Book it, you won't regret it.

This home is wonderful in every way. It was a true immersive Beach Sayulita experience. From sitting on the porch, watching the surfers from the comfort of your own home to running down for a quick dip whenever you wanted to made this home stand out. The music from the beach club next door was loud at times but all in all it did not impede our joy of this property. Having down Pedro‘s deliver us breakfast every morning was special, having this room service available made this stay even more comfortable. If you’re looking for a home with all the charm of Mexico, this Home has it all The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the bedding of high-quality. The owner was most receptive to any of our questions or concerns.

We had the best time! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how amazing the place was. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Sayulita, with easy access to the beach, making it perfect if you're looking to surf. The crew was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and super responsive throughout our stay. It's also the perfect spot if you want to walk to great bars and restaurants at night. We'll definitely be coming back!

Besides, I'm being charged for something that we didn't even see when we arrived at the place, and it's never delivered in person; they always send unknown people.

We are only asking that you pay for all the items you stole and damaged.

Location! Location! Location!! This was one of my favorite birthday trips I have been on. The house was clean and ready for our stay. The cleaners made our beds every day and did a quick wipe down clean every day. Alejandra the property manager made the trip flawless. If you are lucky and this house is available for your trip, I recommend booking it. Everything from watching people learn how to surf in the morning to the amazing sunsets made this house the gem it is. You can hear music at night from the restaurants and bars next door but I concentrated more on the joy of hearing the waves break in the morning to consider it an issue. Thank you for making your home available for vacations Christina!! We tried to treat the home as our own and hopefully lived up to your standards by leaving the home the way we found it. I am looking forward to coming back and staying here again!

That is not what Alejandra said at all and is untrue. Plus, this was not an issue for you so it is misleading to mention as if it was. And the house was cleaned very well before your arrival. I am confused why you would leave such an unkind review rather than reach out to us during your stay. Hopefully people we see beyond this and read reviews from other guests. Also, it is very clear from the listing that the house is located on the main beach, not a private beach. My staff also just informed me that you refused the daily cleaning service.

Casa Playa is perfect in every way! Christina is the most gracious host. The staff, Reyna and Dani, are so friendly and helpful. We love coming to Sayulita every year! We feel extremely safe and right at home in this amazing SUP/surf community! Everything we could possibly need within a few block radius. We ordered from Don Pedros frequently throughout our stay, excellent service and food delivered right to the Casa is a major perk! The private beach location is a dream for our SUP/surf crew! Thanks a million Christina!! We are so grateful to have such an amazing experience in Sayulita and can’t wait to came back next year!! 💙🌊

Our favorite place to stay in all of Mexico!! Perfect as always!! Thank you so much, Christina!!

Amazing home on the beach at Sayulita. The home was beautiful and so convenient to everything. It was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. Just somethings to know. If you are looking for a remote get away, this is not your place. It is in the heart of the town. On the beach, in front, was a surf rental tent and a massage tent (AMAZING massages for $35). You can take walks down the beach with your coffee in hand (beautiful in the morning...quiet). The weekends are crazy because everyone goes to this beach. Friday and Saturday nights were noisy with the sound from a dance club that was nearby (until 2am). Bring your headphones. My twenty something kids loved it. I would go back in a heartbeat. Alejandra, the house manager, was easily reached and even took my husband to a reputable urgent care when he cut himself surfing. The restaurant next door will bring your food and pick up your dishes (like a hotel). This home exceeded our expectations. LOVED IT! Highly recommend.

We love our stay at Casa Playa! The view was beautiful and it was SO close to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and on the area of private beach right in front of the house. We walked less than 5 minutes for great massages, excellent dinners, and ice cream. It was just what we were looking for! We had read in some other reviews about loud music from nearby clubs. There was some music on Monday night but it wasn't loud enough to bother us in the back bedrooms (as those reviews had stated). Tuesday and Wednesday nights were quiet.

