4BR Villa in Nuevo Vallarta

Kat

Excellent, 1 year ago

We stayed at the Villa Rosa last weekend for my best friend’s bachelorette and it was absolutely stunning! Truly so much more beautiful in person and the view is insane! The villa is located at the very top of this massive hill which is a trek but worth it. We ran into an issue with the water in the house but Rosemary was always so responsive and took care of everything and anything we needed right away. She gave great recommendations and made planning a trip for 9 girls easy and seamless. We had such a great time in Sayulita and could not recommend this place and host enough. Thanks Rosemary!

Great views, heated pool & clean. Host is quick to respond & helped book airport transfer & golf carts. Golf cart is a MUST. The house is at the top of a steep hill. While driving a golf cart on the hill is scary at first, it quickly becomes a fun adventure! Downsides were not enough pillows (there should be at least two per person), not enough towel hooks in bathrooms, no coffee (not even for your first morning), no directions down the hill, & no luggage racks - when the rental is called a "villa" and charges $1k a night with fees, those details matter. There were only 2 lounge chairs (previous broken ones lay in a pile to the side) & the sun umbrellas were all breaking to the point they were tipped sideways & the outdoor pillows had holes. Only one of the many pool rafts was inflated. The host requested an unplanned call when I arrived, which was 15 minutes of her telling me how much she would charge for "offenses" such as using a bath towel to remove makeup (what?!)

Host Response

Hello, I’m very sorry you were not satisfied with it’s your stay. We provide 2 pillows per bed plus additional throw pillows. The restrooms do have a towel rack AND a hook to hang any belongings . I’m sorry you felt there should have been coffee provided, however it is not listed as one of the amenities. Thank you for the feedback, this is something we will consider adding in the future. On the instructions sent to you prior to check in, there was a link attached that includes directions to and from the house. You must have missed it because directions were included. I apologize for the limited amount of lawn chairs. There were more lounge chairs, however they did break and while we ordered new ones, shipping did take quite a long time. Sayulita is a very windy town, therefore umbrellas do not always stay perfectly stationary. Last but not least, I did mention that we offer make up removing wipes being since so many towels have been ruined by guests wiping their makeup and eyeliner. I never mentioned that there would be a charge for ruined or stained towels. Thank you staying at Villa Gran Rosa!

Simply phenomenal!! The house is very comfortable, the views and sunsets are great. We'll definitely be back!

Above all else, Rosemary is an excellent host. She is so attentive yet gives your group privacy. Just an incredible person and host. The house matched the photos and is perfect for a group. It was fun taking the golf carts to and from the town (5 min) and the house is secluded with a great view of Sayulita. The showers, pool, kitchen, bedrooms are all expertly stocked and has everything that one would need. Finally, the housekeepers kept the place clean during our stay. Would highly recommend this to hotels in Sayulita. I would recommend this place to anyone.

What an experience. Eight of us came to a destination wedding and decided to stay here rather than near the larger wedding party and guests closer to town. What a peaceful and beautiful spot! There's no walking to the place - you need to use a golf cart or some other means as it's a very steep road - but you get used to it quickly and going up and down the hill takes only a few minutes and is kinda fun. We hired a local chef - at the suggestion of the owner - who made us breakfast each day, which was magical. We also hosted a large cocktail party, and the house handled the crowd very comfortably. The pool is fantastic, the view is mesmerizing, and we felt very safe and insulated. The rooms were nice and the beds very comfortable. If I had one complaint, it's that they could use an extender for the WiFi. We had issues each day, which was a little annoying for those who had to do some work. But, a little annoyance for an otherwise 10/10 on every level is not bad. Thanks for hosting us!

We had an amazing stay. Rosemary is the best! She was very responsive and attentive, she gave me all the information needed from airport arrival to getting back on the plane to go home. The property and stay was better than we even imagined. Just gorgeous and the house was spotless and well appointed. The backyard pool and outdoor living quarters was phenomenal and where we spent the most time. The recommended chef was excellent as well. Rosemary also arranged for the golf carts that were needed to go down the hill into town. Thank you Rosemary. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Rosemary's house is hands down the best airbnb I've ever been to. My friends and I went to Sayulita for a long weekend and had such a magical time! The pictures on the listing are beautiful but don't do it justice- it's so much better in person. Rosemary is an excellent host and the property manager Juan was also amazing- both so responsive and helpful for everything we needed. There were 6 of us in total and we were blown away by the space we had, the view, and the cleanliness. Rosemary helped coordinate golf carts (necessary for the fun hill to get into the town) as well as transportation to and from the airport. She also recommended a chef, Jesus, who came to cook our last evening. Everything about this is amazing. 5/5 stars- already planning our next trip.

Host Response

Thank you for this awesome review!

This place is absolutely stunning! The home is located in a very private area which would have been difficult to find if we had not booked transportation through the host. It is located at the top of a steep mountain,on the end of a very rocky road…driving a car too and from downtown would not be possible but is manageable with golf carts. We had two one year old babies and a four year old and we were able to get to and from without issue. The set up is absolutely perfect for hanging by the pool, cooking a high end dinner, and relaxing after a long day exploring the town. Dora and Lina were extremely helpful in planning our stay and we’re responsive whenever we had questions. The place was immaculate, well stocked with necessities and felt comfortable from the moment we stepped in the door. We also rented the suite above the garage which was a perfect set up for the nanny. Overall, our stay was beyond perfect and we are already planning our next trip back!

