress it has caused the pst guest and assure future guests every effort has been taken to prevent future incidents.
