5BR Villa in Nuevo Vallarta

Brad

Excellent, 3 months ago

Had a great stay with friends for 8 days. Spent the majority of the time in the pool. The layout of the house was great if people wanted some privacy throughout the week. Staff were very responsive. Beautiful views of the ocean. Great experience.

Our family vacation of 6 adults stayed here for a week. The house was amazing and had everything we needed for the week. The hosts were very proactive in keeping in touch and providing local recommendations. We loved our stay here.

Host Response

Trevor, thank you for your comments. We are glad you had an enjoyable time at Casa Buena Vista and the property met your expectations. We look forward to hosting you again if your travels bring you back to Sayulita.

The pictures don't do this house justice. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is worth every penny. There is also a large section of the pool that has a shallow area to sit in that also made it easy for my three year olds to "swim" safely. The patio surrounding the pool with the mini fridge, built in grill, fire pit, hammock area, and numerous sitting areas has eveything you could need. This house is so close to town and the beach that you can easily walk. We rented carts and loved the freedom of zipping to any location in a minute or two. The staff is amazing! The house manager met us and graciously worked with us when our vans arrived before check in time. The housekeeper was very friendly and made everything spotless. This house is directly over the plaza, so fair warning it can get loud during celebrations (we were there for Dia de Muertos). However, we loved the atmosphere and thought this proximity added to our experience.

⚠️ Careful — You Might Get Robbed! Casa Buena Vista is a beautiful property, but I would be very cautious about staying here. We were a group of women ranging in age from our mid-20s to late-60s. The owners were kind enough to allow us to book since they typically don’t rent to large groups. Upon arrival, I asked the property manager whether anyone else had access to the property for safety reasons. He assured me that only he did. For the first two days, we stayed at the villa all day. The first evening we went out to dinner, we returned to find that someone had broken into the casita, unlocked every interior door, and stolen cash, jewelry, and electronics. Even more concerning — when we returned, all the doors had been re-locked, making it seem like whoever entered had access to keys or inside knowledge. When we contacted the property manager and owners, no one seemed surprised or particularly alarmed, which made us feel even more uneasy. After the incident, we no longer felt safe

Alan and Nancy, WOW! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us. Martin was incredibly helpful and friendly and was able to help connect me with some additional services to really elevate our experience. The home you have created is truly special, and even after seeing all the photos I was still utterly blown way when I first walked through the front door with Martin. The views from the house are spectacular, and it's just a few minutes' walk or golf cart ride into town and the beach. Pro tips to really elevate your stay at Casa Buena Vista: arrange to have some golf carts delivered ahead of your arrival, have a spa send masseuses for poolside massages, and PLEASE have Martin connect you with Johnathan, an incredibly talented and friendly private chef who cooked us a meal we have not stopped talking about. Thank you again for being such well prepared and gracious hosts another huge thanks to Martin and all the wonderful people he connected us with.

Where do I start, this place exceeded our expectations and was more stunning than the photos if that is possible. The view is spectacular, the furnishings and details high end, beautiful and well maintained, perfect location where its 5 mins walk to all the restaurants/shops/beach but far enough where it was so peaceful and serene. On our luxurious getaway. We went as a family from a 10 year, teenagers, adults and grandmas. It was perfect for everyone, some wanted to stay home and relax with a book and the view, others went go surfing/ hang out at the beach or walk around town and check things out. We made dinner most nights at home, kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the outdoor bbq by the pool. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. We rented a golf cart and we were glad we did, fun to explore the town and different beaches, head to bank a little outside of town and help if anyone was tired walking. All in all, a perfect place for our family vacation

This home exceeded our expectations. It is gorgeous! Love the outdoor area and all the sitting areas. The property manager, Martin was very helpful and accessible. We cooked at the home and also went out for dinners. Everything you need is in the kitchen. We loved the coffee from Martin’s shop. Appreciated the ear plugs in each bedroom as well. There is some music outside, however, you would hear it no matter where you stayed. Also very charming are the roosters in the morning. Again, I would think that is the whole town not just our area. We loved the peacefulness of the home. Honestly, spent most of our time enjoying the patio, fire pit and outdoor tables playing cards. It’s easy to take the short walk to the excitement of the plaza for entertainment, food, drinks, or just for the enjoyable walk. And then an easy walk home to feel like you are miles away in your own peaceful oasis. Highly recommend!

Host Response

Thank you for comments. We agree Martin is the best. We live for his coffee. Only need to get it delivered to the states. We would welcome you back anytime.

This is a beautiful home with fabulous views . The kitchen was large and exceptionally well-equipped. The design provides a secure and private home with many separate places to relax. Martin was exceptionally helpful in arranging transportation, including an urgent need for transportation after a hike up Monkey Mountain. Our hosts, Alan and Nancy went out of their way to communicate, and we would not hesitate to rent this property in the future.

