Absolutely beautiful experience! The layout and amenities of the house made for a relaxing, easy, and comfortable stay at the beach. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
Our stay was simply amazing. The house is beautiful, even more than we expected. The location is excellent, and having the sea right across the street made the experience very special. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset; we enjoyed beautiful scenery every day. We loved the tranquility of the place. The beach is not crowded with people, so we were able to relax and enjoy the sound of the sea in a very pleasant atmosphere. In addition, the lighting in the house is wonderful and makes each space feel cozy. The house is very well equipped with all the necessary utensils for cooking and having a comfortable stay. We were also very grateful that it had a drinking water filter, a detail that made a big difference. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, so we had a wonderful rest every night. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience. We definitely recommend this house. We will certainly come back!
Ocean Villa in Sisal is a beautiful beachfront retreat. Just steps from the water and surrounded by coconut trees, it feels private, peaceful, and completely removed from the crowds. One of our favorite parts of the stay was drinking fresh coconut water straight from the coconuts on the property each morning. The home's open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area is spacious, with stunning views of both the sea and the pool. Every room faces the beach, so no matter where you are, you're looking out at the water and listening to the waves. During our stay, we had the beach entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Sylvain was an outstanding host. We booked at the very last minute, and he had the house and pool ready for us within hours. His responsiveness and hospitality made everything effortless. Ocean Villa is private, comfortable, and in an unbeatable location. We would gladly return.
The property is located in a very nice, quiet area, with one of the best beaches I've ever visited in Yucatán. The property is somewhat deteriorated due to its proximity to the sea, and the weather has already taken its toll. More maintenance is needed in many areas of the house, including improvements to the hot water system and repairs to the pool, which is not in usable condition. Without a doubt, the best thing is its location and the advantage of having a beach just a short walk from the property.

Perfectly located on the beach for those seeking the luxury of peace and quiet in a well appointed home. Pool is glorious. Kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook anything your heart desires. Sylvain and Gregorio were incredibly responsive and super helpful with local recommendations for restaurants, tours and local sights seeing. I spent a week here with my two 20 something sons and it was the vacation of a lifetime. Highly recommended if you want to stay on the beach with a glorious pool and just chill out. We will be back for sure!

It is a very nice house, with a spectacular view at all times, the area is very quiet, just right to relax and enjoy the sea and the pool, the house has all the amenities, an excellent place, Gregorio the person in charge, was always attentive to our needs and also gave us recommendations for activities
This is our second time staying at this house--it is absolutely beautiful. The entire house faces the beach which means that every room (all bedrooms, kitchen, living room) face the beach so that no matter where you are--when you look out you see the ocean. It is just a perfect location. Very pristine, secluded, beautiful, peaceful. I cannot recommend this house enough.
Perfect place to stay, although the path to get to the house is kinda bumpy it’s worth it.
The house looks just like the photos and is in a beautiful, remote setting—great for getting away. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to a serious bug infestation (chaquistes) in three of the bedrooms. The tiny flies got in despite doors and screens being closed and were all over the beds and pillows. We contacted the host at 3am; he replied quickly, but the manager didn’t arrive until 6am. He confirmed the house needed fumigation, which would take 24 hrs—too long for our 3-day stay. The main reason for my 2-star rating is the host’s dishonesty. At first, he seemed open to a refund, then changed his mind and deleted some of our Whats App messages. Thankfully, I had photos + videos and Airbnb refunded us. Also note: the road to the house is rough and really requires an SUV. The property has potential, but our experience was disappointing due to the bug issue and how it was handled.
I almost hate to write this review for fear that everyone will immediately recognize the beauty of this home and its location and look to book it--which would spoil my future plans to come back!!! In all seriousness, Sylvain's house is a treasure. It is beautiful inside-- I loved the living room kitchen area. The master bedroom and bath are fantastic. And the pool is actually a real pool (not a tiny square box that is dug into the ground and called a pool so that an owner can check the pool box on the listing). The pool is right off of the main living quarters and is spacious with ample deck and chairs to lounge if that is your preference. But the real beauty is the ocean--unbelievably pristine beach, completely secluded, gorgeous waters, just perfect. And the house is right there--on the beach, less than a stone's throw away. It was captivating and beautiful. I do recommend arriving to check in during daylight. It is difficult to find the house at night because there is no light.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay. This was a perfect getaway in such a beautiful home. It is well appointed with every thing you could possibly need.
It's a great house...it's Spectacular!!.....if you want to rest and enjoy the sea you 🌊 are in the right house, we really enjoyed Family, it is a beautiful house, spacious, clean and tidy, it has a great pool and great views of the sea, the only thing is that there are mosquitoes but with repellent you help you, you spend a few days of great tranquility. I highly recommend it and of course I would be back!!
Beautiful and fully conditioned house, I really felt right at home.
It would be good to mention that one of the rooms is not closed, just as neither the house nor the rooms have curtains.
This was the perfect place for our family getaway. The view, the surroundings, the privacy, everything was perfect. I would recommend getting all of your groceries in Merida since Sisal has only small stores. House is about 10-15 from town. Kitchen is very well equipped. I will definetly go back to Sylvains house!
Everything was perfect. The photos matched the reality. A great place to relax. Bring everything you need because it is somewhat far from the center, which makes it perfect to disconnect and have a good day as a family
Amazing house, waking up and having the sea as your first image. The house is designed in a spectacular way to see the sea all the time. Additional is guarded by a beautiful little dog… Lola. We were visiting only in their punctual hours of food 😍
The Ocean house was incredible with so many highlights I could list: - Right on a pristine beach where you can see the water and hear the waves from every room. Nothing can beat this experience. - You could see flocks of various birds fishing right in front of the house. I had never gotten so close to pelicans before - swimming up close to them while they were rocking on the water right in front of the house. - The house itself is modern, spacious, comfortable and beautifully design with all the modern amenities. - Everything was very clean and well maintained. The only downside for me was the actual town of Sisal. I underestimated how under-developed and lacking infrastructure it still is. So because of that, staying in that area felt a little isolating with very few options for decent food or social activities. Had to be self-reliant with cooking, and once the sun set, there was nowhere to go in the area. But if you are looking for peace and quiet, it may not be an issue for you

