This was one of the most unique, beautiful, and unforgettable Airbnb stays we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm and character of the property. If you’re looking for a place with a true wow factor, this is it! The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and attentive to any questions or needs we had throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with wonderful restaurants within walking distance, stunning historic buildings and churches. The town itself was warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

A truly beautiful place to stay in Valladolid. The house is every bit as gorgeous as the photos suggest. Shows all the signs of an architect’s care in the design and details, and there is a really lovely outdoors-indoors feel: the living area is by the pool, which is open to the sky, for instance. Swimming in the rain and then hopping out to have a drink under cover is pretty special. Bedrooms and comfortable and bathrooms well appointed - with great showers. The location is tremendous. Five minutes maximum walk to the main street of restaurants and shops, so super accessible but also quiet. Pau and Andres are lovely hosts - sent loads of great recommendations and were very helpful throughout. And have some great Spotify playlists! Thank you.

An absolute architectural gem. I came to Valladolid specifically to stay at this home. It was everything I expected and more. A wonderful blend of nature and brutalist architecture. The neighborhood is cute and walking distance or short drive from downtown Valladolid. Clean and easy communication throughout my stay. I definitely recommend.

One of the most stunning Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at. Lounge in a hammock above the pool. Watch the stars while laying on a sofa, or retreat to a private air conditioned room with a garden view. Great brunch spot on the corner of the block, walkable to some really amazing restaurants. A++

We really loved staying 2 nights here. It was exactly as described and pictured. There’s filtered drinking water at the house. The bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable and serene with excellent showers. The kitchen has everything you need including coffee to get you started. We also loved the location just down the block from the convent. Very easy walk to the main square and all there is to see in Valladolid. Hosts were lovely. Excellent stay.

This is one of the most amazing air Bnb properties we have ever stayed at. The photos don’t do it justice and every detail was perfect. We travel A LOT and this is a place I will definitely return to as it’s just incredible. If you are a lover of architect and thoughtful spaces this is for you. The linens were so soft and the beds were just so comfortable. We stayed with my parents who are elderly and my two little kids. It was only one night but next time I will book for much longer. It’s so so close to town - all the best restaurants and bars are a 5 minute walk. Beautiful incredible amazing!!!!

The house is spectacular. So many intentional, thoughtful details that make you stop and say "Wow." We particularly loved laying in bed looking at the garden through the beautiful, spotless glass doors that extend the width of the wall. Do not miss out on your chance to stay here.

This was the most amazing AirBnBs, and I highly recommend it, but not for everyone. The biggest pro AND con is the open-air concept, which I LOVED, but will YOU think it’s amazing to watch from your couch as a bat skims over your pool and sometimes flutters over your head? (I do!) Will you tolerate a few extra mosquito bites because it’s just so amazing to lie in the hammock attached to real live trees in the living room? (We came in February; mosquitos weren’t too bad in dry season, but the kids still got lots of bites.) If you say YES then read on! Other pros besides the super cool architecture were an amazing walkable neighborhood location right by the square with the convent and lots of restaurants, a very helpful and responsive host, and the pool and outdoor shower. Other cons the WiFi is not the strongest, the lighting is dim in the living room, and there were often a lot of leaves in the pool (although the host will send a pool cleaning guy on request.)

The most amazing Airbnb I've ever stayed in. The whole house is an experience, you have a different feeling in each space of the house, it smells good, the sheets are soft, the mattresses are very good, there are enough spaces. It has that WOW factor! They give you very well-designed houses! The area is excellent, it is next to the convent, so there are several restaurants and stalls nearby. If you like architecture, don't hesitate to book it! 1000% recommended. I wish there were more places like this!

Casa Gruta is something very special for Valladolid, which remains a charming and enjoyable destination in a very touristic country. There are very few unique, special and interesting houses anymore anywhere since most of the world has become very banal and unoriginal. All I can say is just grab some close friends and book it.

The best airbnb we've ever stayed in!! We chose Casa Gruta for my boyfriend's and my best friend's birthday celebration. Since we saw the publication, we knew that this would be the ideal place... the architectural proposal, the attention to detail, the aromas, everything!! From the moment you arrive, you immerse yourself in the concept of entering a "grotto". It was fascinating and the fact that they used green in absolutely everything, we loved it 💚 My boyfriend is a musician and he really enjoyed playing in the rooftop area while the sun was setting, which made the experience even more perfect The location is excellent, very close to the main avenue of Valladolid where you can find restaurants, cafes and craft shops to take a nice souvenir Pau's service was 10/10, he helped us a lot with the flexibility in the check-in and check-out, he was always available! We fell in love with the whole experience, Thank you for everything Pau and Andrés, I'm sure we'll see you soon 🪨💚

This was one of the most unique places I’ve ever seen. We were all in love with the house. Absolutely stunning! The location was perfect. Right off the town square. And Pau was great. Got back to us instantly with any questions. Would absolutely stay here again.

The cave house is a timeless and extraordinary place: we thought we would come there to rest and visit Valladolid, but we also discovered a unique piece of architecture that lives from the inside. Casa Gruta is discovered over the days, the first visit does not alone allow you to realize all the details of the construction of the place. Each room has its own feeling and features, we spent some time visiting our friends' rooms and enjoying the atmospheres they offer. The rest of the house is like a set of common areas, between the large terrace upstairs and the central space of the house where there are swimming pool and living space. The kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool area is ideal size and convenient to always have everything on hand. It's a place to live, we can't wait to go back.

We fully enjoyed staying in Valladolid at Casa Gruta. In addition to many amenities such as being next to the main square, the convent, the park, rich restaurants and the pedestrian walker... the house itself is an experience at all times of the day: for its lighting, architectural details, useful and aesthetic tools, as well as for the distribution of areas and spaces to take advantage. My family and I stayed - with two children - and it was ideal for cooking, swimming, rest and playing games together. The details in the house I always look at: sheets, shower, furniture to be… all impeccable and a super selection even musical in spotify. We'll definitely be back! jose y dani