Such a place to stay in Sayulita! The bedrooms are super comfortable, great beds and AC. The big main living space is perfect for reading, chilling and playing games at night. Our family loved the incredible location - literally on the sand, a great swimming and surfing spot, but centrally located to everything in town - everything is walkable. Don Pedro’s next door has great food and service. The club music didn’t bother us most of the time. The fans block it out easily at night. The sound system in the house covers it, too. We loved that the door to the beach has a code, we could leave our valuables behind and just enjoy the ocean without messing with a key. Ale, the house manager, is friendly and responsive, and Reyna, the housekeeper, is so sweet and did our laundry for a little extra fee (and did it SO quickly). Don’t miss this little slice of heaven. We hope to be back someday. 💙

Thank you for your wonderful review. So glad you had a great time!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Perfect location right on the beach and beautiful house. We frequent PV and this was our first time to Sayulita. The town is amazing and the people are so friendly. You can walk anywhere and feel safe day or night. Loved venturing out to all the restaurants and shops, there is so much to see. Alejandra was so helpful in setting up our transportation and the tour to Hidden Beach. (Hidden Beach is not as easy as it looks, you must be in good shape and a very strong swimmer). The beach music does play ALL night long however the two back rooms were quiet with the fans going. The third room was swapped with the TV room, it didn't seem loud in there but we didn't use because the bathroom is not attached. Don Pedro's restaurant next door is very good and so helpful if you need anything. Always had a great table for us and even filled a bag of ice to take to the house. If you need a pool day, Sayulinda Hotel offers day passes for $800 pesos.

I am so glad you had a great time in Sayulita, its a fun town! Thank you so much for letting me know about the leak!

Fun house to rent if you want to be in the action with lots of things to do close by. We went with our 18+ year old kids so we wanted to party and have fun. Probably not a house to rent if you’re looking for a super quiet neighborhood. The view is great from the front of the house and the patio is awesome. We cooked a couple meals in the kitchen which had the basics but no microwave. The biggest draw back is the club that plays very loud music literally all night. It didn’t ruin our trip but it was kind of crazy the city lets them do that! Over all we partied and had a great time. Sayulita if a fun little town.

Amazing! We loved our time at Casa Playa. Relax on the deck, take in the view and sun, then take a few steps to the beach for surfing and boogie boarding, and finish with a soak in the hot tub while enjoying tunes on the impressive sound system! The pictures don’t do it justice—it’s gorgeous. Local contact Alejandra is the best—immediately responsive, so helpful, and full of tips for making the most of your time in Sayulita. Don Pedros next door is a real asset; we ordered delicious food and had it delivered right to our table. The staff (Roberto y Miguel, two thumbs up!) were incredibly kind and accommodating. The only downside is the loud club music (totally out of the host’s control -including mention in case it helps compel change!). The music was bumping until about 4 a.m. and was completely at odds with the peaceful beach vibe. Overall, highly recommend Casa Playa. Everyone we encountered was lovely, the home is over the top gorgeous, and it was a trip to remember!

If you’re second guessing booking this house, stop what you’re doing and book it! I was genuinely excited to leave this review because the house is even better than the listing looks. Could not have been a more perfect house for our trip. We came down for a friend’s wedding and stayed very comfortably with 3 couples total. The house is RIGHT on the beach with its own private area and chairs. Amazing private deck with a hot tub, very cool indoor/outdoor massive living room that we hung out in every night. Walk to everywhere in town including an awesome restaurant right next door. The property manager Alejandra was AMAZING and upon request was able to have coconuts delivered to the house and was generally so helpful. Yes music is playing on the beach all night, but they recently switched the front bedroom closest to the beach to a room not adjacent to the beach. Our friends slept totally great in that room with a sound machine. We couldn’t hear a thing in the back rooms.

We loved our stay at Casa Playa & have already booked our return trip! The property & location are perfect. The dreamy bungalow, private beach, hot tub & delicious food delivery from Don Pedro’s can’t be beat! Thanks so much, Christina!

