Beautiful vacation in Playa del Carmen! The house was very cozy, clean and in a perfect location: very close to the center and the beach. Absolutely Fabulous Villa. North end of town but you can tell 5th is expanding. New buildings are going up so there is that noise but its not horrendous. Restaurants are a little quieter and less expensive this end of town. Also Amazing Vegan options I was well taken care of in that aspect! Easy walk to the beach. Very nice grocery store about a ten minute walk. The pool was a dream. The rooftop deck was HOT...but that probably because we went up there in June in the middle of the day. All in all I recommend this. I also appreciate that the air conditioners don't sound like a freight train blowing through the building every 15 minutes- which is a problem with other rentals in Playa.

We loved our vacation in Mexico, the location was fantastic (really close to everything) and other than the construction (which every city has) nothing to say other than we would return in a minute. Very large house with room for everyone. Very pleased!!!

Our stay at Casa Jaybird was amazing. We spent a month here and could have easily stayed longer. The location really can't be beat - a super quiet street right off 5th Avenue and walking distance to the beach. But for being so close to all the action, the home felt so private when you were inside. Elizabeth was always responsive and quick to answer our questions, and Samuel was always so kind and happy to help with anything around the house. We have young children so we had white noise machines in all the bedrooms, so we didn't have any concerns with the noise as some reviews mention. There was some construction nearby during the day but truly nothing that really bothered us. We'll be back!

Everything was perfect! The villa is beautiful, very well equipped, it matches the description perfectly. The house was extremely clean upon arrival and the pool too. The area is close to restaurants and the beach. The host is very proactive, no complaints about this property. 100% satisfied!

Very nice house, nicely decorated and well equipped. Located at the end of 5th Avenue so close to everything but far enough from the bars and the noise of the night. Very secure place and facing a large hotel. Be careful though, construction area so remember to ask the host what types of work are in progress. For us it was a hacksaw every day😢. To consider for naps😅. The team and the owner are very responsive in case of problems or simply questions and it is very much appreciated. Very warm welcome from Samuel.

The place was beautiful. It looked like the pictures everybody had a place to sleep There was seven of us nice and cool when AC was on very clean. It is about a 2 mile walk to the ferry, which wasn’t bad. Lots to see on the way. Great restaurants plenty of stuff to do, the pool was by far the best thing about Elizabeth’s place very clean and well kept Elizabeth herself was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Checking in and out was very easy. I would highly recommend her place. I would definitely book her place again. Thanks again Elizabeth you helped to make beautiful family memories.

The perfect location on 5th avenue all nearby

We loved this place. The pool was very nice and its temperature was perfect. There is still a lot of construction nearby, but this is not in Elizabeth's control.

This was by far the best air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. Casa Jaybird was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The location was perfect, just a short walk from bars, restaurants and shops. It was quiet, safe, and peaceful. Samuel met us at checkin and gave us a tour of the house and showed us how everything worked. He was so friendly!! We were in communication with Eli when we had questions. She was super responsive and seems like such a lovely person. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

Casa Jaybird was a great house. This little gem 💎 is nestled at end, (or beginning depends on how you look at it) of 5th Ave. it is walkable everywhere, with restaurants and stores super close by and the beach is a 12 min walk. The house is amazing and spacious. We were greeted by one of the host with a yummy snack which was awesome since we were quite hungry. We had never been to the area in June and it get quit hot so having the Refreshing little pool was just the cherry on top of the cake. The air conditioner works great I’m every room.. overall it’s and amazing place… Thank you for hosting us Elizabeth!

Casa Jaybird was perfect for our family. It was well located with great restaurants all around at many different price points. We were pleasantly surprised how great the food was and the variety was vast everywhere. The pool area was fantastic although the pool was a bit warm due to the heat wave. My adult kids loved hanging at the pool after dinner. We were extremely close to Playa de Coco and 5th Avenue. There is a huge grocery store on 10th that was an easy walk. Our only issue was the noise. There is major construction on the street and there seems to be a small community of the construction workers and their families living outside next door. Their children and dogs were loud from sun up to about midnight. This is not something that Elizabeth could control at all and I certainly wouldn't downgrade our stay because of this. I just think it's something to be aware of when renting. Thank you Elizabeth for a truly great rental for our family!

