4BR Villa in Mexico City

Tiffany

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

Fabulous stay for big groups, beds are comfortable, it’s quiet and rooms are dark. Spacious and nice amenities like a tv in every room/AC. Location is 11/10. Amazing coffee shop literally across the street, tons of food near by, and for being a busy area, it was peaceful. Thank you!

Host Response

Tiffany, I appreciate your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Come back soon.

Everything about this place and the description was exactly as described. The location is central to everything and anything that you want to do while visiting Mexico City without having to ever deal with any kind of traffic. We arrived for check in and were greeted by Malena who i believe cleans and maintains the place. Everything was exceptionally clean with clean white linen in the beds, comfortable soft mattresses, bright white fluffy towels in the bathrooms, just simply smelled clean. Always had hot water in all 4 bathrooms. We were footsteps away from great coffee and pizza and a few minutes from everything else. On our second day we got to briefly meet Manuels mother who also was very kind and asked if we had any needs and to confirm that everything was to our expectations. We never felt away from home while on this trip and will definitely be coming back!

Comfortable Airbnb for our large group with great hosts. Manuel and Lucila were able to accommodate early check in and luggage storage for our departing flight, which made everything easy and stress-free. They were always responsive and quick to fix any issues. The house is well stocked, centrally located and easy to access. Within walking distance of convenience stores, grocery stores, shopping and great restaurants. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable with an AC unit in each, perfect for hotter months.

Thank you for your feedback. It was a pleasure to have you at home.

My friends and I enjoyed staying at Manuel's place. A few pros and cons: Pros: Manuel is awesome! He is highly responsive, accommodating, the Airbnb is in a perfect location on the border of Roma Norte and Condesa, and the appropriate size for big groups if you don't mind sharing a room. We also loved the Japanese restaurant, Kura, that was only being one block away. Cons: The showers, specifically the shower heads were not very high, and we aren't tall people which made showering a little difficult. We had to ask for a heater in the downstairs bathroom and found the house pretty chilly. The house has an authentic feel, which we loved, but it also meant that the stairs and floors creaked every time someone moved. Overall, it's great for large groups as long as you also understand what you're working with.

Highly highly recommend this stay! Location is perfect, next to or minutes walk away from a ton of restaurants, cafes, large supermarket and around the corner from a great general hospital. The street is peaceful, area is safe, and very easy to find. The house is just lovely. Tons of space and the perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms for my family of 5 visiting. It felt so homely and cozy. Worth noting are the beds/linen/pillows — so so comfy I wish I could sleep there for more days. The outdoor patio is also very cute with a hammock and washer/dryer. Lucila and Manuel were the absolute best hosts. They were extremely proactive, helpful, and able to accommodate or assist in anything we needed. I had to go to the ER at one point and I bumped into one of the hosts and they offered assistance and checked in on me the next day. Wonderful home and wonderful, considerate hosts!

Great accommodation in the best location in CDMX. Ideal for groups or large families. The house is very well equipped and has enough rooms for everyone. There are very good cafes, restaurants and shops very close to the accommodation. Highly recommended. I would definitely come back to this place

My family of 5 greatly enjoyed Manuel’s place. The location was extremely safe and walkable to great cafes and restaurants. It was also extremely easy to get taxis or Ubers immediately. Our last night, we went next door to Kura for sushi/Japanese and it was amazing! The townhome is beautifully renovated and we loved the authentic feel when staying there and having coffee on the patio and enjoying the hammock in the enclosed patio. We did not hear any street noise, the unit was extremely clean and spacious, and we would recommend this for anyone - families, group friend trips, etc. Thank you for a great first experience to Mexico City!

We had a fantastic stay at Manuel’s house iThe location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to do, from exploring historic sites to enjoying great restaurants and shops. The neighborhood felt safe and lively, and getting around was easy. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The host was responsive and helpful, which made our trip even smoother. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City.

Manuel was an amazing host! Super hospitable, very responsive, and willing to stop by at any time if we needed anything. Most importantly, the listing was accurate to the description and fit my needs for a large party for my birthday trip. We loved the location and the amount of space & bathrooms we all had. I was the last person to leave (late flight), and Manuel also let me keep my suitcase there for a while after checkout which I really appreciated. Definitely would stay here again!

