Here’s a polished version of your review you can post: ⸻ We went on a girls trip of 6 and were looking for a place that felt safe, walkable, and close to La Quinta Avenida since there’s no Uber in Playa del Carmen. This Airbnb exceeded our expectations right away the space was much bigger than we anticipated, and the location was perfect, right on 5th Avenue. The place was very clean, and each room had its own A/C unit and ceiling fan, which made a big difference for comfort. It also has a private balcony and a rooftop terrace, which were perfect for relaxing and having a chill night in. There are so many restaurants and coffee shops nearby, plus a Go Mart and pharmacies within walking distance, so it was super convenient whenever we needed anything. We also had some uncertainty with our flight due to weather back home, and our host, Gaston, was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout.

Prime location, located on the corner of 5th ave. From the moment you exit the building you step into a lively environment with two vibey restaurants on adjacent corners, a convenience store right around the corner. Countless restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs all within walking distance. The space itself was great with very spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Main space was great and an added bonus was the Harman speaker which helped fire us up before stepping into the night. We’d stay here again next time we visit Playa.

Gaston’s place was great. It was clean. It was in a great area. There were always taxis outside. He was super responsive and polite. Checking in and out was easy. The children loved the pool. It was spotless. The rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were great and clean. The water pressure a temp was great. No cold showers. Rooms were far apart enough. Everything was perfect. Conveniencestore was next door. I will book again for sure

The space is truly top notch. Everything was impeccably clean, and the apartment is decorated with a lot of taste. The location is perfect: close enough to explore the entire Fifth Avenue comfortably on foot, but at the same time sufficiently far from the nightclubs so that you are completely spared from noise. Gaston went out his way to help my family locate a lost item. His communication was first rate and he helped us navigate a tricky situation with an unexpected level of care. On top of all that, the place is amazing! My multi generational family of 5 was super comfortable in the apartment. We had an amazing time using the rooftop pool, lounging in the living room and outdoor patio, and we all slept well in the comfortable beds. The location is unbeatable. The restaurants that surround the building are top notch and the ocean is beautiful 5 minute walk away. All in all, this is the spot in Playa Del Carmen!

Outstanding property. Very large and clean. Great bedrooms and each room had its own bathroom. Regarding the area, safe and clean. Only thing that surprised me was the size of the closet beach was very small. Everything else GREAT

Gaston’s place looked exactly like the photos on his profile. He was responsive and attentive to any concerns we had. His place was clean and it smelled good. I don’t remember a hot tub posted but to our great surprise there were a private one located in the home on the third level. He was nice enough to allow us to check in 30 mins early free of charge. The ac in each room worked well as well as everything else in the home. The home is located in a good location as far as restaurants and shops mins away . The only compliant I had which ISNT his fault OR within his right to change is the taxi that sits right outside of the building. Trying to get an uber is very hard . They often dropped out pickup because of the taxi people . One day we was told we had to get out the car of the uber because the taxi guy followed us and stopped the uber driver because we told the taxi driver we didn’t need his service. My advice is to just allow the taxi driver to pick you up and drop you off.

The apartment is in a fantastic location on 5th Ave where the noise isn’t an issue like it can be down closer to the pier. The layout is perfect for groups as each bedroom has its own private bath along with 2 additional half baths. The building itself felt secure and was an easy walk to many great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to folks who are planning a trip to PDC.

This is the second time staying in a listing provided by Gaston and this building and we were not disappointed! The location is right on 5th Avenue and is extremely close to restaurants and shops but the listing is still very quiet a peaceful. Gaston is very accommodating and answers right away to any query that we had. Highly recommended!

The location is ideal as it's in the quieter end of 5th Ave (Quinta Avenida) amazing restaurants nearby. the best stretch of restaurants on calle 38 is literally around the corner. I also found amazing restaurants north of this place on 5th Ave.... the convenience store at the bottom of the building is really well stocked. Gaston was really responsive and the place was bigger than what the photos suggest. all of us had plenty of room! I would book this place without hesitation when I ckme to Playa again.