Elizabeth was such a great host! She gave clear instructions, was super responsive, and the place was so beautiful! We celebrated my friend's bachelorette here and all the girls had an amazing time. Highly recommend!

Sometimes you get an Airbnb and it’s exactly like it was pictured (if you’re lucky), this place is that and more! The guacamole and chips were delicious! Thought clearly went into this Airbnb with the towels, the kitchen tools, the umbrellas for sun protection, the beach chairs and coolers, shampoo/conditioners, laundry detergent, hammocks, plenty of tanning beds by a clean and crisp pool, etc. Everything felt clean and comfortable here, with plenty of good food and shops around you. Only thing to consider is the neighborhood could be a bit noisy, but it didn’t bother US. Thank you Elizabeth, Lupe, and Samuel :)

My wife and I could not recommend this place more to anyone. A perfect spot for up to 3 couples or a large family. There is plenty of room in the house. the pool is amazing during the very hot days. 10 minute walk to the beach and 1 minutes walk to 5th that has all the night life you could walk. amazing spot. Can’t say enough great things about Elizabeth’s place! It was everything we needed and more. I highly recommend for families. We had two toddlers and having the pool right there was perfect! Less than 10 minute walk to the beach which was also ideal for us. Fabulous stay! Would love to come back!

Fabulous vacation rental!!! Elizabeth’s property was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 children). The space was exactly as described and plenty of space for all of us to feel very comfortable. We booked a couple of tours recommended to us by Elizabeth and they were both fantastic!! Highly recommend it!!Communication with the host was easy and quick and we had a wonderful stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great option in Playa Del Carmen. We spent 9 days at Elizabeth's house. We were 2 families (1 couple with 2 small children and 1 couple with a teenager) and we were very well accommodated. House is just like the ad and is 5 min walk from the beginning of 5th Avenue and 10min from a very good (and relatively empty) beach. Perfect for enjoying Playa del Carmen and Cancun, having an excellent place to rest on the way home. Excellent linens. Positive points: location and decoration. Negative points: the showers are not boxed and have no microwaves. The only point of divergence with the announcement was the pool heating. In our stay, the pool was cold. According to the host, the heater was on, but because it is solar, it only heats 2⁰ more. Either it has no heater or the heater is inefficient, as it did not even improve the water temperature. The outside shower was less cold. But that doesn't hurt the stay at all. I would come back and highly recommend it.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in Elizabeth's place for over a week. It is in an excellent location just off the quieter part of 5th. Having the pool right there in the backyard was perfect and the AC throughout the house was great to have on the hot afternoons. Elizabeth was very responsive to our questions, especially during checkout when our flight got delayed. One thing to note is that there is a lot of construction going on in the area currently so there is lots of banging and drilling occurring throughout the day from early morning. It didn't really bother us but I can see it being an issue for some. Overall we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Elizabeth was there to greet us upon arrival. She communicated with us from point of booking all the way through departure, always checking in to ensure our visit was excellent. The house is very charming and funky. We were a combo of families and in-laws - it was important that there was plenty of space for everyone to do their thing, and there was! The outdoor pool was an oasis, the location was fantastic and the ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms made it very comfortable for us all. Elizabeth is a varsity-level host. She is very invested in her guests having a beautiful holiday.

Had such a great stay! Close to restaurants, the beach, and many shopping. Our group of three families was very comfortable. Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful with any inquiries. Would love to stay here again!

