I was celebrating my birthday, the space is immaculate, perfect for family celebrations or a group of friends. There were 6 of us, the design is amazing! Everyone had their own space, the beds are comfortable! The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities. The couch is large enough for 6, comfortably, to watch a show on the smart tv. The AC works perfectly. The lighting inside and outside are beautiful. The air in the house is clean and fresh. We enjoyed the pool and all the plants surrounding the pool. We didn’t use the grill, but it’s a great option for cooking. The laundry room is in the 2 car garage, also clean. Becca, Mike and Cory were very responsive for questions, they also checked in to see how things were going. There are QR codes with recommendations.I really appreciated being able to drop my bags off at their office prior to checking in. They delivered them to the house! I’m looking forward to my next visit to Merida to stay @ Casa Mariposa again! Highly Recommended!!

The house was very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean and welcoming. The host was great at responding to us.. we had a hard time at check in with the code, so they came to meet us in 5 minutes. They had great recommendations for the area. The house was close enough to the center by car. The house was private and felt safe.

The house is beautiful! As shown in the photos, the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a stay with family or friends, very clean bathrooms and very comfortable bedrooms. It could be even better if they had curtains in the rooms, even though there are walls and/or vegetation, the light comes in, preventing a more pleasant rest. The wifi has very good coverage, very central location 8-10 minutes from downtown and places of interest. The vegetation in the pool area creates a very nice atmosphere. The house has a very good layout, offering a feeling of spaciousness and each space is designed to make us feel at home. We had an amazing time, thank you so much! Regards! :)

This house was immaculate!! Seeing the house in person is much more incredible then seeing the photos. First thing I always observe in every house I stay is the cleanliness and this house was spotless. We felt so comfortable sleeping in white clean sheets, sitting down in the sofa to watch movies and able to cook food. It felt just like home. The host was very attentive, even sending us the week events of town attractions and favorite restaurants. Overall, if you are visiting Meridad this home will be just for you. 5star House, if I could rate it a 10 I would. We cant wait to go back to Merida and spend more days in this beautiful home. We loved this house! It was 10 of us 5 adults, 5 kids and it was perfect. Looks just like the pictures. Modern home, Very clean, very responsive hosts. The pool was just right! AC in every room, including living room!

Casa Mariposa is a true gem in Centro Merida. Our family was very comfortable there in the quiet and private location. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed. The Guidebook was full of great recommendations for restaurants and other activities. The property manager was very responsive and was even able to arrange in home massages for us on short notice. Check in and out was simple and stress free. I highly recommend and hope to visit their other properties in the future.

My family and I truly had a great time at this property during the New Year holiday. The house was comfortable and looked exactly like the pictures. The staff was extremely helpful and made check in a breeze. The area was within minutes of driving to a restaurant, bakery or mall. We would definitely return. A true gem!

We had a magical family reunion for Christmas, I look forward to visiting Mérida again and would always recommend the entire team at Burro Y Flauta! The quick response for any questions or problems was unbelievable, I have never had such a 5 star experience at an Air B and B. Thank you!!

Very beautiful house! The pictures on the the website are exactly as it looks. As soon as you walk in the design of the house is amazing. The house is spacious in every room it had. With each room having its own restroom which made it great for 8 people. Plus it didn’t feel like we where 8 people in the house, its big enough to have more guest. Everything we needed to wash, make coffee, or drink water. Was provided by the host. Which was great to make us feel right at home.

We loved our time at la Casa Mariposa. The house was truly gorgeous with all the needed amenities to survive the Merida heat. The ByF team were incredibly responsive and proactive in helping us. We had a large group with kids, and we were pleasantly surprised at how well the sound was insulated for such an open concept. I'd recommend Casa Mariposa to anyone!

