I truly appreciate your kind words about the property and our efforts to support you during an important milestone celebration. While we always strive to provide a seamless and memorable experience, there are occasions—particularly in a remote peninsula location—when circumstances arise that are entirely beyond anyone’s control. In this case, the pool and jacuzzi issue was caused by a mechanical failure that required a specific imported part. Given our location, it was genuinely remarkable that our pool service company was able to source and install the necessary component as quickly as they did, allowing you and your wife to enjoy the pool for part of your stay. I want to be clear that this was not the result of a lack of effort or care. Our team and service providers worked diligently and in good faith to resolve the issue as quickly as possible under challenging logistical conditions. Regarding privacy and seclusion, I also want to clarify for the record that the listing does state that the owner may be present in the main house during a guest’s stay. The secondary residence is not rented to third parties, and the owner’s presence has not historically impacted guests’ ability to enjoy the full property, grounds, or amenities. Many guests have stayed while the owner was on-site and have continued to experience the same level of privacy, comfort, and use of the space as intended. That said, I understand how expectations—particularly around a special occasion like an anniversary—can shape one’s experience, and I appreciate you sharing your perspective. I did want to kindly share one quick clarification, as it’s important for both us and future guests: we don’t have tents at Hidden Leaf—what you stayed in was one of our geodesic domes. They’re solid, insulated structures designed for year-round comfort and a more elevated experience than traditional camping or glamping.
