We truly loved our stay at Casa Viva - a great mix of jungle & beach settings. The house was perfect for us and our two teenagers. I’ve stayed in this area of CR before and this property was by far the best. So well kept. Carlos was incredibly helpful with anything we needed and with recommendations and activities too.

Out stay was great. It was a such a unique experience staying on the ocean and in the Jungle. The bungalow and grounds are so beautiful. And a great area away from normal tourist type traps.

This was exactly what we needed for our last week, we LOVED IT.....

What an amazing stay we had at Casa Viva! It’s exactly what you’d expect when you want to stay in Costa Rica: a bungalow in the middle of the jungle just 50 yards from the beach and Atlantic Ocean! Our party loved our stay here and found it easy to head into the main town of Puente Viejo to enjoy food and nightlife. (Head to Hot Rocks bar: you might just see a sloth climbing across the ceiling!) It is also just a short 45 minute drive from the famous Cahuita National Park. The hosts were very responsive to us to get into the property even at 9 PM when we first arrived, with giving recommendations on where to eat, and with finding nearby amenities. Just to be clear, this is a bit of a rustic location with bed nets to protect from bugs and no A/C. There are plenty of fans though and we never felt too hot. The staff did come through one night of our 3 night stay to tidy up and provide fresh towels and linens which was nice. Overall, a great place worth staying at. ¡Pura Vida!

This was our fourth visit in 20 years and still amazing as ever. The craftsmanship of the houses is outstanding. Its an oasis of peace and quiet amongst the monkeys, sloths, birds, agoutis … The beach towels and beach chairs were a nice addition and the daily housekeeping was very much appreciated. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

We loved Casa Viva and would stay again if we ever find ourselves in punto uva. Carlos was very accommodating and communicative throughout our stay.

Luis was so helpful and our stay was heaven! Competing jungle and ocean sounds. Really loved the fruit trees and easy beach access. The bungalow had total Swiss family Robinson vibes, very much a part of the natural environment. The sweet little gecko (Alejandro) who lived inside kept us entertained with his squeaks, as did the birds and howler monkeys who live on the property. You can’t beat the sound of rain on a metal roof, and carrying your coffee down to the beach to watch the sunrise and take a morning swim means you’ll never want to go home. 10/10

We are a family of five who had absolutely amazing days at Casa Viva Eco Lodge. We saw many exotic animals just outside the house, and the location by the beach was absolutely wonderful. Louis was an excellent and very accommodating host. We can highly recommend this place to other guests.

This place was better than we could’ve expected. It was so good that we extended our stay. The house was perfect and in the most beautiful tropical setting. We were given so many wonderful local recommendations and we love the area and Casa Viva so much. Refresh coconuts every morning was a special touch. I loved waking up in the morning and relaxing in the hammock and listening to the jungle sounds. The most beautiful and quiet beach was only steps away, and we all loved the outdoor shower when we returned from a swim. We will return soon!!!! This place was pure heaven as far as we were concerned.

It was amazing! It was a wonderful place to just be. We really enjoyed the bungalow (nr 1) and being so close to the beach.

I stayed with my family for 3 nights and they were the best of our entire trip, good communication and fast, beautiful location, quiet and private with exit to the beach. It 🙌🏼 was a pleasure, we really enjoyed it! Thank you so much!! We'll definitely be back!
