The house is spacious and you can easily walk downtown. We spent Christmas in this house and they had decorated it with a tree, very nice. The instructions were clear and we communicated in a timely manner. I highly recommend this space if you are going in a large group and want to be close to downtown in a classic San Miguel house.

We loved it! Our stay at Casa Quintana was amazing. Our host, Edmundo, was very attentive from the moment we booked and throughout our entire stay. He was accommodating and responsive. The staff who assisted us were courteous and respectful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is close to the center, and the house itself is a historical gem. The pictures don’t do it justice. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return again soon!

Great place, just a few hundred meters from the center.The interior decoration is gorgeous, it can indeed be considered a luxury home.Bedding and towels are clean and tidy.Unfortunately, there is only air conditioning in the living room, and the other rooms will feel hot at night, but there are ceiling fans.The host is very nice, basically replies to messages in seconds.Nice garden, nice and cool to sit in the garden at night.The waiter will greet you at check-in and come to make breakfast at 9am the next morning. Breakfast is simple, with only milk, cereal, coffee and fruit.The kitchen is fully stocked, but there is no oil, so you can't really cook.

An impressive house; the location is unbeatable.

The place was absolutely stunning, the home was full of historic culture and there was lots to appreciate when being in the home. There was something for everyone and plenty of room for everyone to feel right at home. Walking distance was ideal as you step outside and walk for 1 minutes and you're already in front of a park an church with lots to explore. The parking was a bit tricky but the ladies at the home were helpful. Our family loved it and will be returning for future stays.

We recently stayed in San Miguel for a week with our 3 kids, nanny, two parents and brother. The space comfortably housed all 10 of us. Edmundo and his wife were very accommodating and friendly during check-in. They gave us a tour, provided some history and ensured the house was stocked with groceries prior to our arrival. The two ladies made available to us during our stay were fantastic and very helpful! My only areas of opportunity or transparent feedback would be: this home is not suitable for very young children. Our 17 month old fell down the flight of stairs and we were anxious the entire trip that he’d break a family heirloom. The listing stated the house was AC split unit. Whereas, there is AC in the living room, the bedrooms get quite hot when the day temperatures are 87°+. With that said, the fans did help. We still gave this listing 5 stars because we believe the accommodations, location and service outweigh any “cons”.

Fabulous house. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Location is great- only a couple of blocks to the center of the old section of the city. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Housekeepers were lovely and very accommodating.

It's a very spacious and old house. It dates back to the 17th century and every room is a marvel. The staff is very nice and attentive. The service is incredibly precise, we felt better than in a luxury hotel. We'll be back for more work trips.

A beautiful house, with history, really don't do it justice the photos, the amazing service from Juanita and Hillary, and the attention of Edmundo and Lupita really that excellent and super attentive to all the details. The location is a must, since it's close to everything on foot. I had an accident and the hosts were waiting all the time, we will go back there yes or yes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CASA QUINTANA ♥️

The house is spectacular and its location unbeatable. The hosts were always very friendly and so were their staff. They helped us make the supermarket and we had a delicious daily breakfast. We were able to rest and enjoy the house, ate super rich, we were very comfortable. Entry was super easy and also had everything and more. An amazing option for groups or families, all amazing.

Amazing house! The location is the best part, since you are a two minute walk from El Centro where the Parroquia is. The house is spacious and there is air conditioning in the living room which was a major plus since homes in Mexico don’t tend to have ANY air conditioning. We had two ladies available to us to make breakfast which is also a neat detail. They also come and fix the beds and bring clean towels every morning. I would recommend this place 100%!

A fantastic location to the plaza! The house was big enough for the 8 of us. Beautiful decor. One thing that I was surprised by did not ask Edmundo was, if there was AC in the entire house. Maybe I did not catch that the only AC unit was in the main living room. The good thing was that there were ceiling fans and portable fans in the closets. The beds are a bit firm but for 1 night it was fine. We would love to go back and stay there again!

Casa Quintana is THE place to stay in San Miguel de Allende! The location is perfect! My son got married not too far from Casa Quintana and we were able to walk to everyone's rental as well as the wedding venue and explore the main Jardin as well as the most amazing restaurants and shops in San Miguel! As soon as we entered Casa Quintana, we were welcomed with amazing natural lighting and a wonderful peaceful feeling. The most amazing art work hangs in every single room. We enjoyed breakfast together in the dining room every morning lovingly prepared by the two ladies that worked there. The beds are all very comfortable as well as every single room in the house, including the game room. The courtyard is truly a joy to spend quality time together and my only regret is that we didn't spend more time there! Getting to meet Edmundo and his wife was a special treat and we are so thankful that they share their beautiful casa with others! I can't recommend Casa Quintana enough!!