Stunning location!!! Would stay again in a heartbeat, wish we had stayed longer. The view and beach are incredible, very quiet location with no one around. We went in raining season so the town had a power cut, but this added to the fun of the trip! Would highly recommend!!! Make sure you get supplies in Merida as very little in Sisal, however we ordered Pizzas one evening which got delivered.
We spent 7 fantastic days at Sylvain’s. Highlights: - secluded location, we had the beach almost to ourselves, very quiet and lots of birds and beautiful surroundings - the house is steps to the beach with views from every room - everything was clean, the kitchen had all the basics to cook and eat at home - the host and house manager were friendly and helpful and gave us good local recommendations of things to do, where to eat, etc. Things to note: - the house is 20 minutes from the town of Sisal through a road that’s in poor condition, specially when it rains; we bought groceries in our way from Merida and barely left the house but there were essentials in Sisal: eggs, milk, ice, etc Overall, everything was better than expected and I can’t wait to go back!
Spacious beach house on a stunningly beautiful beach in secluded area. We didn't find the drive to the AirBbB as arduous as other reviewers, though we were in a Chevy Suburban. Sylvain was a very responsive host with wonderful suggestions. His suggestion to visit Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyché during our time in Merida ended up being the highlight of the trip, along with the Wetlands Kayaking Tour he recommended with Juan Carlos (only 10 minutes away and we saw herons, egrets, cormorants, frigates, and hundreds of pink flamingos!), and the massages at the AirBnB with Dorka. There is AC in each bedroom/sleeping area but not in the main living/dining room area. There are many sliding doors and a VERY strong breeze, especially in the afternoon, which helps. We were there during a particularly hot time, so it was challenging (hot!), when we cooked and found the doors need to be closed for the gas stove to work properly. We ate out once in Sisal and highly recommend Restaurante Zama!
I visited Sylvain's house with my family and found exactly what we expected from a beach vacation: proximity to the beach and to live 100% with nature, with a sea that really allows you to swim, fish, etc. Spectacular views, a modern house with open and large spaces, comfortable and with services and amenities suitable to rest, relax and enjoy an unforgettable moment. Sylvain's service is extremely thoughtful, we will definitely be back.

We loved our time at Sylvain's! The house is incredibly cool - right on the water with great views and a great pool. Sylvain and Gregorio helped with local restaurant recommendations and we ate incredible food all weekend. We loved it and cannot wait to come back!
This is an incredible place in a secluded (even isolated) location. You are right on the beach with unrestricted views through the full length windows along both sides of the house. The house is practical and spacious and the pool is perfect in the evening. The only limitation is the bad road. It really is a bit of a pain to get in and out of town on the potholed dirt road. The benefit is seclusion. We had a few minor issues with the house. No water on the morning we were leaving and the aircon in one of the rooms didn’t work. We mostly slept with the windows open to take advantage of the breeze but it was still very warm.

