Overall a great place to stay in Sayulita. Ben was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. He also met us for check-in, which was helpful. House is a short downhill walk to town and far enough away to be peaceful. It says this in the description, but I forgot: this is essentially 2 separate units because they are not connected inside, only accessible via separate entrances outside. All the bedrooms have AC units, but the common areas only have ceiling fans. The upstairs unit is more modern and has a spacious kitchen/common area; downstairs unit is much smaller and a little more dated. Ben had our golf cart delivered to the house, which was super convenient. If you have the energy, you can get a better rate if you call the golf cart company directly and negotiate. Would recommend!

Such a great stay for a girls trip! Ben was super helpful - a great host. Housekeeping everyday was a lovely touch - allowing us to enjoy of weekend trip and spend more time exploring. The photos show exactly what you’re getting, the pool area with all the plants was beautiful. Felt very secured with the locked gate with high walls surrounding our little oasis. Super walkable to town and the beach.

Casa Chicharra was the perfect spot for our girl's bachelorette trip! The two living areas and rooftop terrace were spacious and had everything we needed. The Casa is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood, only a 15 minute walk from town and services. The pool was a welcome amenity that provided relief when not at the beach! Ben was an incredibly gracious host who met us upon arrival and was super responsive throughout the trip. He provided excellent local recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. Natalia (cleaning staff) was amazing and left the place spotless. Would totally book this spot again!!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Chicharra this month. Ben was a great host and was very responsive before and during the trip, with great local recommendations for golf cart, fishing, restaurants, surfing, logistics, and more. The house was wonderful, with plenty of space, comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchens. Our group was two families and having the two separate spaces was great when we needed some space and for getting ready. At the same time, we felt together at the house. The pool was perfect, about 5 feet deep and shaded in much of the afternoon for a cooling dip when it was very hot out. The location is nice, quiet but very easy walk to the plaza, and to many supers, markets, shops etc. We cooked breakfast at the house every day, and a few evenings grilling on the rooftop - a really special place at sunset. Both spaces are well designed, the upstairs contemporary concrete with floor to ceiling windows and doors was really special. Would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful house. I had to get in touch with the host sometimes about some things I needed and he was very quick to respond and he also showed up very quickly when needed. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood, but I do recommend getting a golf carts to explore the town a little bit more because it is a bit of a walk and it’s more enjoyable if you have golf carts. They had a housekeeper come every single day, which was very nice and clean up our place since we were staying for five days. I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely be back in the future.

Ben's home is one of the most thoughtfully appointed Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Our whole group was super comfortable. He was also a responsive, accommodating host! We would definitely stay again.

Amazing spot in Sayulita. They provided water jugs which was honestly my favorite part, not having to buy tons of water and having great water in abundance! All the rooms were lovely, great pool and rooftop. The cleaning service was truly exceptional, they brought counter top organizers! Would stay again in a heartbeat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ben’s place! 🌞 The location was truly perfect—close enough to town to easily get everywhere we needed, yet still peaceful and quiet in the mornings, which made it feel like a serene little retreat. Waking up to the beautiful view, the sounds of birds, and enjoying the calm mornings was pure bliss. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the pool was stunning—such a relaxing and refreshing spot to unwind 💦🌴. Ben was an exceptional host: super responsive, incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond by setting us up with golf carts and a driver, which made getting around effortless. We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout our stay. This place was a highlight of our trip, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly, highly recommend! 🌈💖

Our family had an amazing stay! We had a large group and the property fit us perfectly. Benjamin reached out early and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Could not recommend this play and Sayulita as a whole more!!

Great spot for our group of ladies on a weeklong getaway. House had what we expected from the listing. The outdoor living spaces were excellent. The rooftop patio was great for morning coffees and sunset drinks. Location is tucked away for some privacy, but quick to get to the main square for action. Some hills to climb to get there but a golf cart rental made it easy!

Ben was an amazing host and I couldn’t recommend Casa Chicharra enough! Do yourself a favor and book this spot, don’t think twice! Ben was super quick to respond and helped us out when we needed. He sent us a list of recommendations that we all loved! Ben also set us up with transportation to and from the airport. Rent a golf cart (or two depending on size of party) as the property is on top of a hill and would be tough to walk up especially after enjoying some sun and drinks. Pool was an amazing addition and allowed us to cool off when needed. Rooftop was our favorite spot to hang once the sun went down. 5/5 for Ben and Casa Chicharra.

We had such an amazing stay at Ben’s beautiful house in Sayulita! I came down with a group of friends for a birthday trip, and this place was absolutely perfect. The house was huge, super clean, and had such a warm, homey vibe. The pool was a total hit and got used every single day, and the grill made it so easy to cook dinners at home after spending the day exploring. The location was also spot on just a short walk to town, so we could head in for food, drinks, or shopping without needing a golf cart, but it was still quiet and peaceful at the house. Ben was awesome, super easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions we had. He also gave us some amazing local food recommendations that ended up being some of our favorite meals of the trip. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our getaway. We’d 100% stay at Ben’s place again. Highly recommend!

Benjamin was great. We came with 7 and the home was spacious with lots to do in the home and within walking distance. Benjamin gave great recommendations for a Christmas dinner chef, boat captain for whale watching and golf cart rentals.

