3BR Villa in El Cuyo

Excellent, 6 months ago

Our family of 6 was very charmed by Casa Moca and by Espita. The house itself is simple and beautiful and was the perfect place to swim and relax after exploring. We had a lovely time in Espita with its calm and charm and magic. Exploring the market and square by night we felt very welcome and met some lovely locals and enjoyed hanging out and strolling while the kids bought sweets and fruit from the vendors. I highly recommend this lovely and peaceful stay.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this house, and it's clearly our favorite Airbnb of the whole trip! From the moment of arrival, everything was fluid, clean and consistent with the photos — even better in real life (the pool is bigger than in the photos)! The space is spacious, bright, perfectly furnished and very comfortable for 6 people. The house is tastefully decorated, the rooms are large, each with its own bathroom and outdoor shower, and the kitchen is very well equipped — it feels like home. The location is ideal for exploring the Espita and Ek Balam area, while enjoying the calmness of the village and its lively square. In short: we recommend it 100%! Cleanliness, comfort, amenities, impeccable host — everything was perfect. Thank you for this great stay, we will definitely come back!

We were warned that the period was that of a big village party and that there would probably be noise. However, we did not expect not to sleep at night (on one of the 3 nights spent, the music did not stop until 6am...). This necessarily impacted our feelings, but the house is perfectly placed, very well equipped, very pretty, and Espita immerses the traveler in the heart of the Yucatan, far from the usual tourist clichés, it was nevertheless an experience that we are happy to have experienced :)

We have stayed here more than once and we absolutely love this place. It’s a little slice of heaven. We will return.

Beautiful home, very tastefully decorated and super comfortable. Espita is probably the most charming and authentical villages we visited during our travel in Yucatan. You won't see many tourists here, but friendly and welcoming locals. Don't miss a breakfast, lunch or dinner at the nearby hotel / restaurant also run by the home owners. Food is absolutely delicious there. Two things to have in mind : the house is not 100% kids friendly (stone steps, pool not secured, bedrooms are separated from the main house). Also our stay took place right during the the Village's carnival week (mid-february) so we had to deal with very loud music and concert noise until very late at night.

The house was STUNNING, even better than the photos. The pool was perfect for cooling off in. The Casa is centrally located and felt like a private haven. You check in /out and collect the keys at the equally beautiful hotel/restaurant a 5 min walk away from the Casa. The kitchen is well equipped and there was some fruit awaiting us! The three bedrooms were a great size. Toiletries in each gorgeous and spacious shower. To note if travelling as a family with young-ish children is that the bedrooms are not part of the main house. So, if you are in the living room/kitchen in the evenings you may not hear your child in their bedroom. The hosts were more responsive to being contacted via What’s App than through Air b n b. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This home exceeded all of our expectations. We absolutely loved it and will return soon. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing stay! We loved the house! We were 4 adults and 1 3-year-old child and the house was perfect: good location, very beautiful decor and amazing exterior, more beautiful than in photos! Super nice pool, super comfortable rooms, and great outdoor shower! We really felt at home! Our hosts were adorable from start to finish, always responsive and accommodating, a great experience! The village of Espita is very pretty, the people are very welcoming and we were really close to Valladolid and the sights we wanted to visit! We highly recommend the house!

Everything was better than we could have imagined! A disclaimer for further guests... Espita is a very smalltown, with next to nothing in terms of traditional tourism infrastructure -- but that's exactly what we wanted. The town is small and charming and everyone was incredibly helpful. You can buy local produce in the main plaza, and wander the streets. But if you do want a gourmet dining experience, then you can also go over to the host's nearby hotel. It's the best of both worlds. The home itself was stunning and would have been perfect for two couples. The decor was gorgeous and tasteful, the beds comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, and the pool was there to help cool off during the midday heat. What more could you ask for?