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had through Airbnb. The house is gorgeous, well appointed, and you’re basically on a private beach with just a few neighboring houses on a shoreline that runs a couple of kilometers. I’ve been to private beach clubs in USA that consider themselves quite exclusive and they wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to this wonderful home. Surprisingly great hot water and water pressure. Kitchen has everything you need. Pool is much larger than most I’ve seen in the area and was perfectly clean without being too chlorinated. At only around an hour from Merida I’ll hopefully have the chance to stay again soon.

If you’re searching for the perfect house, with the perfect views, look no more. This home boasts breathtaking views from every room and it’s an easy hour drive from Merida. It has direct access to the beach, you can walk into the water for yards and yards and the water is only a few feet deep. Perfect for families with young children. Walk along the beach to gather seashells galore. Never have I been on a beach with so many different types of sea shells. This is a place off the beaten path and secluded, the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sit on the deck at night and see thousands of stars while listening to the waves. We stocked up in Merida before driving to Sisal. There is a very small grocery store for the most basic supplies. Anything more specialized you’ll be better off buying in Merida. Sylvain and Gregorio were amazing as well! Quick to respond to any messages and very pleasant. The super host rating is well deserved. Gregorio sent me the contact of a person who made fresh ceviche and cochinita pibil and delivered to us the day we arrived. It was delicious! We can’t wait to be back in Sisal and once again stay at this beautiful, almost idyllic property.

The place was perfect for us. From the back porch steps to the water was 84 steps. Simply amazing. Check in was smooth and Sylvain and Gregorio were available if we needed anything. Thanks again!

Beautiful location and beautiful views and house design. You have the beach almost completely to yourself and only 15-20 min drive from town on a bumpy but navigable road. Gladly made use of the chef recommended who delivered meals in reusable containers for 120mxn per person (plus tip)— she even made us a couple cakes! We had some issues with leaking from windows during an intense storm that came through during our stay which required some time with wet vac and towels but Sylvain was consistently responsive for resolving and made it right discounting those days. Once it dried up we loved the beautiful decks and access to beach. We rented this house and the one immediately next to it on the same lot ( 3m away) and enjoyed the balance of a protected pool (this house) and ocean facing pool(quiet house). Very restorative stay!
Surrounded by beautiful nature and private. An excellent place to relax by the ocean. If the neighbours were home they would be very close. The house has all the bare necessities. Bring what you need to eat and drink since the house is far from Sisal. Check in was simple and communication was great and friendly. I would visit again.

Beautiful home, steps away from the beach. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfy! No Tv..but wifi worked fine. Great pool - gets sun pretty much all day, until late afternoon. Was a favorite for us! Kitchen was well equipped and Gregorio (property manager) is super helpful! Next door neighbors are close by but other than that very private area and beach. There isn’t much in town. There are a few restaurants. We loved Palapas de Soco. Would recommend doing your big grocery shopping in Merida (we flew into Merida so that was easy). We enjoyed our stay! Sylvain’s house is a beach lovers dream. I absolutely loved waking up to the ocean in the morning and falling asleep to the sound of waves at night. The property is quite isolated as you can only access it via a dirt road so be prepared for a bumpy drive! As other reviews mention, the kitchen is well stocked with tools for preparing meals but utilizing the local chef is a yummy and authentic Yucatán dining experience. If you’re up for an adventurous day, the bocana excursion with Juan Carlos is amazing!

Make sure to do your shopping in Merida as there are no real supermarkets nearby. Although, they have a person who can deliver for you for an additional price. The road to the house is a dirt road and it takes about 25 minutes to get there from nearby village. Which makes this location fantastic from wildlife and privacy point of view, but you should be prepared for it. The views from every room are breathtaking. Internet is very weak, so you should bring books to read and games to play.

The house is amazing and we love the private location. Communication was good with the local caretaker. For the price, we would have liked to have additional comfort items, like towels and pillows.
We had a lovely week at Sylvain's house. The location is wonderful ! The sea is beautiful, quiet and allows you to discover wonders : seashells, pelicans, iguanas, and everything comes out of the birds. The sunsets are breathtaking. We hope this place will be preserved as it is for the years to come and we will return to discover the other wonders of the Sisal. The house is superb and functional for families with children. Gregorio and Edilberto were very available during our stay. We were delighted in this little piece of paradise.

This is the perfect house for anyone looking to spend some peaceful days, waking up to the most relaxing and beautiful view is worth everything! Each room has a ceiling to floor glass door facing the ocean. The host Sylvain and Gregorio are always in touch to make sure everything is perfect. Overall an amazing house in a beautiful place :) !!