Best guests! My staff miss you. Until next year

This place is stunning. It is incredibly spacious, while being charming. We stayed two nights with our two boys (7 and 9) and we all had a great time. Access to the beach was the highlight for them, but being right in town able to get to shops and restaurants was perfect for us. The outdoor lighting and stereo system made the entire experience feel high end. Yes, the club noise was annoying, but I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and bring friends! After having visited PV for many years, Sayulita was the perfect experience we had been looking for. Wish we could stayed longer!

If you are looking for beach living this is your place! Very comfortable property with flexible living space indoor and out. Great amenities with private beach, large deck and patio area, hot tub, and outdoor BBQ. It is next to the busy part of the beach and bars which can be noisy at night. Crank the bedroom fans up to high to mask the noise. The home surprisingly private given its beach location. The cleaning crew came daily to tidy up. Overall a great stay and we would gladly book again!

The place is quite literally amazing. It's right next to a restaurant called Don Pedro's where we ate most meals... they even cater and bring the food to us. It's steps from the beach which allowed for morning afternoon and evening swims. The place place was literally breathtakingly perfect... and then it got dark... and it was time to catch some sleep... and the nightmare began. There are multiple bars a few hundred feet from this paradise that place that play loud music at night until 5am... then start again at 10:30am the next morning. EVERY DAY. It's brutal. Only one room in the house is sound proof enough to sleep in. The droning subwoofer of the dance beat resonates through every room... making it difficult to sleep, watch a show, or even listen to our own music (on their perfect Sonos system). I can't believe there's not a local law that requires quiet on the beach after 10... it's even difficult to hear the surf over the droning bass.

Thank you Nick for your feedback. It will be brought up at the Sayulita business owners meeting with the government today. We recently had a local change of government and they have done a fantastic job of clearing over 100 illegal operators out of town. These bars and some of the massage tents are the last to go and I believe the bars were retaliating to the changes with obnoxious hours and volume last weekend. It has been a long hard battle but Sayulita is returning to its former beauty. We expect the bars will be heavily regulated or removed within the next few weeks. There is a strong push to have order before the Dia de Los Muertos celebrations. My apologies again.

My friend and I stayed at Casa la Playa for a few nights on a guys getaway! Needless to say the wives are jealous and we will be bringing the families back to stay here again. The location is fantastic as you can walk to everything. You are right in the middle of this fantastic little beach town with so much to do right at your toes. The beach and water are so refreshing and love the open air style of the living area (while still being able to sleep in the AC). Appreciate you sharing your home and hope to stay again.

Host Response

Hi, If you think you can all fit we would be happy to host the families!

We found ourselves in a bind at another hotel and didn't feel safe staying there. I contacted Christina in the evening and we were able to check in 30 minutes later, even though the house wasn't ready. Staff were actively cleaning before we arrived. The home is gorgeous, comfortable, spacious, and safe, with all the essentials. As shown in the photos, the indoor-outdoor concept is unbeatable, lovely to hear the ocean sounds. The home has patio loungers and a small private beach with more chairs. Location is amazing, close to shops and restaurants. We didn't rent golf carts and Uber found us for a ride to the airport. As others mentioned, there is an outdoor beach club in front of Don Pedro's (almost next door) and it does play loud music late night. The home has been rearranged, 2 of the rooms are in in the back. With doors closed and fans on, the noise is minimal. Communication was quick and thorough during our stay from Christina and Alejandra. Would definitely return! Thank you!

This home is absolutely incredible. The oceanfront loungers and private beach made for a great place to spend a relaxing day. This home is very centrally located which has advantages (super convenient to walk to nearby shops/restaurants) and disadvantages. Be prepared to deal with considerable noise coming from the beach club that is very close by. The music began around sundown and plays nearly all night. It was very loud in all rooms of the house but with fans on and earplugs in, sleeping in the back two bedrooms was doable.