Benjamins place is magical! The house is clean, spacious, terrace and pool are wonderful. It is walking distance to downtown to the beach, shopping & restaurants. Benjamin gave us great recommendations for a lady to cook breakfast and chef for dinners and served on the terrace. Choose this space✨

Fantastic stay! The Airbnb was very clean, just as described and pictured, and had the perfect amount of space for our group of four couples. The villa was easy walking distance from town, and had everything we needed for our time away from town enjoying the pool. Benjamin was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

Had a great stay at Benjamin’s airbnb. The location is awesome because it is walkable to the main town and beach, but also tucked away so it is quiet and peaceful. The house itself had all the amenities we were looking for, including a roof deck with views and a pool that helped us cool down whenever. Everything was clean - cleaners visited every day to keep the place tidy. Benjamin was an awesome host, always answering our questions quickly and offering to help us if we needed anything. 10/10 would recommend.

Great stay in Sayulita for group of 5 kids and 4 adults. Nice and well equipped kitchen on 2nd floor. Appreciated the beach gear available at the house to bring to the beach (sunshades, chairs, cooler, ice packs). Effective communication with host. Would recommend!

We were a group of two Seattle families coming for mid winter break. The house is two separate units connected by an outside courtyard and stair. Look at the pics to really understand the split scenario. The house is tucked into a quiet corner on a hill side with great views beyond town. The courtyard has a high wall for privacy and the pool with a shady tree is a beautiful hangout spot. The house is fairly close to the main action but quiet after 10pm. One thing to note is that there's a qualitative difference between the upstairs and downstairs units. Everyone wanted to hang out upstairs. It's airy, light-filled, the kitchen is 3x bigger, and the views are great. So if you're looking to split evenly it between couples, it won't be an equal split -- one of the bedrooms downstairs is quite dark. With 3 small kids in total, we decided to put them in the big downstairs bedroom which had a nice king and en suite bathroom. Benjamin was a great host; we'd come back.

I was in contact with Benjamin and Ashley months prior to my stay who were very responsive and super helpful in the planning aspect of my vacation. They had given me crucial information I needed to better direct me on how to navigate my week away. A week prior to my day of leaving, they had reached out just to touch base and ask if we were excited to come and how planning was going. This was such a nice feeling as it showed me I was thought of and well taken care of. While talking in the week prior, Benjamin and Ashley had actually set up my transport to and from the airport and offered golf cart rental information if I chose to proceed. Upon arrival, Benjamin had met me at the villa to show me around and answer any questions I had plus offer me information about my surroundings to help better guide me through a safe and exciting week away with family. All in all, there are not enough positive things I could say. I would have stayed longer if I could, and will be coming back.

We had an incredible stay at Ben’s place! Very clean, beautiful views, private pool, daily maid service, close to town. They provided us with great recommendations for massages, golf carts, airport shuttles- anything you could think of. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect place for a vacation! Totally walkable to town, such a beautiful house, the rooftop was perfect for a private dinner, and super close to the beach. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot! Ben was always responsive, provided plenty of recommendations, and helped us with everything we needed. If you were working remotely, this place would be great for that too!

Benjamin and Ashley helped organize our shuttle and golf cart. We literally felt like we had door to door service. The location was preferred because it was away from the noise and bustle of town. We enjoyed the pool. The home is not child proofed so you’ll want eyes in your children at all times. I’d love to come again!

Ashley’s place is an absolute dream. The location is perfect- so close to town but tucked right around the corner to keep it quiet. There was safe space to store our rental car and plug in for golf cart. The heated salt water pool is a dream, and the roof top was great to host a tequila tasting (taste of Sayulita was SO amazing). The second floor addition is so beautifully finished. Ashley gave us tons of great recommendations. We honestly can’t wait to come back to Sayulita and reach out to Ashley for property next time!

By far, the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! From booking to checkout, Ashley was the best host. She helped me set up airport transfer, arranged for golf cart delivery, and even gave referrals for personal chef and babysitter! Her communication was superb. When we arrived, the space was truly wonderful for our family. Plenty of room for the kids to run around, and plenty of space for alone time as well. The newly renovated upstairs space was modern and sleek. Each room had their own AC unit. The grounds were well maintained, beautifully designed and curated. There was even housekeeping every day. We especially appreciated the large jugs of purified water and ice machine. The rooftop was amazing for sunset dinners and late night drinks. We got a kick from the bats that fluttered around. The location of the rental is perfect, b/c it was away from the bustle of the plaza but completely walkable as well. 10/10 highly recommended, will def come back!

Ideal spot for a girl's trip (think bachelorette/birthday trip) who want something private, quiet, safe, and clean! Location: the house is easily walkable (~10 min) from the downtown plaza with lots of restaurants (Achara is the best Thai food I've ever had, Henshin Sushi is amazing, and then all the taco stands are bomb), great nightlife (its popping every night of the week), and all the shopping and beaches you could want! House: beautiful - four bedrooms that can sleep two people each and five bathrooms. The pool is an amazing addition, it gets plenty of sun during the day. Huge gorgeous tree in the courtyard attracts an array of delightful and exotic birds that come say hello. A sweet housekeeper (Louisa) comes by daily to replace towels and tidy up (we tipped her 200 pesos a day). Check-in is a little complicated because there are multiple steps (code to get into the gate, separate keys for upstairs and downstairs but hosts explained it all. Hosts are AMAZING, very helpful!