Edmundo is a great host. We appreciated having him welcoming us at our arrival. He did go the extra mile to make us feel confortable. It was very nice having Hilary and Juanita preparing breakfast and cleaning everyday, and it was also nice to have clean towels everyday. The house is well equipped and well maintains regardless of how antique it is. It is a pleasure to have an art gallery to enjoy all day. We recommend the stay at Casa Quintana.

Excellent location near church and town center. Each morning we had the included breakfast of coffee, fruit, and cereal. Edmundo and his wife are so friendly and available for whatever you may need-including transportation, covid testing, etc. Perfect amount of gathering space for groups. Comfortable beds. The only bedroom that was a little noisy was the upstairs room, however all other downstairs areas were very quiet.

This is by far a wonderful place to stay. Location is perfect close to everything within a very short walking distance to downtown, many restaurants and shopping. Edmundo and his wife were terrific hosts welcoming us when we arrived showing us throughout the home with all its of It’s amenities and giving us some history about the home. I have to honestly say that we loved everything about the house. The location was great, just a block away from the plaza. The beds were super comfortable and we couldn’t get enough of the courtyard. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

Casa Quintana was the perfect stay in San Miguel! The house is gorgeous, with lots of art work all throughout the house, a great patio with a fountain, giant TV in the living room, a game room. Each bedroom has their own bathroom. Located in a very desirable location, very walkable. Edmundo, the host, is stellar! He even got a cake when I mentioned it was my Dad’s birthday! He checked in on us, and was very helpful. The staff, Lorena and Juanita were also so sweet and helpful! We’ll be back as soon as we can!!

Casa Quintana is an amazing home and the perfect place to stay when visiting San Miguel de Allende. It is just a block from the center plaza, close to everything that is happening and numerous restaurants, shops, and sights to see. I rented Edmundo's place for 8 travelers from Argentina and chile who are all tango dancers. I find it preferable than a hotel for them to be together, even though they don't usually work together. Edmundo's place had enough privacy and also common spaces for them. I did not hear a negative word so I assume everyone was happy! We all had a wonderful time at the San Miguel Tango Festival 2020! This house and its history is Amazing and we had the absolute best experience. The host, Jose and Socorro were easy to communicate with, with quick responses and suggestions. Jose was really helpful and went on market errands for us. Socorro was an excellent and patient cook who met our different dietary needs. It fit 8 of us very comfortably. We were a bachelorette party of classy women and we all spoke very highly of the house during our stay. The beautifully lighted patio in the middle of the home was our fave and great for a wine break. The patio fountain sounds created a calming and inviting atmosphere in which we talked, laughed and gathered at daily during our stay. The distance to San Miguel’s main areas is what won me over! I highly recommend this place and plan on returning with my family.

We were a group of 11 retired elementary school teachers. We were all delighted with Edmundo's beautiful colonial house, which became our home during our stay in San Miguel de Allende. It was in the city centre. Near to the Jardin, but not so near that the noise penetrated the house. The location was great. We were near the old market place and artesenal daily faire. Walking distance to El Cafe De San Agustin (churros and terrific food and mango margaritas). We were also walking distance to trolley and shopping. Edmundo's place had plenty of space. We also used his office and den for sleeping space. Jose and Socorro provided inflatable mattresses, pillows, blankets, and sheets. Very comfortable. Socorro was a terrific cook and Jose was very helpful to all our needs. He went on market errands for us. All in all, we truly recommend Casa Quintana for your stay in San Miguel. But do not delay if you are going for Dia de Muertos or Easter because it will be taken quickly. Thank you Edmundo, Jose and Socorro for awesome stay in San Miguel de Allende!

Incredible historic patio house with a beautiful fountain in the middle of the patio. Beautiful paintings made by the Owners Mother - famous Mexican painter Maria Quintana. Old stories in every corner the house evóquese the ambiance of mid century San Miguel de Allende leaving. The best thing - steps away from San Miguel central plaza and main church. Absolutely the best!!!!

Casa Quintana also has a privileged location where you can do everything on foot, excellent service in terms of attention from Edmundo the host and his ski, the rooms are super clean, comfortable, pleasant. I would come back without thinking and would highly recommend it.

