Great views! Clean, tidy, lots of equipment to use in the kitchen. Exactly what we wanted and needed! Thank you! Way bigger than photos!!!

this was easily the nicest airbnb I've ever stayed in. We fell in love with Santa Teresa

Host Response

So glad you enjoyed your stay!!

We absolutely loved staying here. The open layout of the house was amazing and made the entire space feel so inviting and connected to nature. Being surrounded by greenery was such a refreshing experience, and we even got to see some cute monkeys during our stay, which made it feel extra special and memorable. At night, you could hear little animals outside, but we always felt completely safe and comfortable in the home. It truly felt like a peaceful escape while still being well taken care of. The house manager was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. They were very responsive, helped us unlock a door quickly, and were so friendly throughout our stay. That level of care really made a difference. Overall, this place was beautiful, relaxing, and thoughtfully managed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nature-filled getaway with great hospitality.

This house is truly breathtaking, especially the open-plan kitchen and living area, which offers a stunning, panoramic view of the ocean. The home is tastefully designed and well-equipped, and whenever we needed anything, Kyle was extremely responsive. He also shared some excellent restaurant recommendations around Santa Teresa, which we really appreciated!. this place has a rustic atmosphere and lovely feel for it. If you\re shivering in West London or Chicago in December, contact Judita and book NOW! Minor A/C snafu fixed within hours! Both Judita and Kyle super-responsive & friendly. Kyle is based locally and always available to come over. A great place. Than you Judita & Kyle! Micheal, Elena & Nadia

We had a wonderful time at Judita's house. We stayed there 3 nights with our family of 4 adult children. We enjoyed the great view! We had some trouble finding the house but that was more due to Google maps and to us than to the clear description. Kyle was kind enough to pick us up with his Quad. He also gave us lots of tips on what to do in the area and recommended restaurants. The house itself has all the comforts. In short, we highly recommend the house!

The house itself is beautifully located, just above the sea and offers great views. The architecture is also appealing. The open design means that no fly screens are attached to the windows, for example in the kitchen area. It is therefore almost inevitable that some insects will be attracted to the light when cooking after dark. In the sleeping area, mosquito nets do a good job. However, our stay was quite clouded as construction is currently taking place in the neighborhood. As a result, the hoped-for peace was not given, but was repeatedly disturbed by construction noise from the early morning. There was no reference to this in the listing. Therefore, we cannot give such a good rating for the actually nice accommodation, because for the rent to be paid you expect a more undisturbed stay.

Host Response

Thanks for your feedback, Erik. We understand that construction noise and bugs can be less than glamorous vacation companions. While we do clearly mention both in our listing (we like to be upfront about our wildlife and soundtrack), we know it can still be surprising in the moment. The good news is, the construction is temporary, and the bugs, well, they’re locals, and part of the Costa Rican ecosystem, and seem to think our place is worth visiting, too. We’ll be adding extra screens to help keep them outside where they belong. We hope you were still able to enjoy your stay, and we wish you happy (and quieter, bug-free) travels ahead!

Absolutely stunning architecture and style. Lovely aesthetics and fantastic design. A challenging property for anyone with a fear of heights and access would be much trickier without a 4wd. There are two houses being built behind the house but they should be finished in the next 3-6 months and the workmen worked reasonable hours - didn’t bother us at all. We had great respect for their efforts in the sweltering conditions! View is stunning, sunset amazing, and you very much feel up in the trees. Air conditioning in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but fans throughout making sleeping comfortable. Upstairs living/kitchen can be rather warm by late afternoon but the house is largely open to the elements so you can try and catch a breeze. The bug nets around the beds were much appreciated. Really enjoyed our stay and the alfresco showers were excellent. Kyle was a brilliant and responsive host.