We went to Sayulita and stayed at Casa Playa for my birthday trip, and were very impressed by the home, cleanliness, and overall coziness. The indoor outdoor beachfront living was amazing, and watching the waves all day was a dream! Alejandra was amazing at communicating through our stay, and the Housecleaner and maintenance crew were top-notch. The beds were super comfortable, and we had everything we needed :) The only thing I would say, it’s not in a quiet place. There’s a club nearby on the beach that plays loud music until the wee hours, and guests in one of the rooms heard it the most. The two back rooms were fine with white noise sound machines. Overall, the home itself, and Alejandra, were amazing, and we really appreciate everything. Oh! And Don Pedro’s restaurant next-door is great! They will deliver food and drinks to the house, and it’s delicious.

This was our second time staying in this home in Sayulita. It's a very beautiful space and works well for our family of 5. It's wonderful to be right on the main beach and close to all of the best shops and restaurants (especially Don Pedros right next door!). The way the front of the house opens up with the accordion doors is amazing, real indoor-outdoor living. This location is also close by to Los Muertos Beach and a few new bars & restaurants that have opened up further south of town. The first time we stayed here we were surprised at the noise levels but we were prepared for it this time. The one drawback is that there is a new outdoor beach club next door that plays very loud electronic music with strong base throughout the night into mid-morning every night. Even with the doors closed, air conditioners on, ear plugs in - you can still very clearly hear the music through the night. Noise levels aside, this is an amazing Airbnb and I would still highly recommend!

Casa Playa was fantastic for our group, 3 couples. Christina was excellent and responsive to booking and questions. We were put in contact with Alejandra who was the property guest manager and was so sweet and helpful! She recommended a local catering company that we had prepare a nice 7 course sit down dinner at the house one evening and it made it really special. The house its self was very spacious and comfortable! The biggest worry prior to our stay were the comments about the new beach-night club that’s just a couple doors down. It does play music literally from 8pm-6am every night…but the two back bedrooms are very quiet. They reconfigured the master bedroom from the front of the house to the media room that you see in the pictures, this actually worked out great and you can just hear a slight bass sound but easily drowned out with the sound of the fans and ear plugs if needed. Actually was not an issue for us at all. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time in Sayulita! We loved the amazing views from the family room and outside deck and spent a lot of time there. It was really nice to have beach chairs on the deck so close to the water & we loved laying out there and getting sun while watching the waves, palm trees sway and giant lizard on the beach. It was nice to not have to go sit in the chairs on the beach because it was so crowded down there. My kids surfed everyday and were able to rent boards right in front of the house. The one downfall of this location is the close proximity to the club that blasts dance music all day and most of the night. Our daughter wasn't able to sleep in the front room even with the fan & the two noise makers that we brought. You can also hear the music during the day but we played our music on the house indoor & outdoor speakers so that helped. The proximity to the town is so convenient too. We walked to town several times a day for great food and shopping. Overall, great place!

I booked this as a family vacation for my wife and 3 teenage/young adult children, most of us having lived in the Riviera Maya for 20+ years so familiar with the Mexico beach scene. Based on the listing alone we concluded it was perfect for us with 3 bedrooms and otherwise (positively) consistent with the other reviews here. However, in reality only 2 of the bedrooms were usable due to the noise from the bar which blasted music 24 hours/day for 6 of the 8 days we stayed. We moved one of our kids into the media room which had a sofa bed that was functional but not nearly the same as a king sized bed. I suggested we move the king bed into the media room we were told no (under no uncertain terms) due to potential for scratching the floor. Due to no mention on the listing page or any communication of this during the booking process, it is hard to recommend Casa Playa unless the bar shuts down, they reduce the nightly rate, or they list this only as a 2 bedroom location (with noise).

Place did look a little different aesthetically from the pictures but still very cute and nicely put together. Comforters we rough and scratchy but understand the need for durability. The location was awesome because it was right on the beach super close to a lot of shops and restaurants but there was an outdoor spot that played music until 7am. It did make it difficult to stay asleep some nights but not impossible. Use the earplugs and turn the fan on to drown it out. Little crabs do come up the floorboards at night in the common area but they scatter when they see you and was more cool to see than creepy! There was no real negative thing to say but onto the positives, beautiful sunsets, prime beach real estate, basically have room service from Don Pedro’s, cleaning crew was efficient and kind, the house is a phenomenal experience. We took a cruise to the islands to see the blue footed boobies and had a mezcal tasting from David with a taste of sayulita. I can’t recommend him enough!

