This is the nicest Airbnb that I have ever stayed in, and even a 5-star hotel can’t offer the hospitality and attention to detail that we found here. Both the house and the bungalow are immaculate, spacious, elegant, and yet still welcoming and comfortable. You will feel like you’ve been transported to a colonial hacienda, but with all the amenities of modern life. The gardens are vast and beautiful, with several seating areas. The house is also in the perfect location on a quiet street, but just a short walk to the main tourist area. The communication and hospitality were impeccable. María Adela was always quick to respond and checked in to make sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. And I can’t say enough good things about Bety, who attends to guests’ every need. She is warm and accommodating, somehow manages to be both helpful and unobtrusive, keeps the place immaculate both inside and out, and attends to every detail to make sure that guests feel welcome and comfortable!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. The bedrooms were all beautiful with a full bathroom attached to each. The garden was the highlight of our stay. Simply breathtaking. We opted to have Bety cook for us and we’re so happy that we did. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning and a farewell lunch in the garden on our last day. Maria, the owner, was so kind and responsive. She responded to my messages immediately if I had a question. We are definitely planning on returning soon.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is beautiful and located in a great area. The grounds within the home are gorgeous. We had so many relaxing afternoons in the garden area. Our favorite part of the day was being greeted by Bety, who had a delicious breakfast ready for us!! She was amazing and made the trip perfect. She and her family members were so nice! What a treat to have their help. We have already discussed heading back to San Miguel and we can only hope to have another perfect vacation at Maria’s home!!!

Our stay at Maria Adela Y Eduardo’s home was FANTASTIC! Marie Adela was so friendly, communicative and accommodating. The home itself is incredible clean, comfortable and full of amazing artwork and treasures. The garden space is expansive and full of beautiful flowers and greenery. The location is spectacular, down the street from a small organic grocery store and coffee shop and about a 10 min walk to the center of town. Last but not least, the properties caretaker Bety is the cherry on top! So friendly, helpful, and kind! We’ll be back next year!

I wish we could have stayed longer ! The house was spacious , clean & well kept . I especially loved the upper bedroom which had great light and a view of the foliage in the extensive garden . The grounds itself was enough reason to rent this place . It was a very peaceful retreat to go home to . 2nd , the location was excellent . Walking distance to the historic center but also located in an elegant peaceful neighborhood away from the crowds but also walking distance to the cafes & restaurants along calle ancha de San Antonio . La Rustica was a favorite . 3rd, the house caretaker , Bety , is beyond helpful and was super efficient with all our requests /questions /needs. It was like having your own personal local concierge and our stay was definitely more relaxing because of her . 4th, the owners , Maria Adela & Eduardo , were warm responsive caring hosts who were very easy to communicate with . I would definitely stay here again . Thank you for a very memorable birthday trip !

The house and gardens are truly wonderful -extensive and beautifully maintained. The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet and there are lots of restaurants and markets within easy walking distance. We were very appreciative of the service that Bety provided- she was very helpful and is a lovely warm person. We had a fabulous six weeks. One of our best holidays ever!

It was a great choice to choose this place. We went to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday and I was looking forward to San Miguel. Although we couldn't go out much because I felt bad, being in the house, the gardens and the excellent service received made everything very worthwhile. Since we arrived my parents loved the place and Betty's service At all times María Adela and Eduardo were on the lookout and we really loved it Thank you very much 😊

This place was fantastic and we hope to stay there again. I owe it to Maria Adela y Eduardo to tell everyone else how great the place is, but I almost want to keep it a secret! The house itself is nice, with a large master suite upstairs and two nice rooms on the main floor. There are fireplaces in the master, living room and dining room. There is a large kitchen that also acts as an entry to the courtyard. The courtyard is big enough to stage a restaurant, with separate seating areas on opposite ends and some landscaping in the middle. It is a wonderful outdoor setting and we had some local friends over one afternoon - perfect! Bety, the attendant, was very helpful and did some grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning for us. She is sweet and a great cook! The house is across from the little park (Guadiana), but it is an easy walk to the larger park and onward to Centro. There are great restaurants nearby as well, and a very nice market at the end of the block. We will be back!