Elizabeth’s place was a great base for my friends and I for about a week as we worked from home and spent time exploring the area. The place is clean and as described. There was plenty of filtered water available for us to drink during the stay and the house felt private and secure behind the gate. It’s well located near the beach and 5th Ave so it wasn’t necessary to have a car. On the couple days we did rent a car, it was very convenient to have a designated parking spot right out front. We had an issue where the wifi stopped working one day due to a late payment but Elizabeth got it fixed within an hour or so. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Everything here was great! The house is really cute and great for family or friends! The area has great things you can walk to or drive. The area does have some construction going on but so does many parts of Mexico. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt very safe at the home and recommend it!

We had an incredible stay at Casa Jay Bird. The host were on point and the place was like an oasis every time we returned from the beach or adventures in the city. They were extremely accommodating to our large family stay including our 8month old baby so we highly recommend!

Our stay at Elizabeth’s home was wonderful! She’s a great hostess. We were greeted by Samuel with a home tour and the best guacamole! Samuel was very responsive and any questions or concerns we had he answered. The house was clean with a relaxing vibe at night, we loved the hammock and the kids made use of the pool everyday! Lots of beds and comfortable for our 2 families. Just fyi There was construction going on near the house the days we stayed which we didn’t mind since our days started early anyway. Que huevos is a restaurant down the street we recommend! Elizabeth, thank you for letting us enjoy your home! We hope to come back sometime in the near future. Five stars all the way around ⭐️

Great location- at the north edge of the super tourist area, so it’s close to restaurants but also quieter and close to calmer beaches. House was great, Pool was perfect. Very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids.

Our group had an AMAZING time at Casa Jaybird! Elizabeth was very thorough & responsive when we needed her. The house was so much fun & such a great place for staying on our vacation. The location is very walkable, felt very safe, but was secluded enough that we weren’t in the madness of 5th Avenue. Highly recommend the taco & margarita night! Casa Jaybird was just what we needed for our week getaway! The location is perfect, so close to amazing restaurants and everything you need but not right in the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave. The place is just as pictured and Elizabeth is very responsive and quick to remedy any situation that arises.

We had an amazing vacation with our family at Casa Jaybird! The home is beautiful, very enjoyable with the pool and close to 5th Ave. it was perfect for all to enjoy either getting out or staying in! With four young college students along they were perfectly suited to be poolside on the deck area doing their schoolwork. And then off on adventures around the area to come “home” to this lovely space was amazing! Full disclosure there is nearby construction but we realized that the growing city has a lot of construction going on all over. Samuel and Elisabeth were very helpful and responsive to any questions throughout the whole experience and it was such a pleasure! Amissa, Josh and family❤️

We loved our 2 week stay at Casa Jay Bird! The house was 100% as described by Elizabeth. In addition, the service and attention are impeccable. Elizabeth made sure we had everything we needed and more, she was quick to answer our questions. Samuel, who took care of our arrival and us during our stay was great and very helpful. Everything easily easily on foot! We only took taxis for off-peak activities Del Carmen or in the evening when our shoes weren't adequate for walking! I would confidently recommend this Airbnb!

We loved our stay in Playa del Carmen. The house is in a great spot - quiet neighborhood but a short walk from everything you need. Nice to be a bit further away from the craziness of Centro and at the more local feeling end of 5th Avenue. Only thing I’d flag is there are some significant stairs that mean this house would be challenging for anyone with small (or even smallish) children. Pool was cold, but maybe we should have chased up host. In the end didn’t matter as quite refreshing

This home is a wonderful reflection of the surrounding local neighborhood and warm hospitality throughout Playa del Carmen. Elli was exceptional to deal with and personalized the experience for myself and my 3 adult children. Her staff, Lupe and Sammy created an unforgettable and delicious Mexican meal with amazing Mezcalita’s and homemade flan to finish. The location was excellent as we could walk a few blocks to great dining,.shopping and downtown fun. Our stay was better than I could have hoped for!

The home is exactly as described in the pictures, it's perfectly maintained and cared for. just 2 minutes from quinta avenida. we didn't spend a lot of time in the home as we did our own excursions each day but it was so nice to come back to this home each evening. we did use the pool a few times and it'so nicely maintained as well. we rented a car and had no problem finding parking either right in front or across the street. Will definitely stay here again. don't hesitate to book!