Great location! Wake up and 2 minutes to coffee, a juice bar, and all that 5th Avenue has to offer. Less than 8 minute walk to the beach. Friendly and helpful front desk, especially the young man who helped me get to the pharmacy when my daughter had a bad stomach at 3am, he was a lifesaver! Gaston is uber responsive, comments/concerns he gets back to you right away. Nice ocean view from the building’s roof deck. This unit faces 5th Avenue, but it never felt noisy (and we visited New Year’s week) Great plunge pool and upstairs deck that faces 5th.

We booked a last minute stay with our in laws and two babies and it was so good, we decided to add on an extra 5 days! Awesome location off 5th avenue, right by tons of great food and a lovely walking street for strolling with the babies. We also loved the private dipping pool which was partly shaded for perfect first swimming pool experiences :). Quiet enough for mid day naps and early beds. Gaston was travelling abroad during our stay so was a bit slower to respond; however, when we had an issue with accessing the unit via the key pad the front desk staff were super helpful. Gaston was friendly and gracious allowing a late checkout free of charge to accommodate our schedule. Overall would absolutely stay again and recommend to friends.

The property is large and pampering, each room has a privacy, a bomb location right on 5th Avenue and within walking distance of everything and from the sea! The heated pool was perfect especially at times when it was raining and it was cold. Every problem we had Gaston was answered and helped quickly, we enjoyed adding another night!!

If you want to be in PDC proper, this is a stellar location from whence to center your activities. A few easy blocks to the beach, Avenida Quinta (the quiet part) right downstairs, stores nearby- no need to rent a car or hire a taxi unless you venture beyond Playa. Loved that Tierra Verde (daytime) and Axiote (eve) were super close for stellar food. People who say Yucatán/QR doesn’t have a rich culinary history compared to other Mexican states must just be dining at the wrong places- Sikil Pak is one of the best things a person can eat in all of Mexico. But I digress. Gaston’s place is laid out perfectly, with kitchen & living room on the main floor, 3 bedrooms spaced far apart one level up, and the rooftop pool one above that. The pool is fab- both hot or cold, & a major perk. One nice thing- no worrying about a million keys or bracelets to get in, front desk security & a personalized room code made enter/exit a breeze. Gaston is a great, flexible communicator, too. Overall A+.

Great place and location. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus on the hot summer days. It's right on 5th avenue but the entrance is on the side of the building and it always felt quiet once inside. Easy access to everything including a grocery store that's about a 5-10 minute walk. The beach is just a couple blocks away too. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was just what we wanted during our stay in Playa Del Carmen.

Everything was excellent. The apartment is amazing and the location is almost perfect. The only thing to improve is that they should provide soap and shampoo, but apart from that, everything was excellent. I would return without hesitation.

I've been coming to the Mayan Riviera for 6 years now.. this was hands down, the best airbnb I've stayed in. Upstairs pool and TV set up with a view was incredible. Area is right on 5th and close to everything, and downstairs you have a 24hr corner store. I highly recommend booking this spot if it's available. We will be back, thank you Gaston!

Gaston's place was outstanding! Very close to great restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores etc. Right on 5th Avenue, 5 minutes from 12th Avenue and the beach was great. The house is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. Very comfortable, we had to force ourselves to get out of bed. The kitchen is well equipped with things you need. This made our stay in Playa one of the best.

Excellent apartment, well located at the end of 5th Avenue, very spacious, quiet and very safe!. We went on a family trip and the truth is that we really enjoyed both the apartment and the area... the maintenance in general needs to improve a bit since we had a problem with an air conditioner and the washing machine, but Gastón solved the problem in less than 24 hours. Additionally, the sewer smell coming from the showers is strong, but strangely this is normal in buildings in Mexico. Perhaps they should renovate the shower drains and install new air fresheners. Gastón is very kind and responds quickly!... I'm sure we'll be back!