Amazing location walking distance to everything Sayulita has to offer. Beautiful Mexican style oceanfront house with amazing views, a killer deck with multiple seating areas and outdoor shower, and a private beach. Rooms have cool A/C and the common area opens up to the outdoors with great fans. It has a great media room, but we spent all our time playing games or sitting outside. Alejandra is an amazing local contact with connections for boats, activities, groceries, and the best transportation to/from the airport. The daily staff were amazing caring for the property and keeping everything clean and fresh. Don Pedro’s next door feels like an extension to the house with great food and drinks. Only negative during our stay was the new beach club which was extremely loud at all hours. Earplugs were provided, fans helped with white noise, and the Bose speaker system let us play music during the day. The media room and back bedrooms weren’t as bad as the oceanfront room during the night.

Host Response

Im so sorry! That club operates then gets shut down. No one goes but they still blast the music. You review will help us close them down for good I hope.

Great location. On the beach. A block from the center of town. Walk to everything. However, there is a dance/beach club two doors down. The first day we were there the music played over 24 hours non-stop. It was so loud, even with ear plugs you couldn’t sleep. Thankfully it stopped around 11:00pm the second night. This place is a 10 without the dance music blaring. If the dance music is going next door I’d give it a 5. Even if that’s you’re thing, it gets old really fast. There is a restaurant next door and they will bring the food to you and clean up. Very nice if you just want to chill. We would go back to this place for sure.

Host Response

Thank you for your feedback. We have been working with the authorities to have the illegal bar on the beach which is not Don Pedros Restaurant that is next door but a short block past . We were informed it was a temporary set up for the Mexican break and will be forced to close.

This place was an absolute dream! We traveled with very young kids (6mos-3yo) and needed a place convenient to the beach and town and could be a comfortable home base. We put kids down for naps and still enjoyed vacation with the open air setting, private beach, hot tub and ample space. Kids loved watching all the reptiles, digging in the sand and collecting shells/rocks. The beach is a fun and lively scene. We rented surfboards, received massages on the beach, got daily tacos in town - all footsteps from the house. Alejandra was amazing, stocked our house with provisions before arrival, facilitated airport transfers and provided recommendations all week. The house cleaner and maintenance person were so sweet and helped us with all the baby laundry. Christina was very accommodating and responsive - she created a beautiful space here! The only downside was the noise at night due to a new bar. The hosts are working to remedy this and ultimately we still had a great experience!

Most amazing Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Stayed here with a group of friends in town for a wedding - everyone who didn’t stay with us was so jealous at how breathtaking the house was. It looks exactly like the pictures or even better. The experience was made even better by Alejandra who coordinated numerous vehicles to transport us around the area to events, as well as personal chefs she recommended who cooked four delicious and beautiful meals for us. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience.

This home is in an incredible location, walking distance to everything. It was nice to be able to lounge on the deck and walk to the water to swim. It's a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our stay.

Dreamiest bungalow! Don’t think twice - book it! We had such great memories here with my family of 4. It was WAY more space than we could need. Our daily cleaner, Reigna was so sweet to do our laundry and the manager, Alejandra was helpful finding us after getting lost upon arrival. We enjoyed the heated tub it always stayed around 104° and made pretty sunrise / sunset / surfer views! We don’t cook so thankfully Don Pedro’s restaurant was delicious next door. I’ve never eaten so much Lobster!! It never felt too loud, even though it was in the hub of the city! Thanks for the memories <3

The place is beautiful and one of a kind in Sayulita. The location was a bit hard to find initially, but very convenient once found. The place certainly could have been cleaner (food remains outside, appliances not wiped down), but the host was very accomodating in allowing us to come early and drop off our bage while the space was being prepared, so we are very forgiving if they rushed the cleaning on our behalf. Very convenient single car parking space available. The 'private beach' exists but isn't really a beach spot you want to hang out in. The back patio is where it is at. It also has a small sand area. The beach area is fine, just if you want beach, go to the beach. Great location. Wonderful view. Comfortable beds. Stagger your showers as hot water isn't overly plentiful. This place would be great for larger groups.