A unique and beautiful house. Clearly Casa Mariposa is well cared for. It is bright and airy throughout yet has good privacy. Perfectly clean. Nice appliances and finishes. Pool was refreshing. The house has great air conditioning, which was much needed. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans and the like, though lacks a dishwasher. Coffee supplies were provided, and olive oil, but no other cooking staples. Easy parking. Responsive hosts. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise because there is a rooster who lives behind the house who crows in the wee hours (like 3am). The house is in Barrio Santiago, within walking distance to a convenience store and the local market. Too far to walk to the Cathedral or Paseo de Montejo area not because it’s a super long walk but because Merida is a scorching blast furnace and walking more than a block or two in the daytime is a hot, sweaty, miserable experience. (Was above 100 F the first week of April)

Mariposa house is lovely and comfortable, with some cool architectural features. We were 6 friends traveling together and the house suited us very well. There were 5 large bedrooms, each with comfortable beds and nice closets. The best part was the glassed in gardens in each room. The bathrooms were well stocked, and each had a large shower. The shared living space was perfect for us, compact but had everything we needed. The outdoor space is beautiful and tropical. The pool was pristine clean when we arrived. in fact, the whole house was spotless. The management were extremely responsive and always got back to us immediately. They were very accommodating in all ways. Gracias Becca and Alberto!

Great stay in Christmas 2023 - Becca and the team did an outstanding job if welcoming us. The concierge service was great from shopping to Christmas tree decoration to tours and transfer and a private chef which was our best meal by far. The tours and transfers organized by Pepe were superb and in addition to the professionalism, he was also great company and very entertaining. Location is about a 10-15 to the very centre but it is a safe and interesting walk in, with lots of coffee shops / markets and boutiques on the way. Merida itself is a great town with lots to see and do and represents the best of Mexico. Thank you Becca and team for everything!

Inconspicuous from the outside, a gem from the inside. Better than the pictures. Kitchen top! Communication with Becca and Beto was excellent. Quiet location but very central, 40-50 MXN with Uber to Plaza Grande. Oxxo and SuperAki around the corner Pool a highlight for the kids, perfect for our weekend in Mérida. I would be happy to come back.

The house is very nice with 5 very spacious and comfortable bedrooms, very well equipped with excellent care and a very good location. They recommended us to a chef who made us very good breakfasts

Excellent place for family and friends holidays!

We were in Merida for 7 nights and stayed at Casa Mariposa. It is exactly as the pictures describe. The place is very spacious and comfortable. We had more than enough of everything: towels, toilet paper, soap, mosquito spray, laundry detergent, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. Becca greeted us and showed us the place. B&F made a group chat to ensure we had effective communication with them. We used it often for getting questions answered and to resolve a couple of issues that came up during our stay all of which were immediately resolved and B & F. They were very attentive to ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. The air conditioning works very well, especially during very warm weather. It was great not having to worry about anything during our stay. We really enjoyed our vacation and our family of 9 had more than enough room to feel like we each had our own space but still connected. Friendly management team with great communication!! Will come back!

We had an amazing time staying in Mariposa. This beautiful home perfectly fit our six adults and four kids with room to spare. The pool was a big hit, especially during those hotter days. The neighbors are very friendly and gave us some great recommendations on cafés, and restaurants. All walking distance. The staff at B&F were very friendly and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. We cannot wait to return to Merida and stay at a Burro y Flauta home.

Beautiful, modern home and very comfortable! Host was top-notch and very responsive. Air conditioning was very powerful in every room. Pool was immaculate and cool. Walking distance to the Plaza and the local market. Only 30 min Uber ride to the beach. Had an issue with the water and host had it fixed within hours. Great experience; will come back!

Amazing all around. We had 8 people comfortably stay. Not only was the location ideal, a concierge came with it, along with recommendations on what to do, where to eat, and things to do. The concierge was a spectacular service, he was patient, flexible and helped us with recommendations, booking reservations and tours, and being on stand by for us. We felt like we were home, and we didn’t want to leave. We will be recommending this place to everyone and hope we can return to Merida and stay with Burro y Flauta again.

This house is a vacationer's DREAM! The house is truly a work of art and you feel like you're staying in a private paradise! The house has everything one could need and want. We were even provided with welcome drinks! We were a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for everyone! The pool was amazing and there were plenty of beach towels provided for the group. Becca, the property manager had great communication prior to, during and after our stay. Beto, the concierge welcomed us at the Air BnB, gave us a great tour of the house and walked us through their extensive guide book filled with amazing recommendations and local resources. We had a driver for most of the weekend, but the home is near many amazing squares, restaurants and shops that we felt very safe walking to. There is also a supermarket a few minutes away that had everything we needed for the week! If you are going to be staying in Merida, we 10/10 recommend you stay here!