The most comfortable stay you can imagine. The home and grounds are lovely and the woman who cares for the place, cooks, and cleans (Bety) is wonderful. She lives on site with her family and they go above and beyond to make the stay completely care-free. A fantastic experience.

We rented the main house and the garden cottage for a month. With two young kids in tow, having a vast garden that they can freely run around in was such a luxury. The kids even helped pick fresh fruit for snacking and to make limeade. The house itself is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, across from a park in which you will see people enjoying a stroll with their dogs in the evenings. There seems to be a large retiree expat community in the neighborhood. The location is far enough away from the noise of the town center but close enough for a nice short stroll to the Parrish thru a picturesque neighborhood. The main house is well maintained and offers several outdoor seating areas to choose from, including 2 multilevel terraces. The primary bedroom is upstairs and is very spacious and it even has its own very convenient mini fridge which we filled with drinks and snacks. We slept with the windows open and enjoyed the great Sanmi weather and breeze. The house is very well set up for working remotely as the wifi is very reliable. I was able to work and connect to all zoom and teams meetings flawlessly even while the kids all streamed content from their iPads. All electric outlets are standard to those found in the US and therefore no special adapters needed. The owner, Mariela, is very attentive and easy to communicate with. She was always very helpful in answering questions and very personable. Mariela had great suggestions on car srvcs, grocery delivery, and shopping spots. She has outfitted the house with helpful travel pamphlets and booklets. The crown jewel of the house is Bety. She is beyond helpful. For a fee paid directly to her she helped with everything from cleaning, cooking, receiving and storing grocery deliveries, helping call taxis, and briefly babysitting for a couple of evenings. She is extremely thoughtful and detailed in all tasks - from even a simple folding of socks so that when you unfold both are right-side out and ready to put on. She handles the housekeeping tasks with such speed and almost like a ninja - you leave the room for a minute and you return and she has quickly made the bed in a blink of an eye. On top of it all, she’s so smart and witty, with an incredible sense of humor - and always professional. Would I stay here again? The answer is a definitive yes - and on my last day of rental I was already looking at their availability calendar to plan my return. Congrats on a beautiful property!

Casa Mariela is a quiet and beautiful space, an oasis of calm among fruit trees, beautiful gardens, terraces and the embrace and care of Bety and her family (who take care of and maintain the house and garden). They welcomed us very attentively and affectionately, and they were loving to us and our dogs. Bety cooks delicious food and is a splendid host. Better than any 5-star hotel in San Miguel. We had fresh water daily, hot coffee in the mornings, the bed made before going to sleep, and many more details. The house is beyond words... the decor is done with exquisite taste, in that old colonial San Miguel style, lots of books to enjoy, lots of little corners full of details to find your space, to enjoy inside or in the gardens of the house. The kitchen is equipped with everything for cooking. The beds and pillows are wonderful. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is the most beautiful in downtown. Everything is nearby. We walked the dogs in the park across the street, which is very well maintained and beautiful. It's a very short and enjoyable distance from downtown, but far enough away to not be in the middle of the noise and chaos of downtown on the weekend. I couldn't ask for anything more. It was much better than I expected. We enjoyed it very much and I would definitely come back and recommend it... the first reason is the hosts, the second is the beautiful space. Thank you.

We have traveled the world and have stayed in dozens and dozens of places. This is by far one of the nicest homes we have ever stayed in. First, the house and grounds are delightful. Plenty of room in the house, and nearly an acre of well-tended gardens. There are a half-dozen places to eat and drink outside in the gardens and on the terrace, each one with its own vibe. You will never get bored. Second, the on-site caretaker, Betty, is a delight. She cooked us breakfast each day and did our laundry when we needed it (small charge for each). Betty even taught us some Spanish. She is there to make your stay comfortable. Third, the location could not be more perfect, on a quiet street across from a lovely park, but a short walk to everything that San Miguel has to offer. And, if you ever get tired of walking, taxis are everywhere and cheap (given the driver 100 pesos and you'll be including a good tip). If you are looking online at various places to stay, stop. This is it. You will not regret it.