There was a lot we loved about the stay and quite a few things we did not. The views were incredible, the house was exactly like the pictures, and the location is right near town. We followed recommendations and got a golf cart but returned it after one day - it’s a super short walk into town and we didn’t think a golf cart is necessary at all. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked a lot while there. Plenty of glasses for cocktails and we LOVED the pool table with a view. This was a highlight for us. While yes, there was construction noise, we expected that. We did not expect two incredibly loud dogs right next door that barked through all hours of the night non stop. There were people staying in the current construction site right behind the house who were there at random times all night making noise and had bright lights on. We could barely sleep even with ear plugs. Good to know before booking. Lastly, the trash cans had no lids but you can’t flush paper.. not ideal.

Host Response

Eliza - Thank you for your comments. We have not had complaints about the dogs (in fact we were at the property from November 27 to December 10 and there were no barking dogs). We will try to figure out what is going on. We are sorry about the noise from the construction site - as you know we cannot control that. Since the constructions should be done in the next few months, if you ever plan another visit to Sayulita we would glad to host you again.

Our 4th visit to Sayulita and Alan and Nancy's place was by the far the very best! Beautiful views from both floors and steps to town and yet a world away from the craziness. The house has comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen, and our stay included a friendly and responsive property manager and house cleaning. Our group of 6 (my parents, husband and our 4 and 6 year old daughters) enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor communal spaces, while each having our own private wing of the home to unwind with private bathrooms. Pool was a dream. This truly is a special place we did not want to leave. Highly recommend! Note: as of December '23: there was consistent loud construction noise each day, including weekends, starting at 7:30am, due to a condo being built behind the house. This is common in Sayulita and of course outside of the control of the hosts, who provided ear plugs. We rise early with our kids & so it didn't bother us -- the view more than made up for it

I absolutely love this home! The home itself has a great layout. The two levels make the master suite feel very private and the view from it is incredible (top floor). The two downstairs rooms were spacious and cozy and everyone had their own bathroom. It was very clean at check in and all the added amenities made it feel like home. We were able to pick up groceries on the way and immediately cook when getting to the house. Each room had enough towels for each guest. Housekeeping was offered each day, though we only requested one day since our group is very clean. I would like to give a special mention to Martin and the owners for being so hospitable. The papers they sent me had all the restaurants and tips and tricks on it so I was able to plan ahead very well and look forward to the local favorites. Martin was especially helpful in coordinating our airport ride, golf cart rentals, massages at the house and made it easy! Muchas Gracias!

This place was fantastic. The hosts not only connect you with a great local to help with any amenities but they give great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The construction was loud but overall the place is top notch. Having the pool and the pool table made for constant entertainment. The people of sayulita are super kind, and the food and the surf are immaculate. Will definitely be visiting again. Would highly suggest grabbing golf carts just because they are a blast to drive around town and into the jungle beaches. Cheers

Excellent private home with great pool overlooking the heart of Sayulita and the ocean sprawling to the horizon. Lovely gardens, well-appointed kitchen, great rooms, even better ocean breeze and super responsive and knowledgeable property manager. The hosts are wonderfully responsive and informative as well. If you want to be in the heart of Sayulita in a private home well-suited for a family with adult and sub-adult kids, it's just a great place.

We loved our time at Casa Buena Vista where our family spent the Christmas holiday. We were surprised by the natural beauty, which was much better than the pictures. The view from the pool is amazing, with wonderful landscaping. The view from the second floor, which wraps the entire house, is even more impressive with a refreshing breeze. We enjoyed days at the pool, it felt like we were in our own little world. At night we went into town and played pool off of the kitchen space. The walk to town is short but steep, so the golf cart made getting to town very quick. Martin met us at checkin and checkout and did a full walkthrough, he also helped with finding excursions, our airport driver, and golf cart details and was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely return!

Host Response

Jamie - thanks for your comments and suggestions to help us improve the experience for our guests. We hope to host you again. Nancy and Alan.

Alan and Nancy were wonderful hosts, and especially Martin - the property manager. Sadly, our trip was not the trip we hoped for because of a large construction project next door - which at times sounded like it was in the house. This wasn’t disclosed to us before our trip and construction started at 7:30am (with workers beginning to make noise at 7) and went until 7:30-8pm. I’m not removing stars from them as this was out of their control and they did what they could to make it right but we definitely should have been made aware prior to our stay. The house is beautiful, perfect location. The house cleaner and property manager went above and beyond to assist. Once construction is done next door (and it has awhile to go) this will be a great place to stay.

This house was perfect for our group of 6 ladies, and would be great even for a larger group! The pool is wonderful, and the view is spectacular. Kimberly, the property manager went above and beyond to give us recommendations and make sure we had everything we needed. We rented a golf cart and got a lot of use out of it, but the walk into town isn’t bad, especially with the nearby stairs! There was construction going on right next door for the entirety of our stay, so during the day it was loud, but at night it was really peaceful.
