This house was by far my favorite Airbnb experience ever. We live in Hawaii on the gorgeous North Shore but this was far more peaceful than home! Perfect serene place to get away from it all. So eclectic & like a real paradise. Me & my kids woke up the first morning just so excited to take in our surroundings. Our local friends stayed with us & used to own a restaurant in Nicaragua, this kitchen had everything needed to create scrumptious meals & drinks. The food forest tour was amazing. We had a wonderful day at the volcano & hot springs but the best part was enjoying this house & all it had to offer.

Paul and Bhavari were exceptional hosts. They greeted us and showed us around. It’s tucked away so you feel like you are in your own world.

This slice of paradise was a magical retreat for our family of six. The house is a beautiful and quirky restored clubhouse with bedrooms and a primary kitchen/dining/living area that open onto an outdoor sanctuary space complete with fire pit and loungers. Two additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are located upstairs. The pool and hot tub overlook the property’s fruit trees and the picturesque Lake Arenal. Paul and Bhavani were very responsive, appearing as if by magic when we reached out with a need, providing local recs and guidance. Our kids were able to explore the grounds freely, excited to forage for fruit from the food farm surrounding the house. Paul and Bhavani provided a tour of the fruit trees and helped cut open a jackfruit. The house is located up a steep rural road; a 4x4 vehicle is a must. Grocery/restaurants are ~30 minute drive, La Fortuna and Monteverde ~2 hrs. We split our time between relaxing at the house and exploring the region. Highly recommend!

This is a beautifully unique estate with a spectacular view of lake Arenal. House is well equipped. Right outside the front gate there is a cow field. Personally my toddler loved the cows. Pool is heated by solar panels, still more on the cooler side, but after one dip your body adjusts. The hot tub is HOT. The owners are very kind folks. Bathrooms towels are white and pristine. House is located about 2hrs from LaForuna, Rio Celeste, Monteverde, depending on the traffic you may arrive sooner. Keep in mind this estate is also located on a gravel road 5km long. We had a great time.

The views at this eclectic home are epic, and it’s a great place to spend time. We traveled as two families with teenagers (7 persons), and found the property very accommodating for our group. We would recommend a 4 x 4 rental vehicle, as the driveway to the property is steep. The surroundings are very quiet, and it’s a very private, safe location. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor seating areas/fire pit make this a place that’s easy to hang out. We cooked a lot and found the kitchen to be workable and well stocked. Hot water worked great in all bathrooms as well no AC, but we didn’t need it with the wonderful Arenal breeze and cooler mountain temperatures. Wi-Fi worked well for general use. The only callout is that it does take a bit of time to get to the usual Costa Rican tourist activities from the property, so drive time should be planned into your travels. If you’re looking for a place to really unplug and recharge in comfort, this is it.

Very original accommodation Spacious and very colorful We were a group of 7 and everyone had their own space and full bathroom. 4x4 required to access it Directly in the mountains with magnificent views of Lake Arenal. Located 1h-1h30 from Fortuna, Arenal Volcano, Tenerio Volcano, Monteverde, etc. If you want a zen/yoga place This is the perfect place to relax. With a central propane outdoor fireplace, a covered hot tub (no whirlpool) and a swimming pool (unheated so very cool) The place is not modern but the kitchen is very ( too ) well equipped. There's everything you need to cook. Gigantic propane stove, BBQ, etc. The hosts live on site next to the house so it's safe when we leave to visit. A very friendly and discreet couple.

If it were possible to give a rating above 5*, I would do it for this Airbnb location. To start, this villa is is one of the more perfectly eclectic residences I've ever seen. Utterly unique - quirky yet completely utilitarian. Massive public spaces, extraordinary amenities like the pool, the hot tub, the terrace, the giant kitchen, and the giant living room. Numerous extraordinarily large bedrooms with massive amounts of sleeping capacity, gorgeous bathrooms, and amongst the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. And if you want to forget about all that, it has the most all inspiring view one could ever ask for, overlooking the magical Lake Arenal and the (dormant!) Arenal volcano. But you can also forget about all that because what moves this above 5* are the hosts, Paul & Bhavani. They upgraded our Wi-Fi to starlink when we needed it - they helped out with laundry and clean up beyond expectations - and always available. In short, they're the best hosts we've ever had.

Paul and his wife were amazing hosts. The villa was stunning! We enjoyed the scenery and open spaces of the home. Most nights we spent enjoying the main area with the fire pit. The kitchen was very convenient and clean. We had everything we needed to cook with. The rooms were beautiful. We loved how private and in nature this villa is, it gave us a chance to really immerse ourselves in the forest! Paul and Bhavani were super attentive and kind during our entire stay.

Unbelievable view to lake Arenal and surroundings, no view to the volcano. Spacious home for a large group or family. Hosts were unbelievably responsive within minutes of a request. No request was too much and always with a friendly attitude. Home has everything you can think you will ever need, even at your own home. Communication with host is continuous, and they always check to make sure everything is going well. Road access to the home is a steep dirt road with some paved lanes that requires a proper vehicle, but nothing out of place for Costa Rica. The only quirky thing about the home for some may be that ground floor room has bathrooms outside, and again nothing out of place for Costa Rica, just need to be aware. There is covered access to them. Kitchen is large and has everything working. Pool was clean and hot tub working great. Space outside with ground fireplace in the terrace was a nice touch, and we used quite often. 100% worth it and would use again. Thank you!!!

It was beautiful, The pictures do not do this place justice so hard to capture the beauty of it. The hosts were so welcoming and very helpful with whatever we needed and even made sure to give us a tour of the place and where everything was beforehand. It was nice being checked in on and we had everything we could have needed there . Definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get there but other than that you truly get peace visiting this place .