This was the perfect spot for a group of friends! There's no shortage of condos in Playa, but the location, private pool and helpful host & front desk staff really set it apart. You're close to everything on 5th, but this particular block is more peaceful. The private pool gets lots of sun so we really spent most of our time there. Would definitely stay again.

The location is perfect. Beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Rooftop Jacuzzi was awesome as was the 5th Ave balcony, both very spacious. While there was a lot of activity outside, the windows and doors kept the noise out. Check-in was effortless and the condo complex feels very safe. Zero complaints here.

Gaston is an amazing host. The listing is just as described but the pictures don’t do any justice whatsoever everything was breathtaking. It’s an ideal location on 5th ave that’s walkable to the beach, restaurants, banks & stores. We always felt safe and comfortable. Keyless entry and WiFi was a plus. Security is on the premises. If you want to venture outside 5th ave it’s a taxi driver on standby near the building. Don’t pass up on this listing if you’re planning a trip to Playa Del Carmen.

Our entire family enjoyed staying at this beautiful home over the Christmas holiday. With our own private pool, numerous big screen tv’s (for watching football of course), and a private bathroom in each of the three bedrooms was a perfect fit for us. The 4th floor balcony overlooks 5th Avenue so you can watch all of the action below, but once the glass doors are closed, all is quiet for a great night’s sleep. We recommend this place for anyone looking for a step up in luxury at a reasonable price. One more thing; Gaston was super responsive to our questions.

Had a great stay. Beautiful listing and centrally located right next to the avenue. Only issue was a sewage smell coming out of the shower drain in one of the bathrooms but Gaston immediately had it resolved. Really enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi/mini pool with the TV. Will definitely book again.

What can I say?! The pics don’t do justice to this place. It is beautifully decorated and large, perfectly situated on 5th Ave without the noise, completely secure and safe and has all the amenities to stay indoors. I’m giving it 5+ because it exceeded my expectations and the host was excellent. Excited to come back and stay here. You will not regret if you book, trust it’s a gem!

Gaston is an amazing host. Before, during and after our stay he was very attentive and he made sure we were comfortable at all times. During our stay we had a few question and he was very quick to respond our inquiries. The place is magical! Just a few steps from 5th avenue and playa mamitas, and it is beautiful from the inside and outside. The private pool is extremely nice and and the best part is that it is really private. You will not find anything better in Playa and if you want to create forever memories this is the place to stay.

Gaston is not just a Super Host-He is a Super Fantastic Host. He was extremely responsive to all my questions. He kept in touch with me prior to and during our week-long visit. The condo was superb. There were 3 couples in our party and each had their own primary suites. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and clean. We spent a lot of time on the third floor of the condo at the private outdoor heated pool watching the football bowl games on a new flat screen TV that Gaston had just purchased prior to our stay. Let's talk about the location of the condo on 5th Avenue-superb! we walked everywhere for breakfast, lunch or dinner as we weren't that keen on cooking on vacation. We were two blocks from the beach. This part of 5th Ave where the condo is located is the BEST!! We ate at great restaurants but also ordered lots of carry out pizzas for all that football watching across the street from the condo at De Local. We could not have had a better vacation.