This place is gorgeous! We had 3 families. The kids loved the pool, and the bunk room was perfect. We also ate a meal they provided for a fee. It was amazing!! We were pretty happy visiting family so did not need a lot of recommendations, but she offered them. I’d stay again for sure

The butterfly house is very comfortable and enjoyable. Everything is very clean and nice. They are very friendly and always willing to help. It's definitely worth it, we had a very nice time there.

The house is fantastic. It looks just like the pictures and was super clean. The concierge was more than responsive, responding very quickly and helping us book day trips for a good price. We had 6 adults and two kids and had plenty of space. The neighborhood is not very clean and getting to centro is a bit of a walk (20 mins) but Uber was cheap and easy to use.

Beautiful place to stay. Beds are comfortable, pool and outdoors space is gorgeous, and kitchen is very well stocked. We really enjoyed staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. Host was really accommodating and had welcome gifts for us. One of the bed frames was slightly loose and they came to fix it immediately. Very good attention to detail, very clean. Loved it, would highly recommend.

Perfect place for transformation 🦋 The entire stay was amazing! The photos are great but seeing it in person was truly fireworks! Gorgeous layout and architecture. A private space with open spacious layout. The B&F staff were highly responsive and extremely helpful during our stay. We used the guidebook that was provided like it was a "vacation bible". We opted to have a farewell dinner hosted by B&F and it was the perfect addition to our already wonderful experience there. Location is within walking distance of everything you'd need and if not, DiDi or Uber are available for cheap rides. We paid an average of $3-5USD for all of our trips. Paseo Montejo had great shops, a market and restaurants to hop around to on Saturday night along with a festival. Truly grateful we opted to stay here during our first trip to Merida. Exceptional service and wonderful owners!

Absolutely a great experience from booking through check-out. We had a group of 9 for a long weekend for a wedding and it was the perfect house for us. Great communication throughout for anything we needed and the in-person check-in with Beto was very helpful to show us the place. House was extremely clean with nice amenities and the attached bathrooms was a good set up for us all. Included helpful touches like many hangers, spots for charging devices, extra pillows, and pool towels. Ubers to any area are cheap ($2-5 USD) and take about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The garage was helpful for our rental car as well. Highly recommend renting or arranging a car service to visit the Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyché (about an hour away) which lasts about 2 hours. Book your spot in advance if you need an English speaker. Thank you Becca and Beto for a great few days in Merida!

We had a wonderful stay in July 2022 at Casa Mariposa. There were 8 of us and all were comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we were enjoying our time and that we had everything that we wanted and needed. The only complaint that I might have is that the location is a little far from the plaza, restaurants, and shopping. Merida was VERY hot and humid, so the 20-30 minute walk was too much. We rented a car anyway so we just drove to the city center.

This was the best airbnb house I’ve ever stayed in. Highly, highly recommended. Check-in was as easy as it gets and house itself is incredible. We were with a group that included 2 architect couples and they were all blown away by the layout and design of the house itself. There were four couples and two kids and the bedroom layout worked perfectly for our group. Each bedroom is very private and the public space, courtyard, and pool are all perfectly sized for groups like ours. Merida is an incredible place and this spot was walkable to any of the places we wanted to visit. This place rules, well done to the owners.

The house was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and fully equipped with everything my kids and I needed for our week’s stay there. Host Becca and house manager Beto anticipated and took excellent care of our every need. Beto went above and beyond to print paperwork for us, arrange a housecall from a doctor, Covid tests for us to be performed at the house, and everything else we needed. The response time of Beto and his crew was practically instantaneous. We were so impressed and are so grateful. I was quite nervous about traveling alone with my six kids (and only speaking a little Spanish), but Beto and Becca made everything as stress-free for us as possible. Beto (who speaks better English than we do) met us at the house and gave us lots of helpful info and resources for a great stay. The house is in an extremely safe, friendly, and quiet neighborhood. It was a very easy walk to lots of plazas, restaurants, and shops. We could not have asked for a more beautiful house, better location, or more accommodating hosts. This was the best family vacation we’ve ever taken. We hope to get back there soon. Thank you, Becca and Beto!

