Rainbow Place Costa Rica

I stayed here for a month. The home is bigger than I thought it was from the photos, with a kitchen, bedroom and living room (and bathroom of course!). There is hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sink, as well as the shower! The living room also has a pull out bed. The kitchen has ample space to prepare meals. The herb garden was amazing. I even got to enjoy fresh off the tree bananas! The views of Lake Arenal and Arenal volcano in the distance never got boring! I did not have a car and walked everywhere. The town is 1km away, the “beach”, a windsurfing area is 2.5km away (but access to the trails is 1km until you are off the main road). The road isn’t really busy (less in the early morning) but no shoulders so you have to be careful when walking on the road. The town has everything I needed: fruit stand, groceries, fresh eggs and fresh milk. Raquel was beyond helpful and so resourceful and Ernesto the cat is super sweet! I felt more like family staying my month with Raquel!

Raquel is the best host. She gave us lots of tips and recommendations. Her house was perfect for what we needed and we'll equipped. You can't beat the view.

If you're looking for personal, beautiful, and cozy accommodation, book Rainbow Place. You won't get a better host in Raquel to help with anything you could want. The space is missing nothing and she offers smart solutions that we greatly appreciated, such as filters for drinking water from the tap, fruit and herb garden for use, crib and toys for the kids and time and desire for local recommendations and help. Everything was great at Raquel's place and she gets our warmest recommendations! :)

A little paradise in nature. The views of the lake and volcano are worth a wellness therapy.

Raquel is a wonderful hostess, and the pictures hardly do the apartment justice. It is so much more. I especially liked that there are a multitude of places on the compound to hang out in: the kitchen, the living room / yoga room, the front porch, the back patio, the bedroom, the edible garden, etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished. The sounds of the wind and animals surround you day and night. I highly recommend and would stay again!
