Can't praise the home and hosts enough. The location of the house is absolutely perfect with a view of the ocean while also being surrounded by gorgeous forest creates an incredibly peaceful setting. The house is clean and very well stocked. The master bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable and spacious. You get all the amenities of a modern home but in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle. We saw tons and tons of birds! All sorts of toucans, parakeets and hummingbirds (as well as all the ones identified by the Merlin app - bring binoculars!). We heard howler monkeys VERY close to the house several times, and saw families and solo coatis along the road nearly every day. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and responsive. They responded within seconds, answered all our questions, bent over backwards to help us - thank you so so much!

Fernando and John's house was fantastic. The sunset views were exceptional. And the stargazing at night was out of this world! Now, about those sunsets. My wife and I have been traveling to the southern zone of Costa Rica for many years and these were by far the best sunsets we've seen. It's true this house is a little higher up the mountainside than others we've visited, but that made the view massive and those sunsets incredible. It's well worth the little bit of extra effort to drive up the mountain. Fernando and John were top notch hosts as well. Very responsive and helpful all the way. Highly recommend.