A group of friends and I stayed at Casa Mariposa for one week. There was 7 of us in total and the house was perfect for a group. Beto and Becca were both extremely helpful throughout the stay and kept our luggage in their offices so we could explore Merida. The house was very clean and exactly as advertised on the posting. Would definitely recommend staying in any of their accommodations :)!

We spend four days at Casa Mariposa and we didn't want to leave! We were 6 adults and 2 kids and the house had plenty of space. We met with extended family to celebrate a birthday and a couple of days we had guest over, sitting outdoor by the pool there was plenty of room for everyone, and the kids loved the pool. Becca and her team have designed such a wonderful space to make sure your stay is memorable. The house is beautiful. It was spotless and had everything you could need away from home; without making you feel you are at someone else's house. The beds were comfortable. The closet space was perfect for a long stay, plenty of hangers and drawers. Each bedroom had a desk if you need to work while on your stay, and the wi fi worked well. We did not prepare meals at the house, yet for what I saw it is well set up for cooking meals, and the dinning table is large enough for every one to seat together. The location is good, walking distance to downtown. If you like ice-cream, make sure to visit Pola Gelato, walking distance. We had a couple of unexpected maintenance issues that were solved within the hour, their team is very responsive and professional. We will be happy to come back to one of their properties next time we visit Merida.

Well, five stars ⭐️ and more stars ⭐️ !! If you need a great place to stay, security, calm, location; this is the place. One thing that I noticed is that all the appliances and electronics are state of the art; like: Harman & Kardon sound bar system, you can enjoy movies after a productive day, great AC in every single square feet of the house, pool with jets, kitchen with state of the art appliances and all the utensils you need (thank you), garage for two cars, keyless entry main door system, great internet speed; in other words, don’t look further more and rent this property.

This home is really beautiful with plenty of space for your family - or several families. We had a group of 12 and we were perfectly comfortable. The hosts were AMAZING and helpful with all our needs. We appreciate the way they checked on us and kept in touch as needed during our stay.

Everything was perfect

The house is WONDERFUL. It feels fancy with a grand entry. Every single part of the house is nice- the classy front sitting entrance, cozy living room, large dining table, functional kitchen and perfect bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was a great refreshing way to take a break from the heat of the day. My family and I stayed at Casa Mariposa for a few nights while exploring Merida and I cannot recommend it enough! The communication with the host before and during the trip was excellent. The check-in & check-out process was straightforward and thoroughly explained. I highly recommend this home for anyone who plans to visit Merida. You won’t regret it!

Casa Mariposa was an absolute pleasure. From the moment you walk through the smart door into the open foyer the house welcomes you with its open terrace, huge double garage with a massive washer and dryer to the wall of windows bringing you from the pool into the living room and dinning room area with a well-crafted metal design. You're in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Merida in a modern and beautifully architected new home. The house had everything we needed and is spacious enough for 2 couples or a large family or group. I loved the small touches in the design with each bedroom having plants (with automated watering system) outside of the windows to bring that outdoor feeling in but there was still a nice level of privacy for each space so you can all come together or have your own private time. The massive upstairs master suite is amazing and really its own respite area with comfy beds for a sound sleep. I had to work each day and the internet held up on connectivity and speeds while using multiple devices/video and having the SmartTV streaming which is hard to find in Merida let alone many other cities. Beto (house manager) is the friendliest and most responsive person you'll ever meet and is really there to make sure everything runs smoothly - which it did. Mike (Host) had great communication before and during my stay, checked in on me to ensure I had everything I needed and really made us feel welcomed. Thank you for having us at your beautiful home; we can't wait to return!

The house is spectacular but what we liked the most is the attention and hospitality of the donkey and flute team. This is our second time staying with them and we will certainly do it again when we return to Merida.