We loved our stay in the hills of Sayulita! The house is beautiful, just as described. Prior to checking in, Lina was very responsive and helped arrange airport transportation and golf carts for our group (a must!). Upon checking in, Dora met us at the house and was always very helpful and responsive to our questions. The house was cleaned each day, including the pool and grounds. The views are amazing, especially the sunsets. We enjoyed taking our golf carts to town and trying the different restaurants in the area, but it was also very nice to go back to the house, which was peaceful and quiet. House was well-stocked, with everything we needed. Water pressure was great, and we always had plenty of hot water for showers for nine of us. The outdoor shower and bathroom are very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come again!

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Villa Rosa. The house itself is spectacular. The view, the house, and the outside areas were all amazing. Aside from the house, the staff was incredible. My family and I were there during a hurricane, and the property managers went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, had water, etc. As some other guests have mentioned, you need a golf cart as the hills up to the house are incredibly steep. The house is about a 10-minute drive from town and at one of the highest points in Sayulita. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in a beautiful house overlooking the town!

This house and the view from the pool were great. We caught some great sunsets. Lina and Rosemary were responsive with all emails and inquiries. They recommended chef Cecilia and her team to come cook for us and they were great. It was nice having them cook for us a few nights since getting to the town is not easy from the house. I do recommend to rent golf carts since taxis dont always can or want to drive up there to pick you up. We tried walking up to the house and it was brutal. We are pretty active but the humidity and the hills were hard. Besides the location the house was great. If you plan on enjoying the house and not being in the town too much this is the house for you.

We loved our stay at the Villa Gran Rosa. It’s incredibly beautiful, and sunset from the pool won’t soon be forgotten. The house is on *top* of the hill north of Sayulita, walking down and up can be done, but you definitely want to rent a golf cart through the Airbnb! That makes getting in and out of town much easier. The hosts were very communicative and helped us organize a few things, including a chef (Cecilia) who we loved!

Our stay at Villa Rosa was truly amazing. When we booked the home several months ago, there were not yet all the photos listed online, so we didn't realize how large and truly beautiful the home would be. The views are stunning, from the bedrooms and the pool, and the rooftop deck. Don't forget to see the stars at night! The decor is clean and tasteful, beds very comfortable, and all appliances and utilities worked perfectly. We really appreciated the filtered drinking water and no one in our large group got sick during our stay. Lina arranged for a great driver and two fun golf carts for our use. We were certainly glad we had them for the trips up the steep hill to the house (although it's pretty fun walking down the hill!) I don't have anything negative to stay. Book Villa Rosa, where you will be well cared for and indulged in a fabulous stay in Sayulita.

Wow! The photos do not do this place justice. Although a bit further from town than we anticipated our jaws were on the floor when we pulled up and saw the place. The host went above and beyond to coordinate golf carts to be waiting there for us as well as an suv to pick us up from the airport with refreshments. There were multiple points of contact provided that were so prompt with anything we needed. The house was breath taking, we felt completely relaxed and taken care of. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

The house is beautiful, lots of space, amazing views, everything about the house is perfect, but the road to get there is really bad ,if you drive there's no parking, you have to park in the street ,very narrow street, there's a lookout up ahead cars drive by with the music so loud in the middle off the nightly car was damaged badly because you need to go all the way to the lookout to turn around, there is a garage but the owners car is there so is close, for me it was a bad experience.

Host Response

So glad you and your family stayed at this lovely home! Please know that the road to the home is fully paved and accessible with parking in front. Guest have not had issues and this home is easily accessible by golf cart. We understand that you drove up past the home-on a unpaved and very rough road- where you experienced damage to your car. We recommend guests stay on the paved roads throughout town"

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had! The house is spacious, brand new, clean and has everything you want including the views. The property managers went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The whole team was quick to respond to any question or request, incredibly helpful, and made us all feel very at home. We had a group of 8 people, all traveling in at different times and days - Lina and Mitch helped to organize airport transportation for our whole group and golf cart rentals for the week. The house has a beautiful outdoor kitchen and dinning area. Lina recommended an incredible chef (Nuri) who cooked dinner for us at the house one night and made great use of the space. The house is serviced by a cleaning team every day who will even wash and fold your laundry for you. Our stay was 10/10 and far exceeded our expectations! The house is located at the north end and up a big hill, about a mile from down town. The advantage of being up above is that you are away from the loud noise of town, and is very quiet. You also get an unbeatable view of the town and ocean as well as incredible sunsets. You will definitely need golf carts to get to and from town and the beach. The company that the hosts set us up with was very quick to respond and helpful - they dropped the carts and chargers off for us so they were ready to go when we arrived. I highly recommend booking through them. The house is hard to find for taxis or ubers so I would also recommend booking airport transportation with the hosts. I really can't say enough good things about the house, hosts, and staff. I know I'll be back again!