This 400+ year old hacienda is welcoming and comfortable. It is walking distance from many beautiful sights and wonderful restaurants. We had a small gathering of friends one night, and it was a lovely place to host a gathering.

Casa Quintana, it is more than a house looks like a museum, when entering it is as if you were in another time, decorated and cared for with the love of the hosts; in an excellent location. Edmundo is definitely a Superhost. His wife is super friendly, and the hospitality of Zocorro and José (service staff), along with the charm of San Miguel, made for an amazing weekend.

My Family of 10 stayed in Edmundo's Air BnB for over 5 days visiting San Miguel for our Nice weeding. We could not have had a better time, thanks to the amazing place, location, and amenities! First of all, there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and enough common areas for us to have big family breakfasts, gatherings, etc. There are two living rooms and four bedrooms with bathrooms plus a beautiful patio so there were plenty of resources to use in case one part of the house got too crowded. The space was more beautiful and clean than the pictures. We definitely made use of the outdoor patio One of the best parts of this house was also the location, one block from main square so you will be in a trendy part of town near a lot of cool street art, Churches, historical buildings, restaurants and bars. You are also within walking distance to food, handcrafts and antiques shops and markets. The Crew in the house, Socorro and Jose, are extremely kind and willing to help you in any situation so that you have a memorable stay The House and surroundings are extremely safe. The wi-fi is also really effective so you be in touch with the rest of the world. Lastly, I cannot commend the hostess and crew enough for her hospitality. They even made arrangements to have Private transportation to Mexico City for our flight back home.

Casa Quintana is a beautiful, quiet, historic house very close to the Jardin de Allende. It is well-supplied, the WiFi works well, the bedrooms are comfortable and all have private bathrooms. The bathrooms are not as big as in houses that that we have previously rented in Mexico, but that was not a problem. The central courtyard, in typical Mexican fashion, is a lovely oasis. Unlike other rental houses, there is a staff of two (Jose and Soccoro) who come every day to make breakfast (if requested), clean and make the beds etc. They are very helpful and willing to make arrangements as to when to come and go etc. Guests pay them for special services (if any), plus a tip at the end. They don't speak English, but Edmundo does, and he responded quickly (by phone and text) to any questions that arose from language issues. The kitchen is very well-equipped--but this is a beautiful old house, and has not been converted to include the kind of open, spacious kitchen that we have seen in other houses. We were a group of 6 (three couples) who like to cook and experiment with Mexican food, and we found the kitchen a little small to work in at times. But this should not put anyone off staying here. It's a great house in a perfect location and an ideal way to experience SMA.

Edmundo's house has a lot of personality and an unbeatable location. The spaces invite you to spend time together and enjoy yourselves. Both José and Socorro are at the service of guests from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. They help with the purchase of whatever is needed (ice, snacks, etc.). In addition, Edmundo has an open wine cellar with very reasonable prices so that guests can have a glass of wine if they feel like it. He lent us his Blackjack table and set to play a game in the evening. It is a very good accommodation option for going with friends. We would definitely stay here again.

This home is breathtaking. The owners took time to welcome my family at the doors and show us every detail of their beautiful home. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to return one day.

WOW. What else can I say. This house is perfect in every way. From the help who will shop for you, laundry, cook incredible breakfasts, to the thoughtfully stocked wine rack (we actually never tapped into it, preferring our Mezcal), to the 1m thick walls of the 450 year old house, to incredible paintings by Edmundo's mother decorating every room... (I could go on). The bed was so incredibly comfortable. Truthfully, the outside courtyard was where we spent most of our time, somehow missing spending time in the comfortable reading room or the dining room (opting to eat outside instead). Now take all of that, and put it 250m from everywhere you want to be! (Okay, not everywhere). The last couple visits to San Miguel had a 30 minute walk to and from our AirBnBs... this time, 5 minutes. Game Changer. I will be looking to stay at Edmundo's every time I visit San Miguel if I have 4 or more people! Just fantastic in every way.

The house is a real gem! Located in the center of SMA, the central square is just a few steps away. The rooms are very spacious and have their own bathrooms. A living room with a cava and TV. An impressive dining room, a reading room, a poker table, and the fountain in the central garden! Couldn't be better! Or wait... yes, there are Socorro and Jose who take care of you while you're at the house! Highly recommended place!