A fabulous place where the whole family was able to relax. Close to shops and to the beach. The pool is on the small side, but plenty of lounging options around the pool. Full kitchen. Comfortable beds and baths. AC in each of the bedrooms. We asked for a taco night --- it was the best! Three kinds of margaritas and plenty of food --- leftovers for a second night! The menu included traditional margarita as well as habanero margarita and a spicy pitaya margarita (or non-spicy if that's your preference). Samuel bartended and made the drinks --- when he was done, he left us with the remaining mezcal. For food, Lupe prepared salsas, guac, salad, grilled veggies, rice and beans and three types of tacos --- chicken, steak and garbanzo bean. We finished up with a flan for dessert. All in all a fun night in. They took care of everything - including the cleanup -- so we were able to relax and chat and enjoy our dinner.

Seven of us stayed for a week and the location was perfect! Easy to get to the beach, restaurants, ferry trips. Elizabeth also provided many activity suggestions that we were able to do which made our time fly by. The highlight was definitely the taco dinner with mezcal cocktail pairings (if you decide to do this - do it not on your last day because you will have so many yummy leftovers!). Big shout out to Samuel and Lupe for all of their hard work making our stay so warm and welcoming :).

The house is beautiful and in the best location near all the shops and the action of Playa del Carmen. The care taker is so friendly, helpful and responsive. We did some excursions and outings and after those days we felt we came back to an oasis of peace, beauty and calm. I would definitely highly recommend this place. It was certainly worthwhile the money.

Highly responsive host. Excellent communication. Any issues experienced were addressed as fast as possible. The place is exactly like the pictures and is wonderful. My only constructive feedback is that despite asking if there was construction nearby, and the host indicating it would be "done" by the time we arrived, the construction site was in the very early stages of having it's foundation finished. Be prepared for construction sounds during the day if you are staying.

I can't emphasize enough how lovely this place is! Upon check-in, we were greeted by Samuel and Lupe who had prepared fresh guac and pico de gallo and had ice-cold Tecate waiting for us! The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. Any small issue we had Eli was quick to solve. Her communication and hospitality were out of this world! The house is located in a great spot, close to the beach and the main street loaded with restaurants and bars. If you see this listing I say BOOK IT NOW! This home is beautiful. The pics are accurate. It is a 2 minute walk to 5th where everything you need is located. Eli is one of the best hosts I have rented from ever. This area is growing rapidly & with that comes construction which was loud at times. Since I was on vacation this didn’t bother me. Eli did everything she could to ensure we were comfortable & happy. The area is safe & friendly.

This is a very special home. We loved that it actually felt and functioned like a home, unlike so many other places we have seen that had a very sterile feel and were not well-equipped. There were 5 adults in our group and even when it rained there was room for everyone to feel comfortable. The indoor and outdoor living space was fabulous and with the patio doors open, it all flowed together. We have friends in the neighbourhood and it was great fun entertaining like we would at home. The home & kitchen were very well-equipped; except for a microwave & dishwasher, we had everything we have at home. There is an outdoor washroom & shower to wash off the sand before going into the house. The pool has a kiddie end and the deep part is about 4.5 feet, which made it the perfect spot to cool down on those really hot afternoons. There were lots of loungers for reclining or hanging out around the pool. The bedrooms all have a fan & their own air conditioning, as well as windows or patio doors if you prefer the fresh air. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. There was lots of towels, storage space & 3 safes in the house - I think Elizabeth thought of everything! It is very close to the north end of 5th Avenue; the women felt comfortable being out in the evenings, even alone. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. Finally, I can't say enough about how attentive & helpful Elizabeth and her crew were. They were very quick to repsond and she even came over the first night to show us how to use the television. She made excellent recommendations for places to eat & shop. Elizabeth built this house as her own home, you can see the love & care she puts into providing a wonderful experience to anyone who stays there. I highly recommend it.