Review by an American: This Airbnb was great for several reasons. We found it spacious for our group of 9, conveniently located, super safe and tucked back, conducive for fun and private patio hangs at night. The host was super attentive and accommodating. PSA to my fellow a/c dependent Americans: only 2 rooms have mini-splits. All of the rooms have ceiling fans but if you’re like me and run hot at night then keep this in mind, it might be a problem. We happened to be there during a hot week in April (85° F during the afternoon) and the rooms got warm. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Ideally during a cooler month though.

Manuel, our host, gets 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately we had a few issues that I shared with Manuel. The apartment is comfortable and has charm but it is definitely noisy- both from the street noise but also the loud creaking floors. Also the floors were really dirty- walking barefoot was not pleasant. Also there is only air conditioning in 2 of the 4 bedrooms (it was hot even at night in the apt in March). But Manuel was so responsive and helpful.

Host Response

Good morning Alissa, with respect to your comments I was very surprised, regarding the following, you mention that there was noise, when the house is in a private and there is no noise from the street, it was probably an unusual situation due to some event close to home, I understand the crunch of wood, since they are houses of the a;os 40 and it is one of the characteristics of the house, In addition, I comment the ground was very dirty, so walking barefoot was unbearable. I am very surprised since the house is cleaned 14 before arrival, it is worth mentioning that we gave him the opportunity to arrive very early in the ma;Ana when check-in is at 3 in the afternoon, and I do not understand why the apartment was dirty and more than the magnitude of as he expresses it, it may be that probably some dust will come through some slit of the door, but not to exaggerate, I also comment , In addition, there is only air conditioning in two of the four rooms (it was hot even at night in March). when in the listing it is indicated that only 2 rooms have air conditioning and all have a ceiling fan, I tell us at the time that the air conditioning did not serve and the dirty floor, immediately we contacted her and the air conditioning was because they did not know how to use it, we took it and everything is ok, as for the floor, we offered her the cleaning the next day since when I report it was Sunday non-work day, and she said no, that there was no problem

We stayed for six weeks, and hosted many different friends and family over the holiday season. The experience was just wonderful. The location was perfect -- close enough to the Bosque to be able to go for runs and visit the anthropology museum/other sites, but also close enough to all the fun things to do and see (and eat) in Roma Norte. Only a block from the city rental bikes, which we took everywhere -- to the Zocalo, to the post office, to the Bosque, etc.! The house was also perfect for our needs -- the two beds in most of the rooms meant that it was cozy but also sort of expandable when other families came to stay with us. Manuel and Lucila were so kind and responsive -- when we first got there I was embarrassed how much I was texting them to ask about things, and yet they continued to gamely try and solve whatever problems came up. They bought a toaster oven so that I could make my husband a birthday cake! Malena the cleaner was also so warm/helpful. Thanks to all!

it was a pleasure to have you at the house, come back soon, we look forward to seeing you

We really enjoyed staying here over Thanksgiving holiday. It was a great location to amazing restaurants, parks and other attractions. The Airbnb had plenty of space and allowed a lot of natural light in. Even though there was no heating provided we stayed pretty warm this time of year. The wood floors are somewhat creaky and some of the doors can close very quickly so if you’re a light sleeper keep that in mind. overall we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Manuel!

This Air BNB listing looks exactly like the photos. The location was safe, the house was clean, quiet at night, modern with a historic charm. Check-in / check out was easy and efficient. I highly recommend and hope to return. There is so much to see and do in this city and the location of this Air BNB is a perfect. Our group traveled around mostly in Ubers which were extremely affordable and was only an approx. 30 minute ride to and from the airport (dependent on traffic) , I HIGHLY recommend this location for an extended weekend with friends and family.