Renter Beware The place is awesome. The owner is not. If you're looking for a great house, this place is one of the best in Sayulita. It's right on the beach, close to town, has epic views, and is very tidy. The big doors open up so you have a unique inside / outside experience. It's also away from the main strip so it's quite at night. Plus the wifi works pretty well. As for the owner, I've been staying in Airbnb homes around the world the last decade and I have yet to have an owner experience that is this hostile. After leaving we were asked to pay another $300 on top of the $3,600 we spent. First we accidentally broke a french press when making coffee, charging us $100 for it. Second, we left make up on a towel and asking for $ for that as well. Lastly she expects you to tip the cleaning staff in addition to the cleaning fees. We left a tip, but is saying we didn't and is asking us to pay more. This is the only 1st star review I've ever given.

Host Response

This is a vindictive review by a renter who was asked to take accountability for damaging property.

The house is amazing - a perfect set up and beautifully designed, right on the beach and close to town - so many cute coffee shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Don Pedro’s cocktails and appetizers every night before venturing into town for dinner. Not great if you’re looking for peace and quiet but if you want to enjoy the music and be in the heart of Sayulita life then this is a great spot. We loved it.

Thank you very much for your review and feedback. I completely agree, Sayulita was definitely more lively this year over the holidays. Feliz Año Nuevo

Really beautiful house that puts you right on the water, which is beautiful! Each room is thoughtfully laid out with private bathrooms in each. The open living space is the perfect spot for hosting in-house dinners or larger gatherings. The speaker system is top notch! 10/10! The house is right in town which made travel to shops and restaurants super easy - literally a 3-5 minute walk to most everything. There is also a house manager who is lovely and super communicative. She was helpful at coordinating airport shuttles and groceries, although next time I would do some shopping on our own as they were a bit pricey. The restaurant next door was a nice perk and made it easy to grab a last minute din reservation or take out food. Highly recommend the shrimp and bacon pizza. We also added some activities including a taco tasting tour and surfing lessons which I would also recommend.

Our stay at casa playa was magical. Everything was perfect from the moment we booked on Airbnb to the time we left the house. Alejandra and Nelly are excellent at communicating and were able to accommodate all our needs. The location of the house is spectacular within walking distance of everything. Rent all the water toys you need from Eric at Get up Stand Up located right in front of the house. It was a little loud at night in terms of outside noise from the front bedroom but the other bedrooms that back the street were more quiet. Overall 5/5 stars. Perfect magical spot.

Amazing! House is exactly as described, the location cannot get any better! Views are beautiful, private beach and sitting in the jacuzzi is perfect for relaxing. Christina and team are great host. The house concierge setup transportation for us, no rental car needed. You are 2 minutes walking distance to town. The house has everything needed to cook great meals. We found that Il Rustica was our favorite restaurant as we had a dinner and brunch there. Everyone should enjoy this home!

A+ Airbnb! Booked this place for my husband’s 40th bday and we had such a great time! Clean home, fantastic location located right on the beach and next to a great restaurant(don pedros), and very comfortable for a group of 5 people. No shortage of places to hang out. Christina has a very attentive staff team that can assist with anything and everything. We will be coming back to make more memories. Thank you so much!

This villa was authentically beautiful with great amenities. Love the great room with the sliding doors that opens to the very roomy deck. Love that it’s literally walking distance to everything, including our favorite restaurant, Don Pedro’s. We loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the deck, and just spending quality time with our family. Christina is a fantastic host, and the staff were professional. We fell in love with this villa and Sayulita. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is amazing!! Design and decor are fabulous. Well cared for and a beauty!! The location is both a blessing and a curse. It is right on the beach and so fantastic to hang out during the day. The only problem is in the evenings you can hear the bass from town pretty late. This may even be a bonus for some and is probably the case most places you stay in town. All in all It is an amazing beach house!