The best beaches we found were down near the pier and then opposite end at puntos Esmeralda both easy taxi ride from house for around 50 pesos from 10 Ave but coming back you will also need to walk a few blocks away from the beach area and flag one down for best prices they up charge near beach. 5th Ave is very busy and entertaining but can be expensive venture out for better prices and local shops.

Elizabeth’s place looked even better in person than in the pictures. What a beautiful home. The proximity to Ave Quinta is amazing and really helpful when trying to get a quick bite or drink ;). There are a few close beaches and they were all amazing. We had a wonderful time in Casa Jaybird and would recommend it to anyone. House is beautiful and sure makes you feel the culture vibe of Mexico as soon as you walk in. Very welcoming and warm home. If traveling with small/infant children although home is beautiful some aspects of it like the stairs, floors and pool access can be of a concern for a parent. Other than that, place feels like home. One thing we really wish they had was a microwave. With kids that really comes in handy. Any concerns or questions we had during our stay were promptly addressed. Location and access to the beach is awesome. Being right off 5th Ave on a quite end of it is great. The places to eat that were suggested to us by the hostess quickly became some of our favorite spots to eat.

This home was exactly as pictured- BEAUTIFUL! It is in a perfect location for getting to beaches, shopping, entertainment and restaurants. We rented bikes for the week and found that between walking and riding, we never needed a car or taxi to get around. There are many, many fantastic restaurants within a short walk from the house, and Elizabeth is an excellent resource for suggesting where to go. We will be back :)

Our family enjoyed an amazing week in this beautiful house! Communication with Eli and Lupe was super easy and clear. Lupe and her sister made one of the best meals we've ever had. Our kids (and us too) had lots of fun in the pool. We could walked to the beach and to 5th Avenue where there are great restaurants, coffee/ice-cream shops, and souvenir stores. We drove to parks and cenotes (everything was less than an hour away), but you can also take tours and be picked up amd dropped off at the house. Wonderful family vacation! This is a beautiful, clean house in Playa del Carmen that certainly holds up to the photos you see. Our family loved hanging out in the pool to cool off and slept comfortably during our stay. Easy access to shops, restaurants and bars as well as the beach! I highly recommend you check with Eli regarding day trips to take. Also, don't miss the opportunity to book a chef at home. This was one of the best meals we had during our stay. This house is a fantastic choice if you are looking to get away from the crowds and limited options that come with a resort. This place is beautiful, we came here for over two weeks and enjoyed every minute. The place is well-appointed, everything you need and Elizabeth is so helpful with anything you ever need. She always responds quickly and any issues were resolved within minutes. The location is within minutes of everything you need, a quick walk to 5th and also a quick walk to the beach. The house was sparkling clean, and I’m very picky about things like that. 100% recommended and would stay here anytime.

5 stars all around! We stayed at Eli’s place for a month with 5 kids and had the most amazing time! The house exceeded our expectations! The place is spotless, in a great location (lots of restaurants in walking distance and the beach is a short walk away!), and Eli and her team went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Beds are super comfy, AC kept us cool, and we felt super safe in her home. Eli also arranged a housekeeper and a nanny for us - the most amazing and helpful people! Eli is so good at what she does and has a super professional team of people working with her! Thank you Eli and team!!!!

We loved our stay at Eli’s place. Our three young kids particularly enjoyed the pool. The location is great for 5th Avenue and it’s a short walk to the beach. There are some good local restaurants a short walk away - we had takeaway from The Pitted Date, Ojo de Agua and Salento - a great Italian. The house is well kept was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. We’d love to stay again if we’re ever back in Playa del Carmen.