Amazing stay in Roma Norte. Some highlights: - Definitely accomodated 13 people, external bathrooms helped. - Neighborhood is steps away from cute cafes (wo, % arabica), bakeries (suizeria), restaurants (contramar, huset), grocery stores, corner stores. Everything you need is easily reachable. - Host was super nice, gave very thorough instructions. - Seperate tap for drinking water! Would love to come back if I had a large group in the city. This place was a hit.

Our stay was an absolute 10/10! I highly recommend Manuel’s place, and I definitely plan on returning. It was perfect for my family of seven—immaculately clean, comfortable, and with fantastic beds. The location is unbeatable, with everything within walking distance. The neighborhood is very safe, and I already can’t wait to come back. The hosts, Lucila and Manuel, were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond by allowing us to store our bags since we had a late-night flight. They truly made our experience exceptional. I’ve visited Mexico City many times, and this is hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed!

The place was great! Hosts were super nice, very responsive, and friendly. Location was walking distance from a lot of restaurants and stores we wanted to go to. Otherwise everything was a short Uber ride away. The place itself was very roomy. Ample space for everyone. I’d go back again. My only issue was Saturday night there is a club next door that played extremely loud music till around 1:30am or later. The windows literally shook. So either go out and party with them or bring some really good ear plugs. Did not affect our enjoyment of the home. It was a great stay. Just something to be aware of given the very central location.

We loved the neighborhood. Safe, beautiful, and conveniently located near restaurants, cafes, parks, and grocery stores. Spacious property with lots of natural light. The upstairs wooden floors are creaky so if you’re a sensitive sleeper, staying in the downstairs room is ideal. Two of the bedrooms have A/C and the others rooms have fans. We felt more comfortable sleeping in the rooms with A/C during this season. The five of us enjoyed hanging out together in the living room. The hosts Manuel and Lucila were friendly and responsive. This is a great option for a big group of people who want to stay in La Condesa/Roma Norte area.

The good: Location is walkable to a lot of restaurants, shopping and parks near by. Everything else is a relatively short Uber ride away. Juan Manuel's place was comfortable and clean. Juan Manuel was extremely responsive to any questions or issues we had and helped resolve issue in a timely fashion. Could be better: With the very warm weather during our stay, the only thing missing was ACs in two of the upstairs rooms (the 3rd room upstairs had an AC that ran great) and the downstairs AC wasn't as strong as we'd hoped. Also it can get a little noisy outside with the restaurants and thin windows, but nothing a little white noise couldn't cure. Overall: great bang for you buck if you're planning to stay in Roma Norte with an excellent host!

Juan Manuel was extremely friendly, quick and efficient both ahead and during our stay at his wonderful place. The apartment is on a quiet side alley on an extremely central block for everything that is Roma Nte / Condesa, with lots of eateries and points of interest at walkable distance or just a short ride away. The apartment is very clean and well equipped, with both indoor spaces and the small courtyard providing space to chat, relax, or work in quiet for a while before/after exploring the city. The four bedrooms (3 upstairs, 1 on the ground floor) and the three full bathrooms allow for a relaxed share use of space and can accommodate quiet a few more people than the 4 we ended up being. All in all the perfect place to stay for our group on the second half of the CDMX Art Week, fitting for both work and leisure schedules. Recommended!

Juan and Lucila were super helpful and communicated clearly leading up to check in and out. The home was spacious and accommodated my team perfectly. The home was conveniently and safely located near many amazing restaurants, bars, and carts. Highly recommend Juan and Lucila's home for a peace of mind for work with stable wifi, but also not having to worry about your belongings when you're exploring. Thanks for the amazing hospitality!!

Host Response

It was a pleasure to welcome you. This is your home when you visit our city again.

This house is a great stay for a medium to large group, with one (as of December 2023) issue for consideration. The location, straddling Roma Norte and La Condesa, is a wonderful way to get stuck into the bustle and fun of Mexico City. The house feels secure being on a private road, and is seriously huge, we were a party of 5 but you could happily house more than double that with people who are comfortable sharing rooms. Amenities worked as described and the filter coffee pot was highly appreciated. The yard was a great base for everyone to gather at the start of an evening. The only problem is that the house currently backs onto a building site, licensed to work 8am-6pm on weekdays, so expect to be woken up by it. We had a busy agenda so learned to roll with the disturbance, but sadly the noise & dust means the yard is effectively unusable during the day. Had this information been shared ahead of time, we’d have felt less negatively surprised when works began.