This home and location are wonderful. Steps from the beach, beautiful views, private, daily pelican fly-bys, picture perfect warm ocean water, cool pool pool to drop the body temps, enough ventilation and a/c, solid wifi, comfy beds, starry night skies from multiple balconies, guest iguanas and geckos. It doesn’t get any more relaxing.
The house is very nice, far from the village so it is recommended that you bring everything you will need so that you do not have to go out and buy anything. We had an issue with the power but our host solved it. It is recommended to rent to spend a pleasant vacation.
The house is just like the pictures, very nice! I only recommend that you make your pantry in time because if it is somewhat far from the village of Sisal, but that part of the beach is super quiet and very private, good communication with Sylvan and Gregorio :)
This house and setting are truly one of a kind. I hope it is able to stay as beautiful and isolated as it was when we were there. Sylvain (owner) is remote but extremely responsive by WhatsApp and Gregorio (the handyman) is the absolute best and will make sure you're well taken care of. The space is big, well-designed and easy to live in. The pool is beautiful and mostly private. It could use some more homey touches, kitchen wares, and furniture but you'll forget about all of that when you wake up with a dip in the perfect ocean a few steps from the back deck, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves lapping the shore... and nothing else.
Excellent location away from the village, perfect to rest and avoid crowds with this pandemic. Miles of beach where you can't find a single person Be careful with mosquitoes between 6 and 8. The host has mosquito remedies but there are still many mosquitoes Great place to observe marine fauna, buy fish from the locals. Many rich restaurants in the village that bring you food home and so you don't have to cook. Outstanding cleaning staff
Sylvain's place was ideal for a getaway, it was an amazing location, situated right in front of the beach. Our favorite part was waking up to the ocean waves and by the sunlight. Highly recommend this place for groups looking to get away from the city and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Communication was great and hosts were very attentive. Look forward to staying again in the future!
Sylvain’s home is truly breathtaking. We stayed for 3 weeks and wish it was longer. It is located steps from a beach that feels entirely private - we barely saw anyone else during our stay. Watching the sea birds (and occasionally dolphins!) throughout the day is mesmerizing, and the sunsets and sunrises are sublime. The house is very comfortable and spacious. Gregorio, the house manager, was always available to help and went above and beyond to make sure we had a very smooth stay. Looking forward to returning someday

Incredible place!!! Very beautiful with SO much natural lighting and privacy. Very private beach access and an incredible pool! Sylvain is very quick to respond to any questions we had! It’s VERY secluded which has its advantages and disadvantages but it’s just good to know! The nearby people were also very friendly!
They definitely didn't meet what I was looking for. You have a privileged place but they do not have super host service, the road is under construction you have to mention it and they did not (with any rain you get stuck for SURE), the 4th room is not a room (it HAS NO DOOR), they have no privacy and the bed is inflatable. Pay for the cleaning and cook that they left a lot to give... the house lacks maintenance. Fans 3 did not work due to lack of special batteries (they did not solve it) 1 of them inside the room could not be turned off. There are no hammocks as shown in the photos and the pool needs maintenance. I wouldn't go back
It's the best Airbnb they're going to stay at, it's our second time there and it's still one of our favorite places, they already have wifi available. The best place to relax and have fun, don't miss it, excellent host.
Don’t hesitate for a second! This is truly a piece of paradise with all the amenities included! We spent our days watching diving pelicans and even a ray jumping in the water! We left all the sliding doors open during the day and it provided a great breeze throughout the living area. There was construction right next door - it’s almost finished and the workers were very polite and even cooked fish for us one day. We really enjoyed the place and would stay again!
Awsome place!!! The house its really incredible. During the nights theres no better place for watching the stars. And we were Lucky and one nite we swam with fluorecent plancton in the sea.

Sylvain is a fantastic and thoughtful host, whose wonderful home in Sisal is a perfect escape. It is quiet, steps from a beautiful beach, near the mangroves and lagoon. At night, we saw the arc of the Milky Way, shooting stars and fishing boats. By day, pelicans, frigatebirds and passing fish. A great place to stay.

The house is amazing, it has views higher than that of many beach houses. At the moment there is a construction project next door, which can complicate your stay in the pool and modify several of the views that the house promises. Other than that, a very good place.
If you are looking for a place to rest, this is the right place. It has an incredible view and is too close to the beach, which is very nice. Apart from that, it is a very quiet place. The apartment has all the amenities and is very clean. Only as recommendations, it would be that you bring insect repellent since in the season I went there were too many and also if you are going to use the air conditioning there would be an extra cost of $500 Mexican pesos. I would also add that the attention from the owner and his local contact was very good and they answered any questions:)