Elizabeth's home in Playa is even more beautiful than the pictures, just book it, you won't regret it!! Her attention to detail is great, communication was excellent. Thanks again for an amazing vacation, even in the midst of a global pandemic.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Eli's place for about a month and loved everything it. Eli was a phenomenal host and so helpful from the start to the end of our trip. She was quick to address any issues we had and was so accommodating. She gave us a wonderful tour of the place upon our arrival and made us feel so welcome. The colors of the home are beautiful and unique. We loved how much space there was and the beautiful view from the roof. The location was perfect, just a 3-5 minute walk to the beach, and super close to 5th Ave but away from the noise. We really appreciated the house cleaning by Lupe and Rosillo, they were fantastic and left the place sparkling, we highly recommend them! Eli's place is fantastic, we recommend it to anyone 100%!

W-O-W! If this house is available, do not hesitate! This place is simply magical, filled with BEAUTY everywhere. We adored our stay !!! Eli is a great host, it shows he really cares about her guests and she put a lot of energy in the creation of this stunning house. Plus the interior design is breathtaking. The beach is only 5 minutes walk, at the corner of the famous 5th avenue and all the shops, restaurants, etc. You will love your experience!

Elizabeth was one of the most helpful host. She was always available to answer our questions, send us recommendations about where-to-go, what-to-do. The house is as beautiful as shown on the pictures. We enjoyed eating breakfast at Zorro's and got membership at the local italian restaurant... SO GOOD! The beach is only a couple blocks from the house and the neighborhood is super safe. We would totally return there next time we visit Playa del Carmen.

Casa Jaybird was a true delight! It’s absolutely gorgeous with every amenity that you could possibly need. The layout of the house is fantastic for groups, everyone is able to have their own bathroom and the beds are all large and comfortable. Our group of six (three couples) stayed one week and never once felt crowded or a lack of privacy. While the house is charming and beautiful, the location of the house is the true value. You’re steps away from stores, the bustle of 5th, restaurants, and the gorgeous ocean. We frequented the beach club Mandarino, which was really nice and never crowded (compared to other clubs closer to the center of town). While you aren’t right in the CENTER of town, we still walked the entire beach from the ferry port to the house, and you’re just far enough away to not be bothered by any extra street noise. Lastly, communication with Elizabeth made the whole stay easy. When one of the air conditioners went out, she took care of it immediately. She was always just a message away, and all directions, recommendations, and expectations were clear and concise. We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay in Elisabeth's villa was memorable. The villa is splendid, spacious and we had everything at hand for a perfect stay. Elisabeth is an incredible host, charming and very present when we had questions. I would definitely recommend renting Elisabeth's villa. Do not hesitate, book this place if it's available. The pictures barely do it justice! The place was so comfortable and in the best neighbourhood in Playa. Eli is so sweet and the communication was a dream. You can count yourself lucky to stay here!

We loved our stay at Elizabeth’s villa. She is is lovely and was very responsive to all our questions. The villa is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, sparkling clean and only steps to the beach. We would love to stay again!

Elizabeth’s home was perfect for our group of four adults and two toddlers. We were already familiar with Playa del Carmen and picked the house knowing the location was ideal for us. The house is spacious, comfortable and impeccably maintained. Elizabeth and her staff were great. We will be coming back to this house in our next visits to Playa.

This house exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect since it's close enough to the heart of the city, but not too close to hear all the noise. It's also 5 min walk to the beach, markets and restaurants. Elizabeth accommodated our few requests, was very responsive and checked on us regularly via SMS. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Eli's place in Playa Del Carmen! The house itself is clean and spacious, in a quiet location just a few blocks from the beach and many restaurants. Eli communicated quickly with us during our stay, everything was perfect. We felt safe - parked our rental car in a designated spot on the street and there was a safe for our items. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth's house was absolutely PERFECT for our family! The house is beautifully decorated with a nice, open concept downstairs. Four bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs, gave us each our own privacy. Beds are very comfortable and I slept amazingly well while there. This house has good energy. We loved the location of this house because we prefer the North end of Playa. It is walking distance to everything and we always felt safe. It is also directly across the street from the Grand Fifty Hotel in case you have more than 8 in your party. This house exceeded all our expectations and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Elizabeth for your fantastic hospitality!