Such a lovely spot in SMA! The house was so comfortable and in an accessible and quiet section of the city. We loved the wonderful housekeeper who was so kind and made us amazing breakfasts. We hope to return again soon!

This reviewer lived in SMA 51 years ago and has visited the town for varying lengths every year since. Having stayed in many houses, rental, friends and house-sitting, the review is thereby informed. The owners of Casa Mariela are cultured individuals which shows in the house and gardens; there is a reason the property has 40 100% five star reviews. The staff, as I was told, ‘will not disappoint’, an understatement. The maid cleaned, shopped, laundered, and cooked excellent meals with sublime attentiveness. An added benefit was the excellent and prompt communication of the owners. The listing is accurate, and the location convenient.

A beautiful place to stay, just as pictured, beautiful garden, a great communication from beginning to end. Highly recommended if you want to be a few minutes away from the church and enjoy as well the house. Will definitely stay again when visiting San Miguel.

This house is a treasure. It is beautiful, spacious but cozy, clean and comfortable. It has a thousand details. The gardens are a beauty. We were coming back early from circling downtown, just to spend some time in the garden and in the house because we enjoyed it so much. Bety is excellence in the form of a person. He keeps the house in impeccable condition; rich kitchen; he is aware of every need of the guests; he is friendly and professional just like his whole family. Check in and check out were easy and communication with Maria Adela and Eduardo were very good. We had a great time at this home. I recommend it a hundred.

Maria Adela and Eduardo's house was comfortable and spacious for our family during our three-week stay in San Miguel. It's a big house that's big, just like the warning says: 8 people can easily stay. My three daughters and I loved the excellent location of the house, half a block from cafes, restaurants, organic markets, yoga and art classes. Walking, we reached downtown in 15 minutes. Juarez Park with its artisan fair is 10 minutes away. Mrs. Bety welcomed us and took care of us throughout our stay: she cooked delicious food and was attentive to anything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast in your beautiful garden accompanied by the songs of the birds and the beautiful plants and trees. His home was the perfect place for a break after a year of being quarantined in the United States. We spent some incredible days in San Miguel, enjoying the art and culture of this beautiful place in Mexico. We hope to return soon!!!

The house was in the best location, very close to our favorite organic market and Parque Benito Juarez, and all different restaurants. There’s a staff (Betty) living within the property so she can take care of any needs. She is also very nice. The garden within the property was pretty and huge so you’d feel like you have a private park. Recommended for those who like doing things outside. We excersized and worked in the garden!(They have a separate wifi for outside)

We had a spectacular vacation at Maria and Eduardo's house, lots of space, very nice decor, full of details. The kitchen is very complete, the beds are delicious, space to store things. We spent a lot of time in the gardens surrounding the house that are inside the property. Bety and her husband are very friendly and helpful, all the time out for you. 15 minutes from downtown SMA walking, surrounded by shops, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. we hardly occupy the car as everything is very close. Thank you very much for sharing your property and for so much hospitality!! We really want to return!!

This is a hidden gem in one of the nicest neighborhoods in San Miguel de Allende. Location: Guadiana is quiet but still close enough to the center of town and many nearby markets, restaurants and shops. You’ll get a ton of exercise and not be bothered with cars or Uber most of the time. House: There are three nice bedrooms, one of them a large suite on the top floor. For our family it was perfect, with Mom and Dad upstairs and the kids split between the downstairs rooms. The decorations are nice, there are books and games around and the overall feel is very warm and inviting. Garden: The backyard garden is actually much bigger than it looks in the pictures! We spent a lot of time back there, the kids playing, adults reading or lounging and, of course, eating most breakfasts and lunch out there. It is truly amazing, and very well kept. Bety: The final and crucial feature was the lady (and her husband and daughter) who lives on the grounds and helps with EVERYTHING! For a very nominal fee, she will not only keep the house clean but also shop for groceries, cook meals, do laundry and she even helped with our kids hair and getting ready to go places. All while being so sweet and polite! I really can’t say enough good things about her, and the kids miss her already, asking when we can see her again. I am almost afraid to write such a glowing review, as I want to always have this house available! But, they deserve the review and any additional competition to book this place that they get! Thanks for a wonderful time!

