A very nice and very well laid out house. We loved that each room had its own full bathroom.

Absolutely wonderful stay! plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, large kitchen and dining area. with in walking distance of the city center where you can get food, groceries, and souvenirs. Ana was very helpful and friendly when greeting us!

Excellent place for large families, it's a bit expensive but it's excellent, spacious, each room has its own bathroom, everything is super clean and the jacuzzi is excellent for socializing.

I went with my family , the truth was very good , we felt right at home, Ana tried us wonderfully , always helpful and attentive to everything. My family was happy , the location is good, we would definitely stay again without any problem. The house is very complete.

Unfortunately we did not stay at Casa del Abuelo, but Arturo and his staff were always responsive and kind.

Beautiful house, organized, and very clean. Nice and quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and patio, including having a nice rest at the hammocks. It is close to downtown, only a few minutes walk, so that's a big plus.

The place has everything you need to have a comfortable, pleasant and quiet stay.

Arturo, was very helpful and caring. He knew we were a large group of 14 and he was there everyday to make sure we have what we need for the day! I was very impressed with the spa and the kitchen!! Easy to find when we made dinner or breakfast. Also, the bedrooms had towels cleaned every day! The location of the property is in a walking distance to the downtown. Easy to travel to any of the tourist places. We loved it. This is a place that I highly recommend.

Quiet stay, very nice house.

Ana the housekeeper was very welcoming and flexible to accommodate our late arrival. The accommodation is very big and very clean and suitable for large group. Outdoor Jacuzzi was clean too. The laundry room was a bonus as was the shop opposite to buy detergent. Excellent all round and definitely recommend!

The house is wonderful, very big & spacious, clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay. We were however a little bit surprised and uncomfortable about two things: Firstly, there are staff who are on the premises almost all the time, a housekeeper and a nightwatchman (both of whom were very nice). Secondly there was a CCTV camera pointing at the patio and garden area of the house, including the jacuzzi area. I understand that these are things that some people might appreciate for additional comfort and security but for our group, who value privacy and are happy to clean up after ourselves this wasn't what we were looking for and had we known we may have looked for somewhere else. Like I said, everything else was wonderful, I only mention this so others will know when booking as I didn't notice it mentioned before.

Excellent decoration and quality of facilities. Everything is as described in the listing. Convenient location, close to restaurants and places of interest.

The place is clean, nice, there is up to a very friendly candle maker, the jacuzzi failed to work due to problems with the pump that cleans the water, there is internet missing cable TV but we were not going to watch TV but a family ride. Ana did us clean once and waited for us upon arrival and departure, if we would return without hesitation

It is very nice, clean, the sailor is a very good, attentive and responsible person. The person who received us was very attentive. Only if I would ask them to have a barbecue.

I had a good stay

This place is pristine! After spending several nights in the jungle this was the perfect place to relax, rest, and clean up! There are a ton of spaces for people to spread out, shower, and unwind. The design is beautiful! It’s just a bit out of the way and on the back end of town, but if you are looking for a high class place to stay Casa de Abuelo is your place. Ana is super helpful and friendly when checking in. Would definitely stay here again.

Arturo was very helpful, we arrived way later than we planned due to rental car issues and even though we arrived after midnight he was there to greet us and make sure that we had everything we needed. The residence was nice and peacful during the evenings. Walking distance to some local shops and food. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Apart from the fact that the place is very nice, pleasant, and clean, and the beds are super comfortable, a plus was the service from the staff, both Ms. Ana and the night manager, Adán. They are excellent people. La Casa del Abuelo is highly recommended.

This place is great. So beautifully designed, private and close enough to walk to the plaza and other spots. the rooms each have their own full bathroom and the patio with the hammock and jacuzzi were such a nice touch. also each room had their own AC unit. The pictures posted really don't do it justice

A lovely, modern house with a rich history Everything was meticulously clean, the welcome was very warm, and they made check-in and the allocation of guests very easy. We stayed as a group of 11 friends, and it was nice to know that there was a nightstand. The girl who welcomed us helped us with all the information and more. The beds and pillows were wonderful; we slept like royalty. Highly recommended

Excellent large accommodations, great for large groups. Easy walk to fruit stand, small grocery, and central plaza. Bit far from tourist area. Jacuzzi is ambient temperature (ie not heated). Showers were good. Beds comfortable. Kitchen small and not that well stocked with pots and pans, but okay. Area is a bit noisy, but that’s to be expected. There is a washer and dryer but these can only be used when Ana the caretaker/reception/cleaning staff person was present. All in all we found Arturo to be very accommodating, the house very much as advertised, service during the stay attentive and helpful and for a large group a very good value. We highly recommend and would definitely rent again.

The house was in great condition. It is not too far from the center of town. There is a night person who watches the house during the night hours and stays in the additional utility room of the house. There is a washing machine but only accessible when the night person is present. The architecture and decor of the house is lovely.