This home truly has it all! Our family decided to stay here based on the wonderful location and it did not disappoint. There are so many delicious places to eat within walking distance! The entrance to the home is gated and truly felt so safe. There is a lot to do in the nearby areas as well. We walked around the neighborhood and spent the day at Chapultepec Park nearby. With tons of bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had enough room to spread out. The home was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We felt right at home instantly. The host was so responsive and incredibly accommodating. We have zero complaints and would definitely stay here again. Roma Norte is a true gem! Ps: the escape room across the street from the house made for a fun nighttime activity, definitely give it a try!

The house was perfect for my family of five. The house is spacious and there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we had a restful sleep. The house was meticulously clean. The house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We walked to restaurants in the area. Lucilla and Juan Manuel were wonderful hosts. They are friendly and provided prompt responses. I would stay here again.

Excellent, 2 years ago

Our stay at Juan’s place was great! Our host was super helpful and flexible with check in to allow us to get in a little early.

Overall, great stay for a larger group - would say it fits ~8 people comfortably. Keep in mind, 3 of the 4 bedrooms have 2 double/full size beds whereas one has a queen. Location is fantastic, the coffee shop across the street is great, as is the sushi place next door. Convenient store right at the corner. Some quirks are that the baseboards are squeaky because they're wooden floors - so for sensitive sleepers, would recommend ear plugs as you can tell when someone is walking around.

An excellent stay! In a world with questionable hosts and poorly-described properties, Juan's property stood above the rest. It is a wonderful older but renovated building in Roma Norte, close to many popular attractions and right in the heart of Mexico City. Quite roomy and spacious, despite appearances. The photos do not do this place justice - it is better than described. Also a pleasure to have met the cleaners on the way in, who were very helpful, thorough, and made sure that the property was spotless. I hope to visit again!

The Good/Great: 1. Family of six adults sharing 4 bedrooms and 4 baths so that was great! 2. Very good if not the best (for the price) location. Close to (walking or Uber) to most sights and restaurants. 3. Juan, the host, was very responsive - almost immediate in most cases. 4. Place was neat and tidy. The kitchen was minimally but adequately stocked. Same for the bathrooms though extra set of towels would have been helpful. A few minor(?) glitches: 1. Upstairs shower leaked into the hallway below and was unusable thereafter. However, though the issue couldn't obviously be fixed while the place was occupied, Juan was immediate in his response and was genuinely apologetic for the inconvenience. 2. The washer produced dirty marks on the towels. The towels itself could have been of better quality. Again, Juan responded immediatley with fresh towels (and of much better quality). All in all, I wouldn't have any problem recommending this place to all but the most picky!

Juan Manuel’s townhome was amazing for our group of 6 adults. Everyone had their own bed and two bedrooms have an AC unit - though they were not needed. The home stays cool in warm weather. Every bedroom has blinds that block out sunlight very well and ceiling fans that help circulate air. Room set up: - 1 bedroom downstairs w/private bath, 2 double beds + AC. Additional full bath downstairs. - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. Two upstairs rooms have 2 full beds each, one of those has private bath and AC. The third upstairs room has one full/queen bed. All of the upstairs bedrooms have a desk and Wifi worked very well for us on video calls. - beds very comfortable, linens are mostly microfiber sheets We loved being able to hang out on the private back patio and do laundry. Only downside was that the floor was not super clean so we wore socks inside during our stay. The kitchen has a water filtration system so you can drink water from the sink! Thank you for an amazing stay!

My family lived in the area of La Condesa for years. So coming back and being able to stay at Juan’s Airbnb made revisiting our old neighborhood a brease. Knowing the area already I chose this Airbnb for it’s great location, being on the 1st and 2nd floor and the 4 bathrooms, because we were with another family. All 7 of us had ample space and none of our teenagers fought over bathroom time! It was a great trip and I would recommend staying at Juan’s Airbnb without a doubt!