We had a great stay at Kuxtal. The location is super convenient, right on popular 5th avenue, but away from the noisy bars on the south end of 5th. We really enjoyed the music playing at "Off the Vine" in the evenings from the main living area balcony. Once inside and in the front bedroom (that overlooks the living area), we never heard a noise. There are many great restaurants nearby, including those on the ever popular 38th Avenue (La Cueva del Chango has amazing chilaquiles!), and one of my favorite French restaurants, Chez Celine is just down the street. There were only two of us, so we used the front bedroom over the living area, and only used the A/C in that room and the living area. We kept the bedroom door closed, and it stayed very cool. There was no additional cost for A/C, but we were still cognizant and took care not to overuse the expensive electricity. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom nice, modern and clean (as was the entire place). Liquid soap was provided in the bathrooms and kitchen, but be sure to take your own bath soap and shampoo. Ample linens were provided, including beach towels upstairs for the dipping pool. We took advantage (often!) of the wonderful (very) private dipping pool. It was clean and refreshing during the daytime. We turned the heat on a little to warm it up for evening dips - it was perfect! As a note, we were there in November, so the sun wasn't over the pool, but was on the chairs to the side of the pool, which I took advantage of. We loved that area the most! We decided to bring in bottle water, but used the filtered ice from the refrigerator with no issues - according to Gaston, the water from the fridge is potable (drinkable). We took advantage of the washer/dryer, and were able to pack light for the trip. There is an ocean view from the back bedroom window, and also on the rooftop public pool. The view from the private dipping pool overlooks the city, and it's pretty amazing too! Gaston was always quick to answer and address any questions concerns we had, and even reached out to us during the stay to make all was going well. He's a great host!

This place was great. Exactly what it reads. His response time was so very very fast. He went above and beyond. The cooler left at the residence was a lifesaver for our trip. We packed a lunch using it everyday for our adventures as well as to keep water cold. Mexico is hot ya’ll. 🤗. I loved the terrace and each person in my party had their own suite with extra bathrooms to use communally when leaving for the day. Get spot in the action but, enough away to sleep.

The apartment is even better in person than it is in pictures. The place is very clean and you feel at home right away. Each room has its own AC and huge HD Tv. The apartment is three floors. 1st floor you have the kitchen, dinning area, the couch, the 2 in 1 washer and dryer (that is awesome), and you have the balcony with chairs there overlooking 5th Ave. 2nd floor you have a long hallway where you’ll find the three bedrooms. The room with the view of the ocean and the one with the view of the living room are in opposite ends with the room with the view of the inside of the building complex in the middle. The third floor is the pool area with TV and a half bath. I’m the living room there was a really awesome speaker that you can connect multiple Bluetooth devices too and has great sound. Bottom line, The apartment is worth the price and I highly recommend.

Amazing time in Gaston’s apartment! It’s better than the pictures in my opinion. Close to the beach and all the action but quiet enough that you are not effected by noise when it comes to quality of sleep which is extremely important. Gaston is an incredible host, always responding and helping out with anything needed, lovely guy, makes you feel right at home!!! Dulce the lady who works in Kuxtal and cleaned for us is also incredible and deserves a raise!!! She’s sweet, funny and does a very good job. Thank you!!!

This place was perfect for us. Great location, beautiful apartment, amazing hosts. We've shared the listing with friends who are planning trips to Playa del Carmen, and we've already decided that we'll return. Gaston's apartment in PDC is located in an amazing area. It's right next to 5th Avenue and a less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. The apartment includes a plunge pool which is a really nice addition. The amenities provided was great, we felt very safe and secure. He was also a very responsive host, with any issues coming around.. he was there to help out. I highly recommend this place for a group of friends or family traveling to PDC.

Gaston's Airbnb is even better in person than the pictures convey. It is modern, airy and luxurious. It has elements of a smarthouse with innovative features such as electronic blinds, very fast wi-fi, many TV's, etc. My friends and I especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces- there are 2, a balcony on the main level and rooftop deck. It was also extremely convenient to be located next to all the shops and restaurants, but still far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Check in was effortless, the on-site parking was a plus and Gaston was quick to respond to any inquiries I had. I would rank this Airbnb as one of the best I have ever stayed in and look forward to staying here again!

Wow. Where to start? This is an absolutely incredible apartment. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to 5th Avenue and all its amenities while being just far enough to avoid the noise. Beach access is close as well. Everything in the apartment is high end luxury. Internet is super fast. There’s fresh hot and cold drinking water available. Communication with the host was fast, accurate and helpful. The best part was the rooftop pool. It’s the ideal spot to cool off, relax, read, watch tv or listen to music.