The beautiful photos of the home are accurate! The garden is wonderful. Plan a day to just relax and enjoy the home and gardens. And, there is a very nice public garden/park across the street. We loved having coffee/breakfast on our terrace while watching people walk their dogs in the park. The home is lovely and very comfortable. It really is a short walk to shops, restaurants and center of town. We walked everywhere! I highly recommend it.

Such an amazing Airbnb. I’ve been to many and this is a bargain for a large beautiful ornate house and an even larger luscious garden. If you have the chance to stay here please do. The host is gracious and has a helper named Bety who is incredible at cooking traditional foods. We loved our stay!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Maria Adela Y Eduardo’s place. It’s a large comfortable house in a magnificent park-like private garden, right across the street from a lovely public park. Extremely comfortable living room and dining room, very well equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The upstairs master bedroom is massive and overlooks the garden. The garden includes numerous sitting and eating areas. The place is just a block away from one of the main streets in SMA. It’s PERFECT for a family or 2 or 3 couples.

If you are looking for a house in SMA, this is it. Great location, great house. Towels cleaned every day, beds made. Beautiful gardens. Meals served every day for a small charge. You cannot do better in SMA than this beautiful home. The hosts do everything possible to make you stay memorable. This will be one of the best airbnb experiences you have ever had.

I recommend a lot staying in this wonderful house. We spend wonderful days there. A nice walking distance from downtown with the quietness of being a little on the side. This is a beautiful, traditional house close to the Institute and the center of town. The grounds are huge and enclosed, great for our kids to run around. The house is very comfortable and well set up. Highly recommended!

A truly beautiful house in a fabulous location! Our family of five (3 kids under 12 years old) had the most wonderful time at this house. First, communication was almost immediate. Second, we were welcomed to the house with an amazing home cooked meal by Beatrice and a huge box of LEGO’s bought in advance for our kids by the owner. So thoughtful! The house was extremely spacious, very clean, and came with an absolutely stunning and huge garden. We walked to town on several occasions and it was only about 20 minutes from the center. There is a great yoga studio and restaurants in the area that are fantastic (eg Lolitas). Thank you for everything! We hope to be back again in the future.

What an amazing home and host. Very thoughtful in their preparation from local info to a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy. The house was very clean and the host helper, Betty was a fantastic cook and looked after us in every way. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit San Miguel. The house is across the street from a small park and only a 10 minute walk to a large park, (Benito Juarez), which has a playground and basketball courts for the kids. A great experience for sure.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more! Your home was beautiful and the garden grounds were extraordinary - so spacious and relaxing for siestas. This is by far the best experience we have had on airbnb. Having traveled to many countries, Maria Adela and Eduardo have created a paradise in the heart of a golden Mexican jewel of a city. The grounds were spectacular, including a beautifully maintained garden, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, and the prepared meals were an over-the-top, unexpected delight. The location is perfect and within walking distance of the main dining areas, as well as the cathedral. Being able to securely keep our car behind the gates was also a comfort. Every request was meet with kindness and efficiency and I recommend Maria Adela and Eduardo with the highest possible regard. Adela and Eduardo are wonderful hosts. The home is outside the downtown area in a very quiet street; yet close enough for a 10 minute walk, that becomes 30 with all the stores, restaurants and galleries to see on the way. Bety and Lorenzo , who live On premise made sure we always had the chimneys lit in the evenings. Breakfast was a gathering moment in the living room where Bety cooked breakfast a la Carte. The gardens are wonderfully manicured and provided for a very private lunch one day. We are planning our return soon.
